301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈 The United Football League (UFL) 2024 Thread 🏈 on: April 09, 2024, 05:29:21 AM
Finally got around to watch one of the games, last week I tried by all means possible and I could not find a way to watch them, but I could watch one this week, and while obviously the quality of play is lower and the speed of the game seems a little slow, this is helping with my NFL withdrawal symptoms, one interesting fact is that during the Renegades and Battlehawks game there was a 40k attendance on the stadium, which compared to the attendance over the rest of the games is huge, and this could be a signal for the NFL to consider sending a NFL franchise over to St. Louis as some point on the future.

Yeah for me because of time zone and lack of cable TV options, I've just been watching the recaps on YouTube. This is their official channel BTW:

https://www.youtube.com/@theUFL/featured

I like how the highlights of the games are summarized in 15 mins, but its hard to really get to know the players in such a short amount of time. The stadium at the Stallions/Panthers game looked half empty, but the crowd that was there did seem to be enjoying themselves. Gonna be watching as much of it as possible as it seems to be a bit higher quality of play than college level (if I should be so bold to make such a claim).

Game highlight reels for your easy reference (winning team bolded):

Birmingham Stallions vs. Michigan Panthers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vx24IqNLFXE
Houston Roughnecks vs. D.C. Defenders: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwpaEBN_288
Arlington Renegades vs. St. Louis Battlehawks (potentially best game): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrW0S3zgTYo
San Antonio Brahmas vs Memphis Showboats: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SqhTBx0WKw

Right now, the Stallions seem to be the dominant team out of the 8. They are 2-0 so far and were the winners of the USFL championships in 2022 and 2023, after all.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: April 09, 2024, 04:40:12 AM
Sooo let's say X achieves its goals as a "one app to rule them all" payment system, crypto enabled.  I'm hearing up and running by years end.

What happens to doge then?

Not too far fetched is it?  I think it's happening.

Not too far fetched at all. Who knows whether it will be just DOGE or DOGE and a combination of other cryptos (personally I'd be happy to see BTC and LTC also included). I can't imagine a scenario where Elon just ends up ignoring DOGE completely, after all he's talked it up over the years. He also stated none of his companies will ever launch their own "proprietary" blockchain.

We're gonna struggle to get above 60 cents as everyone who is still sitting on a loss will want to cash out as soon as we approach their initial buy levels. But after that, I think $1 is not an unrealistic possibility, especially if BTC goes above $100k. After we reach $1, we'll take a look around and assess things to see how much more potential for growth there is.
303  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: (Ordinals) BRC-20 needs to be removed on: April 09, 2024, 04:19:00 AM
Any thoughts about Runes protocol in this topic? rodarmor.com/blog/runes
Halving is arriving in ~2k blocks and fees can be way higher than any brc20 previous wave. Do we have the same angry people?

Not going to read it -- I already get the gist of it -- its Ordinals 2.0. Apparently he wasn't satisfied with the money he made already, so he launched something nearly completely the same under a different name.

Here's the fact: Runes was DOA (Dead On Arrival) so there's nothing to be angry about. Nobody cares about it because nearly everyone involved in Ordinals has already figured out that their main influencooor, Leonidas, is a cheeseball scammer.

Don't really feel bad for anybody who loses money to this garbage: you should have figured out Leonidas was a scammer by now. If you haven't, well you know what they say about a fool and his money...
304  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: (Ordinals) BRC-20 needs to be removed on: April 08, 2024, 07:57:52 AM
i didn't even realize binance had ordinals the support was not longlasting! i think they just started supporting them in summer 2023. wow they really got rid of them quick! flash in the pan. but i guess binance was never one of the big ordinals marketplaces. there's still a handful and i am guessing opensea still supports them but i haven't looked in a long time.  Shocked

so people still looking to unload their monkeys probably have options but this is "bearish" news.

