301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: July 05, 2023, 09:57:38 AM
A distinctive lack of self-reflection is something very common these days, in my experience many people have very short attention spans and they do not think long term, so they simply react to whatever happens to them, and instead of making a small research and finding out that obtaining profits out of gambling is almost impossible, they keep trying, and once they lose they keep trying anyway as at some point they think their luck will change.
After playing gambling several times, they should be able to reflect on what happened after they decided to play gambling to see whether gambling brought or gave good or bad results. If gambling brings good results in a sense, they can still gamble but must still be able to control themselves and not cross the line. Meanwhile, if they lose, they should try to reduce the time they gamble and even stop gambling before they get into a lot of trouble from gambling.

Better overview and good control of your emotions are the things that you need to equipt yourself when you are into gambling.

It's tough to maintain your self-control as gambling is really addicting, and without that control you are
risking a lot, not just your money, but also your health.

Giving enough time to always assess the result and having a good mentality to avoid doing unnecessary action when
you are already on the losing side.
302  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: July 05, 2023, 09:49:59 AM
Now you have $100,000 in your account, pure savings, and you don't need this amount of money to cover your daily expenses. Obviously it's good/free money to use at will. Let's say if you deposit the money into a bank and the annual interst rate is 3%, you will get a steady interest income year by year. If you use this money to buy Bitcoin, let's say the BTC drops to $17,000, you'll buy less than 6 Bitcoins. In the long run, what would you do with this money ? And why ?

For me i will diversify my portfolio. I will invest in bitcoin and at the same time i will deposit some. I will wait for the price drop of bitcoin before investing in it as we all know that bitcoin and other crypto currencies is very volatile, and i am planning invest on the right timing so that i will not regret my investment. For the deposit i will deposit part of it that will be set aside for emergency fund. In case of emergency i could easily withdraw that savings in the bank. So while there is no emergency yet it would still generate a little bit of profit if it stays at the bank.

If you can execute your plan and you can stay focused on how you set it up,

The chance of making good passive benefits will await you. It's more about how you dwell with your plan and how you execute
with the right timing. It's tough but doable if you will continue to focus on finding the right investment and the right balance of your
expenses, you'll be able to make something good and be financially stable in the future.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: July 05, 2023, 09:03:45 AM
If you mean by all their customers taken together, then you are right. But how does this apply to us individual players? It's a false statement that "no one can beat the casino". You know this, right? There are tons of examples of people winning huge amounts through gambling, so, I think, we shouldn't repeat this false statement over and over like a mantra. Leave it to dishonest journalists.
I understand what you're saying but here what I mean is about luck and as I said before that there are no guarantees.
what I say is maybe some people will disagree, but from my experience, if I tell the truth, I think someone who wins a lot of money from gambling, if you calculate the overall losses and profits, will not be equal.
like for example I bet the first day I lost $500, the second day I lost $1000 and the third day I won $1000. despite getting a $1000 win but a $500 loss.
but back to that there are no guarantees because the luck of every gambler is different and all of this depends on a commitment not to be greedy. even though someone is lucky to beat the casino make a lot of money but greedy want to earn more I'm sure he will lose even more soon and fail to beat the casino like the problem of that time a person won over $500k but wanted to win $1m and finally all his big win was gone and failed to beat the casino.

I understand, there are such cases, there are many of them, that's true. But it's not like a rule that everyone loses in gambling in the long run. It's simply not true. It's like saying that everyone who drinks alcohol becomes an alcoholic eventually. Or, everyone who eats cake eventually becomes obese.

I, for one, am in profit from gambling, especially from playing poker, but I know it proves nothing, because it's a single case. What is more important is that neither online games, nor our brains are designed so that we will necessarily lose in the long run.

Such a statement can be true in individual perception. It's an opinion base and possible to take place.

