301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA PlayOffs - First Round on: April 29, 2019, 09:50:35 AM
Warriors are a -9 point favorite on Friday playing on the road in Clippers.
I see some value in taking the home dog plus the points after the performance tonight.
This would give much value on the Clippers, you can take the moneyline and wish there will be game 7, they just played well tonight
and they could play better at home. They will try to entertain the fans as they haven't win at least one game in the series yet.

Well those that placed bets on gsw seem to just get their bets back with a little bonus lol. The matchup was one sided anyways from the beginning. Now we'll see probably the matchup to determine the champions in the west. Gsw took game 1 even with steph and klay not scoring that much. They didn't actually need to do much with the way kd was playing.
302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion [Odds updated!] on: April 29, 2019, 09:43:35 AM

 Grin

I am sorry for your loss. Is it the money or the character, I shall not spoil it hehehe.

No spoilers. It was a good episode, however I was a little disappointed. I reckon that storyline should have been expanded. I reckon they can make it a season long storyline.

Spoiler discussions tomorrow hehehe.

Lol. Itching for a discussion about episode 3 😁😁😁 though i can't say i'm disappointed with this one. That's the good thing about expecting the worst, sometimes you expect too much that what actually happens can be a bit satisfying lol. Sad though for those that didn't make it but a good one nonetheless.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Strategy to overcome losses .. on: April 29, 2019, 09:39:17 AM
~
I think so, you have to do something, not avoid something to eliminate the nature of your addiction. You have to get used to new activities, get used to without gambling, and get used to seeing gambling ads though. when you are out of addiction, of course you already have a strategy to overcome losses

Well said! Indeed, it's mainly addicted gamblers, who can't get over with their losses. Most gamblers accept it and move on, since there are so many interesting things in this world, and doing some of them you can even earn some money along the way, and also you can learn something, which can be much more than just money in the end. Those things can be different for different persons, so it's hard to suggest to a particular individual what can be the best way for him/her to distract oneself from gambling, but the good news is that they definitely exist, you just have to find what suits you the best.

As you said, it's different from person to person but what you said about doing something instead of avoiding something  is one of the better suggestions i've read here. I think that kind of approach is for people who are more determined to either move on from a loss or keep themselves from getting addicted. It varies from person to person if this can be achieved but i think knowing that you have to do sonething is the better step forward.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: April 29, 2019, 05:45:26 AM
With what I have see and experienced so far KYC was implemented by the online casino owners just like how crypto currency exchange site does (I mean they set some limit of withdraw which KYC will be ask from customers) in other to prevent their business cause no one will pray for his business to collapse and gambler need to do is always play on a trustable site which your personal information will be secure because KYC will be ask when huge fund is involve.
Yeah the reason for implementing KYC is actually genuine and there are many reputable casino site that request for it but personally I would not play on any site that requests for KYC, I chose online gambling because of privacy and my mind would not be at rest knowing that I have my information submitted on a casino site,no matter how safe they promise to keep it. There will still be doubts.

It's more for the safety of the casinos than it's customers i think. Of course these businesses would prioritize their security and having personal information about their customers would make it easier to run after people who use their platform for money laundering, scams and cheating. And though i also can make it secure for players and users, i personally won't be at ease giving out my information just to gamble. I can understand that it may be necessary for trading sites but for online casinos, nah i'd pass.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understand addiction! on: April 29, 2019, 05:39:55 AM
Building career and working out aren't always pleasurable to many people.  I doubt they are the real solutions to addiction problem.  They can be stressful sometimes. .. And the stress could encourage more gambling.

Gambling addicts should be encouraged to list what makes them happy,  what they enjoy or find fun aside gambling.
They could be asked to replace the gambling with the list. The fun experiences can be developed for them assuming they are undergoing a therapy.

Well that's amother approach to it. Working out probably gets mentioned a lot because it's a physical activity. Huffing and puffing your lungs out can take away other thoughts so it is a good alternative but only for those who are interested. There are also a lot of physical activities not limited to working out like going outdoors. For me that's a more entertaining way of keeping yourself from sitting at a gambling table. One thing is for sure, it's easier if the addicted gambler has a solid support group like close friends and family.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let me introduce "Ending Game" on: April 29, 2019, 05:16:44 AM
This is the first time i have seen such kind of betting card like this i guess i really live in a different world. lol
Anyway, my question for this is what if those who do reserve their tickets but doesn't win and they never pay after that what would you people do to that person? Grin I'm just curious if those people really cheat? Grin

Usually bettors pay when they make their bets but yes there are instances were they bet on credit. If they win, the amount is just deducted from the prize. If they didn't and they refuse to pay up, then that particular dealer would likely refuse them service next time. Or the kid just calls his dad to beat them up.

