301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone waiting for v2.0 but... on: August 17, 2020, 11:15:34 PM
Considering how big the Ethereum blockchain has grown over the years, I do not see the delay as an unwelcome development, but rather I see it as something that is bound to happen so that the best services can be achieved once it finally launches. Ethereum has grown so much and every step the team takes needs to be accurate to avoid loopholes that will give rise to security breaches. So I believe the team are doing the right thing and just as the community has stood by them till now, they will still continue in that way, because Ethereum is an exceptional blockchain more better than most blockchains out there.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VIP telegram channels...is it worht it on: August 17, 2020, 11:03:33 PM
By serfing on telegram I've found several channels that suggest plans to join their VIP signals channels/groups (but sometimes it seems to me they exagerate in term of the prices).
I'd like to know your thoughts/experiences with these paid channels for someone who faces difficulties in learning crypto related trading analysis

Do not join any paid telegram group for trading signals because they are not what they tends to be and you will only end up losing your funds. Even top experts will hardly share trading signals because they know the risks in trading and that the market can go sideways and everything will change; and yes those paid groups exaggerate on their signals. As for someone finding it difficult to trade, my only advice is to get a mentor who will teach and lead you, the best way to trade is by learning it first not by following any paid trading signal group that cares only about the money you will pay.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto ratings? on: August 17, 2020, 05:05:41 PM
I think crypto rating websites are better used as a guide not to trust them because each of them are gotten out of personal opinions therefore I don't think it is wise to use the personal opinion of someone or group of people to decide how good a cryptocurrency is or will become. So therefore, I do not trust them but can use them to get several Information about a particular token, which of course is subject to more reviews and so on.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which are your top 5 coins for HODL? on: August 17, 2020, 05:00:07 PM
What are some of your favorite long term HODL coins?

I particularly have these in my portfolio for HODL:
Bitcoin
Ethereum
Cardano
Tron
Still trying to figure out the fifth one to hold for a long term good return.

Your favorite coins with a bright forseeable future?

My top 5 coins for holding are Ethereum, Cardano, Bitcoin, Stellar and Binance Coin. These coins in my own opinion, have one thing which makes them highly attractive to me and that is, each of them is filling a gap (that is solving an issue) in the crypto space and which is why since weeks now they have been growing. Not only them though, there are still others which are growing as well but these ones are my top 5. In addition, most new coins are found wanting these few weeks because it is now clear investors are after coins with utility which will make their investments valuable.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects and their unreal excuses on: August 16, 2020, 08:46:13 PM
Unreal excuses is just a way and/or strategy the team is using to buy time, in some cases the wait may worth it and some cases as well the wait will be a waste of time. While many are giving excuses and blaming covid-19 others are sticking to their platforms plans and today they are further ahead of many. Lastly, this excuse of a thing has just helped the entrie crypto space to know the good and hardworking team.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap Listings on: August 16, 2020, 08:41:08 PM
Happy for you but will still warn you to be careful, scammers likes such hype and with the level of projects rushing to Uniswap it's a cause for concern. Everything will look normal they will pump the token but when they will cash out it will be terrible. So as you are trading and enjoying the hype and all that, be careful and always be at alert that you don't get caught when the dump will take place. Just like Defi is growing and will soon attract scammers, in the same way, Uniswap will soon attract scammers that is, if they aren't there already.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Curve DAO Token] Be careful with this project lost ~0.17BTC ~ $2000 trading it. on: August 16, 2020, 08:34:45 PM

That's really a huge loss and only you will understand how you feels now but as a trader there is always other good coins that will bring about good profits. Also, something got my attention, 2 million tokens coming into the market daily looks like a deliberate act to me from a group of people could be the team or otherwise and hence not good buying this token for whatsoever reason because when they are done the price might be so discouraging that it will push away potential investors.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to decide on: August 16, 2020, 08:27:07 PM
Hey guys,

So I'm pretty new currently own some Ada, Vechain, ZIL RSR and Flexacoin.  Considering exchanging one of these for Dent, and maybe BAT.
I'm not into Bitcoin really but looking for a high reward possibility coin.  ANy insight or thoughts on any of these? or any high reward/risk ones you guys like?
I don't have a huge amount invested, but thinking about just going all in on Cardano and just holding to save the stress of looking any different ones.