Though most of the time, it's really more on the losing side in the long-run, like with your example eating a lot can turn you
to be an obese, keep playing and keep forcing yourself to win can turn to addicted gambler, also a big possibility depending
from how a person will handle and how he will be precise with his limitations.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 05, 2023, 08:51:47 AM
San Antonio can be a good place for an old Damian Lillard, when the number 1 draft diamond boy learning from him. The only thing that prevent this to happen its San Antonio never had a star player on hiw file, and yes tim duncan parker ginobili were stars but they are formed in San Antonio.
And DL its more individual player than collective.

That would be a lot of fun to see those two play together, but I do t think I see Lillard wanting to go there. Sure they got Greg Popavich who’s an absolutely legendary coach whom is revered by players, but I think it’s going to take more than one sensational (potentially) rookie for them to win a championship.

I would expect him to go to a little bit more mature of a team. But he’s also not a free agent so thats obviously going to hurt his shot at going yo the teams he really wants to.
Yes, I don't see Lillard looking for teams that they want him to be the mentor, on the contrary, I'm seeing Lillard going for teams that has a championship experienced or a good chance to enter the finals because he has been chasing at least a ring before he retires.

Maybe he is good friends with Butler and so he wanted to go to Miami. Although Miami under Butler hasn't won a ring yet, but they have been in 2 finals already and maybe they just need another one player like Lillard to finally get a championship, so it's a win-win situation for both of them.

More on chasing the ring instead of having a good influenced to mentor a young rookie.

Beside coach Pop's capabilities are more than enough to build Wemby's characteristic, and to develop more on his skills,
I like to see Dame with a title contender team with an almost complete squad who needs another good scorer and
maybe Miami might be good for him to land.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 04, 2023, 09:14:22 PM
Yes, at that time, the odds are really not in favor of Casimero because his weight is really dragging him down and making him inactive in the industry because of the same problem and just like what happened when he got stripped before he fought Butler, that might happen too if his fight with Inoue have been restored. But that just cannot be as after Covid subsided, another variant hit them again and made the government of Japan to close their borders to all foreign people.
Many events occurred during that time that led to Casimero losing his belt. However, we can still experience the excitement we've been missing in the bantamweight division if Inoue becomes a champion again and Casimero becomes a contender, as they are now in the same super bantamweight division. Let's hope this fight materializes, as it will undoubtedly satisfy the fans who have been eagerly awaiting this highly anticipated matchup.

It was a well deserve wait if ever these two great fighters will cross path again.

Though it's more on speculative expectations as both are not having a belt yet, it's possible for Inoue as this upcoming event
is giving him this opportunity to grab Fulton's belt.

If in case he will win and Casimero will continue his winning stats, we might see them meeting in the same ring as long as Inoue
choose to stay in this current division.
306  Economy / Economics / Re: Logic of life on: July 04, 2023, 09:00:59 PM
I think you're referring to earnings or profits that allow being consistent. Knowledge alone can sometimes become obsolete, people say "experience is the best teacher". From several experiences it will produce evaluations and form stronger economic instincts in all the changing conditions of life variables.

And people have to believe in themselves that what they do will reap results.
You’re on point mate. Although it’s a known fact that knowledge is power, but experience itself is more powerful. Some people with high intelligence do not end up successful in their lives because they lack the strategies to succeed but people with high experience are seen to have reach far in their endeavors not because they are witty and smart, but because they already know how to deal the battles in life since they have been battling all along. Same with crypto investments, knowledge alone cannot guarantee success but experience and skills will definitely make it.

With good experienced you'll be able to master the process and the chance of making things possible can be done.

I see that point of yours regarding to how experienced can be powerful compared just knowledge, just elaborating the edge
if you have the knowledge and have that experienced, you can simply add that idea to establish a good system to keep enhancing
and keep executing usable ways to keep succeeding in your goals.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 04, 2023, 08:54:05 PM
According to the latest news I've read, there is only one team that Damian Lillard wants to be traded to now and that is the Miami Heat. (Shams Charania)

If this trade happens, it will be very good for the Miami Heat.
Do you think this trade will happen?
This rumor has been around during this trade war and I think it's very plausible that Dame will be out of Portland and likely to get on Heat.
That's the Heat is also rumored to offer a trade that's hard to decline just for Dame but we shall see the trade rumor happen within the next few days, maybe.

