301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If There Is A Ban on: February 25, 2023, 02:33:37 AM

This is an old meme. But, Whenever I see this one. I laugh at crypto bans. Surely there will be some panic in the market, which will also affect the market. But Hey, You are in 2023. The government is nothing without you. Bitcoin is spreading day by day, and people understand its benefits. If big countries ban Bitcoin, I don't think every country will follow them. Others will try to get benefit from it. China banned Bitcoin and mining plenty of times. Still, we saw a massive ATH in 2021. Such things will happen. But, Remember, Bitcoin has a limited supply. There will be scarcity, and everyone won't own Bitcoin at some point.

Do not believe what they say, the Chinese government has banned people from using Bitcoin but I believe the Chinese government is also silently investing in Bitcoin. In the end, what the government wanted to be money and power, they prevent people from investing in Bitcoin so they can easily manage their people, on the one hand they silently invest to make profits. The government is like we are all greedy, and selfish.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help Bitcoin help Ukraine! on: February 25, 2023, 02:18:06 AM
Indeed a true tragedy developing in Ukraine, but wouldn't be more productive if we'd started to question the intentions of US government as to why they are using Ukraine to go to war with Russians?
Or you didn't know that US is actually fighting with Russia using Ukraine as a proxy?

That is exactly what is happening, it is a war of the United States and allies with Russia. Ukraine is just a stele, a pawn on the political chessboard between the world's 2 No. 1 nuclear powers. I know what is happening in Ukraine is cruel, but don't just blame Putin, but remember that the United States is still the most beneficial person in this war.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to accept crypto as a payment? on: February 25, 2023, 02:07:45 AM
I have seen a report today that in 2022 crypto payments showed an amazing rise. People are really accepting it and giving the value as they are giving to fiat payments.

Are you guys accepting crypto payments for your business?

I've seen many threads on this forum about accepting bitcoin for their business, it's a very encouraging move, but I'm not sure many people will use bitcoin or crypto assets for their payments. Accepting cryptocurrency will not affect your business but is it actually used, or do people still prefer to use fiat money? I find fiat or bank transfer to work better than crypto in this case.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching teenagers about bitcoin. on: February 25, 2023, 01:54:08 AM
I think my life would changed a lot if crypto was introduced to me back when I was a student.
I could have spend my time on crypto and earn instead of just playing around in computer on my free time and spending my money on games.
I know some students who earn a lot and changed their life through the help of crypto.

Even if you are no longer a student, you are a married person who is never too late to invest and earn profits from Bitcoin. We are still in the early stages of the Bitcoin revolution, still very early and have many opportunities to make profits. If you don't earn money now, it's your fault, I believe even if you know bitcoin earlier you can't have a better life.
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I gave investment advice to my grandfather. on: February 25, 2023, 01:43:02 AM
My grandfather has some wealth. Now my grandfather will invest all his wealth in Bitcoin. I told my grandfather not to invest all your wealth in Bitcoin. I suggested to my grandfather that Bitcoin not only has the potential for profit, but also the potential for loss. So you invest some wealth in Bitcoin. You don't have to sit on the street if your investment suffers.

My only question to all, was I able to give my grandfather the right advice??

My question is, how old is your grandfather? Why don't you let your grandfather enjoy his last days? Why invest in old age? Instead of advising my grandfather to invest, I will try to give him a fulfilling life at the end of his life. We invest also to find a comfortable life in old age, so treat your grandfather well. Because when you have a lot of money, you can't take it with you when you die.

Talking of helping the club I'm overall, is the club helping him at all? Currently, I will say it's Joao Felix if any one asks me who is doing undoubtedly well for chelsea. Joao Felix will offer more than he shows if t all other players best is as good as joao's. If u doubt it, count his contribution per match and compare it to every other attacker.
Some people have suggested that Joao Felix will play better as the top striker for Chelsea, but I do not agree with them because watching Felix play, he does better running from the midfield towards goal than being placed at the center as the main striker. Havertz has not been impressive, but there is something about him that offers hope, but still I think Chelsea another pure striker since they are into the buying business, they need a new coach as well, that is very obvious by now.