WOuld love any tips or suggestions.  I like CHarles- Cardano alot, I really get the vibe they are onto something big....

To air my own opinion I think the only coin I can go with in my own case is ADA, this is because the team are not the type that relent on what to do, they think it out and work it out too. Thus, I would sell all others and not invest in Dent but in Bitcoin and Ethereum since ADA is already in the wallet. Do not be driven by emotions or by what the team promises to do when they aren't taking enough steps to prove they will fulfill their mandate but go for those with proven good records.

310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AVAX project vs Cardano on: August 14, 2020, 11:44:36 PM
I am just knowing about AVAX, it is among the top coins on coinmarketcap? What is the rank? When was it developed? There is no much information about it on coinmarketcap which shows it is still new or an upcoming project. Now, how can an upcoming project be compared with a project like Cardano which has been around for a very long time whose team are always looking for ways to improve on the services of the platform. It is easy for most new projects to challenge major ones when in reality they don't have what it takes to even challenge them.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin & altcoins? on: August 14, 2020, 11:37:10 PM
It was already months that Bitcoin has been struggling to reach the next level ($10,000). There is no a clear sign that Bitcoin continues rising up or declining its price in the near future. Now, some altcoins can increase their prices more than Bitcoin. Some people stated that it may be the bullish time for altcoins. While others still doubted it, and they claimed it is only about temporary pump done by whales. Well, what do you think about this, guys?

I don't think anyone can perfectly answer the question of if this is bull run or not, because each and everyone will have reasons to back their answers. In my own opinion, the market is recovering because the pandemic regulations are being relaxed with people going back to their businesses and ways of life. Now coupled with Defi hype, people are seeing the need to invest in their desired coins, of which Bitcoin and Ethereum are on the forefront.
312  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reach to $100K ? on: August 14, 2020, 11:31:32 PM
Crypto Trader's the most preferable subjet is the prediction about bitcoin. Many analysts predicted how high and low bitcoin prices could go, similarly, Samson Mow, CSO in Blockstream, which is a leading provider of blockchain technologies and CEO at Pixelmatic, tweeted his opinion on the bitcoin price. What is your opinion?

$100k? Have they started again I think by now people must have learnt their lessons about all these predictions. The reality still stands and that is, anyone listening to all these analysts and their predictions will have themselves to blame. Predictions has never worked, not for bitcoin nor any other coin so it is right time people learn and accept the truth and stop making unnecessary mistakes that will cost them their funds. And the funny thing is, these analysts won't invest on based on the predictions because even they, knows the truth.

314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Compare Withdrawal Fees before you trade on a Exchange on: August 10, 2020, 11:59:10 PM
Today I came across a page by chance where you can compare how much exchanges charge for withdrawal for a certain coin. This is really helpful because especially small and medium coins have partly really high withdrawal fees which you usually only find out when you are about to request a withdrawal and then have no choice but to accept it.

In my case I wanted to know where the cheapest place to trade and withdraw OCEAN token is. The comparison showed me four exchanges, where the cheapest one charges just $0.42 (1 OCEAN token) and the most expensive one $4 (9.5 OCEAN tokens). What an immense difference.

Check out https://withdrawalfees.com

Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with the service. I just found it by chance and find it super helpful.

This is good findings to be frank and will help in a lot of ways but it is also limited which can be seen in cases where the token is trading on just one exchange; also I see it as work in progress, that is, more room to upgrade. However, in my own opinion, I find it better also withdrawing via the coin with lowest fee such as Trx, XRP, XLM. Also, USDT can work too if the exchange supports TRC 20 chain, that is, when withdrawing USDT from an exchange like Binance, via TRC20 chain, there is no fee, however not all exchanges supports it.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The new drama has started in Altcoin on: August 10, 2020, 11:46:23 PM
AS for many days, the crypto market is now in good conduction as compare from the last three to four months. But now a new thing in coming to altcoin, that the prices of all altcoins are fluctuating very badly and not able to stable in a single position for at least an hour. So, what should we do in this dramatic conduction of altcoin?