This is an anticipated event, and everyone is excited to know where Lillard will land. He has been a Blazer for his entire career, but now he has witnessed the limitations of the organization. Therefore, leaving the Blazers is timely, especially since Lillard is still healthy and capable of helping a team win a championship.
I've seen some tweets or posts that it's just about that he's wanting to increase his value and this is common. Getting the typical contract that he's got for his entire career, could be one reason for this potential trade. But that's just a thought in mind that's also possible. Anyway, whether he just really want a new environment and new team, that's on him and this is typical for players that wants to have something new and also wants to get a ring as well.

He's requesting for that trade whatever reason it's on him and all of our opinions are just speculations.

We are waiting for any update to what team he might be playing after this request. He's pointing that he wanted to play
for Miami, but for sure the offer or the trade negotiation will be on the management side, if Blazers will agree to Miami's
deal to get Lilard's service.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: July 04, 2023, 07:04:53 PM

That's how favored he is to win this fight. If we could aim for a KO victory, I believe the odds would be even higher, so we shouldn't hesitate to take that opportunity. It's rare to see Donaire face a boxer whom he could clearly dominate. The odds may not be attractive, but I have great confidence in Donaire winning the fight, perhaps within the first three rounds. Who would dare to risk betting on that?

Maybe because right now, he is not the kind of boxer he was in his prime, and obviously Santiago is the only boxer he can dominate and not the other contenders in the high rank anymore. Let's just see how the old Donaire will handle this fight after coming from a devastating loss against Inoue and what kinds of skills he still has to show Santiago in this fight because if he hasn't been training some new skills, then Santiago will easily win this fight because of knowing all his moves already unless Donaire is fully ready and have the plan to knock him out.

Bookies would not make him a heavy favorite if people didn't believe in Donaire's capability anymore. While he did suffer a TKO against Inoue, it's important to note that Inoue has been dominating anyone who dares to challenge him. This is a fresh start for Donaire since the belts have all been vacated with Inoue moving up to the super bantamweight division.

Yup, bookies most of the time based on the odd with how they believe with the capabilities of the favorite,

Some adjustment especially if fans continue to pick the fighter against his opponents, I still believe that Donaire has
that good edge against Santiago. Like what you believe, it's a good timing for Donaire to take the belt back and reclaim
his name from this division, that last TKO lost against Inoue, will be part of his past now and reclaiming the belt will give
him more chances to make more money.

All those experienced that you will attain while you are doing your trades will equipt you along the way,

If you failed from your first few attempts, but you are keen in learning and you do all the best that you think that will
help you to achieve success, the fruit of your hard work will be harvested if the right sets of knowledge and skills will
be developed inside you, though we all know not everyone can achieve, but it's depend from how you will look at it
and how willing you are to find every possible resource to earn more knowledge of the business.
Everyone will make mistakes, but not everyone will be able to learn and gain experience from it. If we make the same mistake several times, then we have not learned this lesson and this mistake will be repeated in the future.

Therefore, when we start our journey as traders, we must first trade with insignificant funds, because we need to understand that while we are looking for our working strategy, we will lose money. If this moment is missed and the trader immediately tries to trade with big money, then the price of these mistakes will cost us much more.

Indeed, without any learning from past mistake will only repeat itself, that can harm your finances.

It's needed to make sure that you learn from each trades and even you just use a small amount of starting capital
the important thing is that you are learning from your every trade participation.

