yes I did. Basically claymore works fine, genoil works fine up to 4 cards, managed to let genoil run also on 7 cards, I waited through lag on start. It took like 5 minutes to initialize miner and generate dag files, dag files go fast though, but other stuff is super slow and CPU usage is 100%, ethminer using over 70%. After initialization was done miner worked normaly but crashed after 1 hour on low clocks, seemed unstable. I'll test for now newest claymore, I heard it improved hashrates, so maybe it can beat genoil even with devfee. My last test would be genoil on Ubuntu. Maybe there it will work nice. I use genoil on 2 of my home pcs as I w8 for risers, where I use only 2 gpus per motherboard, I run win 10 and genoil and I have effective hashrate on my pool around 60-62MHs even if miner shows 58 and it's on low power. And effective hashrate is everything, it declares how much you farm. And this 60-62mh/s effective average is over few days, while claymore on my rigs always was around 2-6MHs less then my reported hashrate and in general lower then genoils rigs. On claymore my avg per card is like 28.5-29 and on genoil 30-31.

Try setting your machine up with more virtual memory?
I did. I added 16GB of virtual memory. It works normal with 4 cards and when 4G Encoding is disabled, when I enable it it becojmne super slow. Claymore works ok but ehhh If someone can help me to get genoil work on my Asus Rog Strix Z270f Gaming motherboard and 7xGtx 1070 I promise i'll donate him 0.3 Eth. I am on Win 10 Pro 4G encoding enable in BIOS + https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/instantanswers/d4efb316-79f0-1aa1-9ef3-dcada78f3fa0/get-the-windows-10-creators-update - update wind 10 pro (you need click "If you want to install the update now, go to the Microsoft software download website, and select Update now." and then update - takes some time. then try once again ethminer) + newest drivers 384,76 + add virt memory = problem solved I downloaded it and as soon I stared it it said "thank you for updating to the latest version of Windows 10" - I have win 10 pro 1703 version 15063.413 OS build and it's same issue

People are forgetting that 1070 can do 30 mhs and that they are available to buy almost everywhere.Or it could be that nvidia is testing their 1060 mining cards😀
Half right. Yes, most 1070 are capable of 30 Mh/s or very close. No, they are NOT available to buy almost everywhere for the last week or so - avaiability has gotten REAL spotty, almost down to RX 470/570/480/580 levels - though the price hasn't climbed AS MUCH yet, it's also headed up well into 1080 territory. People mining ETH on a 1070 are being kinda dumb though, those cards do a LOT better on other algos and coins for profitability. What would you suggest to mine with gtx 1070? When i was checking profitability charts and such i noticed eth is only few percent less profotable then other coins. I have right now 17x gtx 1070.

I am on Win 10 Pro All these are BIOS Settings that work for me on 10+ boards flawlessly : Step 1 : Update bios to the latest Step 2: Disable Audio, Disable USB 3.1, Disable all USB ports except the first 4, Disable all sata ports except the one that your SSD is connected to, disable serial port Step 3 : Set default display to onboard/igfx, enable 4g decoding Step 4 : Turn all PCIe slots to Gen1 Step 5 : Reboot and run with all cards connected, let the cards intall for a bit, check in device manager when they are all done, then reboot system and voila If you use a m.2 to pcie converter, you can get even 8 cards to work with the above settings. PM me if you still cant get it to work. Address for Donation : 0x3e0a7e2c711af522cc9147816569fb7f0415bb19 I will try it as soon as I get home. I tested a lot of things with bios but had probs. Maybe its my binary for genoil also or something. I'll pm you as soon as I try it

Does this work also on Ubuntu 16.04 desktop?
Also there is CUDA 8, is there any difference with 7.5?
And is genoil better then claymore? I heard genoil yields 5% higher rates and no devfee
Cheers!

Guys, anyone got this EWBF miner working on Ubuntu desktop 16.04?* I dont know how to install it Can anyone help?