Seriously it looks good seeing the market in this way because it will keep attracting more users while encouraging others as well. Now about the fluctuations you are referring to, it is how the market is and there is nothing that can be done about it than trading it that way. If you don't want fluctuations then go for stablecoins but I must tell you they are stable in price and hence will never grow. So I don't know what you want to do, but if you want to trade then learn before you get started.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do we really need stable coin? on: August 10, 2020, 11:38:43 PM

Maybe not for you and maybe you have not seen the need to use it which is understandable but to be frank, stablecoins are needed. Now their needs is only limited that is, they are meant to be used within a particular time frame, because since they don't grow in value it doesn't look good holding them for a long time. In addition, this particular time frame aforementioned is during bear market to protect our assets against volatility but once the market looks good, then holding other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin becomes better.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mainframe (MFT) Do you think its a good token? on: August 10, 2020, 11:29:02 PM

I once heard about it but never paid attention to it , hence I don't know much. It's easy for most team to lists features of their project but hard to implement them. The idea of this project is good but is the team doing the right thing about it? Because it is hardly heard of in the crypto space. However, seeing this as a good token will depend on if the team have achieved what they are set to do, if yes then it is a good token and if not then it is just one of those hype projects.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can idena.io be the best altcoin in 2021? on: August 10, 2020, 11:20:56 PM
I want to share my views about IDENA where I still hold it in my bag, we all know that lately many projects that rely on staking or mining have to use large funds, for example we see many new projects coming up where people who have lots of money can buy coins for staking and mining

Idena can also do mining using an ordinary laptop, no need to use CPU or GPU power, even among the lower classes people can get IDENA for free by following validations that are held every 14 days can also do mining

you can read more about IDENA here

"No money for stake or equipment needed, just an average laptop."

you can try to get a free IDENA in the way below without having to spend any capital, at least so you can try using IDENA and won't be fooled into a new crypto project
https://imgur.com/lMnxTXm

I want to get a community opinion about this project too here, share your opinion here so I can get more experience about crypto projects? opinion will be highly appreciated here

I don't know much about this project, it might be good and it might not but what I try to understand is the logic behind thinking that the coin will be the best altcoin in 2021; not one of the best, but the best. I do not agree because there are coins much more better than it starting with Ethereum. One of the reason why most major altcoins are occupying the top rank in coinmarketcap is because they have stood the test of time while expanding in all way round, so thinking a coin like Idena will be the best next year is just exaggeration.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best features in a mobile crypto wallet? on: August 09, 2020, 11:41:07 PM
I understand that hardware wallets are the best and most secure crypto wallet out there if I am speaking correctly. However, mobile wallets are mostly used due to ease of access, free to use, portability, and some personal reasons. With a bunch of mobile wallets out there, choosing a good one is fast becoming a herculean task. In your opinion, what are the top 3 features one should be looking out for in every multi-currency mobile wallet?

It's quite true there are many mobile crypto wallets now and what really differentiate them is their features and advanced nature. About the features to look out for in every multi-cryptocurrency mobile wallet is; does the mobile wallet support a good number of other cryptocurrencies and if yes, for those that have staking systems, does it support it too?. Does it have fingerprint scanner for better and easy accessibility? And lastly, how often does the team release an update to enhance both security and UI?.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Xcard a scam? on: August 09, 2020, 11:32:53 PM
What's happening with Xcard? I participated in this bounty campaign and since months ago now everything seem quiet and no one is talking about the project, is Xcard a scam project or a failed project?

There have been many crypto projects with this type of act which of course shows the team have exited scam. In an active project, the team do not fail to give updates at least once in a while but staying a month without any updates shows the team aren't working on anything and not serious about the project. Therefore if a project is bad, it will also affect the hunters because they will likely not get their rewards. Even if the project should start showing signs of recovery now, it's wise to be careful because the team might have a different opinion.
