301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: October 08, 2023, 11:27:31 PM
So, question to you, did you ever consider paying taxes on your gambling winnings, or deduct the taxes with the losses you've created? If not, what is the reasoning behind it?

If I'm well aware that there should be a tax on part of the winnings and that was stated in the Terms of Service of the site, I would comply with it.

However it should be only applied to local gambling sites and not global sites. I mean, why should I pay taxes for gambling sites outside my country?

It just common to see tax applied on gambling winnings especially those regulated by the government.
302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: October 08, 2023, 10:23:05 PM
The key is not controlling your budget or knowing how to play only with money you can lose. The main thing is not to become mentally addicted to gambling, when you will have thoughts only that you can win, for example, doubling your bet. If you begin to think about winning and not about pleasure, then you begin to addiction to gambling.

Sounds easy to say but if you are in the actual situation, you can't withstand it.

Winning will really pump us to the point that we will push our luck to its limit. We continue to play especially when winning because we want to take chances and the opportunity that luck is now. It's like why should we stop when luck is currently on our side? Just continue.

Then that's the critical part, we don't realize that we are now falling on trap of gambling and that's the point it test us being a responsible gambler
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: October 08, 2023, 10:08:30 PM
Good point nothing else to learn just start the game and hope for luck to come your way, if you are lucky then you might get something decent or maybe to the point that you will win huge, but if not expect that it will take numbers of clicks then all your bankroll will be suck out by the game and you will end up empty-handed.

That's how slot games are supposed to be, wait, sit back, relax, enjoy, and hope for the luck to come.

In the case of OP, it refers to sports betting, and aside from the luck, to win decently here, it needs huge odds.

The best example is, doing a parlay with multiple matches in a bet. It can boost the odds however, don't expect that it's an easy win.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 07, 2023, 11:58:35 PM
And there are also many wrong strategies that Chot made recently that the team should win but always loses in the end. As for this Tim cone, he only touched it for a short period of time, and it was positive that he immediately did what he did in team glory and was able to bring home gold right away. Anyway, thank you, Team Gilas. You are really good. Long live.

Because Coach Tim was focused more on coaching PBA, he knows every well what would be the effective strategy for our locals.

Since most Gilas' roster are PBA players, Coach Tim finds a way to know the best spot where he assigned a certain player.

And coaching Justin Brownlee in Ginebra for years, that make Coach Tim as the effective head coach of Gilas Pilipinas.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: One seed, One casino game. Superstitious or Not? on: October 07, 2023, 11:48:14 PM
I was kind of curious about it so I want to ask the gamblers here.
Do you use the same method? One seed, one game?
Is this just some kind of a superstitious belief or is it really working?

Technically, either of those doesn't have to do with the winning chance.

But I do understand their feeling as we really have that "own belief" thinking that's the best strategy. I do have my own too.

Even without a technical explanation, I would really say it's effective at some point sticking with my own belief. Since that was the case, I just followed it until I realized it was not working anymore. Smiley There are really gamblers having that kind of stuffs on their head.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: October 07, 2023, 11:37:55 PM
The outcome of the majority of casino games is mostly controlled by luck rather than ability. Examples that are often used include craps, roulette, and slot machines. Players wager on numerous outcomes in these games, and the casino has an inherent advantage that ensures they will profit in the long term.
Casino gaming is a popular source of entertainment. Instead of looking at it as a means of making money, players should approach it with the intention of having fun.

Yes, I won't argue that casino games are a game of chance. That's why it became a form of entertainment for anyone since when luck hit us, expect an amazing experience that we won't forget even if we count for several years especially if that's a decent and really a huge win.

It's very obvious that treating gambling as a form of making money is the worst idea. Making money out of luck is a risky thing to do.

Don't dare to make gambling a source of income. Not all people have a fortunate future out of doing that.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: October 07, 2023, 11:27:34 PM
Yeah it's nice to see that casimero is already in the Japan which is pretty good enough to prepare his upcoming fight as we all know that this is one of this big fights so he need to take it seriously so that he will win and claim the peoles charisma once again and if that's gonna happen then for sure a chance of facing the monster of Japan Inoue will be happen soon as possible.

I hope they won't do something stupid again while preparing for the fight lol. They should be aware of Japan's terms. I know they are really aware but they are just courageous to do something unusual. But I trust Casimero's camp that they are now in a much more professional state.

A few days before the fight, there's no need for hard preparation. Just the usual, small, and light practice routine every day.

