You should check out the thread for G.SDICE, there is more information there.

Are you referring to this thread or is there another? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=102181.0

Thanks!

Oops, they were talking about it in the G.MPOE thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=144622.msg2556834#msg2556834
I will probably remove the trade suspension by tomorrow if everything goes as planned.
Right now it seems like all potential threats have been dealt with.

Temporary suspension of trading for user protection ?

S.Dice PT is also suspended. I asked Ukto about it on IRC and he said the suspension relates to site security / hacking.

<@Ukto>    PalePhoenix: lots of concerns over hackers lately
I am waiting a pending investigation,
once the investigation is over I will resume trading Smiley

Just a small update (things are going quite a bit slower than I had hoped), but there's progress.

We agreed on an escrow provider (John K.) an set up a contract which is in the process of being signed by everyone.

DeadTerra said he wont be able to ship the coins to me this week, but said he'll be able to next week.

Midsummer ^^
National holiday, everythings closed Tongue

I am working with molecular to get some kind of a deal where he can provide you guys with the coins Smiley
So that I can finish this venture with all happy customers.
It seems like retail is not really my thing, take to much time and is to much of a hassle ^^
Sorry for all the delays, I took a bit to much water over my head Tongue

I can't give a good ETA until I know when I have settled in with my new job.
It looks like I will have time to get this all together next weekend but I can't promise anything.

Let me (and jalaman) make an offer for the case that you wont find the necessary time this weekend:

We could ship up to 75 0.5 BTC coins on Monday to your customers provided we have a list of orders with shipping addresses and received a payment (I think we can find a fair price) until Sunday evening. 1 BTC and other coins would have to be shipped to Hamburg first (shouldn't take long from Sweden), but we would ship them the work-day after we receive them (prerequisite: payment and order list).

Our customers are generally happy about fast delivery and also about the product (thanks, Mike). For confirmation of customer satisfaction check our current sales thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=221343.0;all

That way, you still make a profit while being easy on your reputation, we also make a small profit and most importantly: your valued customers will receive their product without further unnecessary delay.

win-win-win, no?

I need to get some sleep but I am up to do some kind of a deal Smiley
Lets talk tomorrow.

I'm probably in sweden in two months, you better ship until then.  Grin

Well to be frank here is your feedback for now :

- Updates about estimated shipping have stopped completely.
- No ETA.
- No information on the website or in the start post about that this is just a side business and shipping is delayed until you have time.

Your defense that you provide this as a service to for the forum stands on a weak ground since it is was nowhere stated before.

I don't want a refund , i want a cascascius coin sold by Deadterra , one of the trustworthier members of this forum.

So please pull your shit together and do something.

Hi Smiley
The updates have stopped as I can't give a good update when nothings happening.
I can't give a good ETA until I know when I have settled in with my new job.
It looks like I will have time to get this all together next weekend but I can't promise anything.

I am not saying that the delays are okay, but I have explained them and said that I can't guarantee any shipment date and if you are uncomfortable with that then I can give you a refund. You are correct and I will stop sales until I have ensured that shipping can be guaranteed within a certain time frame.

I am sorry for the mess, I was at the time unaware of the changes that would be taking place, I thought I would have a lot of time on my hands and it showed that I have not Smiley

Sorry for the delay guys,
I am settling into a new job so I am working out how to balance a full time job with my side projects Smiley
I will try to be more on time next time.

Busy or not, It would be nice for some communication (and the ability to ship the product) . If he is too busy to ship to us then he shouldn't have offered the product for sale.

I really hope they are sent by friday this week.
I offer this as a favor to the community. I am not in it for profit, if you want faster and effecient shipping I recommend to pick another retailer as I have stated from the start.
If you want a refund just send me a pm and I will give it to you right away.
//DeaDTerra

I really love the fact that you offer this service. I still trust you, so I'll order one now Smiley
I am not looking to rip anyone off but this is a side project of mine and is not on the top of my priority list.
Hence there are some delays.

But since this pass through has over 15,000 shares, does that mean it will receive 3 of those mining boards?
I can answer this part: no. Only 1.
Speaking of which I've asked this a few times in the ASICMINER thread to no avail maybe you can help me here, but is there any update on when board members will actually be receiving these promised boards? When they started selling them I believed they would be arriving any day now or some announcement about it but no. The company is now valued at >100mil$ So I'm kindof curious as to what is causing the delay in rewarding board seats. I bought these as opposed to direct shares so as to get access to a small amount of extra hashrate from the pooled shares and if we aren't going to be getting any hardware I'm considering withdrawing to direct shares so dividends go straight to my bitcoin wallet instead of having to wait on Weexchange/pass through confirmations. (no offense intended DeaDterra I think you've done an excellent job on this passthrough and I've been very pleased owning shares) just don't see the benefit personally without the board member hardware as I'm not planning on selling soon so I don't really need the extra liquidity a passthrough provides.