Nothing can be succeeded if you are unable to manifest good knowledge with the business that you are taking, it will
just empty your savings. Learning is very important.
310  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this a Strategy? Is it a good Strategy? on: July 03, 2023, 06:08:59 PM
That is a common occurrence for these people. We can see that the purpose of these controversies is to generate attention and increase engagement on social media. Besides creating attention and attracting a large number of followers, They take advantage of controversies and pique our curiosity to gain marketing or advertising campaign capabilities. Even if they are criticized by many people, they don't care because, for good or bad, they all contribute to popularity and interaction on social media platforms, and above all, they can make a lot of money from them.

Logically right, both good and bad publicity still create engagements with viewers and readers.

It can be used as a good channel to reach those people who show their intention to follow or to know what's going on,
giving those personalities more engagements and additional popularity. I agree that even in the event it created bad
impressions, they can still convert that to a money making tool to earn money.
311  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie? on: July 02, 2023, 08:41:16 PM
It is better to avoid trading instead of doing it with wrong way. With wrong way, you may benefited for temporary but sooner or later, your fund will be vanished. Trading means, you have to build strong relationship with market and hold yourself for long term with that environment. if you can learn how to exist, then you will make profit automatically. but for that you have to learn first lest or you should lost everything for one wrong move
For trading you have to adapt yourself to the crypto market all the time. If you are new then if you want to trade in new condition then you have to start trading with good understanding about trading. If you want to trade without knowing about trading then your money will be at risk.  .If you trade properly there is a lot of profit potential. There is a high chance of losing money due to a few mistakes. So I think we have to start trading after having a good idea about the trade otherwise we will face a lot of problems.
Correctly adjusting to the crypto market is so important and it must be done,
trading is basically full of risks so it needs a lot of preparation before starting to trade,
Besides knowledge, I think skills and risk management are also important.
All of that is combined in one, namely knowledge and in my opinion the most important thing is experience, as a beginner there are many trials that must be passed but if you continue to do it seriously and consistently then success is likely to accompany you.
All traders who have been successful at this time must have gone through a lot to get them to this point.

What must always be remembered is that trading Crypto has a very large risk, as well as the possibility of large profits as well so that it is possible for beginners to experience everything, that needs to be known and must be minimized.

312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in memecoins profitability on: July 02, 2023, 07:21:26 PM
Some of your words are true but it also true that, a coin also start increasing when any good exchange announced to listed it in their exchange. It'll be great if i can buy a coin with cheap price which is possible while token sale but Who will guarantee that PEPEWX will be profitable in long run? Cause after all It's a meme coin and most of meme coin don’t have any future
thats true but honestly once meme coin gets listed you're already too late to invests, everyone else already make an investment, so basically eitherway you're just wasting your time and money away.
in this case better avoid meme coins in general then.

If you can find a way to invest before it will be offered to a big exchange, the chance of making good money is possible.

But if you are buying it inside the exchange already, the chance of being left behind or being stuck is also possible, and that's where
the risk is really taking place, most of the time when a meme project got hype people are fomoing and once the price got dumped
then expect a lot of bad experienced to be shared, if you can't handle that kind of risk better not to proceed with meme.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 02, 2023, 06:43:21 AM
^ That’s a big blow to the Nuggets.
Yeah, surprising news as many would have thought that this team will be stronger than before and bonds would be made. After all, this is NBA and it's all about business and taking the best offers that they can take after getting out of their primes.
It's not actually different from what the Golden State Warriors did. After their championship, they increased the salary of some of their players and then traded them. Some are let go with a better contract for other teams.
I think what happened is just normal in the NBA now. Loyalty is not a thing anymore, where there is money, go get it, get yourself a house and some savings for your retirement fund. I think Bruce Brown will be there.
The same with the Lakers and that's why I just thought that this team will remain just as is with their winning roster. But this is all about their value has gotten up just after getting the ring so it's a wise move for him when there's a bigger offer since they're not always at their height of their career so it's nice that he took advantage of it.

