301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum shuts down forums because $300 / month is too much on: April 19, 2016, 01:02:21 AM
I think it's probably the case of learning from their mistakes, and over reacting in the other direction. They've decided to cut out any unnecessary spending. I don't know the complete situation, but it seems logical if someone with web business acumen contacts them with a proposition. They could turn that forum into a money maker. Place some Google ad's, tweak some SEO keywords, link backs etc..
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LISK price speculation on: April 19, 2016, 12:51:28 AM
I'm watching this whole thing very closely, this ICO is a good case study. When looking at new ICO's going forward.

Anyone know how long it usually takes, for a Signature campaign to get approved  ?   I'm ready to start riding the Waves  Grin

305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Recommended pyramid on: April 06, 2016, 06:59:57 AM
What happened to the one Ponzi .. That was on last night..

I talked to whale123 seems there was a mixup .. I guess someone made up some stuff or something?? I don't know but he contacted me and is supporting/ standing behind  his Ponzi games.  That's seems pretty legit to me ..
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Recommended pyramid on: April 05, 2016, 11:52:02 PM
It says in the topic that the rules of the game allow to send max 40 ETH. Just stick to 40 ETH or below and you won't encounter that error. Got couple of payouts already.

307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | PostCoin | [POST] | Pure POS | Revenue Sharing Board Partnership on: April 05, 2016, 07:48:58 AM
Ditto.. I've Pm'd my wallet also.. Looks like things are off to a good start. Has a lot of potential, gives Alt's their own home. I like the fact that Post Coins have substance behind it. People only have to look here, to see how big this will be in the future. Instead of one dominant coin there are 100's of Alts . Each trying to make a name/market for itself. The alt forum could be at least 10X+ the size of this forum. Don't be short sited post coin definitely has legs, and we are getting in on the ground floor. I'm excited to be a part of it.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum mining still profitable? on: April 04, 2016, 05:07:37 PM
i managed to resurrect my old PC and got a gfx card from a friend- R9 280x. what has speed will i be getting on avg. on this card. Use to get 770 kh/s fro scrypt algo

Kind of same deal with me.. Luckily I was lazy, and kept my old Ltc miner 3x 7950's. Turns out these work da bomb. I'm getting 67-70 mh.. I also under volted them, each card is using less than 200 watts. I'm adding 2 more cards to max out the unit this week.  I'm not going to make the same mistake I did in old days of BTC, pulling the plug because I wasn't gett atleast a coin a day.. Lol I'm gonna ride this into the ground, or until pos. Im also buying Eth on every big dip to cost average what I purchased on its run up. I looked on ebay these cards are selling for almost what I paid for them in I think 2013=$299.00.  I like what Mastersetad said about selling, and upgrading. I may if I can get the same power effiency.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dash ASIC Miner has arrived on: April 04, 2016, 05:18:45 AM
So much for algorithms saying they are asic proof. lol. Anything is possible with time...

Yep, with time and dedication anything is possible. Important thing here is that Dash just like Bitcoin was given some years to
provide CPU & GPU mining before moving towards ASIC mining (which was the objective anyways, trying to avoid ASIC mining in the very early phase).

Either way, pretty cool news, could help move the markets a bit with more coins coming in. Is it for the bad or is it for the good? As always, time will tell.

In my undestanding the number of generated coins is not influenced by the speed of the mining. It wil just be more difficult to solve the hash puzzle. More power with a more difficult puzzle causes the same time to solve the puzzle that will generate new coins.

Nothing wil change.

It is only interesting for people who get the first mining equipment: their hash power will then be temporarily much higher then others so they will receive a bigger share of the generated coins.

If your right .. Then the only advantage might be asics power efficiency over GPU's. That might be worth looking into..

Are there a linux howto? i want try to mine eth

Linux isn't that bad anymore .. If you can install Windows, and run some dos programs. You can definitely run Unbuntu or Linux mint. If you want to do it .. I recommend Linux mint 17.1 same platform as Unbuntu 14.04. YouTube for install off USB key. Just download Linux mint iso. Get a program like Rufus and universal usb installer to write a bootable USB. Boot up and your off ..
Once installed I think the daily decryp on YouTube has Geth install instructions. After that head over to dwarf pool and follow their miner instructions, and more advanced ethproxy. That's a  little more complicated.. Basically you will install everything via a terminal like dos. Command line .. You pretty much just copy and paste the instructions.. Just google and you will find a forum if you get stuck. But seriously Linux mint has a gui a lot like Windows Xp very user friendly.
311  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Solo Mining on an S3 with 51.1 Difficulty - here we go! UPDATE: Block Found!! on: April 04, 2016, 04:45:13 AM
Everytime I chcek in on these threads and see another rental block hit I want to rent some hash so bad!! I just don't think I will be as lucky as history has it lol.  Maybe I will start off the new year flipping my miners to the solo pool, and throwing a little hash that way as well.  Congrats to all with success hitting blocks.

I was funny, I rented 1P three times for 24 hours each, got squat.  Then I rent 50T for 17 hours and hit a block.  That's why it called the BTC lottery!!!  A couple days ago someone hit a block on -ck's pool with 5T.  So I guess you never know!!

Congrats Madmartyk!! Inspired I might pull my Bfl Jalapeņo out..lol .. Who knows ?  I'm definitely going to check out renting some hashes!
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining ETH - How do you determine your real Hash Speed? on: April 04, 2016, 02:09:18 AM
This question about mining hash rates plagued me as well.  I recently switched back to Dwarf pool from Ethpool solo. I installed the Ethproxy downloads found on Dwarf..  That program shows your, transmitting Hasrate after every share send. I also boosted my hasrate by about 15% using their proxy along with farm-recheck and global switchs in the command line.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 100% Winrate on: March 13, 2016, 06:13:50 PM
It's 99.999999999%, or let's just say 100%.
No, you can't easily round gambling chances like that.
Every tiny number affect everything.

315  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: February 22, 2016, 11:43:39 PM
I came to figure out, why would a consumer/customer use Bitcoins?
You have to pay the 3 cent fee, while you dont have to pay anything when paying with a credit card.

So what is really a benefit for using Bitcoins, customer wise?
The simple answer : Bitcoin is more safety than credit cards.
do you have any evidence if bitcoin is more secure than a credit card?
Because bitcoin like owning a key to a certain undestroyable safe, if your bitcoin stolen then it's the owner own fault on handling the key, not from other factor
