I'd dump all of mine if it hit 30 again. Its always funny to me how people speculate it will hit 50,100,200, etc and then be a stable currency for businesses to adopt. If it makes a meteoric rise like that, its the definition of a volatile currency.

The incentives are just too high. 1,000,000 infected computers (not hard to achieve at all with a Botnet, in reality the more successful Botnets have 10 million or more) will drive the difficulty through the roof!!! edit: oh, and I was paid correctly (daily) back when it was still up. It makes no sense for the operator to run with our money, as it's max. 1 day worth of our mining work. He could get a constant fee if this keeps working, which is probably more.

I need more data to help you, What browser, os, yadda.... And We found 3 blocks in the last few hours Any browser and Windows 7. Tested IE, chrome, firefox. Click on the button and . . . . . nothing happens. Also, loving the 3 blocks solved overnight.  |

I run two pools, multipool at f 30 and a backup pool at f 60 so it doesn't matter if it goes down
Just setup something similar. Edit: Now 10 hours of downtime. At this point I just want to see if my 18 hours of mining was a complete waste or not. Last I saw I had .01BTC from that 18 hours. |

They say its because an old wallet would only allow .xx bitcoins, but in reality its because they can basically steal a small portion of a bitcoin from thousands and thousands of accounts. Doesn't seem like much until you realize that thousands of accounts are in the same position.

I highly recommend multipool as a backup pool or just if ya want to test out OC settings to check your updated hash rate. Once in awhile it gets some massive efficiency boosts. But mainly with eligius, it wastes time on BTCMine and a few others which lower efficiency greatly.
From what I have seen today, I wouldn't even feel safe with it as a backup pool. 5.5 hours downtime and counting. |

Who is going to buy a $100 bitcoin? I have trouble believing people were buying $30 bitcoins. Bitcoins as a currency are worthless right now. The only people buying them are speculators and maybe a sprinkle of drug users. Speculators don't buy high and the drug trade online would really have to explode to support the number of bitcoins people want to sell.

Not a good introduction to the pool. Ridiculously long delay between submitting shares and receiving a reward and now the pool is down and apparently has been for over an hour. I wanted to believe but idk, gotta switch back to something more concrete.
The delay is due to the way this pool works. It can't pay you before it receives payments from the other pools. Sure, the "earned" display could update sooner, but that's just cosmetic. The pool has had quite a few downtimes. Either you accept it or you move to another pool that doesn't exploit other pools. (Or you do it better.  ) Thanks for the info. I can accept the delay in payments, but you say there are quite a few downtimes? Making 10% more than I should is awesome, unless my miners sit idle 10% of the time. . . |
