Manchester City without Kelvin De Bruyne and Rodri is an overhyped team. The absence of both players have had a negative impact on the team’s performance in the last three games including defeat to Arsenal this weekend which is the most recent lose they have conceded. Gabriel Martinelli’s goal was enough to give Arsenal a win. Arsenal will treasure this win, the team have worked hard to come this far, good work to Mikel Arteta, trusting the process is finally paying off.

Liverpool drew away to Brighton and left 2 points on the table. Despite leading at half time they couldn't hold on to their lead and drew. I wouldn't have expected Brighton, who conceded 6 goals against Aston Villa, to be too focused in the Liverpool game but it looks like they recovered from that heavy defeat with ease. Both teams had European commitments during the week and were visibly tired.
In another game with the same scoreline Newcastle drew 2-2 away to West Ham. Newcastle, who managed to beat PSG with an excellent game during the week, failed to win this away game despite taking the lead. Despite losing the first half, Newcastle started the second half fast and scored 2 goals in 5 minutes with Isak, but they couldn't prevent the goal in the last minutes and drew.
This result was expected, we know how dangerous Brighton are from last season and they are replicating the same attitude of toughness this season making it very difficult for top teams to get a win against them. Playing away for Liverpool it was likely that the game will finish in a draw and so it was. The same as Newcastle United and westham, an expectated draw match which I don’t consider a bad result at all for all four clubs.

Manchester City are really feeling the effect of not having KDB on pitch, there is no one to get the ball to Haaland and that’s why the team is losing games. It’s unfortunate that Manchester City’s new signings were not able to make good impact in the game against Arsenal in the weekend and recored a loss while Arsenal’s new signings were impressive and their effort was enough to win the match for the Gunners. A few more additions in January will strengthen the team even more.

Erling Haaland’s €200million release clause makes it possible for clubs to try to sign him even before he sees out his contract with Manchester City. I also think it is a reasonable price for a player of Erling Haaland’s quality but I doubt Manchester City will want to loose Haaland for any reason and will try to improve his contract terms in other to prevent him from leaving.
305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another post cautioning you of influencers on: September 27, 2023, 04:47:20 PM
So there is travel youtuber called Passenger Paramvir, he appears honest and genuine guy and I love his videos.

However, in one of videos that I watched recently he promoted the 1xbet which is obvious scam gambling site.

Now, I don't have anything on these guys, I'd do same in my signature, I wouldn't bother to research much about what I'm promoting as long as I'm having my payment.

Point being, do your own research before you do anything, don't heed anyone blindly, no matter how popular they may be. Here in India, popular actors promote tobacco without thinking what such adverts could do to their followers, and mind you people here are blind after Bollywood stars.

I just wanted to post, I'm aware there are countless such topics already.
Was it 1xbet or 1xbit casino? I’d have to go back to the accusation thread on 1xbit casino, I remember someone linked 1xbet as the parent company of 1xbit. I’m not so sure right now, one thing I do know is that most influencers do not do their research before taking promotion gigs. Their aim of posting content and doing whatever they do online is to attract such business. It’s no surprise that they do not think twice before signing promo deals.

There is always some degree of humor in your posts, I hope your comment regarding signature campaigns doesn’t get dragged to reputation board.

I have been part of this campaign since week 1 and it is sad to see this campaign pause. I hope the platform will come back stronger and better. Thank you Hhampuz and vbetFTN team for an amazing 19 weeks. There was never a delay in payment or any controversy. Working with Hhampuz is always a pleasure,  I look forward to working with you again.

I think the reason why most newbies give up their account easily is that they expect every post they make to get merits, and when that doesn’t happen, they feel unappreciated and develop the mindset that high rank members only give merits to themselves. I remember when you were a newbie, today you on your way to hero member. This is enough motivation for newbies to take themselves seriously and build their account. Bitcointalk isn’t as hard as you let yourself believe.
308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seniors apply patience and kindness to newcomers on: September 21, 2023, 08:07:55 PM
I have concerns about the interactions between experienced members and newcomers in this forum. Occasionally, some experienced members can be quite harsh and may forget that newcomers are here to learn. While constructive corrections are beneficial, it's crucial to avoid using harsh or abusive language.