And one more thing, Casimero badly needed this win in order to be close to being a title contender.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Getting paid on gambling accounts on: October 07, 2023, 11:17:36 PM
I made a mistake of getting paid for signature campaign in gambling platform accounts.
When I got my payment, I thought I would slowly increase the amount by about 5-10% before I initiate a withdrawal. But I quickly lost control of my emotions and ended up blowing the entire balance of my account. This happened more than once, it happened about 5 times as I received money from different sources.
It’s important for me to tell this story so that others don’t make the same mistake I did. This has been a huge life lesson in managing money and emotional self-discipline .

Just to make it clear to you, it's not a mistake getting paid thru gambling platform accounts.

It became a mistake for you because you did a horrible thing. If only you maintain your coolness, discipline, and being a responsible person in gambling, you won't end up with that mess. Again it's not a mistake but rather you are the one who made it a mistake.

From now on, I hope you should know what's the best thing to do not to repeat that mistake of yours.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling prediction for non fungible tokens- 100% NFTs are a gamble on: October 07, 2023, 11:06:29 PM
I have a prediction that the NFT market will go back up, some day maybe even up to what it was or perhaps even to new all time highs, and that if you do take a gamble with NFTs right now I think one day you could have a huge payout.

Which NFTs am I talking about? I have no idea, the market is so unpredictable but I would place a bet on it that one day the NFT markets will bounce back and I think there is a tremendous opportunity right now. Bored apes for sure right now or cyber punks are probably a great buy.....

I can't say much about your prediction since it's your own prediction and that was your analysis. So be it. However, you can't just tell anyone here to gamble with NFT just because you think that is the right to do. It's ok that you shared your analysis but let these people decide for themselves on what to do next. It's hard to trust someone who in the end, they will say expect a huge payout someday.

Good luck with your analysis and I hope you will have a good and smooth run in earning a good profit in the future with these NFTs.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons you should not gamble on too many things at once. on: October 07, 2023, 10:55:27 PM
If you have the habit of playing and gambling on different sports and game, I think it is not good because of some few reasons like;
YOU WILL SPEND MORE MONEY ON GAMBLING.
YOU CAN BECOME MORE EASILY ADDICTED THAN A GAMBLER WHO PLAYS ONLY ONE GAME.
YOUR CHANCES OF LOOSING WILL INCREASE, BUT YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING MAY NOT INCREASE.
YOU WILL SPEND MORE TIME GAMBLING.
Which other reason?

I don't think that's a bad practice since what if the said bettor knows all those sports in different matches?  If they spend more time and money on gambling is none of our business anymore. What if they are having a good run with that kind of habit? What if placing bets on different sports is effective to them?

I understand that you are just concerned if they lose but gambling is really like that and you have to live with it.

Do your best not to lose is my best advice while keeping as a responsible bettor at all times.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 07, 2023, 10:43:12 PM
Money is still the real reasons why we gamble, been addicted or not, mutual greed or not, all gambling is done to make more money or get some form of reward in the end.

Of course, it is. That's why it's called "gambling" right? You are gambling and risking your own hoping for the best exchange in return.

If you saw someone saying gambling is for fun, then maybe that's the form of their fun, risking money even if they are losing.

Just mind our own business indeed. Whatever the approach of others on gambling, just let them do what they want.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 07, 2023, 10:32:56 PM
I like how Coach Tim motivates Chris Newsome to just play his usual performance as the main cager in the Meralco Bolts. He told Chris to just shoot the ball whenever he felt it. The reason he gives push to Newsome is because, Jordan won't probably see him as a threat as Chris didn't put up some good stats against China. And guess what happened, Newsome provided helpful stats and Jordan didn't see it coming as they focused on Justin Brownlee.

That's the difference between Coach Tim and Coach Chot where the latter's play is designed for only a few that's why easily checked by the opponent.

Congratulations to Gilas Pilipinas for beating China twice in a row within just short period in a different competition.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provable fairness should be mandated by law! ONLY gamble in provably fair casino on: October 07, 2023, 10:18:32 PM
Under their current schemes, they could be cheating people with rigged games and there wouldn't be even any way to prove this as it all happens virtually...

We can apply that suspicious thing if we refer to the games owned and provided by the online casino itself.

But what if those games are provided by a game provider? Nowadays, most online casino games are being provided by those game providers. Is there any way to audit these game providers to ensure the fairness of their online games?

I don't think these companies will ruin their business by rigging these games regardless of whether it's owned by a casino or provided by a game provider. Maybe it's just that gamblers blame the fairness of these games on their consecutive losses thinking it's easy to win decently in gambling.
314  Economy / Gambling / Re: make some developments related gambling on: October 06, 2023, 11:34:45 PM
With how technology is improving today, also expect that gambling will also be the same way.

