305  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Community Miner Design Discussion on: February 19, 2016, 02:55:03 AM
I don't think the finances will make this feasible...  It's not possible to "compete" with a mass produced product once they hit the market.  so a small batch produced by a community isn't viable financially, plus someone still has to be the face of the project, legally, to enter into agreements with manufacturers etc...  Unfortunately the days of making your own miner as a project are over.  It's now more mainstream with several manufacturers.

Actually Sidehack already did some usb stick and everything was perfect. He now have a pick and place machine to be able to best faster.

Yeah its more hard to do it when you are not a big corporate but you can do a home miner  Grin

I have faith in kilo17 and Sidehack

308  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Feb 7 to Feb 19? picks are closed. on: February 17, 2016, 12:58:52 PM
I do thinks that the drop in hashrate could be the fact that BW and Bitfury did try all their gear but now are evaluating the price and the diff.
BW could have mine a little bit and will soon start to sell gear.
Hopefully we will see bitfury gear soon  Grin

311  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) - New Promotion! on: February 14, 2016, 06:34:16 PM
Correct, they are all paid. Your shares / all shares of the pool = your reward.
The reason some person see their estimated reward going down is that some of us are trowing high quantity of th and then make a lot of share in short time.
Doing 500th for 1 day is like doing 50 th for 10 day. But the system calcul your estimated reward base on the share that are actually done. So when a lot of person come at some point and trown a lot of power, then your estimated reward go down. Because you got a smaller % of all shares.  Wink  Simple math  Grin
312  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) - New Promotion! on: February 14, 2016, 06:27:58 PM
What you said is true. 5n is 5 times the network difficulty and all share in that range get paid.
But they get paid base on the % of their share.
So let said you have 1 000 000 share out of 5 000 000 total shares, you wil get 1/5 of the block.
If the pool cross the 5n shares than the first share that have been done will start to be revoe from the calculation.

So, let said you mine 1 000 000 at start and we reach 5n. Your 1 000 000 shares will slowly go down.

Hope its more clear.

You get paid for each share you submit base on the total amount of share the pool have.
