301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Data Center Mining Garage and Man Mining Cave ( PART 2 !!!!!!!!) on: June 23, 2017, 10:31:17 PM
Without getting deeply into it, the person basically created a step down transformer, meaning the output was very high voltage, very low amps, you should have been able to touch the output wires and not get shocked because of the low amps.  That was common 110 coming into the transformer side with 1000's of coils and leaving through the side with few.  Flipping that same homemade transformer around would step the voltage the other way, but increase the amps
302  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mined bitcoin at current prices? on: June 21, 2017, 11:05:18 AM
Is the result of mined bitcoin at current prices that can cover the cost of minning itself, because I have a plan to mine bitcoin with my friend

You really want to be the people that are working in the secret underground and not so much on this highly public level, because by the time that you have seen a coin mentioned here as a viable mining effort, the difficulty has already risen considerably.  It is a matter of doing the near impossible and we are out there doing it everyday.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AntShares frenzy on: June 21, 2017, 09:50:34 AM
That didn't qualify as a frenzy anyway. That was just that weekend traffic that saw the yard sale sign before hitting the Walmart clearance section.  It is basically that last glimpse that you see of a person's hand as they go under the water for the last time when drowning.  There was just enough energy in the final wave that you can pinpoint the exact point in the ocean where the coin sank and was never seen again.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple is in major trouble on: June 21, 2017, 08:10:18 AM
Ripple has nothing special to offer like the majority of the coins from the same generation and most of coins from the current generation.  There is nothing wrong with Ripple, but there is nothing that will make it surge above the rest more than a few times here and there, based on new traffic created because the OP announcement got a new bit of life.
305  Economy / Services / Re: Crack my bitcoin wallet address and get 0.155 btc + 0.5BTC on: June 21, 2017, 07:14:26 AM
The mining process is basically cracking the system and once a certain amount of effort has been reached trying to recover a wallet, it is time to hang it up.  It is up to you when you get to that point and lost funds do suck, but that same amount of effort posting here, searching files and this and that can be applied to getting new funds and that becomes the best path at some point.
306  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [SELL] BTC for Neteller 10% rate on: June 21, 2017, 05:59:58 AM
Do not use the people on here that claim to be trusted escrow, they are just another person and throwing around the word escrow does not create trust out of thin air.  Look at the sites that do this and go with those, the sites have history and they support escrow.  Sites like paxul and lbc both have netteller and there are security measures that provide some protection that you will never find on a forum.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: No Email Confirmation from Bitmain on: June 21, 2017, 05:19:23 AM
I bought some Antminer L3+'s a couple hours ago from Bitmain but I still have not received email confirmation. The order shows as paid on their website, but I haven't received an email. What should I do?

Make sure that you check spam, they are automated emails from them, you can request it over and over and eventually it will come.  Make sure that you click the link in the last email that you received.  i have literally had to request the email and then go to sleep sometimes with some of these sites. It is ridiculous and the based on the fact that the site owner and operator has no coding and no experience running a website or server.
308  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Bankers on: June 21, 2017, 05:08:49 AM
Bitcoin and banks serve entriely different functions and ideally can benefit from each others continued existence.
No, bitcoin is trying to provide the functionality which are being offered by banks so far and under some totally different circumstances. In near future you cannot expect these both to exist. More probably, banks may get vanished as bitcoin's concepts are ensuring more power to individual rather than just depending on government or simply banks

That's very unlikely (and still less in the near future)

Banks are required to process fiat payments, and they will exist as long as there is fiat still around. And I'd rather say that it is Bitcoin which is going to vanish sooner. And it may happen not in some abstract "near" future but in the nearest future when Bitcoin gets split into several conflicting and competing chains. Aside from that, Bitcoin simply can't scale up to replace fiat in any meaningful degree, at least, now. Things may change in some distant future but it should first survive the future which I just mentioned (i.e. the coming chain split)
And the technology of bitcoin (blockchain) will be useful for banks to improve their service in the near future. They need to improve, because in 2018 PSD2 will force them to share some of their data with fintech companies. Fintech companies are good in  specialized part of the banking sector (e.g. instant payment, small payments, parking fees, etc.). If PSD2 will come into force, fintech companies can start the development of their systems based on existing financial data and they don't need to gather data thru their app from a limited source.

So..........you could store coins in your Bitcoin wallet, something that can be done at a bank, but that is the same function as a wallet, thus why they are called wallets in Bitcoin, not banks.  A bank provides a secure storage, that is what the online wallet are doing, not Bitcoin.  A personal Bitcoin wallet has to be keep safe by the user.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Possible to run Core Client without local copy of blockchain ? on: June 18, 2017, 08:16:30 AM
I would say that you should look at your goals and purpose of the things you want to do.  Yes, I have seen, with some tinkering and work, a VERY local network connection used to "host" a node and interact with it from nearby network locations.  It can be tricky and a real pain.  I would imagine that simply running core on the node machine and using SSH or whatever to use that core would be much easier.
310  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [VBA for Paypal] Virual Bank Account for US Paypal Verification Instant on: June 18, 2017, 06:57:03 AM
I am just asking and not judging.  Is this a workaround bank scam that allows you to "legally" do this or is it outright illegal?  With a huge investment and a MBS license a person could get their own routing number for their financial service and issue accounts, that would be nowhere near cost effective.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: June 18, 2017, 06:15:38 AM
There are a myriad of small things that have happen, like you listed that separate the coins.  Most of these little things amount to squat when it comes to price, value and worth.  The coins are very close to each other as far as code and the differences are not that overly important to the casual end user.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DigitalPrice | New Team | New Projects on: June 18, 2017, 05:04:55 AM
More then 200 coins still pending. It will take time if u play a lot and request transaction?

