301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How will Coinmarketcap look in 2025? on: January 16, 2022, 08:44:11 PM
When I first read your post title I thought that you are talking about the service that coinmarketcap will provide in the year 2025. But I can see you are doing price prediction here like many others. You put AVAX in number one which surprise me a lot. Look at this historical data of the top 10 coins of coinmarketcap over the year. Did you see anything common between those years?

Let me help you with that.

1. In all those years BTC has always held the number one position in the crypto market and still it's holding it.
2. Other than BTC all those coins always changing their position in the market.

Avalanche will never be in the number one spot and if a smart contract project manages to get over BTC then it will be ETH or SOL which will unlikely ever going to happens. I think by the year 2025 people's interest will be shifted to something else and some new project will claim its spot in the top 10 positions. We should predict the future by facts not what we wish for. And the facts telling me that web3 is going to be huge and projects like bico, ocean could take their place in the top 10.
302  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. Contemplating Isolating Russia from SWIFT Banking System on: January 16, 2022, 06:21:47 PM
At minimum a country's population needs: food, water, shelter, education and human relationships - Russia should be able to provide all of these for itself and manage quite well at it.

I think that is the reason how large countries like Russia, the chain, and Iran still dominating even after the USA sanction. They can provide foods, water, and shelter even no foreign goods have been imported to these countries.

I think Russia, like China, went imperialist though recently which might be something that could cause issues for a lot of other countries - imperialism may be more efficient than capitalism and socialism under certain circumstances.

As Lenin said "imperialism is the highest stage of capitalism" and right now we are observing that in these two countries. So I think imperialism is the higher stage capitalism and they have a close relationship between them. In imperialism and capitalism, both way capitalist gets the most of the profit by capturing and market and the natural resource of a country. Even imperialism expand these areas for capitalists than capitalism and hurt the poor. Inequality in the working sector and too much power in the center create fear among the people of that area. Though in this way infrastructure of a country developed so much because capitalist wants more money so they expand and develop industries.

In my opinion, you are right. imperialism may be more efficient for a countries infrastructure and industries developments.

303  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID has driven Americans to bank $1.6 TRILLION in savings on: January 16, 2022, 05:02:31 PM
Wouldn't it be so much better if consumers bought up inflation protected assets, rather than placing their savings in low interest rate accounts for that period. Bitcoin's value grew dramatically in 2021. Could a portion of that growth be attributed to consumers and retail investors placing savings in bitcoin, gold or silver?

Most Americans especially old-aged people still trust valuable metals like gold and silver. Around 6% of Americans can use crypto. Though this has been increasing day by day I think many people still fear any new crypto regulation for the American people. It's a hard choice for them to choose between two category assets like one with high-risk high rewards and another with low-risk low rewards. Not every people like to take too much risk as long as they have an alternative to choose.

Curious to know if anyone feels the economy made a complete recovery in 2021. Are we back to normal?

The economy has recovered a little bit in 2021 but the high inflation rate, a new variant of COVID-19, and inequality in income threaten to recover emerging economy for many developing countries around the world. New variants of COVID-19 still disrupting the world economy and it indicates that this will damage our economy for the long term. An outbreak of Omicron variants created more financial instability for developing countries and many of those countries still lack any hard policy to control and recover from this pandemic.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin you hold for Next Bull Run on: January 14, 2022, 06:00:27 PM
There are many projects that can be hold for the long term and right now I am holding 3 projects. My top holding assets are FORM, SIS, and KILT. Formation FI is making something that will auto invest in projects buy sell them in a way that investors will have minimal risk. They are implementing a complex mathematical formula to create this protocol and it's ready to launch. They are just waiting for certik audit to be done. The project is in a dip and I am very much bullish on it.