Definitely a smart move by Bruce Brown because he knows that he now deserves a much higher contract after the Nuggets won the championship recently and it's not that he was just riding the team easily because he also had his own highlights. Also, it was a nice move for the Indiana Pacers for acquiring him because his presence and skill on the court is certainly a plus.

I agree, even he shines up during his stay with the Denver but his exposures is not that much.

Aside from the money for sure, he will play a lot of minutes now after Indiana signs him up. He's a good addition in terms
of a two-way type of player, he can go for the offense but also a good one for the defense.

He just uses this opportunity to give him a better luxury. Changing another uniform is just a part of the business
we never know what he can add for Indiana's next season rally.
314  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I Use Emergency funds or Sell my Assets ? on: July 02, 2023, 06:14:50 AM
Economic problems have always haunted us, especially now that the financial situation is getting worse and those of us who have assets certainly have to make considerations to use these funds, if that has become the only way we have to do, then just sell the assets you have so that your problems are quickly resolved and later you have to find a way so that everything you spend now you can have back, Because right now it is indeed in a difficult situation.

You need to sort all the venues that you have as an alternative to survive.

To the point that you'll sell your reserves, it might be difficult, but taking your decision will vary in how the needs you should
take care of, assets or savings both have the risk when taking it out of your holdings, but the fact that you need to
carry is on how you can replace it when you get the chance.

Have you done in-depth research on this project that makes you so confident in inviting people to invest in meme coins.
Very important task before you invest and before you advice or refer the project to anyone, meme coin asset is a risky investment as
we all know and there's no secret to it, more on gambling with luck and opportunity.

Quote
You should know that many meme coin prices are affected by the hype so that many people experience losses when investing in meme coins.

You should be aware of whatever risk that you need to encounter after placing your money into this kind of investment.

Quote
One of the meme coin cases that caused most people to experience losses was the Shiba Inu where at that time people were very interested in buying when they saw the price increase but it didn't last long, the price has fallen until now.

It all depends on how a trader/investor deal with DYOR even there's a big hype you still need to work along with your research.

Reports says Gabe Vincent joining the Lakers,

Quote
Free agent guard Gabe Vincent is expected to join the Los Angeles Lakers on a three-year, $33 million deal, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

https://www.nba.com/news/gabe-vincent-2023-free-agency

So this is a great news for the Lakers and Lebron as he will have a good wingman and a 3 point shooter. Plus Gabe has one of the best seasons so far last year with the Heat.

But as the same time, they let go of Dennis as he moves to Toronto. Because Fred VanVleet signing a three-year, $130 million max contract with the Houston Rockets.

With D'Lo and Vincent together with a healthy LeBron and Davis seems good to me.

Vincent, as we've seen him played last season, he can contribute a lot to the Lakers knowing how LeBron's type game now
he's more on locating the open man. With both D'Lo and Vincent, he can easily drop the ball and get a high percentage
shots outside, or he can locate Davis inside for the easy basket.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: July 01, 2023, 04:40:51 AM
If you are not aiming for a quick way to earn, I mean if you don't have that wrong impressions into gambling.

Using the amount that you are willing to let go, sparing it for the sake of entertainment is something that wise gambler
is really capable, they can calculate and they can execute that kind of engagement without any fear of exceeding and
losing a lot of money, with the kind of setup addiction is also being catered, not allowing too much engagements and
exposure to gambling.
It is true.
Sports gamblers are the ones who are not mostly prone to gambling addiction because they are just logging in whenever an event will happen with their favorite sports. And, a human being can only handle less amount of sports to be more knowledgeable about it.
I love boxing, MMA, and basketball only, and adding more might get me confused about which sport a player/fighter will be. Sometimes I even mix MMA with boxing because of the entertainment that is happening right now mostly with Jake Paul challenging MMA fighters.
I tend to just wait for big events to come and in NBA the season ends so there's a long rest that will come after. I just play casino games when I feel bored but I don't really soak into it, just an hour of playing Keno or Crash, I already have a sored eye.  Grin

I think those who believe they are near the addiction, they should just try to focus on sports betting instead, the fun is still there because of the thrill that will be added by betting for the favorite team.

