301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: October 27, 2016, 02:02:14 PM
Sigh

Meanwhile, here in Australia we still wanna find a bullion dealer who'll accept cryptos. But no go -- can you spell 'onerous regulatory environment'?

But Living Room of Satoshi* might be the answer. Watch this space (you Australians):

L.R.o.S. is a company that allows you (no account required) to pay such things as phone and electricity bills with crypto . . . if the company in question has a 'Bpay number' -- thousands of Oz businesses do. The premium is v. low IMHO, and they accept DASH.

[How far in the boonies am I? Here's a baby dinosaur in my garden: http://imgur.com/a/sltog ]

im glad there is more than a couple of us here ...

i use cointree - and have done since their beginning ... no issues - smooth transactions - and now they have implemented a btc / altcoin swap with dash included ...

we are building such an online shop for granite ( grn ) - but is still a way off ... this can easily be 'tuned' to dash and the payment processor that we have envisaged can be setup for various systems / coins ... its all inhouse at the moment - but should have a working system in the coming months ...

this means that 'theshop' can pretty much have anything we allocate for sale - within australian guidelines and laws of course - and have the payments processed in milliseconds ...

the prototype 'sorta' works - but requires a lot more work and tweaking ... then there is the security side we need to work on - once its all functional ...

btw - where about are you located? ...

302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]B3 Hybrid POW/POS [X11] - ANTI-INSTAMINE, NO PREMINE, NO ICO, NO IPO[ANN] on: October 27, 2016, 12:55:25 AM
I still haven't been able to stake anything. How long does it take ? There was another coin that also said 0 network weight same as b3 but it staked and worked. B3 just doesn't seem to want to stake.
Do you have up to 1000 B3 coins? You will stake better if you have more coins.

Remember that B3 is till being POW mined, so POW mining is consuming a lot of blocks.

I used to have similar problem for many days, but things should resolve after a few days/

PoW shouldnt make any difference to the stake reward mate ...

the percentage for staking stays the same - just the weight changes ... so when you have more coins - you stake more often - but you still get the same percentage ...

so if you have a small amount of coins - it will stake - just much slower - no matter what the PoW hashrate is ...

the code has compiled successfully ...

after some testing tomorrow - ill setup the full nodes and sync them all if all the tests go well ...

Market danger delist, need more volume Smiley

Low volume is the the mechanism for filtering out coins that are not performing.

MUE needs more communication and action to avoid loss of confidence. Come on guys, let's rock and roll.

This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on Friday, October 28th 2016 unless the average daily trade volume for the last 14 days exceeds 0.3 BTC. PS. What's the game plan? Or what can DEV / Community do? Thoughts... Ideas?

The low volume on trex is a symptom of the delays, which is understandable.
I've e-mailed trex about our plans, PM'd them in Slack, and posted in the Slack channel.
Volume has picked up and we have engaged with them, one would hope they would make the pragmatic decision and keep us listed.

We are at the very near end game of the new X11/MN wallets.
We are experiencing some issues compiling, which is occuring at the very late stages of the compile process.
As you can see from our github https://github.com/muecoin/monetaryunit-x11 plenty has and is being done.
We just need to tweak these last few gremlins.

Again, I'm sorry for the delays, we are just people trying to fit into our spare time to make this project a success, and with most things, there are always little obstacles that get in the way.
We're just in the process of kicking the hell out of them to move them Smiley

Thanks for your continued support, it is sincerely appreciated.

what compilation issues are you experiencing ...

id be interested in having a go also ...

i dont know debian based systems well enough ...

if something breaks under my watch - it can cause some issues bumba ... and im not willing for that to happen with something as important as seednodes and daemons ...

we have found a few issues and have prepared to fix a few things ... josh is doing a whole lot in the backend for the fix ...

as for me - ill maintain the redhat systems ... too many of them now to relearn Wink ...

the new fedora 24 x64 server is brilliant - but uses gcc61 - so breaks the compilations in a lot of coins ... until they upgrade the syntax to the new gcc611 ...

may end up going with the fedora 23 x64 server - which works as it does not have the crippled openssl integrated and the secp256k1 curve and gcc53 ... then upgrade later when all the coin devs catch up with the new c++ version ...

isnt this fun? ... NOT!!! ... hehehe ...