SIS = simbiosis is a protocol that will help to transfer liquidity from one chain to another. KILT is a web3 project under KSM. All these projects are backed by top VC and crypto projects. I am expecting a big return from all of them in the long run.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it time to enter the market and buy altcoins? on: January 12, 2022, 01:21:31 PM
ftp://
The market situation is not the best and no one knows what to expect, there is a fear of investors in the market. Since the recent drop, bitcoin has lost 40% of its ATH, the fear index has reached 10, and even the altcoins that performed better in the correction, such as NEAR, ATOM, have also lost a little in value. We hit the baseline BTC support of $ 40,000, which we got off to a good start last time, and went to the new ATH. Bitcoin dominance at the bottom. And today we saw a rebound and a small rise in BTC and the market as a whole. Perhaps this is the beginning of a new rally? Is it time to enter the market? I think yes, since we are not that far from a possible second bottom, and even if the lease continues, in any case, we need an upward correction.

If I tell you yes it is the right time then what will you do? buy altcoin with all of your money? then stop right now and listen crypto market is evolving and we are still so early in the market. So the earlier is the better. But it doesn't mean you will put all of your money right now. The Crypto market moves in wave-like ups and downs. So you will get many chances to buy low. So buy some and wait for more dip.

Look what saylor does. He is accumulating BTC from 2020 and still doing that. That is how you invest in crypto. Slowly but on a regular basis before the whole world jumps into it.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba inu on: January 12, 2022, 01:16:55 PM
there are many rumors that are developing among crypto enthusiasts that the future of the shiba inu will be better, but if you look at it now it seems like the shiba inu has lost its owner. I think shiba inu are interesting memecoins because they have a large community and their goal is to try to compete with other memecoins like dogecoin.
Now let's see in the market and also in some sites that have token and coin rankings, whether Shiba Inu has beaten Dogecoin at this time other than he himself was defeated by Matic and Dogecoin is still above Matic for now, so what if Shiba Inu has a strong community while its trading volume keeps getting smaller.

Shiba Inu is not dogecoin still it beats doge with many aspects. If you read shiba inu whitepaper which was titled WOOF paper and published 29 April 2021 then you will see what they are trying to do. They have already launched their own dex called shibaswap, also developing their governance and own metaverse. Many online commerce platforms already accepting shiba inu as a payment. What doge coin accomplished by this time?

Trading volume decreasing not only in shiba inu but from the whole market. The total market cap of crypto has decreased which means there are more funds outflowing from crypto so it's normal that most of the projects have less volume at this bear market.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: meta is the future ???? on: January 11, 2022, 09:07:53 PM
Expansion of metaverse will expand the future of the global economy. It has endless possibilities and in the future people will interact with each other digitally. This will be immersive for humans and their personal life. But it will only be possible if humans could understand and adapt it easily. Many companies like Facebook have started building an ecosystem friendly for all players but it takes time and it is the future.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin - a joke or a way to make money? on: January 10, 2022, 03:18:40 PM
Everybody knows that Dogecoin was created as a joke, but now it is worth real money. Do you think it is real to earn on it or it's all a big bubble?

At first, it was a bubble but now it has a developer team and some names like vitalik and elon involved. So I think its development started again and more news and product will be released by the developer team. But do not be overconfident because anything can happen in crypto and another meme coin shiba inu is doing better than doge and they even announced their own metaverse. So watch the market carefully and then take entry.
309  Economy / Economics / Re: The crisis in Kazakhstan. Entering the occupation troops. Impact on the crypto on: January 09, 2022, 08:20:48 PM
It has a huge impact on the world economy since 15% is such a huge percentage but I don't think it would affect crypto that much. It might affect Bitcoin and other altcoins a little but I guess it could still recover fast. The situation of Kazakhstan is getting worse and I hardly believe that the main problem is their leader. I hope that things would get better for them because lots of innocent people are suffering.
Since the independence from the Soviet Union the ruling party is in power. Anything or any party against the ruling party agenda were oppressed. This is the reason behind the protests that has caused the death of 164 people. The real reason for the ongoing violence is the leader. People always look for a change, already the leader is on the throne for about 30+ years. After these many years people expecting for a change is common mentality of any human.

That means that country is still influenced by Russia. But why did people start protesting after that long? Why they didn't do that in these 30 years? First middle east now this part. It seems like we are going to see another cold war between two superpowers.