It's true that some posts from newcomers may be of low quality or show a lack of willingness to learn initially. However, I believe that giving them a chance and treating them with kindness is a reasonable approach.

Everyone is given a fair chance to grow on bitcointalk, we all have one thing in common that binds us here and that is bitcoin. Newbies have a limited understanding of the forum and as much interpret criticism as abuse and believe they are being bullied because of their rank. But truth be told, if high rank members made the same posts as these newbies, they would get the same reaction from the community. So let’s stop the pity party and focus on improving ourselves.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: George Residence becomes first hotel to accept Bitcoin in Nigeria on: September 21, 2023, 07:30:06 PM
Snipped

It’s a great move that could further strengthen the slow but steady adoption of bitcoin all over but I don’t know about bitcoin being legal in Nigeria just yet. Saw this memo that was posted in another thread stating how bitcoin is still very much prohibited by the government. Unless there’s a recent memo that contradicts this, bitcoin usage doesn’t seem to be totally legal.
The government is clearly not ready to allow and actively discourages financial institutions from facilitating the use of bitcoin and like you noted, are likely aware of loads of people who still use bitcoin.

This image you provided was from two years ago, you have to understand the dynamics surrounding their decision at the time. It was an after effect of the EndSars protest, which was a nation wide movement to stop police brutality and other societal ills, bitcoin was used as a means of funding when other traditional channels were blocked. I believe this made the government weary of bitcoin back then. Now, the attitude of the Nigerian government towards bitcoin has since changed, the laws regarding bitcoin transactions here are flexible and since the government has not found a way to regulate bitcoin transactions, they just choose to ignore it.

310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Secure Your Legacy, Educate Your Loved Ones on: September 21, 2023, 07:22:13 PM
This is one of the biggest concern of bitcoiners - how to transfer ownership of their coins to their next of kin in event of death. I have read so many threads about the issue and what I have come to understand is that using a timelock system is the best option. Of course this is useless if your beneficiary knows nothing about how bitcoin works. This is why it is important to involve your partner or children in your bitcoin activity, I understand this is kind of difficult to do since bitcoiners have a need to protect their privacy. But at some point, you will need to relinquish control to someone else.

I have always been confused about crypto currencies and how they work... how they are stabilised and regulated but with the present plight and constant devaluation of my country's currency, it's safe to say I need to learn, practice and own a safer landing, the banking systems are not helping with constant maintenance levies and network issues. I'm aware that there is no perfect place but anywhere with a more better solution is more preferable. Cheers to the beginning of a new journey.
Welcome to the forum. As you already know, adding bitcoin to your portfolio can be a good way to hedge against inflation. My country also suffer from the same problems you speak of, the value of our currency keeps falling down against the US dollar, and this makes the cost of living to go high because we import most of what we consume. Bitcoin is the cheapest way to beat the current system, people living in poor countries understand this the most, that is why Bitcoin is more popular in developing countries than developed nations.

I've said before that changing coaches too soon won't help them improve their performance and that's still true now.
Todd should be aware that the number of times he changed coaches during his tenure at Chelsea but the results remained the same and nothing has changed in this regard so removing Pochettino at this time is also not the right answer to improve the club.

Charging coach isn't good but that's the strategy Chelsea has been using for the past 20 years and  it has been working for them. In the tenure of the past owner, we changed manager whenever things weren't working for us and the new manager always delivered so probably that's what Todd Boehly is going with changing managers. He really need to rethink because probably changing managers isn't going to be what will work for him, he should try giving one manager enough time to try to fix things. The previous managers before Pochettino weren't qualified managers therefore sacking them was understandable but he shouldn't do the same to Pochettino but give him time to prove his worth.

That strategy may have worked when Roman Abramovich owned Chelsea but not anymore. Since Tuchel’s departure the club has faced huge down fall in performance even more than what seemed to be the main problem. Chelsea made a huge mistake letting almost all the experienced players leave the club in one transfer window leaving just the new incomings who are yet to understand the league and the tensity to play every premier league game. What did they expect would happen?

