301  Economy / Economics / Re: hackers becoming smarter than exchanges? on: September 07, 2018, 04:48:08 AM
MT gox was the probably the beginning of a new time era.
After that we had seen things are slowly turning ugly and they saying still holds "only invest what you can afford to loose".
Regulations bans and more things going on and each day hackers are trying out new things with more focussed approach.
Bancor bithtumb and still going on. Embarrassed

few days back also heard news about cryptolocker malware.
Mining and working on a same computer probably increases the risk of getting compromised.
302  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Zebpay, simplest bitcoin wallet available now on Play Store on: September 07, 2018, 04:00:57 AM
Indian Cryptocurrency Exchange Zebpay Plans to Return All User's Money

on September 4, 2018, Zebpay - one of the leading crypto exchanges of India made an announcement about the Rupee Balances of Users stating that the exchange is overwhelmed with the extraordinary support of users since 4 years, while also expressing their responsibility towards the users.

After RBI issued a circular to stop all the crypto-trading services and the related banking transactions in India, Zebpay was forced to ask its users to withdraw their balances within a certain allowable period of time. This move highly affected the Zebpay users and the exchange as well.

The situation remains quite the same in India, as the withdrawing banking support still prevails. However, the exchange took a responsible action for its users and made an announcement to return all of its user's money. Zebpay stated:

"We could hide behind the stalemate that has been imposed upon our industry owing to the RBI action, but we choose not to do so. Today we are announcing our intent to work with our bankers, and return all the money (Indian Rupee) that you have sent us for purposes of trading. Not doing so would make us feel like we are holding you hostage, and that is not a good feeling. When this happens, all your outstanding INR-related orders will be cancelled, and your rupees returned to your bank account."

Commenting on the Future, Zebpay is convinced that Blockchain... To continue reading click here.

Really glad you shared the news and one more latest update is that they had stopped TRUE USD trading.
As stated zebpay does not use and never had used the p2p platform in its exchanges so trading was quite fast.
But one thing the prices were always high.
I don't think the people who were holding money and couldn't withdraw had already transferred their funds through true usd by gladly/voluntarily buying TUSD at high price because when the news came and panic started i don't think people waited for this day.
And as the supreme court decision is on the way just a few days to go,making such announcements will rarely do any benefit to the users.
Its just a simple way/strategy to remain in good note and keep its customer base.

As soon as they published this news they made the prices far below the prices listed in other exchanges.
So if any people had stuck with any crypto they too have to now sell in lower price.

ITS nothing just simple business.

Have a nice day all.
303  Local / India / Re: Future Policy of Cryptocurrency in India on: September 04, 2018, 01:41:53 AM
One more news regarding the cryptocurrency

https://cointelegraph.com/news/india-sends-officials-to-us-japan-and-switzerland-to-study-cryptocurrency-and-icos

It is quite obvious that seeing the current trend RBI has to be more liberal rather than being totally adament.
New traders and investors are daily pouring in crypto.
Already many retailers in NE state have been using crypto as a mode irrespective of all the ban and all.
Its future technology which is neither illegal and nor can be stopped seeing the current scenario.

So just a few more days to go for the coming fork and the Supreme court decision.

Notebandi karke toh ghanta hua
All the currency banned came back again in the system with a surplus amount  Tongue,it was just a total waste giving rise to a number of scams which still now haven't been recovered yet.
Banning will simply use money laundering thousand folds.
304  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do we complain when the market is down? on: September 02, 2018, 02:51:04 PM
One more fork is soon coming and at the present moment I can see price is gradually rising.
So I guess its time to trade rather than complaing Shocked
305  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Do you heard any indian launch cryptocurrency in India ? on: September 02, 2018, 02:40:14 PM
I had not really seen something like that coming to act or working but had seen face to face experience with one of the retails few weeks back who is working Assam and uses Nucleus Vision and tells me that it helped him a bit.

But as we all know still regulations and policies are about to be implemented a few days left,so lets see.

Few posts to gain some more insights :

Lakhmicoin Jiocoin all were just simple speculations.

It is very obvious that some cryptocurrency will be launched soon may be after one more notebandhi  Tongue Tongue
Afterall Gujrat had been once hub of all scams in the past and merchants need to set up their dhandha and evade tax. Tongue
306  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Mining investment on: September 01, 2018, 02:44:35 PM
Hi,
I reside in rural area where electricity is very cheep but no better access of internet.I use 4G or GIO internet connection. I heard that high speed internet connection is required like broadband etc.Kindly guide me if there is any option with above mentioned internet speed for mining bitcoin or altcoins.
Yes, internet connectivity is important to miners. You need to have a FUP plan, that means a no limit plan, preferably with a speed of 1mbps or more. You Jio connection is limited to say like 1.5 GB per day. Now I don't what are the exact numbers of mining rigs internet usage, but I would not setup using limited internet plans like Jio offers.

Hope this helps.

Yes indeed 24 hours uninterrupted power supply with  high speed internet(always unlimited plan) are most basic things.
And to add more :
  • ASIC/GPU cutting edge technology to reduce power consumption
  • Also FPGA(preferrable)
  • Never go for any cloud mining service unless you are 100% sure

307  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think of India on: September 01, 2018, 02:15:58 PM
When poeple say about India, i think about rape country. According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) 2013 annual report, 24,923 rape cases were reported across India in 2012.

Good to know, that is first thing came in your mind.

In field of psychology, people most often use words associated with illness, helping people, and treatment. Very rarely do people spontaneously mention anything about research on mind, brain or behavior.

