Should be fine. Smiley

Not saying it is a scam necessarily but it was clearly rushed to the scene and the numbers make no sense.

Hmm.. this story.. sounds.. familiar.. .. .. somehow... Tongue

If I understand correctly, HashFast is not the same as FastHash. Smiley

Any update on my redemption at face value that I requested on 30/07?

Hey hwmax,

If i missed your pm I apologize. I generally get 1~2 pages of pm's a day.

For the record, if you want to redeem, please sent me the number of shares so you can save time with me having to reply and ask. Wink

305  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] btcQuick - Bitcoin Sales Service on: August 03, 2013, 10:07:41 AM
No, there was this question last time when btcquick was releasing some shares. There will not be more than 50mil shares, some of those 50mil total were just not sold yet. BF is just showing total number of shares as issued for some reason

And that reason would most likely be because individuals own the remaining shares of the company itself, not the company. Smiley

Do people really have issue with the fees? Im not convinced shaving off fractions of a percent of the current rate, encourages someone to trade more. For me, thats a flawed reason for taking a trade in the first place considering we are accustomed to, and account for, spreads of 5%, 10%, and more.

Actually, in this example the fee's are almost the same, except that it changes it from seller only, to buyer and seller.
I have to admit that free to buy does pose a lot of conditional issues with doing other things on the site.

In my personal opinion the fee structure isn't the issue, the main issue is it takes so long waiting on 6 confirmations to deposit into we exchange. That make arbitrage almost impossible. If the confirmations required was dropped to 3 I think there would be more people arbing and that would increase liquidity.

While I can not bring myself to lower the standard 6 confirms, I do have a few things in the works that will help out for moving btc in and out of BF faster, esp for arb. Smiley

Hey everyone,

A few people have made a suggestion about changing the tiers to be more like

0.5%
0.45%
0.4%
0.35%
0.3%
0.25%

And apply the fee to both buy and sell. It is the thought of a few people that free buy and fee'd sell is bad.

Thoughts? (Yes, I know several people will say lower the fees (and it will increase trades)) unfortunately as I have stated before, I spend way more out of pocket on lawyers at the moment and that is a large risk for me. I might consider doing it for a few days to see if it helps but I am not sure that results would be immediate.)

Also please de-issue all G.Dice shares entirely.

That is for DT to do.
Not sure why he has not done it, I will give him a poke. Smiley

Also, any comments or questions that are not "Ukyo can you fix my tendering issues" (Because I can't) or those who want to just talk about things, feel free to join #bitfunder on irc.freenode.net Smiley

Everyone, please make sure things are correct.

Made sure all bids/reserves for AMC were removed.

Any active options for AMC were swapped to ActiveMiner.

If there is an issue, say something soon, or forever hold your peace.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to give a quick update.

Script is pretty much done.
I am just doing some final tests and preparing for execution.

When the time comes, the site will be disabled for maint. and a perfect on-hand db backup will be made for extra fallback and any later possible need of reference.

312  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Fenix. Hashing from the ashes of Bakewell. on: August 03, 2013, 05:17:22 AM
Next time you should say 'less and less transactions in comparison' rather than in general as BitFunder has certainly done nothing but grow.
Also, a 24 count view is probably not the best basis for 'less and less' as that would imply over time, and your citing a single point in time.

Yes, I am happy that btct is growing. Burnside has a lot to deal with at the moment. Smiley
313  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Fenix. Hashing from the ashes of Bakewell. on: August 03, 2013, 03:11:46 AM
Bitfunder seems to have less and less transactions. BTC-TC gets 10 times more. Any IPO for new money should probably done on BTC.

Next time you should check your facts before making offhanded statements. Smiley

Hey guys,

Just wanted to post an update about the AMC -> ActiveMining conversion.

Ken did contact me asking if it could be done and I am working on it.
Since this is the first time it will be be done I am writing a script for this procedure and want to put it through a few runs on the live-copy internal test system and make sure all logging and other much needed data is 100% before actually executing it. I don't want any issues out of this.

For those of you who say 'just have it take AMC, and give us ActiveMining' its not as simple as that when you do extreme logging, share tracking, transaction entries, etc.
I just want to spend the right amount of time to make sure things go as smoothly as possible and not "slap a simple script together".

I was hoping to get it done today but had some family stuff to deal with. Hopefully it will be doable within the next 20~24 hours or possibly sooner depending on time availability.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!

315  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] G.ASICMINER-PT on: August 01, 2013, 12:51:41 PM
Quick note:

Transfers in/out of the PT will remain suspended until everything can be fully accounted for.
My understanding is that there was an existing issue, so I will spend as much time needed to verify everything and work with FriedCat.
I expect that div's will begin arriving much closer to distribution.

So as of this point there is no need to panic.
Nothing is changing.
All shares will remain backed 1:1 and I have no intentions of doing any kind of fee on the dividends. Smiley

It would be helpful to the lag if BTC-TC and BitFunder had real-time charts. You are forced to refresh the screen to see what is happening. Its like flying blind.

BitFunder does have realtime book updates.
You can see everything instantly.

At FIVE TIMES the IPO price which ended just 4 hours ago??! You're crazy!

Why yes, yes I am.
Must by why I made an exchange Tongue

I have a large supply, and there could be a demand. *shrug*

Who knows what will happen after trading starts? might go up 10x that or more. Smiley

Though I suspect a large % will be willing to sell for double.
318  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 01, 2013, 12:09:14 AM
This is going to be a very quick race to the bottom.

Feel a bit sorry for Labcoin themselves. This thread should be about them, not about trader issues. Perhaps they need to move to another thread.

Probably right, this is not an auction thread. Just sounded like a fun way to kill time. Wink

I like how the owner of another BTC stock exchange is involved in IPO within another stock exchange.
Bitcoin stock exchange is sure wild!

A bit offtopic but a good way to kill time real quick:

I have always said I trade on BTCT and use it myself quite often.
I think Burnside has done a wonderful job with it.