Brighton must be thankful to the chelsea caused by the departure of graham potter to the blues has been making brighton recruited de zerbi as a new appointment which was able helping the club perform better.
Chelsea was getting the opposite result as potter has become a flop once he was coaching the blues. I don't even know what would happen to the brighton if the team was not recruiting de zerbi as a new coach once potter joined in chelsea.
Chelsea was a savior for brighton even though potter's performance in brighton was not so bad.

In my opinion, Brighton currently has the best scouting team in the premier league. How they sell their top performing players and recruit players that come in and make impact immediately is so impressive. I am talking about player recruiting but they also got a good manager after Potter’s departure. This is just an example of good the proficiency of management structure, it just makes things move smoothly and better.

Brighton have been playing very impressive football from last season. Even before the game against Manchester United they were predicted as favorites to win. Let’s not forget that they made European competition qualification last season. This team is good, they have a unique style of play that gives even top teams in the league had a hard time defeating them, they are not a team to be underestimated.

I understand that a lot of Arsenal fans are worried about Aaron Ramsdale position at the club after David Raya replaced him in Goal against Everton on Sunday. To be honest, I knew Arteta liked Raya from way back and he was going to give him a chance to challenge for the shirt. What surprised me was that Ramsdale has not commited any "blunder" so far this season but he has been dropped. That says a lot about the standards Arteta is setting. It goes beyond obvious blunders.
Raya's calmness and distribution alone already give him an edge. I saw the stats about crosses claimed since last season. Raya beats Ramsdale hands down. I’m sure he considered all these things before he made the decision.
I don’t know why the fans should be worried because it is clear that Mikel Arteta is rotating the squad to contain the many games and fixtures the team have to play in this season. Arsenal have champions league game coming up this week, I think it was wise to start Raya against Everton and Ramsdale to start in the champions league match, that way both players get to play.

Manchester City's not being too active is totally normal. Because they don't need it. They already have a wonderful squad. They are just focusing on increasing the number of alternative players for some specific positions that's all. Gvardiol transfer was for adding him to the starting eleven though but generally their transfer policy is like this these days.
Manchester city has everything needed for back to back champion of english premier league. It has a good starting line up, It has good secondary squads as well, It has chemistry, it has attractive and creative game play. There's no need to buy someone else who would disrupt the situation in the dressing room. Manchester city must also try to avoid sanction from violating the FFP regulation in EPL. The club doesn't need to make a lot of movement.
That's why manchester city was only focusing to fill the vacant spots by buying some great players like dokie which is undervaled and underrated. Manchester city has the best gameplay in EPL.

Certainly, this Manchester City squad are so organized and have the capability to dominate any league competition they find themselves this season. At this level of Manchester City’s squad, they only need to sign two or three players to solidify weak positions or replace outgoing players. Apart from this situations, I think they are an organized and compatible team and favourites to win the league trophy this season also.

Tough game this weekend in the North London Derby. Both teams are in good form and hold the same points in the league. I am anticipating this game because it will be an interesting encounter and I hope for much drama and entertainment in this game. The last encounter Arsenal defeated Tottenham by two goals to nil. This time, Spurs are in a much better form and won’t back down easily but I think Arsenal will prevail in the end.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 19, 2023, 10:51:18 PM
Early missteps have left everything in disarray until now and it is difficult to anticipate when their problems are too widespread, especially when the steps taken to minimise the destruction have made the club's condition even worse.
The conditions of Chelsea and Manchester United are quite similar in this regard but the difference is when Manchester United with Ten Hag's considerable ego and Chelsea with problems from the owner who was too eager at the beginning when he got Chelsea.
Currently every step taken will definitely reap the spotlight and indeed when there is even the slightest mistake especially with the destruction of performance then criticism will definitely occur.

I don’t even rate the players at Chelsea so much, they are young and they still lack experience amongst them. Most of the players in the club currently are new to the league and still battling to settle in with the league’s intensity and high competitive playing style.

Chelsea made a huge mistake letting all the experienced players in the team leave in one transfer window.