Same for the dealer, if he refuses to pay the prize he'll likely get mobbed or ostracized for being cheat. This is a community game, everyone knows everyone and there are consequences for transgressing norms.

Lol. Seems like it's not a very wise term for gambling if thwy allow credit 😁. This game doesn't look like a lot of people actually play it since basketball is popular only in certain areas around the world. But it can be a decent online gambling game for basketball fans. The way i see it, it's not as difficult to win here compared to lottery games but much harder compared to regular sport bets.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 29, 2019, 05:04:26 AM
Why is anyone not talking about Celtics winning against Milwaukee in game 1?

Because Milwaukee loss in game 1? LOL.
We have a lot of Bucks fans here, including me of course, and I'm surprise with a huge upset in game 1.

I can't say it's actually an upset bro. These two teams are quite evenly matched and the bucks aren't the clear favorites esecially with playoff experience going for the celtics. Though i can see that it doesn't really affect giannis and the young bucks, i'm leaning a little bit for a celtics win, probably 4-2. Without lebron in the picture, we're finally going to see a raptors vs celtics in the east finals lol.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC on: April 27, 2019, 11:34:50 AM
It's the difference crypto makes when it comes to anonymity that makes a lot of gamblers opt to use it. No personal information, just them  and their unique wallets. Take that away and these people will lose the reason they chose crypto casinos in the first place. For reputable sites, gamblers will be more at ease submitting kyc's but that makes little difference from regular online gambling already.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The longer you play poker the better you become ? on: April 27, 2019, 11:04:04 AM
What do you think can be a consistent winning player on this game? is this game of skills or luck?
the longer you play more skills you get?

Porker is my favorite game becasue it winnings come as a result of playing everyday to become  professional. Some time ago, i good friend of mine taught me how the game of porker work, he told me to play always, watch the players always and will win always even though there will be looses, it will be minimal. "The longer you play porker, the better you become" as a player.

^^^^ i think what you meant was poker dude not porker lol 😁 no one is guaranteed of a consistent winning strategy when you play poker but your chances significantly increases the more you play and the more you immerse yourself in the game. Those professional poker players don't always win. But they have a better chance of winning every hand if they go against me and you because of their years of experience.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PokerStars fined $10,000 on: April 27, 2019, 10:47:14 AM
You called this the highest sports betting fine? Is $10,000  that big for the largest poker website in the world? I guess they can afford to pay, as they probably making way more than this on  a daily basis.

I don't think that is the highest sports betting, and I am sure that they get more than that and that amount is not too big for them and they can easily to give that money Grin
The gambling industry is using huge money, and we know that there is much big company can earn more than that amount.
If you know some gambling site that gives a $10,000 fine then put it here but so far that was the highest fine I've ever seen in the gambling casino history. They may pay that fines but i think there is a certain day that their sites will have to stop from an operation. So it's still a bad time for them since they were punished.

It did say specifically that it' the highest betting fine only for the state of new jersey, so there should be larger fines probably in other states like nevada. But to also consider that this should be a grave offense, i agree that the fine is a little to lenient. A big gambling site like that can pay 10,000 every week without flinching lol.or they could just be thinking of sanctioning college sports in betting.

311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing casino games online a good idea? on: April 26, 2019, 09:40:54 AM
I think it is great that you can play casino games on your device where ever you are. You should not be limited to only be able to gamble on physical casinos, not everyone lives with a casino in the neighborhood.
I guess the net effect will be the same, all of us has some itch to scratch so whether we are at home or did go out in a traditional based casino, we are going to put money on the line and gamble. But again, I do love going out in casinos although from time to time I played online as well.

Everyone's doing it already anyway. If you're a gambling fanatic, it doesn't matter where you gamble. As you said, the itch will be there to place bets and gambling online is the quickest way to scratch that itch. There are probably a few gamblers remaining who are exclusively playing in physical casinos nowadays because even old folks have learned to gamble online.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Promoting Gambling on: April 26, 2019, 08:05:58 AM
I expect people to do their own research before making a deposit.

I have the same opinion and I don't feel guilty for promoting a gambling site.

I've been doing it for years now and I'm always with the same casino since the beginning of their campaign and the beginning of my signature advertising on this forum. I weren't mistreated. I did not see any case of them mistreating their customers and therefore I'm not planning to stop what I'm doing.