I'm not sure what the equivalent in Linux is, but for 'Above 4G Encoding' set to enabled to work with Windows, it has to be installed in UEFI mode enabled. I'm guessing Linux has something similar. You probably have to install Linux with UEFI enabled.
It could be that or something. I will try it out. Thank you a lot!

Did you mean 17.04 ? Ubuntu site can't have link to 17.10. Only 17.04
PCH option under the PCI-Express speed works on PCI-E X16 slot 0. But I am using PCI-E X1 slot 2,3. Does it change anything?
Yeah, 17.04LTS. You need to set all the slots to Gen 1 or Gen 2, whichever one works. Otherwise, you'll get weird Nvidia display errors. For example: Asus Prime H270 Plus - when it is not set to Gen 1 - on either Gen 2 or Gen 3 you get display errors, before the log in page. And, only 2 cards are recognised - even though motherboard support is for 4 GPUs on PCI-E 1X. Hey! Do you have any clues how to make my Asus Z270-P Motherboard recognize 5 or more GPU-s. I can do 4 but not more i am desperate. Not sure what to do. I use ubuntu 16.04 downloaded from ubuntu site. Desktop version

Greetings everyone!
I am wondering is anyone running Asus Prime Z270-P on Ubuntu 16.04 - Desktop.
I had 4 GPU-s running smooth and when i added 5th if i had 4G decoding, i had blank black screen when i booted, if i turned it off i could log with 5 gpus but system didnt recognize fifth, had only GPU 0 1 2 3. If i removed 5th card i had problems again lol.
SO basicaly i can do this - have 5 gpus with 4G on and have 1 as not recognized or have 4 with 4G off. Its something like that, maybe it was vice versa, but basicaly system either didnt boot even with 5 gpus or it didnt shown 5th if it managed to boot.
But anyway! Can anyone help me please how to set up BIOS and options in there to have 5 6 or even more GPUS working on my ASUS prime 270p
PLEASE HELP!
I BEG YOU

I should probably rephrase. I have all 6 GPUs on risers, the only time it does not post is when I have 2 of the x16 slots with the risers in them. I will double check and make sure they are all the same gen type. I had it on auto first but when I did, it wouldn't even boot past one card. I'm to the point I may just reset the MB bios via cmos and start fresh.
Use all 3 of the x16 slots, then begin populating the x1 slots beginning with the one closest to the CPU and moving away from it. I did not try this but I did get it working. Motherboard changes to get it to post: DMI max gen 2 pciex16_1 link gen 2 pciex16_2 link gen 2 pcie spread spectrum clock disable pcei speed gen 2 restore ac power on hd audio controler disable post delay time 0 sec above 4g decoding enable Current slots in use (check MB manual) PCIEX1_1 PCIEX16_1 PCIEX1_2 PCIEX1_3 PCIEX1_4 PCIEX16_3 If I use the PCIEX16_2 slot claymore miner will not detect the GPU in that slot, skipping it posts and all 6 are registered. Link to the stats CC: 100 Mem: 1275 dcri: 20 Watt: 115 per card 802 watts from the wall Just wanted to say thanks for making this! Happy to donate if you have an address to send it to. I initially planned on running Windows but was having sporadic hashing rates. I switched over to this and it's been running perfectly.
Also wanted to say that I was able to run 8 1070 GPUs with no issues on ASUS PRIME Z270-P motherboard. To get the additional 2 GPUs on this board, I'm using two m.2 to PCI-e adapters.
I BEG YOU, what are your BIOS settings and version?* PLEASE!! I cant get my 5th gpu to work. I use all GTX 1070 and Ubuntu 16.04 desktop- I also have Asus Z270-P but simply something is done wrong Basically either i cannot enter ubuntu, i am stuck after bios screen or i manage to get in but system doesn't show 5th gpu