Which came first, the game or the coin, lol?  It seems that both ideas were there and built side by side and it looks pretty good.  Other than stupid versions of faucets, I have only seen one other real game that paid coin rewards, not including gambling.  I have wanted there to be more, but I know that the possibility of cheating the game or the system is very strong and that holds many back.
313  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Microsoft and Adobe Keys on: June 18, 2017, 02:43:51 AM
Dude, drop the five bucks on a VPS and set these into a quick commerce framework...add inventory and volume controls and Bitcoin as a currency.  By the time that you did all these links on the third party site, you could have done a full site.  Five bucks for a month will be much less than the percentage per sale that you pay that site.
314  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: btc crossing 3,000 $ today ? on: June 17, 2017, 10:46:43 PM
You can feel the current hesitation of the traders in Bitcoin itself.  Once the price dropped back to $2600, the excitement and the flurried buying/selling ended, replaced by a more hesitant market, a fear market and a stop loss market.  That will hold the price in this range for a while and it will get past it, just not today.

315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU sweetspot on: June 17, 2017, 10:17:40 PM
a celeron can handle a miner with identical cards (eg all 480s), but is under more load if mixing algorithms (such as zcash on 3xx cards simultaneous to eth on 4xx cards) and shows a bit of delay. works fine, but you might consider $20 more for an i3 on mixed rigs

Very good to know.  I feel good about going with the pentium (G4620).  Incidentally the performance difference between the kaby lake pentium and the kaby lake i3 is negligable.  Both are dual core with 4 threads.  The main difference seems to be the i3 has the avx extensions, which won't make the slightest bit of difference if I'm not cpu mining.

The only difference points would be a hugely mis-built system.  The data does have to travel through the CPU RAM and could bottleneck some if the numbers would ridiculous.  A mid-range 32 GB GPU card, flowing into a PC with 1 GB of RAM might see the data slow some upon entering the FSB.
316  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SpectroCoin Bitcoin debit card (0% loading and 0.5% unload fee) + Giveaway on: June 17, 2017, 06:08:36 PM
do you offer reseller program for small business.. thank you.

I have been all over this one from day one and I just saw the OP/dev ask someone what they meant by a reseller program, that did me in.  It is assumed that someone handling funds in this manner has some business experience.  There is not a single business person out there that has come near the internet in the last decade and does not know what a reseller program is.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU & CPU BENCHMARKS FOR ZCASH MINING! on: June 17, 2017, 05:37:49 PM
Yeah, that sounds like it may be an internal DNS hook.  As long as the DNS is set right in the ASIC/rig/PC then you should be alright, set it to one of the biggies.  Plus, check for hosts files on top of the DNS config and then compare some online DNS IP results with your own results through CLI and see what happens.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should I invest in GPU mining? on: June 17, 2017, 02:49:37 PM
If you start with the idea of mining now and pay high prices for "old" gpu's with high hashrates is a big risk.
When Ethereum grenades to POS and is less profitable. Guess where the ethereum gold diggers are going? to the other coins.
Diff will rise exponentially with less return. Good luck on selling your old gpu's with very little resale value.
be cautious  Wink

If you are looking to make money long term with a GPU, that means near constant research and coin switching.  You can use a profit switching pool, but make sure that the only pool fees are the normal fees and not higher to switch coins.

i do this, but you will never make millions, it is steady stream of money, but miners go down etc. i think if i had the cash would buy strong coins.

Really, GPU mining is more of a hobby at this time and more and more so as time goes on.  Hobbies cost you money in the long run, maybe only a little, but they do not generate income.  If you have another use for the GPU, like just generally having a faster computer to play with and use, then the investment has two benefits.
319  Economy / Services / Re: Easy job..get $1 in btc(RATE INCREASED ) on: June 17, 2017, 02:17:30 PM
You have been here awhile and that is a good sign.  I was a little worried that you were paying to get clicks on a third party service and that usually gets caught quick and you lose out in the end.
In the grand scheme of things, 50 cents is not much, but it takes a couple seconds and seems to be legit.  The best people for this would be brand new people that are looking for that first bit of coin.  It is nice to get a little in that first wallet, even if it is a small amount.

320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you daily withdraw coin balances from the exchange(s)? on: June 17, 2017, 01:47:52 PM
I do not and I would not do that for a couple reasons.  I do bleed off the profits once or twice a week, but that is different, I keep my trading base balance on the exchange.  First, a TX can take a decent bit of time, even with a higher fee, and that lost time can mean the difference between hitting the sweet spot on a trade signal and missing it completely, even ten minutes after spotting the opportunity.

Secondly, not every trade drops a huge return, some increase the overall funds by just a bit after all is said and done and adding daily network and exchange fees to the mix just lowers the margins.  Also, the exchanges I use appear to use some odd system of addresses and outside tracking would be increased by sending off site and back.