I do not know for how long the Chelsea owner is going to continue with this coach. This is certainly getting a little out of hand. The performance of Chelsea is not good. And you don't have to be an expert to understand that. Every football fan, actually, even if you are not a fan, will understand that Chelsea is not performing well and the main reason behind that is the coach. And as long as that is not getting fixed, Chelsea will not be able to perform better. Doesn't matter how much money they spend. Probably the owner does not even know what ROI is. And probably he's also prepared to lose everything to keep this coach.

Anyone who invested with all his savings is just like playing a game of probability, is either you gain or you lose. And family pressure may not give you that opportunity to freely invest all your live savings or indulging scheme where you would want to borrow money for investment.

I would say it's a kind of gambling. You really don't have to invest all your savings on something. No matter how strong the project is or how confident you are. Invest on internet if you can afford to lose. Bitcoin will give you a good return in a long time period. I really believe that. But, you have to wait for a good time. I won't suggest anyone to invest somewhere by taking loan.

Exactly, people fails to understand this aspect of the principle, coupled with investing on altcoin thinking they are expanding their portfolio. Although it's good not to put all eggs in one basket because you never can tell what would happen next after investment. Apart from bitcoin, I would rather borrowed money to invest in real life properties such as; Land, Housing and partnering with some famous company ect.

Before the economic crisis of 2007-2008, real estate was a profitable investment, a 100% success option. Now, if we consider portfolio diversification, then I would think well, consider it as one of the points of deposit distribution. Altcoins are a good solution for diversification. The fact is that altcoins are a great variety, and you should invest only in proven ones. Since new altcoins in the majority are a huge risk of stumbling upon deception. In addition to diversification through a variety of coins, I would consider diversification through earning methods - PoS, DeFi, etc.

Who told you that investing in altcoins is diversification? Diversification means investing in assets other than cryptocurrencies because the entire crypto market depends only on bitcoin, assuming bitcoin disappears, no altcoins can exist. So investing in altcoins is not called diversification. Invest in gold, real estate...

The concept of portfolio diversification through altcoins is constantly encountered - ask Google.
You understood everything correctly, but at the moment all the alcoins depend on bitcoin, but this is only because everyone believes in the classics, Bitcoin. How many times have there been articles about new altcoins that called these new concepts the Death of Bitcoin? And for good reason. No one could and cannot say - will there be a blockchain so perfect tomorrow that bitcoin will become just a classic, the first coin having an unnecessary slow blockchain?
Why do you invest with your money and you go ask google? You don't trust your knowledge? When the crypto market works like the stock market, i.e. the tokens work independently without being too dependent on a certain coin, then I think investing in altcoins is called diversified. But nowadays, altcoins' life and death completely depend on bitcoin, so it is wrong to say that investing in altcoins is diversification.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 19, 2023, 06:07:32 PM
If Barcelona manages to win its game against Cadiz tonight, the lead over Real Madrid is 8 points. Really a lot if you compare it to what happened in the last seasons. Barcelona is actually having a wonderful season at the moment if you look at how everything has developed. It seems like all players now know much better what their role in the team is, something that was often lacking in the past. Since the arrival of Xavi, everything has gone very fast. The EL will still be quite a challenge to win at United, but they have built in a lot of margin in the competition by now.

Barcelona will need full points at any cost against Cadiz today if they are to win the La Liga title. Because Madrid won their last match and are now only 5 points behind Barcelona. Barcelona must try to increase the points gap with Madrid. Otherwise, their title win will be uncertain. Cádiz is a weak opponent this season but the team is capable of picking up points against Barcelona. So Barcelona's defenders have to be very aware in this match.

Tottenham is having there go with West Ham United and Spurs are already leading by a goal in the second half.

In the last two matches, we have not seen a better performance than Tottenham. They conceded 4 goals against Leicester. and lost 1-0 against AC Milan. But if they want to stay in the top 4 of the points table, it was necessary for them to get full points in today's match by any means. Despite failing to score in the first half, Tottenham took the lead early in the second half with Emerson Royal's goal. Perhaps this match Tottenham is interested in winning 1-0. Because Tottenham is playing a bit defensive today.