Starting from the convenience, comfortability, and easy access on doing gambling, we can now see good graphics, interface, layouts, and many other things that attract users to test the site. The evolution of gambling, especially online gambling is really noticeable especially when the pandemic hit the world.

We just need to go with the follow and ride the trend. Enjoy gambling without harming ourselves in return.
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: October 05, 2023, 11:48:47 PM
Check the Casino's Reputation, Before you jump into any online casino, take some time to research its reputation. Find out if others have used this casino and whether they've been able to successfully withdraw their winnings. A trusted casino should have a track record of fair payouts.

This should be a good practice but what if we are talking about new gambling sites? Sometimes there are users who just want to test a new site. If that's the case, then I will just add that only tried with small amounts and looked at how they market aggressively their site on different platforms.

Protect Your Privacy, Be extremely cautious with your personal information. Never disclose sensitive data to anyone claiming to be from the casino, as this could be a ploy to steal your funds or identity. Legitimate casinos won't ask for this information upfront.

It's even a problem if the KYC is not being asked upfront. Always make sure to check the KYC terms before depositing money.

We won't have a choice but to comply with KYC if it's mandatory and just rely on them to protect your data.

ploy to steal your funds or identity. Legitimate casinos won't ask for this information upfront.
Set Betting Limits,Avoid the temptation to bet more than you can afford to lose. Set clear limits for yourself, both in terms of time and money. Gambling should be about entertainment, not financial desperation.

Don't talk about temptation if you are not really much of a gambler. You don't understand the feeling.

Limits can just fuel the eagerness to do gambling. The better to do is, try to keep gambling in control even without setting a limit.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Violence and anger could be a sign of gambling addiction in youths on: September 30, 2023, 11:24:22 PM
There are lots of factors why youths got involved in violence or always at angered state:

- the environment they are living
- the approach to them by the society
- in a worst family status
- broke
- depress
- stress
- mental problem

Gambling might also be a factor but there's always a main core why they turned out like that.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 30, 2023, 11:14:43 PM

Casimero is only in the rank 7. If anyone deserves the shot to a title, it's Luis Nery but even him was skipped by Innoue all for unification. There is a possibility that Inoue will move to 126 lbs and probably skip all but challenge Robeisy Ramirez. After all, he already beat Fulton which is below Robeisy so fighting Fulton I think is more of a strategy to get the WBO belt from Robeisy.

Too much hype for Luis Nery. He will just be eaten alive by Naoya Inoue if they will face off. Nery was being skipped by Inoue? Definitely no. Inoue is not like that but it's om his promoter that is arranging the fight. It's just that Nery is likely prohibited to fight in Japan (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Nery is just full of talk. I don't see him a good match for Inoue.

Marlon Tapales is the most reasonable boxer that Inoue should face and it now happened. Casimero will soon catch up but to become a champion again regardless of who will be his opponent at that time.

318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ban from a Casino for Nothing Other Than Winning Too Much Money on: September 30, 2023, 11:04:58 PM
Most gamblers don't have the capability of being a Dana White as a gambler that's why it seems unusual to see a scenario like that where a casino will ban a player for that reason.

Anyway, the casino has the right to implement such action. Their house, their rules after all. As long as they part way with that said gambler with all the winning amount settled, then no problem overall.

With Dana White's huge bankroll, he really got a decent chance to hit those big wins.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New ID requirements for Gamblers in Australia on: September 30, 2023, 10:57:21 PM
Does this mean a gambler needs to comply with the KYC of the online gambling site while at the same time, also complying with the governments own KYC in gambling?

Sounds a hassle to me but maybe online gambling sites there will just verified if the gambler already pass the government KYC. The method is not mentioned in the article.

It seems that Australia is really active in making gambling activity there fully regulated.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling beginners must not joke with casino announcement on: September 28, 2023, 11:58:12 PM
There are still some people that are completely ignoring these simple instructions, and I don't know why they want to do just that, but it's an unfortunate thing that they exist and are still doing these to 'take advantage' of offers that are being given to them. Being greedy sometimes puts you into a lot of bad situations that could have been avoided, but due to greediness, you choose not to.

Regarding that specific situation you have mentioned, who is mostly the one to blame?

Shitty gambling sites or those Users?

The never-ending cycle of situations being scammed won't be stopped as long as there are users who still stay on being ignorant on the web. Being a newbie is not a reason after all since it's already common thinking that before we throw money into something, we should research first the overall identity and information of that said site. I can't believe there are users who are easily preyed on such obvious scam site because they didn't do their part of doing research.