Guys! I use Asus Z270-P motherboard. And i am having problems when i add 5th gpu. I am using ubuntu desktop 16.04. I use 5x gtx 1070. Please, can anyone give me some info how to install my fifth card and then eventualy add 6th or 7th. How to setup Bios, what version etc. I guess nvOC wont work properly also before i deal.with this. Please.help me spent last day trying to figure it all out. When i add 5th gpu its either stuck. It doesnt let me enter bios even. I just see black screen. Or if i change bios options, i get into ubuntu but system sees only 4 gpus. 5th is invisible. Gpu 0 1 2 3 are shown 4 is not there. Most likely; you need to enable: Above 4G Decoding in the bios. I do have it enabled but i never managed to get it working on 5x gpu... I tried changing gen1 2 3 and auto and enable 4g decoding etc but it doesnt work. Please can anyone on Ubuntu 16.04 give me his BIOS version and options i am desperate

Anyone have any suggestions to this problem, I am all ears.
I have one of my rigs which uses a Asus Prim z270-a when I put the 6th GPU in it will not POST to the bios screen therefore not start up.
From troubleshooting it only happens if I have 2 GPUs plugged into the X16 slots, if I only have one it works fine.
I have changed the BIOS to the recommend from the thread here for the z270-a and set it all to GEN2.
Any other suggestions?
There were 4 Gen2 settings I needed to change, did you change them all? Could be an issue running 2 on the board with 7 or more, i've only tested with 1 on the board +6 risers or all risers. Check for faulty riser cables too, that slowed up a friend of mine getting 7 going on this board. This was my thought as well; WarwickNZ. I'm not sure if you can use 2x GPUs direct on the mobo + 5x with risers with this mobo. When using a GPU directly more pcie lanes / pcie bandwidth is used. This may result in insufficient bandwidth on one of the cards to enable normal operation. While using a card directly I would change the pcie bandwidth to gen2 for all cards. Then when you get your risers, I would change it back to auto. As WarwickNZ indicated; there are multiple pcie bandwidth related settings in the bios. There may also be an SLI setting that needs to be disabled as well. Have u managed to get it work?

Hey!
Thanks for guide. I mannaged to set all my 4 GPUs to be able to get overclocked, and to adjust fan speed.
But i have problem again like a guy before, but we didnt got clear answer.
When my miner starts (Claymoore dual miner) all my GPU-s go back to Level 2 performance. If they were on LV 3 their clock would be higher, their "base" clock. For example my card have 8000 memory clock when i add 400 to mem clock on level 2, on level 3 it would hav 8.4k and so on. Feels like i am not using my cards full potential.
How can i unlock LV 3 so they mine on that level.
Cheers!
I use ubuntu 16.04
Level 2 is automatic for Compute workloads as specified by Nvidia. Only gaming workloads will run at the higher memory clock automatically (Level 3). It's just the memory, that down-clocks - the originally release (last year) had heat issues running Micron memory ICs. This was fixed with bios update earlier this year, but the Compute memory down-clock has not been changed, because lot's of people have not updated their bios. LOL Ahh ok. I see. So it's not possible yet to get to level 3. Are there any other Linux tweaks possible to get higher speeds beside just slaming OC numbers? I run my MSI at +1400 from 2000 on memory clock. It's stable and not overheating, at around 40 celsius at 60% fan. I am wondering can i get full potential from all these GTX i have and plan to buy?

I tried one more time. Tried your oc.sh - the same errors. I can't set clock or fan speed. The same errors. Via Nvidia X Server Settings I also can't to set clocks or fans speed. Just read, or set PowerMizer profile. Is it ok? Maybe special configuration of MB bios? Maybe I must disable internal GPU and use NVIDIA? I tried to view available clocks via nvidia-smi and see that it is N/A. Is it normal? I am using MSI GTX1070 8G Gaming X. Maybe I need to flash some "unlocked bios" to change clocks?
I use 3x Asus Dual X 8GB OC version gtx 1070 and MSI 1070gtx gaming X My all cards work and i can OC them. I can put memory offsets and core offsets. I have ubuntu 16.04 It all worked after i did 4 lines of code: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers/ppa sudo apt update sudo apt install nvidia-370 nvidia-cuda-toolkit sudo nvidia-xconfig -a --cool-bits=31 --allow-empty-initial-configuration Altough i eventualy added newer drivers for nvidia and did some updates, but it worked like this also.