Ajax has again booked a big victory, but 4-0 is a blow that you might also expect from a team that plays at home with the name Ajax. In the EL it was bad this week, you can write what you want, but in the end you as a team and trainer are judged on the statistics and results and in that respect Heitinga has really done well with Ajax now. They are participating again. Twente's defeat against Go Ahead eagles seems to be a defeat that indicates that this Twente team is just not good enough to become champion. The big winner remains Feyenoord, of course, which recorded a 2-1 victory over direct competitor AZ. PSV again achieved a disappointing result and the championship can be a big draw for PSV.

Ajax's performance is getting stable day by day. And they are getting stronger. Ajax players played great against Spartak today. They managed to score four goals today. And this win was much needed. Ajax is now the second team in the points table after getting full points in this match. And just 3 points behind Feyenoord. So if Feyenoord loses in any of the upcoming matches, Ajax will be able to top the table.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reasons for holding bitcoins? on: February 19, 2023, 10:29:09 AM
I heard people keep saying don't sell when the price rise a little, or when it starts dropping!
You should never sell bitcoin just because price went up or down, a little or a lot.
Bitcoin is not an investment to begin with, it is a currency and you shouldn't buy it only to make profit. It is a currency that is designed to give you financial sovereignty.

Quote
I don't get, why are you holding it for long?
I don't hold bitcoin, I use it as a currency meaning as it was meant to be used. To receive payments and make payments.

Quote
Is that long term bitcoin don't experience losses?
Not so far and possibly not in the foreseeable future until mass adoption.

But unfortunately, 99% of people in this market are looking at bitcoin as an investment rather than a currency, only 1%, like you see bitcoin as a currency. I believe that whether bitcoin becomes popular or not, it will be called a commodity rather than a currency. No government accepts it as currency even el-salvador call bitcoin a legal tender, but their government is investing in bitcoin and hopes it will rise again.

313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have life span? on: February 19, 2023, 10:19:46 AM
The earth we live on has a lifespan, so bitcoin has a lifespan too. But the point is it will live long enough for us to use it, so we don't have to worry about those useless things. The life of bitcoin is the future of bitcoin, the more popular bitcoin is, the longer the lifespan of bitcoin. As well as some of the comments here, I also believe that the lifespan of bitcoin depends on our needs.
Rightly said. Everything that has a beginning has an end and this applies to Bitcoin too but when that is, is what nobody at the moment cannot really tell. There has been this question of if the whole 21 million Bitcoins where to be mined, what happens next and there have been different opinions to that too even though mining the remaining  about 10% could still be years away, however, whether Bitcoin last forever or will reach its life span is a question of when.
In the year 2140, we will have mined the last bitcoin, and until then we will all be dead. But I believe that as long as the demand for it exists, it will not die, and if it still does not die, its value to that point is truly unimaginable. I think it will be worth 10 million dollars per bitcoin. Let's accumulate bitcoins for our future and our descendants until then.

315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Bitcoin? on: February 18, 2023, 01:48:42 PM
If we want crypto currency to be a currency we have to keep spending right? But at the same time it's something worth keeping too since I do the same with my fiat in bank for more than 2years without touching it. Is it possible to say that Bitcoin in every wallets for the past 2years without moving are considered lost due to death or lost recovery keys? It's pretty hard to believe that anyone won't come back for their Bitcoin after 2years with no activities on the wallet.
Two years is too short a time, and there is no exact answer to this type of question. Since long-term bitcoin holdings have become commonplace these days, it's not uncommon for a wallet to go dormant for years. Very few people want to spend their bitcoin because everyone knows that the value of bitcoin will be very high in the future.
By the way, I don't like bitcoin being a currency because when it's a currency, it's stable and not volatile, I like bitcoin's volatility.
316  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin as gift on: February 18, 2023, 01:43:03 PM
Is it cool to give a friend bitcoin as a gift on his birthday?
I have a friend who I have been telling about bitcoin for the past 2 weeks now and he's paying more attention to it, on the 1st of March is his birthday party I want to surprise him with $200 BTC because I can't attend his birthday party.
So is it apprised to gift a friend bitcoin at his birthday party?

