301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Spreadsheets with Mt Gox Tradehill Bitcoin 7 CampBX, Dwolla and maybe more? on: July 22, 2011, 04:33:02 AM
I'm looking for a way I can visualize all of my history from Mt Gox, Tradehill, Bitcoin 7, CampBX and Dwolla. maybe even later add mining pools.

I should admit I barely know spread sheets, so when I went to import the CSV from Tradehill and Mt Gox into OpenOffice I couldn't figure out how to do it correctly. I just get a big mess.

Does anything exist that can collate the history CSVs and populate maybe a spreadsheet either googledocs or openoffice cal sheets?

I noticed Mt Gox CSV doesn't show BTC properly, along with the Thai char breaking it the BTC column doesn't have a decimal. I guess this is quite an issue for anyone wanting to do something like this.

If more people are interested, maybe we could start a bounty?

An App might be better suited?
Would be nice to have on desktop though.

304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / r/Bitcoin was much better with Atlas on: July 22, 2011, 02:47:17 AM
Even though everyone was getting downvoted the entire time, it was very lively.

Also for the record as I know this will be brought up, if anyone had even the slightest ankling he would have been able to sell r/Bitcoin or would have indeed sold r/Bitcoin  at all you were indeed duped.
Go through the other thread and count how many people were duped screaming for the authoritarian bullshit called justice.

What Atlas was able to do was show a complete phallacy of reddit, and while I like or do read Wired magazine sometimes, herd mentality or better spoken Lemming mentality isn't a way to live.

I'm not saying I don't like reddit, I got unemployed after becoming a redditor but it's not life or the center of the universe.

r/Bitcoin was much better with Atlas.

307  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Official CGMINER thread - CPU/GPU miner in C for linux/windows/osx on: July 21, 2011, 07:56:16 AM
what gpus are you using ?

these are mine:

SLI Nvidia 9800gtx+ / SLI GTS250
Code:
del /F /Q *.bin
cgminer.exe -o http://server:port -u username -p pass -w 64 -t 0 -I 4

XFire 6970 / XFIRE 6950
Code:
del /F /Q *.bin
cgminer.exe -o http://server:port -u username -p pass -I 9 -t 0

My curiosity urges me to ask why you are removing the previous bin files?
I'm using just one 5770, but I removed the 256 worksize as it made my system not as responsive.
I think I am also going to remove the -g 10 as per ckolivas's advice, thanks ckolivas!
308  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Official CGMINER thread - CPU/GPU miner in C for linux/windows/osx on: July 20, 2011, 06:12:29 PM
I use a windows batch file to run it.

anyone windows can use it too.
pastes this into bat file you make inside the cgminer directory

Code:
@echo off
:A
Cls
cgminer -o http://pit.deepbit.net:8332 -u tasty@wtfiswrongwu.com -p passwurd -g 10 -w 256 -d 0

I haven't been able to figure out kernel, work size GPU and CPU threads yet though.
I need to figure out how many threads my GPU has first though.

oh just figured out GPU threads and worksize. -g 10 -w 256

MAN, that works good!
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who the FUCK is making bitcoin viruses? on: July 19, 2011, 02:44:33 PM
go and look at all of the OP's personal posts.  he's a troll.

You gonna substantiate that or is this forum literally going to be a witchhunt of "WELL THIS GUY DOESN'T AGREE WITH ME I GUESS HE MUST BE A TROLL" while everyone else stands around the pyre with pitchforks and torches screaming "TROLL TROLL TROLL".

Becuase its this kinda shit that got these very forums taken off the bitcoin website, but whatever.

you know the BTC is starting to go back up?  you might get fired.

it would be cheaper to just buy all the coins. xD

312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Creator vs. Evolutionary Innovation on: July 18, 2011, 07:57:27 AM
Who is this "entity" that refuses to change and worships "the creator"? A few crackpot forum members? Bitcoin is an active project with an active dev team, and if you have good ideas for improvements you're welcome on the mailing list.