In hindsight it was obvious -- anyone involved in the NFT craze of 2021-2022 should have seen it coming. Liquidity dries up after the next new & shiny thing is no longer so new & shiny. What's interesting is the price of a Bored Ape (BAYC) is now almost back down to its mint price, meaning just about everybody who ever bought one is currently sitting on a loss. Casey tried to make Runes the next shiny thing but the gleam has already fallen off the cube, if that's an expression. The power of his head honcho influencer, Leonidas, is weaning by the day as more and more people finally figure out for themselves that he is not much more than a grifting scammer.

Anyways, its all good for normal bitcoin users, and even not so no normal bitcoin users themselves, like me, who have used Counterparty to make non-standard transactions for nearly a decade now and can see myself doing the same 10 years from now.

I've never seen such a huge fuss raised over such a small issue or insignificant amount of money.  Roll Eyes

What a surprise, finally you say something very obvious and with a lot of logic behind it.
I wonder why it's only now and why other scammer hunters didn't think the same thing a long time ago?

Because there was and is no scam happening, that's why.

Let's start with where is EVA and why did she disappear?

I'm gonna guess its because they got sick of being stalked by you, after months of trying to make things right with you (and failing), they figured it wasn't worth dealing with the forum as a whole anymore.

Why has Blackjack.fun gone private and invitation only with its Free Roll Tournaments?

Most likely because they are, once again, sick of being harassed and stalked by the likes of you.

Whatever crusade you're on, you lost. Nobody has even the slightest bit of sympathy for you, and even fewer people actually care about this issue. You never even managed to explain what the "scam" was. Of course you didn't learn any sort of lesson here -- you've proven you are unable to learn through experience over the last 5 years of your existence on this forum. You're about as untrustworthy as they come, and as I said before, I pity anyone who has to deal with you.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Shitcoin 3.0 - First Parody Token on the First Parody Blockchain! on: April 08, 2024, 04:37:10 AM

The ShitcoinDAO Official Charter:

- The ShitcoinDAO, an autonomous collective, aims to increase the value of SHITCOIN for its holders while promoting general growth of the SHITCOIN ecosystem. The DAO will draw upon inspiration from its members to achieve this objective via enacting member-generated proposals. Such proposals may relate to governance, Discord changes, resource allocation (treasury budget of 1M SHITCOIN), distribution efforts via airdrops or incentive programs, and community engagement.

- Only those verified as holding 100,000 or more SHITCOIN in a single address may participate in the DAO. If the amount of SHITCOIN in a DAO member’s corresponding address falls below 100k, they may be expelled from the DAO. The only other way to be expelled from the DAO is if for some reason you’re a massive dick (act of expulsion to be voted upon by the Council, of course).

- Those who are elected to Council of Director or Sargent at Arms positions will receive monthly compensation in the form of SHITCOIN (20k SHITCOIN per month).

- All DAO-related proceedings will be held within the invite-only ShitcoinDAO channel of the Dogermint Discord group (by invite only).

- All DAO members will have the chance to earn SHITCOIN by participating in various bounties, contests & opportunities. Members will also be invited to participate in giveaways of not just Dogermint tokens but a whole wealth of historical & new Dogeparty goodness.

- As one of the world’s oldest shit tokens (and the first one named "SHITCOIN"), we strive to bring awareness to the blockchain historicals movement, to help the modern crypto crowd understand and appreciate vintage assets / Historical NFTs, and to put SHITCOIN in its rightful place as the most recognized / well-esteemed shit token the universe has ever seen.

Obligations of the Founder:

- To stay alive & keep the Dogermint Discord & ShitcoinDAO running 24/7, until I’m dead or I’m the only one left.

- To pledge not to personally open any more SHITCOIN dispensers after our first & main dispenser sells out (the idea is to let the value of SHITCOIN appreciate naturally after this point).

- To enact & uphold without prejudice any changes to the rules, DAO structure, rewards, etc. as voted upon by the Council of Directors.

- To maintain a treasury budget (in the form of SHITCOIN) to pay Directors & Sargeant at Arms for a period of at least 1 year.