There have been several people on the forum who have done this before. As long as your friend knows about bitcoin, it will definitely be the most unique and meaningful gift he gets on his birthday. But if he doesn't know about it, then you need to spend more time teaching him about bitcoin, and he will be glad a little late to understand it.

In another match New Zealand have almost lost its match as the score have reached 63/5.

New Zealand's defeat is certain. At the end of the third day, New Zealand scored 63 runs and lost 5 wickets. England still needs 331 runs to win. And it is totally impossible for them now. However, the performance of England's bowlers has been outstanding. Robison and Anderson's bowling in the first innings was outstanding. But Stuart Board is bowling brilliantly in the second innings. And took 4 wickets.

Really good news was coming from pedri. Pedri already confirmed won't play in the second leg against manchester united. Roberto sergio seems to be a potential player to replace him and im so happy with it. Another good news since pedrid was adding the numbers of barcelona's players who got injured.

List of players in the main squads of barcelona who won't able to play against MU in the second leg.

- Gavi (second yellow card)
- Pedri (injured)
- Dembele (injured)
- Busquets (injured)

I can hope that if more main squads of barcelona will get injured and so manchester united can win easily.
That's true, of course, the absence of several of Barcelona's main teams will make Manchster United very profitable in the second leg later, as we can see together that the battle between the two top European teams was quite fierce in the first leg and a draw was quite fair for both but with the leg being played Second, at Old Trafford  home to Manchster United they will be highly favored to advance to the next round, especially with the incomplete strength of Barcelona in the second leg later.

Pedri, Gavi and Dembele are three very important players of Barcelona. Without them in the team, Barcelona's performance is likely to deteriorate somewhat. Also the match is Manchester United's home match. In such matches, it will be difficult to perform well if the important players of the team are not in the squad. However, if Raphinha and Lelandowski play well, Barcelona have a chance to win. I would say Barcelona's performance will depend on Lelandowski.

Chelsea must be able to create quick goals to make them equalize on aggregate first. Because if they can score a quick goal, it will increase their morale because they can make the game a draw again. Regardless of what the result is for them, I think they will be able to score goals in the second leg, but I can't say for sure whether they will make a comeback or not, it's hard to predict.
Chelsea is trying to buy many superstar players and soon they will have a stronger team but right now and regarding their match against Dortmund let's say they could win the last match against this team and the German star Karim Adeyemi scored an amazing goal for Dortmund while Chelsea couldn't do anything even Chelsea had more shots on target and more opportunities but still they lost the game and should try harder for next match in they play against Dortmund in Stamford Bridge later.
Actually, from the Chelsea vs Dortmund match, we can already see that there has been a good improvement in Chelsea's performance. But Dortmund, who are currently in their best performance, are certainly very difficult to beat. But in the second leg I think Chelsea can be even better. currently Graham potter is under pressure so he will definitely make a better strategy in the next match. to save himself and the club's reputation.

you are right Chelsea players played very well against Dortmund compared to the last matches. There has been a change in their match strategy. And the overall performance of the players was good. But they could not score any goals. Because the Dortmund team is very strong now. Dortmund's attack and defense are very strong. If Chelsea is to win the second leg and qualify for the quarter-finals, their forwards will need to perform well.

Gladbach vs Bayern Munich
Munich's last meeting with Gladbach ended in a 1-1 draw. and it happened in the Munich cage. now the situation may turn around when Gladbach plays at home. but Gladbach's last two matches have not been great. while facing Munich who is currently in his best game. if Gladbach manages to put pressure on Munich, maybe there will be another draw in the second meeting later. Munich is still the favorite, but Gladbach may have another strategy to hold off Munich.

Bayern Munich is the strongest team in the Bundesliga. But this team is always weak against Gladbach. Bayern Munich has not won any of their last 5 matches against Gladbach. Munich has lost three matches and drawn two matches. And so one should not think that Munich will win easily in today's match. Gladbach is a relatively weak team but this is their home match. And Gladbach won 5-0 in their last home match against Munich. Today's match will also be competitive.
