301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: November 04, 2023, 12:01:48 PM
Yes, that's a well known fact. It's funny at the same time because as you said it's good that you experienced it when you were young.
At least you didn't lose a lot of money that way  Grin

Yes, even though my gambling addiction occurred during my student years and I spent my pocket money gambling during my student years. I definitely think I was lucky because of this situation. Frankly, I think that if I were addicted to gambling and spent my salary gambling especially in these periods when I have a fixed salary, I would definitely feel very bad and have a very difficult time economically. Even though we feel bad in such situations because we are in a bad phase of our lives but it is definitely a great thing that such addictions were smaller and didn't occur in times when our financial status were not good.
302  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Using a Credit Card Demonstrate Financial Literacy? on: November 04, 2023, 06:55:46 AM
Financial intelligence is demonstrated in how we handle our financial responsibility and how we place our scales of preference on things that we tend as necessity, want and also what we classify as luxuries because you can afford to be luxurious with debt and at most, the only reason to take loans should be for starting up something new,  and that thing being able to service the loan on it own,  so why then should I spend too much using a credit card that I know is not my money and also I get heavy interest on that money,  and if that be the case then I will only spend the amount I know I will be able to afford to on my own,  that is the reason I prefer using cash or my own bank cards mostly debits cards.

I have never had a credit card all my life,  and I don't intend to have any for a long time probably forever,  because I will make sure to build my expenses around my budget and income per month.

Financial responsibility is definitely about how one should manage one's budget but it is also necessary to gain experience to be aware of financial responsibility and shape it. Of course, the use of credit card debt or loan debt will vary from person to person but the important point is how a person will control this debt. For example, buying a car with a credit card can be considered a luxury expense but making money by using this car and paying off the car's debt depends entirely on the financial intelligence of the person. On the other hand, as I mentioned in my previous comment, the correct use of credit card helps to purchase luxury consumer products more easily. For example, paying in installments in a currency with a high inflation rate actually helps to obtain the purchased service or product at a lower cost and helps to obtain it more easily compared to paying in installments.

Of course, it is your choice not to have a credit card for the rest of your life and not to think about having one for the rest of your life. Who knows, maybe if you had a credit card you might have been paying credit card debt continuously for years. I think that people who are especially interested in luxury consumer products and who cannot achieve financial control should definitely not have a credit card.

There is documentation on every money that is requested from government to be printed by the central bank, they can't print not until there is a information from above and before the printing, the government has to provide a collateral or asked for a loan which they can promise to be repaid back.

The government is like a business person to the central bank, they cannot have anything they want from the central Bank except they want the country to be ruin by inflation or hyper inflation. There must be an agreement before any currency are printed.

Unfortunately, the situation you mentioned isn't valid in today's conditions because all governments continue to print money without collateral citing economic conditions. Especially in the last three years so much money was printed without collateral that unfortunately many countries didn't and cannot show any reserve for these amounts.

Although until a few years ago many countries used gold reserves or a similar collateral to print money, unfortunately, this situation has changed in today's conditions. It has now become known to everyone that all countries print and continue to print money without any reserve or collateral. Unfortunately, the old rules and order are outdated and today this order is being re-formed depending on economic conditions.
304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much could you earn in a day ? on: November 03, 2023, 08:45:41 PM
when traders evaluate the losses they experience, it will grow their skills and experience in the next trade. for beginners I just want to suggest trying a little and upgrading your skills more. Because losses cannot be avoided, then properly manage the finances that will be used for trading. Experience is important, but don't be too ambitious to pursue your own experience. because experience can also be gained from other people without having to experience it yourself. asking lots of questions and listening to advice is a great start for any beginner looking to progress in crypto trading.

Experience in financial markets is definitely strengthened and gained by correctly analyzing unsuccessful transactions and making mistakes learned from the results of this analysis. This is a constant for many people both experienced and beginners. Of course, it will be easier for someone who has previous experience to understand these mistakes and obtain a new experience by analyzing them but basically experience is learned through mistakes. For this reason, it is very important to carry out risk and capital management well and to carry out transactions again after gaining experience.

It shouldn't be forgotten that experience is as important as knowledge in order to be successful in the financial markets and is a very important building block for achieving success. Additionally, gaining experience is also possible by analyzing the mistakes made by other people and asking these people questions. Of course, although this doesn't provide as much benefit as the person's own experience, it prevents potential mistakes and helps the person obtain information more easily.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and it effects on: November 03, 2023, 06:18:00 PM
that might make more sense because today young generation is too ambitious when gambling no matter what other people suggest or say because the minds of today young generation gamblers only think about winning from gambling instantly and unconsciously they become addicted.

maybe the method you say can be more helpful because even though we are experienced gamblers they will not listen to what we suggest and it is better to provide a way to bet responsibly and consider this just entertainment, winnings are just bonuses.
on the one hand it would be better if we had a good approach to provide a healthy mindset towards gambling by telling how gambling works it might also help a little.