- To create a fair, fun, & balanced environment where all members are encouraged to participate, voice their concerns & engage in constructive dialogue with all other members of the DAO.

ShitcoinDAO Ethos & Member Conduct:

- First and most importantly, thou shalt not be a dick. There’s no reason for it. We’re all here to have a good time and hopefully watch the price of SHITCOIN fly through Uranus. Remember that it’s called SHITCOIN. Yes, we want to take it seriously like we want to take Dogecoin seriously, but the truth is DOGE was invented as a joke and SHITCOIN was invented as a joke on a joke. So, just bear in mind this caveat before getting too angsty, and remember this is a long-term game we’re playing.

- Outside of rule #1, when talking about SHITCOIN, you can basically do no wrong! Do anything you want when interacting in Discord, please add your creative media files or music to Discord, help get the word out about SHITCOIN any way you want… However you want to contribute, its up to you. ANYTHING! (OK, almost anything… no nudity, politics or religions pls). You can say all kinds of weird stuff and most rational people will assume, “well, that’s SHITCOIN for ya.”

- What else… Just be cool. Kind of ties in with the whole “don’t be a dick” rule, but I’ll tell ya, after running the Dogermint Telegram group for 2+ years, I really appreciate the random moments of humor, the compliments, the sharing of cards/tokens, and the general team spirit that we are all in this together. We are all aspiring toward the same goals here, so let’s work together. If you forgot, the two goals are: get SHITCOIN off the floor price for good + have fun.

To wrap it up:

1. Don’t be a dick. Its fine if you say crazy ass shit about SHITCOIN on Twitter or elsewhere, but just be nice to fellow DAO members. They all deserve it, and we all have the same goals here.
2. Feel free to share your ideas! Big or small, we welcome them and want to hear them. Anything that you think will help us get this off the ground.
3. Thanks for being here! If you are reading this, just know that I think you’re awesome, I thank you for being part of the Dogermint / Shitcoin family, and now let’s take this bitch to the moon.

307  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI Spam Report Reference Thread on: April 07, 2024, 02:43:48 PM
I've quoted some of his posts, I'm pretty sure I'll find more, but I run out of scans on Copyleaks and gave up. There's also a discrepancy in his post quality and level of English, between AI posts and non-AI ones, making it a little more noticeable I guess. Share your thoughts.

Username: Humblevirus

Did you report these posts? They are all pretty bad and definitely AI, yet for some reason haven't been deleted. I will report them as well just in case.

Maybe mods are just slow to act as it is the weekend.

I've never seen such a huge fuss raised over such a small issue or insignificant amount of money.  Roll Eyes

Taken as a whole, and having watched this (stupid) saga play out for like 3-4 months now, I can only conclude that JackpotRacer is extorting blackjack.fun for something on the side. They didn't get what they wanted, now they are continuing this crusade of baseless slander. Its one of the most bizarre things I've seen in a while. But whatever JPR was hoping to achieve completely backfired. Their reputation is plummeting to game-protect-level status and I doubt anyone here will ever take them seriously again.
309  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: (Ordinals) BRC-20 needs to be removed on: April 07, 2024, 02:40:01 AM
Anyhow, I thought you might be happy to know that binance has decided to no longer support Ordinals:

Binance to cease support for all Bitcoin NFTs
https://coinjournal.net/news/binance-to-ceases-support-for-all-bitcoin-nfts/

Binance announces end to Bitcoin NFTs support
A blog post published on Thursday noted that the trading of Bitcoin NFTs on the Binance NFT marketplace ends on April 18. The exchange has advised all users to to withdraw all their Bitcoin NFTs via the BTC network before May 18.

Crazy. I'm all for their decision of course. The reason why its crazy is this whole Runes thing was launched only a month or two ago and I guess its completely collapsed in popularity already. Looks like its finally the beginning of the end of the Ordinals Era in Bitcoin.

