Bitcoin or altcoins

If your goal is to increase your BTC holding them you can buy some altcoin and wait for them to raise up in BTC pair. When the BTC market rallies up it is wise to hold BTC because alt will bleed that time. When BTC dominance goes down convert your BTC into alt and wait for the next alt to rally up. Though holding altcoin is always risky if you are a short-term trader.

I feel that things like this will not go well, because most of the existing alt pairs will follow the movement of btc and when btc goes down they will automatically decline, even tend to be more.
but maybe for my own alternative to use stablecoins for this so that their correction is not too severe and wait until everything subsides then I convert it again to bitcoin

Yes maybe that's a good idea but again it depends on each individual's decision because they must have their own way,
Stable coins have always been an option to secure what we have earned and that's nothing new

Talking about strategy, of course everything has differences and my strategy is like that, maybe some people are in line with what I do and maybe not because as you say everything can be done and everyone has their own thoughts.
On the other hand, this actually creates more options because the more we discuss, the more knowledge will increase and at least whether it's an ordinary altcoin and has less volatility than bitcoin and stable coins all have their own advantages and this option is very good to be used as a reference

I have been watching this market for a long time.

It seems that in the early part of a bull market, Bitcoin goes up faster than altcoins (ie Bitcoin dominance goes up.)  In the late part of a bull market, Bitcoin still goes up but altcoins go up even better (ie Bitcoin dominance goes down.)

In a bear market, altcoins fall faster than Bitcoin (ie Bitcoin dominance recovers somewhat but has to wait for the next bull market to go really high.)

So, it would seem the correct play is to buy altcoins at this point, and then convert them into Bitcoin (or sell) when you see the bull market ending?

Any thoughts?

I am not an expert in trading and also in marketing analysis, but I think bitcoin have the control of almost all the altcoin price in cryptocurrency market, even during the bull market, the rate at which altcoin price dump is very higher than that of bitcoin, and once bitcoin price to trying to recover some Altcoins will also recover but not as fast as bitcoin price.

Indeed, when the price of Bitcoin goes up, some altcoins also go up and vice versa.
but of course not all altcoins follow Bitcoin so I don't think it can be a benchmark,
we have to analyze every coin to know its movement

This is what you're saying with that example but it's not a parable. It's true that there are too many cheap altcoins that could make someone rich eventually without realizing that they did the right thing.

But I've seen people who invested with altcoins that just pumped, they didn't know about it nor did any research, they've just bought it because they think that it's a good buy. Other than that, most of those analysis that made them buy altcoin is really due to the cheap price and likely the potential of it.

Bitcoin and some right altcoins like BNB or ETH can be more profiting if a big sum will be invested to it, I mean, if you only invested a little compared to the present value of coin you've chosen then the profits you make is also little.

Maybe a coincidence, and I don't think the rise of Bitcoin and alt-coins has a pattern it's meant to follow, I have seen some coin do better than Bitcoin in the bull in term of the multiple times it went up, but facts remains no alt-coins would compare with Bitcoin in being solid, alt-coins can do well in the bull run but many washes away during the dip, it's not really certain especially when you are holding a new coin regardless of it did well during a Bull run, it could easily be washed away during the dip

Indeed, there are alts that are doing well during bullrun but it doesnt mean its a good investment compared to Bitcoin.

If we're talking to a long term investment then Bitcoin is a good buy. Alts on the other side are ideal for short term, plus its risky holding it for long unless its a well-established coin.

Hence if you're going to invest in crypto, allocate big fraction to Bitcoin then diversify to alts that has potential.

Why would you buy at the start of the bull market though, it's as if you're buying when the market is already pumping and there's no guarantee that you're getting in when it's the start. I could agree that you need to invest in bitcoin first before anything else to build a good foundation but you can also go the other way around, it's not like everyone can afford to buy a good amount of bitcoin.

The three coins between Bitcoin, ETH, and BNB are indeed very suitable for long-term investments and can provide profits,
even so long-term investment is not an easy thing to do because it takes patience

Many alts are good for the long run... look Ethereum, Binance, ADA, and many others, they made nice records this year, and I think we can say they will make new records in upcoming years! If the project is good and has potential you should consider holding it...

I guess Doge shows how crazy crypto world can be! Even Doge holders made a fortune last year... and it's just one of the examples! So the fact is that some alts are great for long term holding!