Apart from the basic assumptions (coin generation rate, max number of coins) everything is open to discussion, including protocol improvements (if backwards/forwards compatible). Big changes have been made before. It's not like it's set in stone and the only thing that happens there is worshipping Satoshi's code...

I don't know the Dev team personally. As a poster and reader of the forum, it often seems like "the few crackpot forum members" are actually the majority.

don't pay attention to the ones who sit on the forums all day night long, they are doing nothing.

I'm compiling code and running tests. That involves lots of waiting on the computer. I may as well read the forum while doing so. Tongue

Since you are a moderator, I think you get the exception. Smiley
It was more or a rule of thumb I guess.
Tasty /made asinine general statement.

315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are some rumors going around that I am "slimy" and possibly a "scammer"... on: July 17, 2011, 12:55:50 AM
This thread went from Atlas giving people who feel wronged by him the opportunity to step forth so he could remedy their situation to a flame thread.  Why hasn't a moderator shut this down yet?

My post wasn't a flame against him.
I don't have any problem with him,
I find him interesting.

Just remember, fuck the noise. Smiley
Everything can be enjoyed while remembering that.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are some rumors going around that I am "slimy" and possibly a "scammer"... on: July 17, 2011, 12:48:10 AM
Opinions fuck up motivation, inspiration needs motivation.

Outside opinions are by large completely useless.

Right now, in this forum, we are outside.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin Use #1105: Ridding the Community of Unwanted Members on: July 16, 2011, 04:04:20 PM
I would pay one bitcoin or two to get rid of atlas.

I read an interesting post on reddit the other day, it contained a bit of insight & probably some character assassination.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/inr6n/anybody_know_what_happened_to_the_mods_blitzboom/

However, it has not been deleted, and whether or not he saw it, which I'm sure he did.
Does tell us something about his person, constitution and intellect.
I would only expect from him his trust is relative to his price, like many of us.

I also thought it was interesting to see that he had started this thread.
The weird one was the weapons thread, I expected something completely different from it.
I would have posted in it, had I remembered my login details.

Yea to a new account. We have no block chain to prove your ass will stay MIA. I'm sure we would see and increase of post in the newbie section should this take off.

This is Tasty, right now you have the chance to learn something that will completely negate any question as to whether or not any country's authoritarian nature could possibly do something to this degree.
-What you are about to read, may just blow your fraking mind. xD
-This information has monetary value. xD
-There is no spoiler tag here so the only choice you have is whether or not to read what comes next.

Moon Bounce. (EME)
Earth-Moon-Earth communications

This is the terminology for bouncing a radio signal off of, The MOON.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EME_(communications

Maybe, one could modify the ideas brought here http://fabfi.fabfolk.com/
with a ham radio.
Merge this with mesh networking to complete the circuit.

However if the country was very serious it could be a better strategy to bounce through a series of reflectables like planes, boats and whatever else hinted on earlier in the thread by BitVapes.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Linux noob trying to run bitcoin via SSH on: July 16, 2011, 10:10:01 AM
I don't completely understand why this isn't working for you, but look at this:
http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=29035.0
Later on today try updating and installing it.

here is how you do it.

copy/paste this:
Code:
add-apt-repository ppa:stretch/bitcoin

the output will look similar to this:
Code:
Executing: gpg --ignore-time-conflict --no-options --no-default-keyring --secret-keyring /etc/apt/secring.gpg --trustdb-name /etc/apt/trustdb.gpg --keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg --primary-keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv CD1034FCBFA4E05DCFAD0C2A8741DDC3A4FF3776
gpg: requesting key A4FF3776 from hkp server keyserver.ubuntu.com
gpg: key A4FF3776: "Launchpad PPA for David Armstrong" not changed
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg:              unchanged: 1
then
Code:

sudo apt-get update
then
Code:

sudo apt-get install bitcoin