Yes, unfortunately, today many people with gambling addiction gamble constantly, thinking that it is possible to have a winnings only from gambling and focusing on this. Of course, since this is just a thought and there is a possibility of losing as much as winning in gambling, gambling addiction occurs when many people gamble more to regain the money they lost. For this reason, it would be useful to inform people especially young people, who have just started gambling about what gambling is like and to remind them that the probability of losing in gambling is quite high.

Young people have already been hooked on gambling components in games such as Dota 2 and CS, where there are boxes from which skins of varying degrees of rarity drop out for weapons or for heroes. On the one hand, it’s good that young people are getting their first experience in this with a lack of money, they simply won’t be able to buy a lot of boxes. On the other hand, this can have a bad effect on the psyche of young people and subsequently resurface at a later age with aggravation. You can also add that anyone who wants it could have a way to lose money, which certainly also has some truth.

Yes, unfortunately, in today's conditions gambling isn't only in physical or online casinos and betting offices but also in the games we play on a daily. This causes young individuals to become involved in gambling at least in some way. Although it is possible to get the gambling experience without spending much on chance boxes or similar games based on chance within the game, unfortunately, this situation not only pushes many young children away from gambling but also encourages them to gamble.
306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you any of pump groups or Channel ? on: November 03, 2023, 01:25:28 PM
Pump group? Man! You have to be careful, I have friends who have lost a lot from such groups. Although, I don't know how legit this one is, you have to be careful. Is best you get insights yourself from any coin you wish to buy. Even Binance, Bitget and some other exchanges do give insights into coins that do well. You can start from there if you wish

It is quite normal to have friends who trade and lose money based on the recommendations in Telegram groups or channels because usually the main purpose of these groups and channels is to defraud unconscious investors. I would like to explain how the system works in some channels or groups by giving a brief example of an event I have witnessed before;

First of all, a cryptocurrency with a very low transaction volume is detected by group or channel admins. Admins then cause the price to move upwards with purchases of just a few hundred dollars making it appear as if the cryptocurrency is gaining value. In the next stage, the name of this cryptocurrency is shared with the members of the paid group and as these people purchase it the price increases further. In this way, admins make a profit with the current position. In the last stage, the name of this cryptocurrency is shared with the members of the free group and when these people purchase it the price reaches its peak. In this way, while the admins maximize the profit margin, the members of the paid group earn profits by buying and selling the specified cryptocurrency but the members in the free group are defrauded because they buy from the peak and the transaction volume of the cryptocurrency is almost zero in normal conditions.

In summary, almost 99.5% of the time, such groups or channels generally defraud people who just want to benefit from it for free. For this reason, I definitely don't belong to such channels or groups and when I see any signals like this I don't take them seriously.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: November 03, 2023, 09:01:01 AM
Since you said you became addicted to gambling and used your entire pocket money for betting if you would have continued betting then you would have done the same as an adult.
It's good that you were able to give up the gambling addiction because it would have ruined your life otherwise.
This shows how easy it is to get started with gambling and get addicted to it while how difficult it is to leave this habit.

I definitely feel lucky because even though I thought I would have more money and gamble more during the period I mentioned, I actually feel very lucky that I experienced this addiction during my student years and didn't reach a threshold that could be considered a crisis due to not having enough money or income. Also, as someone who had a gambling addiction before but managed to overcome it I would like to remind that it is very easy to become addicted to gambling but it is very difficult to get rid of this addiction and I support your last sentence with this thought.

I agree with you that gambling is not possible without knowledge and less experience leads to more risk. Sports betting requires a lot of knowledge To understand sports betting you should be familiar with the betting types and markets. Betting on game dust often varies from place to place so make sure you familiarize yourself with the types of bets and markets available for sports betting before you put your money on the line or else you risk losing more money than making money. Betting on game dust often varies from place to place.

Although gambling is an expensive form of fun I also agree that it requires knowledge and experience depending on the type. Especially for gambling with sports betting, it is very important to have information about the preferred sport to have information about the preferred teams and to know what the preferred betting results are depending on the matches. Thinking that sports bets with very low odds have a high probability of winning and placing sports bets accordingly often causes the person to lose. Therefore, I think that gambling should not be done without knowledge and experience especially in options that require knowledge and experience such as sports betting.

You have a good point, man. Football is one of the top-rated games in the world and I believe that more people win based on the options they pick or their predictions from football, because football has more options than other games in casinos, but still I have no doubt that winning doesn't come all the time in gambling. Some days are meant for gamblers to lose, and some days are meant for gamblers to win, and still it isn't a good idea for gamblers to over gamble just to recover the lost ones (it's going to make them lose more).