308  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Looking for miners on: August 31, 2018, 05:01:16 PM
Welcome to crypto community my friend.....I see you have only two(2) activity.
My personal suggestion is that please wait for 1-2 months then take a decision.
I would suggest you to gain as much knowledge as you can then start something new.

https://www.bitdegree.org/tutorials/monero-mining/

this thread may help you gaining some insight into monero.
And our infrastructure is improving day by day and definitely you will have to look for cheap power supply and regulations that are to be imposed soon.

Mining always has been a speculative and risky work.
But perks are also associated with it.

Because you need to choose a coin and henceforth a pool which is genuine.
In some pools pay the less also there have been reports that sometimes malware had been induced in your own computer,So its better to do thorough research and then jump into something.Everyday we learn something new.
I too had been looking for setting up a small firm of my own.
And in our country you had to go through with usage policy and many other things.

a few more days to go after that we can get exact report about crypto status only then people can plan forward.

Bitcoin is still viewed as an alternative asset class, still a long way to go.

There are many threads to start with to gain knowledge I too do the same.

You can approximate calculate the coins you can mine/profit

have a nice day.
309  Local / Press & News from India / Re: Can cryptocurrency survive RBI's ban? on: August 31, 2018, 03:37:32 PM
Found one post regarding the RBI and crypto

https://qz.com/india/1374298/rbi-fears-its-bitcoin-and-cryptocurrency-crackdown-may-backfire/

Already RBI has formed its own crypto research unit,so I guess it had already started framing/revising regulations and hope the news will be good.
Because simply banning will increase money laundering. One more news link I had shard about feasibility:

https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/economy/policy/rbi-panel-to-study-feasibility-of-digital-currency/articleshow/65601646.cms

Blockchain / P2P this is something which people can't ignore neither they can stop,it can only be regulated.
310  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do we complain when the market is down? on: August 31, 2018, 03:27:28 PM
People who came in crypto december 2017 will generally complain because they actually missed the bull rain Tongue Tongue

News news news and news keep yourself updated and I guess slowly people will understand and will be able to judge when the prices will rise and fall.
If that is not the case please stick to normal slow and steady day-trading....soon you will have something rather than nothing or complaining .
Look for small hard forks/bounty/airdrops and you will definitely earn something.
Be optimistic and happy trading all.

Enjoy.
311  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Looking for miners on: August 31, 2018, 03:21:57 PM
Making incomplete posts is not a good sign.
Looking for miners.........HuhHuh??
Everything is missing in your post...
What coin are you looking forward to mine ?
Do you have equipments/hardware ?
have you made exel sheet or something showing the ROI you require to achieve or plan to achieve.......
Making such posts for the sake of increasing activity/rank will take you nowhere....

have a nice day.

  • Ask for your otp or something else will start using remote tools
  • And then will change your password and settings
  • An will say some technical error
  • A test fake mail will be generated and say your account is in rectification mode

317  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase got hacked??? on: August 29, 2018, 05:46:09 PM
I guess its nothing but fud.
there are no evidences about the incident happened moreover many details are missing.
I would suggest you to use 3/4 different wallets that will of course minimize your loss.
And most important thing I personally do not believe because I had more than one coinbase wallet since 2013 and till now its working fine.
It keeps the record of each and every details of login quoting your IP address each time.

I guess either this is some phising attack or something like that or you didn't set up your account security.
Next time enable all 2fa/google authenticator/mail log in etc.

318  Local / India / Re: Future Policy of Cryptocurrency in India on: August 29, 2018, 05:31:49 PM
Finance minister Arun Jaitley, in his budget speech in February this year, announced plans to adopt blockchain in different areas. He said, “The government will explore the use of blockchain technology proactively for ushering in the digital economy.”

According to yesterdays news[28 Aug'18] RBI Sets Up Blockchain And Cryptocurrency Research Unit

So don't panic there will be ups and downs, problems and solutions also.
Many sources have even said that cryptocurrency will be seen as commodity and the trade will go on but with few policy and agency monitoring.

September 11 is the judgement and many of us are still confused after having so many petitions and RTI Act.
Lets hope for the best.
319  Local / India / Re: How do I sell Bitcoin in India? on: August 29, 2018, 05:25:52 PM
IIRC, RBI banned crypto transactions and now I am not allowed to withdraw money into my bank account after selling them. I have a few Bitcoins, and want to sell 0.84 BTC atm, how should I sell it legally?

You are a full member registered more than 2 years ago and still thinking how you will deal with this.
As stated by fellow member localbitcoins is a great place to start with.
Also there are exchanges supporting both withdrawals and deposits in different ways.
Now say for example bitbns exchange is using both P2P and deposit/withdrawal through bidforx try that it will hardly take 24-48 hours before it shows in your legal bank account.Make your kyc and do not use btc/crypto or any remarks there while making transaction.

If you are still unable to go through with it.
PM me i will buy some of it.

Happy trading stay safe.scammers are on the loose, never use telegram/whatsapp or any place to troubleshoot your problems of an exchange.
create ticket and direct support.

Cheers.
320  Local / India / Re: Vishal Gupta is creating an exchange that gives back 70% commission to users on: August 29, 2018, 05:19:06 PM
once again.........well part time traders like me will get little benefit after the scam operation
I can buy few coins after the project collapses and dumps all in some exchange.prices will go down... Wink

Don't run for quick money be stable and only invest hat you can afford to loose.

All the best.
