301  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT - Easy persistent USB key based linux for dedicated miners/mining farms on: December 22, 2011, 08:25:32 PM
yeah just tried them at that setting n still no budging them past 330m/h

i even tried to take 1 card out just to see if it'd push 2 5970's past that n still nothing...

is the voltage set higher? i got them at 1.125
302  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT - Easy persistent USB key based linux for dedicated miners/mining farms on: December 22, 2011, 07:44:47 PM
anyone running BAMT with 3 5970's

what is ur current mh/s per gpu?

im only getting 305 mh/s atm... wondering if thats as high as they will go, i was pushing 380-400 per gpu in win7 with MSI AB...

if u are getting anything near the 400mh/s i'd like to know what is needed to be done to get them there.

If a solution is presented to me, i will provide btc's in return for the helpful insight  Grin

305 mh/s seems low to me, so any help would be great, or reasoning as to why im only able to get them to that.

First you need to check what clock your card are running at,  often time the GPU will fallback to 550mhz for a second when VRM are overheating.

I've two on a rig doing 368 (x4) at 800mhz,   The link from 800mhz to 368 scale linearly with any 5870-clock,

Do you use phatk2 ?, did you apply all fixes ?

i have them at 800mhz on my 5970s

running phatk2+all fixes  Undecided

maybe its too much to have 3 5970's on 1 1300w?

i'll donate 10 now if anyone cares to help me over the previous mentioned...

and another 10 or more after :-)

i've tried everything n can only get my 5970's up to 330m/h's

kind of under performing atm...

n i have about 12 rigs moving at that pace... not by choice ofcourse  Roll Eyes

i also added the needed GPUx sections to the initial pop up so that all my gpu's are active... and disable was set to 0 on all, not sure if any of this matters but figured id mention it, since it wasnt much else that i did to set it up.

im trying to figure all this out since its new to me.

but im not sure why my screen goes blank when the GPU's fire up.

i currently have 6gpu's (3 5970's) running...

and im not sure if i have the pool file setup correctly...

and since the screen goes blank im not sure how to get passed that to even correct it, so if i have to rebuild it n set it all back up correctly im fine, but would like to know what i need to do so that it doesnt happen...

just wondering this..if not what is the best solution, as i dont have a near direct connection to internet in the garage.

i would hate to have to drill holes in walls n run a 50ft ethernet cable to a router near the rigs lol....

^thanx for the info... and the heads up on the complications, i figured as much, so i guess my next step is to find some suitable usb sticks...

i was looking at these, they seem the best price for what they are, not sure if theres a better deal?

or a better brand i should be looking at,

i will make the check list for my future endeavours  Roll Eyes

318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 4 ati 5970's on msi 890 on: November 10, 2011, 11:40:30 PM
interesting... let me know how it works, cuz i have about 7 rigs i plan on adding in 3x5970's... on 1300w psu's each rig... if i can have room to run 4x5970's ima do it... since i have 22 5970's i need to get running, lol...

i have to get some thumbdrives to run BAMT first tho, since i got Win7 on hdd's at the moment...
319  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 4 ati 5970's on msi 890 on: November 10, 2011, 10:29:50 PM
not sure if that will cover 4 5970's respectably as far as OC'n them

i plan on running my rigs on BAMT w/ 3x 5970's on 1 1300w rosewill lightning. and to me thats close...

let me know how that works out for u tho.
320  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone install BAMT on a HDD? on: November 10, 2011, 10:16:39 PM
yeah, that is very true indeed about the electical load lol...

i might have to make that sacrifice to get this going tho, as i'd rather have 3x5970's running then not... lol.