Yes, football is a type of sport that has a much wider betting scale compared to other sports and is generally known as the most followed type of sport. For this reason, many people prefer football for sports betting.

Of course, gambling isn't something that can always be winnable and when many people gamble, unfortunately, they only focus on winnings. Naturally, after losing a bet gambling addiction occurs when the person continues gambling by making more ambitious mistakes in order to regain the money he/she lost. Everyone who gambles should know that in gambling there is as much chance of losing as there is of winning and the chain of gain or loss never lasts forever.

309  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't Fiat the Real Ponzi on: November 02, 2023, 08:39:27 PM
Local currencies are controlled by a single central authority and don't have any maximum supply or reserve requirements. This, of course means that local currencies carry risks but it would not be right to make an analogy with the Ponzi system. Yes, one day this system will change and perhaps fiat currency will disappear from our lives completely but in this case I still think it isn't right to compare it to a ponzi system.

On the other hand, when we think of fiat currencies it shouldn't be forgotten that although there is a possibility that they may lose value, their supply is increased to an unlimited extent because they are controlled by a single central authority. In other words, since the probability of the value of fiat currencies being equal to zero in today's conditions is very low, there doesn't seem to be a point where this system will be blocked, just like the Ponzi system.

As I have previously stated in similar comments, it doesn't make sense for any Telegram group or channel to share such signals especially for free and generally such Telegram groups or channels are completely fraudulent. Yes, if a community is powerful, it can cause the prices of some cryptocurrencies to rise in the cryptocurrency markets or a community can make a prediction about any potential insider news before the price rise occurs. Although these are possible possibilities such Telegram groups or channels have generally caused many users to be defrauded.

If a bullish signal is given by a community or source you really trust, you should definitely conduct your own analysis about the cryptocurrency in question before evaluating it and get a result that supports this signal.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this how it start? (No or yes?) on: November 02, 2023, 03:36:01 AM
Have you been in such situations before? I foremost, asked this question because I haven't done this before. Today I was just doing nothing but sitting down in the sitting room watching TV, but I wasn't comfortable. Then I fund my betting account (hoping to have fun) with $10 but, unfortunately for me, I lost the whole money without winning just a dime. It was not the first time for me to lose money on gambling (but I am not a regular gambler), then I fund another $10, so finally, finally, I still lost the other money I deposited, and I was like asking myself how? When did I even fund another money in this account? why I am surprised is because I haven't funded into my betting account twise in a day after losing done money, so am I becoming an addict? No.

Considering the situation you mentioned it wouldn't be correct to say that you are addicted to gambling if you experience this situation only once but if this situation repeats constantly it is possible to easily say that you are addicted to gambling. When this situation occurs once, it may be due to momentary psychology or boredom but as I mentioned if it continues frequently it will be possible to say that it is a gambling addiction.

When I think about the time when I was addicted to gambling, I remember that the days when I deposited money into my account over and over again were actually somewhat involuntary just to win back the money I had lost. As I mentioned, if this feeling occurs frequently and you continue to gamble by frequently transferring money to your account it will undoubtedly be possible to say that you are a gambling addict but if it is a one-time thing it isn't right to say that you are a gambling addict.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most you have ever lost in one session? on: November 01, 2023, 10:25:12 PM
What is the most money you have ever lost in one session? could be land base casino or crypto casino.

mine was $200,000 on Stake.com 2 weeks ago

The amount you mentioned is quite high, I even wonder what I would do if I lost this amount myself because unfortunately with my budget in today's conditions it isn't possible to cover such a high amount of loss. Of course, someone who has experienced this loss either has the ability to cover this amount or loses it in gambling after obtaining this money through debt or similar means due to gambling addiction. However, due to my own gambling discipline I don't gamble with borrowed money or the like this and in this way I have no chance of betting an amount that I cannot afford.

To answer this question about myself, the biggest amount I lost with a single bet was 2 Bitcoins in 2015. Of course, although it didn't have much value at that time, I wanted to talk about it because it had a very high value both in previous bull periods and today. Apart from this bet, since I usually bet between 10 and 150 USD most of the bets I lost had a maximum value of 150 USD.
313  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Using a Credit Card Demonstrate Financial Literacy? on: November 01, 2023, 03:51:35 PM
Unfortunately, the use of credit cards can negatively affect a person financially if he or she does so without self-control and control over his or her spendings. When I first had a credit card, I started to make many of my expenses using my credit card and unfortunately it caused me to have some financial difficulties because it had a higher limit than my salary. Afterwards, I started to control myself and my expenses and turned the situation into an advantage since it had the Turkish Lira currency.