Promoting Gambling is not bad as long as you are promoting the right trustful site. I too promote sites but in the end I do say that if you decide to gamble, gamble at your own risk. The main reason for this is that if the person loss in gambling, he would not be able to blame me wrongly.

Most of these gambling sites, especially the older ones are quite similar to each other in terms of reliability. But people promoting them should at least have an idea of what it's like gambling in them. Like for me, i play in stake.com every once in a while ever since i started wesring their signature and i can say i've had a good time so far with dice and baccarrat when i have nothing to do.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on an insect fight? on: April 26, 2019, 08:01:21 AM
In my town there are ants that only appear once a year and it is common for children to capture one and start a fight against others ants.

San Juan Ants also known as Chicatanas

This made me think ...  What would happen if this took a step forward and stopped being just a children's game?

How would it be if you could bet?
How would the people see it , its just as crazy as a dog or a cock fights?
What do you think?

Well, i have heard about spider and cock fighting, but Ant fighting it is a new idea on betting wise. But I have seen ants games in mobile, but not for bet. So this will be new introduction in gambling, and i hope people will like it to play and bet on it. Actually in gambling all new things i like it.

It's not going to go beyond childrens and urban villages' past time gambles i think. That kind of gambling won't make it far in the actual gambling scene even if it's played online. I've heard about all these exotic bettings before and they seem to be getting support only from local communities, mostly from the ones where they came from. I wouldn't mind though to make a bet probably once or twice if given a chance 😁
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling sites needs to be a mobile friendly or not? on: April 26, 2019, 07:52:53 AM
I used to gamble only in real field casinos because it gives me more thrill and excitement if i see all my co gamblers too.But i think it is very important too to have a mobile friendly for casinos because it what gives more comfort and security to all gamblers who don't have more time to play outside and can only gamble on their smartphones. It also creates special bond between the site and the gambler itself.
I think that's is acceptable reason to have a gambling site which is also mobile friendly then stated in your gamblers that doesn't have time to travel to casino will only need to get his/her smartphone then access the site smoothly and less hassle compare to real field casinos and in addition to your post about experiencing more thrill and excitement well, there's more that you can also enjoy gambling in casinos on-hand/personally.

I think people right now have high mobility from one place to another place in a short time and it makes them work with their mobile phone or their laptop. So when that person is often to gamble, then he could use his mobile phone to visit the gambling website and then he can play in any places. It will give him an easy way to play and don't have to stay in one place for a long time because he can move to another place and continue to play the game.

Yes, you are right most of the people will show much interest towards the gambling website but it should be more user-friendly because he cannot keep on carrying his laptop to every place, so the mobile phone is always convenient for them to gamble when they have free time. Most of the people are looking for which gambling website is convenient for them to gamble through mobile.

Precisely, due of a modern technology, mobile is accessible for every people to communicate and it is a good advantage for every gambler to locate on which place are suit enough to chill and play off. Spending time to enjoy and release the stress from hardwork. And it is convenient for us to play the game without difficulties, because it make our life easier to enjoy and have fun by managing our own time.

Every gambler will bother much about his convenience because most of the people cannot keep on gambling in offline, now owners gambling websites made it is easier for them to gamble through mobile itself. This makes them easier for the gambler to gamble it any time they want when they want to refresh from their work stress.

Yeah it does benefit frequent gamblers since it's obviously s lot easier to gamble on a mobile site than the actual site itself, especially if you're using a smaller device. Newer gambling sites are already getting it done and i can say that i'm having a good time playing with stake's mobile version since you can even make a shortcut icon for it for easier access.
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The longer you play poker the better you become ? on: April 25, 2019, 06:12:02 PM
If you are play poker depends to you card you get and that is luck and depends you if you are going to win or not.
Even you play poker short time only if you are lucky you win not determine your winning if you play longtime.
The best you do if you play gambling is do your best to win and do some startegy if you needed to win .

i saw a youtube video for PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2019, and there are a people who raise while his hand just 9 3
and he doesn't have a pair but still winning in that play

Thats what you call provoking the opponents. You can opt to not show your cards after they fold. Thats what I was talking about, to keep your self unpredictable, so that your opponent will never ever guess whenever you have a good cards or bad.

