I think we'll be testing 450's again. This is pretty much where it should end.

These dates makes me laugh... a few days after 31st January price went down sharply. I sense a lot of blood and bear rally Charts might agree with your sixth sense.

To get cheap Bitcoins? I thought that was obvious.

Just come back in 2 months and you'll see a change. People need more PATIENCE. Just checking once a day is more than enough.
This. Also we went from 340 (bearish: BTC is finished) to 545 (very safe area) in 2 weeks. That's 60% we're talking about. What else do you need? 5 days is how long it took for Bitcoin to get from $340 to $548. Things with Bitcoin of late is that it tends not to move for days/weeks, and then suddenly move very rapidly. A sure sign of relative few hands being responsible for moving market. I think it will remain that way for a very long time. I bet there's a certain price if you wanna be one of the few hands moving the market.

Did you see the price rise from $515 to $530 in the span of a couple of minutes just now? Seriously. Someone's trying to pump up the price before the Chinese wakes up and sees the price.
Massive buying going on in all the markets. Don't think it should last long.

If Bitcoin becomes 10K then you probably won't need to "cash out", you could just purchase what you want online with Bitcoin unless you want funds for a start up or something...
Another good point. If bitcoin is that high compared to USD, then you won't need to 'cash out' It will also indicate that there's something wrong with the USD.

As long as countries exist they'll be paying their workers in their local currencies and demanding taxes in their local currencies. Those are customarily quite large markets with motivated users.
Countries dont pay workers, employers do. And employers and workers can choose how they want to be payed. Some people are payed in btc for some time now. In which countries exactly?

So, friend and I were discussing and more like obsessing over the fact that our little minds can predict what Bitcoin would be like in the future. You go to these Bitcoin conferences and you meet people who are strong advocates of Bitcoin (myself) and how we spread a little seed in future prospective Bitcoiners that it could be or at least trying to be the currency of the future. You see comparing it to payment systems like PayPal or Western Union or bank transfers doesn't make entirely cause the true motive of Bitcoin is to be the $!
Now that we have $ in our minds, please just take a minute to think how important really the $ is! Our concern was and we thought it should be a good discussion is that, how far do you think the governments of the world will be willing to go to save the integrity of the $ or fiat? I'm talkin long term here. 20-30 years and assuming the movement is still alive then.

What's up with April 15? A lot of things happening on that day. Does it have any astrological importance?

I tend to hang out in the Counterparty, Kittehcoin and PMC threads a lot and I have to say, the latter two threads are slightly depressing these days.
I guess we need better times with BTC to even remain slightly positive.

That's really disgusting. Remove it please.

Fact #1a: Long-term most traders/speculators lose money (~80 to 90% lose) ~source = Reality/Common Knowledge/Google it Fact #1b: These are bad odds, but it leaves HUGE piles of cash for the Winners. Fact #2: When BTC was near/over $1,000 each, most "Speculation" threads were (short/medium-term) Bullish and all of those were wrong. Fact #3: BTC is down over 60%, most of the "Speculation" threads are currently Bearish. Fact #4: The 10 to 20% of traders who win long-term don't get there by always following the crowd; You need to think for yourself. Your pain and fear can end now: Think for yourself/Take a long walk/Get some exercise - Enjoy today before it turns into tomorrow.
FYI: Why are you reading this? Didn't I mention these are notes to myself? For once I have a lot of $$ sitting ready to strike instead of watching the bubble crash & bubble crash for the previous 2 cycles Even if we hit 300 ( i honestly believe that 405 is a support that cant be broke ) taking a position at 420 is still a an awesome deal for a mid-long term (bitcoin mid to long term is still only 2-3 months lolz normal equities you are looking at 2-5 years ..yawn) So i sit and wait with a pile of $$ waiting for the bottom ... it was so much simplier previously (in the old days ) .. we would crash like a meth head on a 6 day binge after taking 2 valium (i.e in about 20-30 mins ) and buy in was good ...$60 buy in from a $266 high its a no brainer Here the chinese are fucking with us ...china ban..no china ban ... fuck the chinese and the horse the rode in on IRS taxation is the first step to an AMERICA ADOPTING an american invention why are we even relying on the fucking chinese for gods sake BITCOIN is the definition of capitalist market forces ... and why has the mother of capitalism spewed forth so much hate for its PURE bread born child Chinese gone ...good .. take your dim sims and special fried chicken and go fuck yourselfs with your totalitarian regimens ... One thing i do know is that where ever the chinese are is where teh smart money is so ...BTC please send me a sign that you are done with the chinese experiment and lets get this party started I found this funny. Tell us more about your nostalgia and drug addicts, lol.

ROFL desperate bagholders 'dollar cost averaging' now.
Reminds me exactly of the Silver Stacking cult who couldnt spot the bubble.
LOL yes I am a bagholder since $4 BTC and LTC at $0.005. This ain't the first time we're hearing this, are we? References to the bubble being popped. Remember when LTC crossed the $1 mark? It was like the world had change.

So this is it. China gone, Mt Gox gone, general public trust gone. We're going to see 100's again. I hope so! But in reality... dream on Indeed. Even me, with my extremely limited knowledge about the markets, do not find this a logical outcome. Maybe we'll see the low 300's, but that's really it. There seems to be a lot of resistance around 350. Also: I believe that most of the panic sellers have left already, but the coming days will have to prove that. $5 Million between $400 - $200 , why won't they pull out. You must be kidding me with these calculations.

As this has been discussed earlier, so far the alternate coins have helped BTC to gain more momentum and allowed more and more people to get into the crypto world. I know this has been denied back and forth but I can't refuse how people I knew went apeshit crazy about Dogecoin and how it's such a great thing to buy it when it's so cheap. Of course, you can't buy them with usd yet and you have to enter you fiat into Bitcoin ecosystem in order to get any alt coin. Now, what my point is that given the recent influx of smart minds entering in this field, I think by the Q4 of this year, we'll see a wide range of payment options even for the major alt-coins. Does this mean we'll see a market capitalization of these coins apart from the value in BTC? We also witnessed an average of 2000% increase in the price of several alt-coins. Do you think big investors would be buying them cheap right now just to have a larger position in the future in case one of these alts goes completely viral?
Feel free to pump/boost about your favorite alt-coin.. I'm trying to assess different sentiments in these bearish times.

Funny how the whole Mt Gox fiasco couldn't make BTC cheaper than $400 and now the China ban drama isn't working for the bears either. I mean, I want the cheap coins too but it's just not working. You need to spread some legit FUD from now on.

They picked a great time to buy! You were wise to sell some in December too. Are you replenishing some of the coins you sold right now? It is cool to hear stories like this! They had my help and I hope my hunch doesn't disappoint me. Yes. Made small losses here and there but I'm overall loaded for the next rally.