That is awful. Sorry to hear about that bud. And I do appreciate you sticking up for me. Turns out the hunches of everyone who ever left a feedback for him was correct. I'm thinking a flag is probably warranted at this point but its late here and I'll have to take a closer inspection of the situation tomorrow. We now know we are dealing with a game-protect level sociopath who will stop at nothing to make a dirty buck in the sleaziest of ways possible. Possibly the worst type of characters that the forum has to endure.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈 The United Football League (UFL) 2024 Thread 🏈 on: April 01, 2024, 02:55:21 AM
Here you go, some highlights of Sunday's UFL games. Winners are bolded. (it looks exactly like NFL, just mostly players we've never heard of, the uniforms are a bit more bold in their color/fashion schemas, and the talent level certainly more resembles farm leagues, but thats to be expected):

Arlington Renegades vs. D.C. Defenders: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvdJOi2mpYw
Memphis Showboats vs. Houston Roughnecks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8pTVkY5nKE
St. Louis Battlehawks vs. Michigan Panthers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6pK_qUoPi8

Also they have entire games on their YouTube channel as well.

I was impressed by the amount of scoring: 61 pts, 30 pts, and 34 pts.. There's a few more ways to score because of the whole additional PAT rules, and I think the refs are committed to keeping the game rolling and not dragging it out with too many penalties, reviews, etc.

Far more interesting and well-put together than I was expecting. Will probably be following it weekly going forward.
312  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [Investor-Based-Game] LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY TODAY! FOR FREE! on: April 01, 2024, 02:39:01 AM
You've heard of NFT's. But now we're bringing it back by popular demand!

Non-Fungible Kangaroos! Own your very own picture of a kangaroo today!

So that means its like an actual kangaroo? OK I want one. How does it get delivered? Wonder what I feed it when it gets here... Can I use its pouch to store beers? So many questions...

Oh its not actually a Non-Fungible Kangaroo, its just a jpeg. /disappointed
313  Other / Meta / Re: Adjustments to Merit calculation on: April 01, 2024, 01:55:02 AM
That's fine thermos; especially if I can have the merits deducted from my Source Merits and not the big earned merit stash I've been accumulating for The Great Merit War / Merit Armageddon.

I'd also like to make a suggestion where anyone can subtract a merit on anybody's post by destroying 10 of their own sMerits. Ideally I'd also like to use my Source Merits for that purpose but would settle for having to use my earned merits.

Thanks for once again proving you are continuing to innovate and Make Bitcointalk Great Again -- every April 1st you manage to come up with some brainbuster of an idea and we all appreciate how such ideas have helped grow the Greatness of the forum over the years.

Long Live Thermos, Our Benevolent Dictator.

I see a lot of the figmentofmyass behaviour in the puppeteer currently controlling the borovichok account with one exception. One did not use AI the other does. Could he have evolved to using AI since his previous farmed accounts were exposed?

That's a real possibility. Would probably be worth it to take a look at his addresses and see if there's any connections. There's no doubt in my mind his account was sold at least once over the years (probably twice, just taking a cursory glance at his post history).

You never know, anything can happen and I know very old legendary accounts that are scammers and cheaters, so rank doesn't mean much this days, but I have this guy on my ignore list already.

Yes that's true. I guess merits are still a pretty good indicator. When I see a Legendary with very few merits posting b.s. out of the blue, for the first time in months/years, it does raise my eyebrows. Meanwhile accounts like the one I was conversing with earlier just slowly grind their way to Legendary status, and looking at his post history all I can conclude is that merit count doesn't actually mean much either.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
315  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI usage, 3rd time in a few months on: March 30, 2024, 08:54:53 AM
I read it and it is clearly stated that your respond didn't correspond with borovichok and even with LoyceV comment. You just want to interpret it to your own way and trying to justify the comment. What borovichok said is very clear and any interpretation can be used for future reference. This is the jury in the forum and our comments must be clear for everyone understanding and not a personal Glossary Of Legal Terms. Well the guy in question has already gave up his account but according to him, he will come back again when good AI Detectors have developed in the forum, then he will ask the AI Detectors to visit his posting history and analyze them. And I think this the simple interpretation of borovichok comment there.