Nowadays, since I live in a European country and get paid my salary in Euros, I make some of my expenses with my credit card and pay them in installments. In this way, I pay installments in Turkish Lira and protect myself against inflation due to the constant depreciation of the Turkish Lira and I purchase many products below my cost despite the interest paid.

In summary, it is possible to turn credit card use into an advantage with correct use but if it is not used correctly credit card use can cause a huge financial chaos or collapse.
314  Local / Alternatif Kripto-Paralar / Re: yeni boğanın tarihi ! on: October 31, 2023, 08:35:49 PM

315  Local / Alternatif Kripto-Paralar / Re: Bir sonraki boğanın yıldızları olacak AI coinler. on: October 31, 2023, 04:45:22 PM
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: October 31, 2023, 10:23:09 AM
I see a lot of people here talking about gambling responsibly. Yes, that is something very true, but have you ever been a gambling addict?

Yes, when I first started gambling I started gambling a lot because I could make very good predictions of football results. Especially during this period because I was making very successful predictions, many of the bets I placed were successful and I was making quite good profits. Of course, since this was the case I started gambling constantly and became a gambling addict. As time progressed, I started to increase my bet amounts so as I started to lose I started gambling more to win again. Later, this situation reached the level of addiction and unfortunately my gambling addiction continued for a while.

Nowadays, I have learned to control myself while gambling and I gamble only for fun. When I think about my current experience and the past, I understand what a mistake I made and how bad gambling addiction is so I don't think I will encounter gambling addiction again.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What according to you should be the age to retire from gambling ? on: October 30, 2023, 08:57:06 PM
Gambling is an expensive hobby and fun method that has no limits other than the age limit specified by law and can be preferred by older people. Therefore, there is no age limit to stop gambling and older people can also gamble. When we look at the player base especially in physical casinos, the fact that there are more older than young individuals shows that many older people don't move away from gambling due to their age.

Although there is no maximum age limit for gambling, I think it should only be played in cases where the person doesn't feel bad in case of loss, doesn't lose himself/herself in gambling addiction and doesn't harm himself/herself by getting too excited. Since gambling causes a person to get excited or feel bad, only those who are not suitable for it should stay away from gambling when they get older.
318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: October 30, 2023, 01:56:37 PM
Yes, loneliness is a situation that can cause a person to gamble because a lonely person is constantly looking for different activities to spend time with it. If someone only states that they don't gamble for recreational purposes it is also possible to say that this person has a gambling addiction. If a person relieves boredom by gambling when he is alone with loneliness and continues to gamble all day long, of course his gambling addiction will gradually progress.

In addition, if we consider the current situation of this person, if he continues to have high losses in gambling he will begin to be affected worse psychologically and will be in a worse situation than his current situation. For this reason, it wouldn't be a good thing for him to show interest only in gambling under the excuse of loneliness.
319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you had AI day trade bitcoin to make profits on: October 30, 2023, 08:41:10 AM
How would one do so efficiently? I am very interested.

I definitely don't prefer to trade cryptocurrencies analyzed by AI without technically analyzing them myself. Yes, according to its working logic AI can make very fast and good predictions or analysis but it shouldn't be forgotten that none of the AI's can produce perfect answers in today's conditions. AI, which obtains new information with the information provided to it just like a human doesn't yet have the capacity to make a completely reliable analysis. Moreover, as its popularity increases today many AI states that they cannot provide direct financial analysis and recommendations but it is also possible to obtain these analyzes indirectly.

To trade with AI analysis, I think the investment or trade advice offered by the AI should definitely be analyzed well and traded that way if it makes sense. When trading cryptocurrencies, everyone is responsible for controlling their own capital and should never be traded with the advice of an AI or person. It is always necessary to analyze the results obtained in more detail and then take action.
320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think about WhiteBit exchange? on: October 29, 2023, 11:13:57 PM
What do you think about WhiteBit exchange?  please share your experience - is it  secure? I heard 96% of all assets are stored on cold wallets.

Unfortunately, I don't know much about the exchange in question nor have I gained any experience using it. For this reason, it wouldn't be right to make a clearly negative or positive comment about it. However, it would be useful to mention some general information to consider when choosing a cryptocurrency exchange;

- First of all, it is very important for a business that provides cryptocurrency services to store a large portion of its assets in cold wallets because all assets shouldn't be at risk in the event of a possible hack.
- It is also very important to have information about the founder and team of this service. Even though we use this service we shouldn't forget that we are entrusting our money to it. At this point, I would like to remind you that the important thing is to know to whom we entrust our money.
- The community of the service in question is also a very important criterion because unfortunately, it isn't possible to generate transaction volume and gain reputation without the support of a good community.

In summary, it is very important to consider all the factors I mentioned above before choosing an exchange to conduct cryptocurrency transactions. It is essential to ensure not just one of these factors but all of them if possible.
