101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can somebody explain me this double spending? on: July 10, 2014, 08:26:47 PM
Oh, scary! When buying with bitcoins in a shop for example, then it's too long time to have to wait 10 minutes for the transaction to be completed. Doesn't this mean that people could use hacked wallets that double spend all the time?
False Bitcoins ? Holly... i wonder if this is just a bug, passing issue or a huge stinky trouble that may cause Bitcoin to crash  Cry
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really believe that Bitcoin will hit 1,000,000 on: July 10, 2014, 02:20:18 AM
When it gets mainstream, oh yes i believe on it, i'm anxiously waiting for the Winklevoss prediction of 70k by 2017, if that happens then

everything would be possible...
103  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's see if Bitcointalk members are smart on: July 09, 2014, 10:37:49 PM

104  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Do Philosophers Do? on: July 09, 2014, 10:09:52 PM
They think about useless stuff.

One thing i learned between dreams inside philosophy class was that this boring thing is the first step of all remaining science,

it is the main idea, "I think and then exist"...
105  Economy / Economics / Re: How and why Bitcoin will plummet in price on: July 09, 2014, 04:59:54 PM
So far, network effect is working well for bitcoin. But that doesn't mean there won't be another coin more suitable for payment gateway in the future.
Until that happens i just have to sit and wait for Bitcoin prices going vertical, when another better coin appears maybe i'm already buried in

my own mortuary business...
106  Economy / Economics / Re: When will you be able to retire? on: July 09, 2014, 04:53:56 PM
100k would be just fine for me, if i pick some latin beach for living, those 100k would be 1000k so...  Cool
107  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin tax up to 22% in Greece! on: July 09, 2014, 04:46:28 PM

Come on, it's normal. How would Greek government and bankers afford their luxurious life if they don't tax the peasants ?

Villas, Ferrari, whores and coke are expensive. You must understand them.

It's so irritating to hear that this kind of things happens all around the globe, of course some more than others, but greeks, american,

mexican, european, chinese, politicians will be always the same rats anywhere.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bandcamp and Bitcoin on: July 09, 2014, 04:38:07 PM
It would be nice if that happens, and it could be a beginning for online music and Bitcoins working together, iTunes will surely follows.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Places in Greece which accept BTC on: July 09, 2014, 04:30:30 PM
In Greece everything is imposibble.. Tongue
Oh that's not cool  Lips sealed

Gondel it sounds amazing you are planning to do this, Expedia will surely help you with the stay, my suggestion would be buy everything you need for those vacation on sites like Overstock, NewEgg so at any rate you will promote Bitcoins...

Have Fun !  Grin
110  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: eXbino.com accept bitcoins on: July 09, 2014, 04:17:54 PM
It sounds interesting investing in assets with Bitcoin, it's just a matter of time when some signatures develop eXbino  Grin

The site looks cool just need some translating job...
111  Economy / Economics / Re: Why does acceptance of Bitcoin has to do with the price of Bitcoin? on: July 09, 2014, 04:06:47 PM
As others have said, supply and demand.

The supply will be the same, always will be as that is set in the code.

Demand however, is ever growing but as supply stays the same price goed up.
And that's why there are many predictions that say Bitcoin prices will be thousands and thousands dollars...
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Domain Prices to skyrocket on: July 09, 2014, 04:01:10 PM
For the 99% of us, investing in btc is a better investment than a domain name, btc-related domain names included.
It is only convenient if you start a new business with or without Bitcoin and need specific domain names.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Please stop with mBTC, microBTC, ...! on: July 09, 2014, 03:19:17 PM

In third world countries, bitcoin has fresh field, but you have to introduce it to them like mBTCs, seeing that every unit is less than a dollar, it will get sold like hot bread.
People cant afford the idea of buying some currency thats more expensive that his weekly income.

Indeed, and look at the current prices, now imagine if the Winklevoss prediction of 70,000 each by 2017 comes to reality  Roll Eyes those mBTCs

will be uBTCs... personally i don't like that, the Satoshi measurement seems easier to me.

One consistent denomination seems ideal. No confusion, uniformity, simplicity. Question is, what denomination? The "dollar" works for USD.

I see this as an issue for metric applications to bitcoin.
I guess this kind of issues will be solved with time and use of people, my advice would be use a denomination which is more easier and convenient for yourself...
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is slowly dying now, no more moon ! on: July 08, 2014, 07:52:47 PM
It may be the case that we're now slowly go up to 630 and start accelerating to 650 with an immediate target of >700. If this happens, we might get interesting prices by August.

But what if Bitcoin crashes because of this:

Then a huge pump will happen...
115  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: July 08, 2014, 07:46:09 PM
With enough foresight, smart research and productive discussion you can't make a bad decision with Bitcoin  Cool

117  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens when *WE* are the wealthy elite? on: July 08, 2014, 07:34:31 PM
When you say "WE" do you think we are still in an early adoption phase? I mean how early in the game are we still?
So early that right now at least 50 countries around the globe doesn't even can pronounce "Bitcoin" word...
118  Economy / Economics / Re: What if someone wants to buy out Bitcoin on: July 08, 2014, 06:44:40 PM
If someone owns a majority of all the bitcoin, the function of it being a currency will be lost because no one can use it. Wouldn't the value of bitcoin actually falls?
If someone holds the majority of all the Bitcoin, remaining ones would be invaluable i guess, the high demand stay still
119  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-07-08] 5,000 Terminals Across Ukraine Now Offer Bitcoin for Cash on: July 08, 2014, 06:38:16 PM
Unbelievable how Bitcoin has evolved itself on other countries and here in Mexico seems to be barely prehistoric age  Cry
120  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why bitcoin is going nowhere (too hard to buy bitcoin) on: July 08, 2014, 06:33:04 PM
LocalBitcoins works fine just be careful with the thrust, buying is a piece of cake, selling is harder i guess.