Miners have made a bad decision by moving into this country after china's ban on BTC mining. Internet shut down, more troops are coming from Russia tension is high. Can we see another situation like Ukraine?
310  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or altcoins on: January 09, 2022, 07:40:41 PM

Long term = bitcoin

Short term = altcoins

Exactly this is my thinking. Because there is nothing like bitcoin and there will not be but most of the altcoin we have is better version of another altcoin or there will be a better version of it in the future. So people will keep going to new project that gives them most of the benefits. So in altcoin most of the time money will not stay in one project for so long expect some top altcoin.

I can still remember there were some project in top 100 of CMC in 2018 but today you will not find them any more. Many of them dead or lose its hype because of its rival. So one thing i can say we should love bitcoin and trade altcoin.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling isn't the end it's just the beginning to have more coins on: January 07, 2022, 09:44:32 PM
Volatility is something that can never be erased in crypto world and stock market so why are people sleeping on a present market condition? When bull starts around it starts feeling like it's never going away and when bears comes around it looks like good times aren't ever coming again, all this crypto vibes are based on time this is why crypto adopters must be smart enough to always know when to buy and when to let go, selling isn't the end it's just the beginning of having more assets in your portfolio

Actually it most of us can not sell on perfect top. But selling on time can change our portfolio dramatically. For example, just think you sell off your BTC at 69k so now you can buy BTC with a lower price and have 1.5X amount of BTC with that same money. That makes the difference between a smart investor and a panic seller.

Whales can drive the market to their favor and they make money by doing the opposite of market sentiments. When BTC cross 60k many said now 100k is inevitable for BTC but the market didn't follow people's sentiments. Now people are saying BTC will touch 30k level but I think this time also they will be heartbroken.
312  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC: is it really bearish? on: January 07, 2022, 09:33:40 PM
I really doubt that because the market is in extreme fear for the last one months and it is moving sideways for almost a year. The on-chain data shows that 1.3 million BTC has been out of circulation that means long-term holders are accumulating BTC. 76% of BTC from circulation has been moved to storage which means to those wallets that don't have any history of spending BTC. So with that remaining 24% supply, there could not be a major sell-off. We could see a small correction to eliminate paper hands so that whales can buy more but no major correction is expected.

Actually, I am expecting a mega rally for BTC very soon.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everything you need to know about NFTs tokens on: January 05, 2022, 04:28:15 PM
The main question is, why are these NTF tokens so expensive?
I tried to figure out the pricing.
For this reason, it usually depends on people's interest in buying the NFT and also most expensive NFTs are limited edition NFTs, and also currently the most expensive NFT is Art NFT because the price can reach above 20 eth, For example NFT made by Ashton Kutcher, the paintings he made are ridiculous but maybe because he famous public figures when he did the auction sold over 20 eth.

I always thought NFT's are just a batch of collector's items and they do not have any use case rather than using as a profile picture. I never had an interest in NFT because most of the volume that shows in NFT is fake and it is not like a spot market and more like an auction so the seller can bid his own NFT at a higher price. You will never know because it's not hard to create a new wallet and place a bid at a higher price.

Recently I have seen some projects are trying to give some use cases to their users like premium membership, discounts etc. It always looks a bit complicated to me why people are buying some jpg images with so much money. Can you tell me what is the actual reason behind it?
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good metaverse tokens. on: January 05, 2022, 04:14:44 PM

How about CyberTrade? I believe that this project will be noticed by many people in the future, they have good graphics in the game and a design that is a bit like Cyberpunk 2077, I even heard that they haven't had a token sale (public sale) yet and this is a good opportunity to get a lot of ROI opportunities. If you want to know more about this project, you can visit their Website or Telegram Group.

First of all, metaverse doesn't mean there will only be play to earn like game. Play to earn concept became very hyped out recently but now it's not that demandable. People are more focusing on web3 so I think it will be better to avoid play to earn related new projects for now. You can keep an eye on projects like blok. These projects already got a huge community so I think this project will survive in the long run.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start learning about metaverse? on: January 05, 2022, 04:10:54 PM
Hey everyone.  Cool

As the topic name suggests, I want to start learning about metaverse. I don't know much about it except a bit about the general idea that I saw here and there; and I wanna know everything: The idea, the sites I can visit to use metaverse, the related cryptocurrencies I need to know about, and every other important subjects.