This has a point. I rarely hear that someone is addicted in sports gambling. Most of the time, players get too much caught up with luck based games. Since luck based games such as slots and roulettes are not that complicated, it's much easier to access and play whenever and wherever. There's no need for an event to come up just to be able to play and bet. Unlike in sports betting wherein the gamblers have to wait a specific time frame in which the sports match will commence before they can make a bet. And with this being said, it's not going to be an everyday scenario for them which just basically puts them into lesser probability of getting addicted to gambling.

This depends on the gambler because, let's say, the gambler is fond of all sports, so he would possibly bet on all of them because there are everyday sports events or tournaments happening, so he can still get addicted. The same is true with e-sports, where there are everyday somewhat big events, celebrity match-ups, and local tournaments. As long as betting is involved, no matter if it is skill-based or luck-based, you can get addicted to it, and there is no exception.

Not really the case mate because even if let's say that the gambler is fond and knows a lot of sports compared to a regular sports bettor, there is still a big chance that he will not get addicted to it because knowing the sports doesn't also mean that he/she knows everyone playing behind it. So, that brings them back to square one where they will wait for the game/fight and will not be an everyday habit where they will spend a lot of time betting.

All depends on our interpretations, both of you have valid reason and that's your both position.

More on how you understand and how you take your responsibilities, you can choose to keep playing or keep on betting
or you can just wait for the best game or sport that you think you have better advantages. Some might continue to keep
betting and lead to addiction while some will not and continue to control and enjoy with their gambling activities.

I'd say 60 for BTC and 40 for ETH, since you're starting out, ETH's environment can overwhelm you and may throw you off if you try to rush-learn it. Have some of it and if you've known more about it then go ham if you'd like to. 60% for BTC cause it still is the standard.

Might be possible to bring 50% for BTC and 40% for ETH and the remaining can be used for other alts.

Though it's better to educate yourself first and try to learn more about this investment before taking your action and
place your money inside this industry, investing in crypto is risky the market is volatile, and you have to make sure
that you are willing to take full responsibilities with your actions. More on yourself assessment when choosing for the
best asset to invest.

319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 30, 2023, 10:32:46 PM
Donaire still winning here from my own take, Santiago's capability is not the same or far from how Inoue dominated
this division.

There's a significant gap between Inoue and Santiago. Inoue has held the championship in the division for quite some time, while Santiago is currently just a contender. In fact, both Donaire and Santiago are contenders fighting for the vacant belt that Inoue left behind. It's undeniable that Inoue stands out in the discussion because there hasn't been a fighter who comes close to his skills, except perhaps for Casimero.

Yeah as he fought Donaire during his prime while Doniare in the first match was at rest for a long time.

Then in the rematch we all witness that age already against Donaire, his speed is no longer the same and that wrong decision
to go for a toe-to-toe confrontation with Inoue, something that led him to kiss the ring in the early round.

Though, against Santiago which far different from Inoue, we might see Donaire to excel he might be aging but still have that
skills and capabilities to match up with the young contender.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 30, 2023, 07:07:21 PM

The good thing is that it's not difficult to find players willing to play for the Warriors at a lower contract, as the team has a reputation for developing players through their strong program.
You make a valid point, as many role players who have played with the Warriors have shown significant improvement. The team's system is excellent, serving as a strong training ground for these players.

Consequently, their value tends to increase when their contracts expire and they choose not to re-sign with the Warriors. It remains crucial for the Warriors to retain their core group of players. The addition of CP3 is a major boost, assuming he remains free from injuries.

Exactly, they can use Warriors as a good training ground and once they already adopt the system,

They choose not to re-sign the contract and take a much better offer, I think it's a practical way if you want to boost your