+1, My rationale as well. Sent DeadTerra pm with all transfer info three days ago but he appears to be away or very busy these days. DeadTerra if you see this. I hope you are okay man.
I am fine, I have been celebrating my graduation and hence have been going from party to party, I haven't had time to get home and answer the PMs.
I will get to it in a bit Smiley
Sorry for the delay!

313  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnCMiner Openday Wednesday 5th & Monday 10th June on: June 06, 2013, 08:17:46 PM
An other question should be asked I think.

If everything goes fine and they can start producing, what will be the capacity of mass production? 10 20 50 miners a day? This would be important for shipping time...

PM the question! Wink
They basically said that production will not be a problem as the actual capacity of the Fab heavily out weighs the demand for the ASICs.
They plan to order enough chips to cover all the orders placed up to that point and a good margin more.
Then they will keep on ordering chips as needed.

Thats why Avalons had no problems at customs. They were paid in bitcoins. The package was shown as engineering sample, so you doesn't have to pay any tax. But there were a few problems with PSU-s wich ha real brand.

If you know what I mean....

YEEES, finally somebody who understand what I mean.)

so if KNC declare low price and describe product as some sample, all guys outside EU will pay lower, then guys inside EU, which are pushed to pay VAT from real price.
I see, but customs are not foolish, if something is unclear they will request for inovice, link of store and other data. If they find out that seller declared false value then buyer can have penalty or custom seizure item.
Its not so simple...
This question was taking up.
KnCMiner responded they do not do any weird stuff they want to be as legit as possible and have no wishes at all to fake any kind of customs report etc.

As the Swede I feel responsible for explaining this weird phenomena.
When Swedes graduate at third year of Gymnasium,
We celebrate that we now are unemployed and without a job by jumping on a big truck, half naked, spraying beer on each other and everything that moves while listening to loud music.
It is just a normal day in Sweden xD
//DeaDTerra

maybe graduating from the university would make it easier to get a job??
Yep Tongue
Which is why it feels a bit weird celebrating after gymnasium. I guess it is stuck from the old times when almost no one had higher education.
//DeaDTerra

Trust me, UK wise; graduating from university does not mean it's easier to get a job! Grrr...

It guarantees a lifetime of debt though!!
Not in Sweden ^^

You guys are sounding like you have their ASICs already. Did I miss something?

No, some lads attended the open day and came back reassured.

Still a risk in designing a 28nm ASIC, but apparently design work has already been completed somewhat.

Confidence has increased, but start-up risks apply...

Just great to see the parties involved exceeded expectations.
Please note that the design has been done does not mean that the final product will work xD
Things can still go to hell.

Can't believe it took 100 pages!:

KnC and ORSoC will be sitting down after dinner hoping to see a discussion about today's open day events, but instead...Grin

That is one sexy pole! I knew that KnC wasn't a scam from the get-go, but somebody had to play Devil's advocate.
I can say that you were mentioned and the KnCMiner guys recognized that you serve a useful purpose and that your service is needed in this community and they wanted to thank you for it.
Without you, we would be like a flock of sheep without a Sheppard xD
//DeaDTerra

No mate, I just stood back, observed, researched, did due diligence and then stood back and sized it up again...

It's my cash to be risked, as much as anyone else's, in most cases I know due to the nature of some of the work i've done, i've physically struggled harder for it than most(if you knew some of the crazy things I've done since leaving Uni)...so it's exceptionally more painful for me to be irresponsible with it!

Aside from that there was lots of noise from people who have been burnt on this board and obviously distrustful, but then there are scams and there are genuine people the trick is;

IF...

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Rudyard Kipling

You guys are sounding like you have their ASICs already. Did I miss something?
Didn't you hear they gave out a Jupiter to each person that was there, it was awesome ^^

318  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnCMiner Openday Wednesday 5th & Monday 10th June on: June 05, 2013, 09:29:41 PM
I noticed that on their linux machine, they even had a seperate console utility to monitor the status of all the FPGAs (temp, current, power usage etc), this means that they have a whole suite of FPGA related design platform, and they just fit bitcoin's hashing function into that platform

And they said they are not going to have an ASIC prototype, just replace the FPGA with standard cell ASIC and direct go for mass production. I think this is risky, without a prototype, how can they sure all the heat and power usage fall in a reasonable level? Unless they have done this many times before, they might encounter what BFL experienced last year

Why u dont ask them?
He did, they said something in the lines of that it is a linear progression from the FPGA.
And that you can make some basic calculations to estimate both the watt and the hashing power based on the FPGA performance (as I understood it).