Google search brings up a few options, but I don't know which is the best learning material. So please help me bitcointalk's hive mind.  Grin

Binance Academy is a great place to learn about crypto-related topics. Also, you can see youtube for more visual content. You can also enroll in some metaverse-related courses like Metaverse Masterclass, Virtual Reality Specialisation, Introduction To Metaverse & How To Invest In It, Start AR, and VR Metaverse Business. I have not enrolled them yet but I am confident that you will have enough knowledge from them.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Profitable coin for 2022 on: January 05, 2022, 11:47:04 AM
Let's we discuss about some profitable coin for 2022. No doubt Bitcoin the favourite coin for all-time investment. Besides Bitcoin, which coin will be the most profitable for 2022. I say Harmony, You?

If you are looking for more altcoin then I will say follow the trend. Because most of the money will be there. There are many good projects but they failed to raise when metaverse or meme coins did multiple X when their trend was running. Many assume that the web3 trend is upcoming so I want to mention some top web3 projects that you can keep an eye on. dot, bico, kilt, dia, link, dego, theta, aioz, pond, fil, icp, and the most important ocean.
317  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid crisis leaves Sri Lanka on brink of bankruptcy on: January 05, 2022, 11:42:12 AM
That doesn't sound good at the moment. But I regret why China got involved in this crisis after they wanted to help?
Sri Lanka owes too much to China which will eventually worsen its financial situation. It's really not great, but maybe they had no other choice last year when it came to solving some of their country's financial problems. China's insistence on Sri Lanka to pay off its debts will only make things worse, I'm not sure Sri Lanka will be able to pay off [its debt installments] even though the government is optimistic about it.

They also took a loan from another rasing sun in Asia Bangladesh. The even Maldives asked for a loan from Bangladesh. Bangladesh and Srilanka both have sea areas and ports. Both are ideal for business but why Srilanka is in these kinds of situations when Bangladesh doing very well.

China has a big investment in both countries and Bangladesh is taking very good advantage of it when Srilanka failed to manage their investment to develop the country. The way it is going Srilanka will be fully chinas influenced very soon.
318  Economy / Economics / Re: A way to make money online? on: January 05, 2022, 11:36:04 AM
Im looking for a way to make money online. I have a website in development but I would like to find a way to make some extra cash while the website is in development. I would just like it to not be Surveys, or Dropshipping. Got any ideas?

People get paid off because of their skills. Because to conduct a successful project you needs to have good skills about that topic. To learn quickly you need to find out where most of your interests are because it will be easy for you to learn. Also, there are demands for almost every type of skill in some ways. So first learn a skill then use your full energy to acquire more experience about it.

Then follow social media and job placement sites for jobs in your interest. If you can have good skills there won't be a problem for a job I believe.
319  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything you wanted to know about ES Volcano Bond and were afraid to ask! on: January 04, 2022, 11:13:28 AM
4. How this Bond compares to traditional investment.
[~snip~]
Cutting long story short: this bond is a financial disaster.

This was the part I was looking for.
I understand that certain entities prefer to invest into bitcoin related products instead of bitcoin itself because it may be easier from legal, accountancy and maybe also from tech/safety point of view.

Still, for us, individuals who already got to this forum, and can read the few words about buying bitcoin and keeping it safe, buying bitcoin related products instead of actual bitcoin makes no sense.
And yes, there's always the risk that some of such bitcoin related products, like these volcano bonds, are a "financial disaster". And in most cases those details are pretty well hidden.

So you are thinking that this will be another bubble like dot com that we have seen earlier in this century. It is true many countries have legal issues with BTC so people want to invest in products related to BTC. But as long as it has a working product behind it and it contains value there should not be a problem. Still, It is not the same as buying BTC and won't serve the purpose of BTC.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 Savings and investment plan on: January 04, 2022, 11:05:34 AM
Interesting to know about your plan for the new year. I also have thought about doing something like that so that I can be ahead of most of us. My first priority will be what I have done wrong in 2021 and why that happens. I want to do that first because I do not want to do that same mistake again. Then I will calculate how much loss I have taken and how I can recover from that. The next work which is important and that is finding the trend for 2022 and picking up some project for that where I will make my initial investment for the year ahead.

Please let me know if i need to add something with all these too.