It somewhat saddens me that accounts like yours will one day be Legendary.

Enough of the AI detectors are already good enough right now, which is why dozens of his posts have been deleted as "AI spam."

So he disagrees with their findings because he thinks they are inferior detector services. Meanwhile when used in concert (to provide a consensus), all they are doing is pointing out the reality that he is using ChatGPT to generate his posts for him, which he continues to deny! So what he's really doing is waiting for an AI text generator that won't get caught by the detectors we use on this forum.

Its quite simple to understand really. And yes as part of "the jury in this forum" you are allowed to have your own opinion that disagrees with my assessment.
316  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ SCAM ALERT ] Blackjack.Fun is a cheap Scammer on: March 30, 2024, 08:40:07 AM

You've gone to such ridiculous lengths to accuse this casino of being a "scam" yet this entire time, for.. well would you look at that, 7 pages already.. yet you have yet to produce ONE SINGLE IOTA of evidence behind your claim! Its clear as day there is no way you aren't engaging in some form of extortion at this point.

Look at what has happened: your plan has totally backfired. The reputation of blackjack.fun remains wholly intact yet you've picked up 2 additional negative DT trusts.

If you had one ounce of dignity tucked away somewhere within your twisted mortal coil you would apologize and lock this thread immediately. Nobody has trusted you for years, and even fewer people trust you now. Just quit while you're behind.
317  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI usage, 3rd time in a few months on: March 30, 2024, 03:10:00 AM
Amazing... the guy basically said he'll come back to the forum when an undetectable AI tool has been developed, lol. The sheer audacity to deny posting dozens of straight-up ChatGPT texts and then declare themselves a "victim." Bravo. Stunning, yet also brave.
I think that sentence is very simple to understand and there was no need to misinterpret the guy. He said, "he will come to this thread again, when a Good and Unbiased AI Detectors are developed or come to the forum then he would come back to this thread" and not "undetectable" as you put it. If you didn't understand then you would have passedby

Clearly you didn't read my most recent post which addresses this issue which has already been brought up by LoyceV... He's saying he fully intends to continue posting AI but not until AI is good enough to not be detected by the detectors, because according to him, every positive reading on all of his clearly AI-written posts are false.

SBF gets 25 years in prison.

Lucky he didn't get closer to the maximum, which was 100+ years. Probably would have if he weren't so well connected.

I suppose that's fair enough... The bulk of the rest of his adulthood. He might get out early for good behavior or for this or that reason, but if he gets out before Ross Ulbricht I'll be pretty pissed about that.

So many politicians that took money from him embarrassed themselves so hard, but its already all being swept under the rug by a lobbyist-sized broom.

Moderator deleted the post

Mmmhmm... And why do you think that is? Is there a chance you should perhaps consider changing your posting habits if you don't want your posts deleted?

How many $$$ did you lose (along with your campaign spot) all because you failed to grasp (The not so-subtle) hints that people had been giving you since over 2 years now? You had plenty of opportunities to learn but instead you insisted what you were doing was OK. Maybe in your mind it still is, but that's the problem.

Frankly its surprising your account hasn't been banned yet.

Heh wow,  you sure got raked over the coals by the post miners (people who've sold their account to scammers who then abuse them)...Looks like TYM and ASU really took u for a ride.  Just be grateful they didnt hit u with the other accounts they bought.

Sounds like you're attempting to squirrel a little reputational blame shift here. These people didn't sell their accounts, they just turned out to be dirtbags. They were likely dirtbags all along (at least TYM was, I don't know so much about the case of asu). What a weird thread to bump for an even weirder reason.

Dirtbags have come and dirtbags gone. Both shasan and DireWolfM14 continue to perform an important service out of the kindness of their heart, and for some reason they both still believe in the overall good of humanity. We need more people like that in the world; especially on the forum.