That just goes to show that poker is far from being just a game of luck and this situation tells us that a skilled and experienced player, who knows how to read situations, can turn a bad hand into a good one simply by making his opponents doubt because he raised. That'sa move made by veteran poker players and you 'll seldom see a newbie play their hands that way.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How good Stake.com is? on: April 25, 2019, 04:40:40 PM
It may seem that i'm a bit biased since i'm carrying their signature but i've played with stake.com and i can say it passes for a good, trustworthy, interesting gambling. Pretty easy to use as well and a mobile version that makes it a lot easier for people on the go to pass time gambling. To put it simply, don't take our words for it, get an account yourself and try it out.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling Versus Traditional Gambling on: April 25, 2019, 04:35:15 PM
What are the differences between online and traditional gambling ? Which you like the most and why ? In my opinion both the types of gambling have got their own advantages and disadvantages. You can try both for some time and then choose one based on your convenience.
The difference between online and traditional gambling is certainly very different. Different in terms of online gambling You must need internet access and do not need to leave home to do gambling. And if of course you have to leave the house and look for gambling places around your house. For now I prefer online gambling because in my opinion online gambling is certainly very easy to do and everyone can do that.
If you are active in crypto, there is no way you won't love online gambling.
With lots of gambling sites here, we can be attracted to play as we can easily do it every at a small minimum amount.

So, with the many online gambling sites, of course that makes people prefer to play online gambling compared to traditional gambling. I'm sure nowadays more people play online gambling sites compared to traditional gambling. And it must be remembered, online gambling is certainly very easy for me.
Because online gambling site is far away on traditional gambling because there are instances that traditional gambling is too much consumable time when you are going there but in online just a minute you can gamble when you open your gadget and majority used is the laptop. We are now on modern civilization and fin-tech is applicable to gambling platform that they usually use cryptocurrency where is easy to wager.
That's why people now prefer gambling online compared to traditional gambling. Many people now leave traditional gambling and go to online gambling. The reason is easy to access because there are so many online gambling sites nowadays and don't spend time out of the house.  Wink

You should also consider that when you gamble online, with so much accessibility and comfort, you're likely to spend more time gambling that when you're at an actual casino. People will be more prone to getting addicted if they spend more time playing and i think that's a downside for the ease and accessibility of online gambling. Not to mention that even minors would easily have access to them.
318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your favorite kind of lottery? on: April 25, 2019, 04:26:50 PM

What is your favorite / preferable kind of lottery:

1. Active or passive approach:

Active: you need to guess winning numbers your self (like 6/45 etc.)

Passive: just buy ticket and wait if the ticket is lucky or not

2. Odds or prize amount?

Will you choose a lottery game with higher odds but lower prize, or lower odds but huge jackpot?

3. Reasonable ticket price?

Thank you everyone who joins the discussion.

I've always had the passive approach when it comes to games that entirely rely on luck. I believe that these things are destined for someobe and if you're fated to win the lottery, you will whatever approach you pick. And since it's all about luck, i'd go with lower odds with the maximum jackpot possible. Again if you're destined to win you will.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 149: Overeem vs Oleinik Prediction and Info Thread on: April 25, 2019, 04:21:31 PM
In case you guys wan't to know the results of this event, below are the results

Main Card (ESPN+)

Alistair Overeem def. Alexey Oleinik via KO/TKO in Round 1 at 4:45
Islam Makhachev def. Arman Tsarukyan via Decision
Sergei Pavlovich def. Marcelo Golm KO/TKO in Round 1 at 1:06
Devin Clark def. Ivan Shtyrkov Cancelled
Roxanne Modafferi def. Antonina Shevchenko via Decision
Krzysztof Jotko def. Alen Amedovski via Decision

Preliminary Card (ESPN+)

Movsar Evloev def. Seung Woo Choi via Decision
Sultan Aliev def. Keita Nakamura via Decision
Alexander Yakovlev def. Alex da Silva Coelho via Submission (modified guillotine choke)
Shamil Abdurakhimov def. Marcin Tybura via TKO at Round 2 3:15
Michal Oleksiejczuk def. Gadzhimurad Antigulov via KO at Round 1 0:44
Magomed Mustafaev def. Rafael Fiziev via TKO at Round 1 1:26

Can't say i expected much from this fight anyway. Yeah overeem won but i don't consider these two as top tier in the heavyweight division. Overeem has seen better days even if his physique still looks awesome. And even during his prime, he didn't have what it takes to dominate a division the way jds, brock and even cain did during their times.

Q1: less than 10 dollars. Though there are certain times i exceeded especially for poker games.

Q2: 150 dollars. But that was when btc value was closer to 1k. Would've been bigger by today's value.

Q3: Bitcoin. With a few doges but most of the time it's btc.