#crysx

any reason why not install older gcc on fedora24 ??

its too much work - as gcc61 is inherent in fedora 24 ...

of course it can be done ... i guess its more s more a time / effort situation than anything else ...

ill setup a development machine just for this - and see what happens ... not using any production machines to 'play' Smiley ...

time wastage again? ...

chat tomorrow - im off ...

hi all ...

all dns is fully functional ...

new granite seednodes have now been hardcoded into the core grn code ...

there are 7seednodes currently - with the provision for the full 25seednodes when the new nodes come online in the coming months ... ALL these nodes are cwi owned ( inhouse ) - and the new seednodes will be provisioned when the systems are allocated to the different datacenters worldwide - for full distributed seeding 'just in case' any of the datacenters fall over for any reason ...

today ill be working on the b3coin compile - as well as the nevacoin compile ... we are happy to be supporting active projects like these - with active devs who are giving their support to us also - by promoting our flagship project - granite ( grn ) - their communities and threads ...

tomorrow i will be taking the day off - as i have worked through the weekend to get a lot of backend issue rectified ... i need a rest ...

steven ( our core dev ) is working on a paper wallet for granite - and this will be available very shortly for use ... the base code is complete - and testing is underway ...

we are also working very closely with our isp - and the backbone systems are under review ... this means we will start work on these systems and the full backend revamp will start as soon as a this ( and a few other attached works-in-progress ) is finalized ... this includes the seednodes mentioned above ...

I have got it working now but not under the staking tab it says the network weight is 0 ?
Why is it saying this ? It can't be zero since I can't be the only one staking.

you can try going into the debug console
type
getstakinginfo

but my theory is that the "weight" actually needs to be divided by 100000000 to be useful Smiley
which puts the expected time value out.

i havent got around to chciking out my theory, but the numbers seem wrong, and possibly dividing as above would make more sense.

I get this error when I type in getstakinginfo I get this:

"enabled" : true,
"staking" : true,
"errors" : "",
"currentblocksize" : 1000,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"pooledtx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 0.00024414,
"search-interval" : 16,
"weight" : 1041232867,
"netstakeweight" : 27791,
"expectedtime" : 0

What does it even mean ? Why is this coin such a pain in the arse ? Endless issues. I could have been staking for a long time but now I lose out on so much interest Sad How can expected time be 0 ? There is says the netstakeweight is 27791 yet on the wallet is says 0....

It is not an error it is gui wrong calculation. It can be fixed by just a line. But I am on to fix secp256 issue first
thank you for addressing secp256k1 along with boost issue which cyrs mentioned few posts back

we are working on a fix ...

i am testing one of the suggestions today - that josh put forward ... i didnt have time yesterday ...

another coffee - job search for contracts - then get stuck into it ...

i need to have a fix for another coin today who is also waiting on a node setup ... so my time is full today and will be going through till the late eveingin ...

taking tomorrow off - as i need a rest ... didnt take any time out over the weekend ...

we will get through this ... josh and limxdev are good knowledgable guys ...

Can someone say what ports should be opened in order for wallet to work behind a firewall?

in the op mate Smiley ...

Code:
Hash algorithm: SpreadX11
Total supply: 20 million
Block time: 1 minute
Block halving: smoothly halved every 4 years
Initial block reward: 6.66 SPR
Port: 41678
RPC-Port: 41677

forward / allow rpcport above ...

#crysx

Don't let the rpcport through the firewall,
only the normal port (41678)

rpcport should only be accessed through localhost or local network.

-sf-

why not? ...

if you have a solid rpcpassword=xxx - there is no need to be worried ... the daemon produces one for you if you havent got a conconf ( or credentials in the con ) - and they are very solid passwords ...

even brute force would take way too long to crack ...

besides - without the rpcport - you cant access the api - as far i know ...

i havent tested though ...

wallet does not work and tried everything. I did what you told me and does not work. delete all and does not work. putting probe of a archovo and does not work.

Same here. It was working after I added that huge list of nodes but not anymore. It is stuck at block 11702 it won't sync and I'm left with a transaction that is not staking since it is unconfirmed since it can't catch up because it's stuck on block 11702.

I am connected to 2 nodes and the wallet opens and closes fine it just won't sync.
Make sure that you are using B3 v3.2.1

~snip~

Ok I have done all those things and I am now waiting to sync again.
Thank you for the help. Now I know what was wrong Smiley

we are working closely with josh to get the compilation issues under wraps ...

when that happens - seednodes will be on their way ... and from what i understand - the next version of the wallet / daemon - will have them hardcoded ...

if not - they will still be able to be used in the conf file - though that is the one method that usually causes the most issues ...

soon ...

Baikal mini miner, mining Quark at ~151.8 MH/s using 24.9 W from the wall.
Temp of miner 26 C.

Time since restart, about 5 minutes.

awesome ...

how do the other algos compare? ...

my assumption that the similar hashrates will cause increases ( and decreases ) in power consumption depending on the algo used - may not be unfounded ...

do you mind testing the other algos for 7minutes at a time and taking measurements also? ...

tanx ...

#crysx

Maybe user

I will write the results here.
can help out, I don't have the time just right now.

But as the stats show on Baikals website, the different algos give about 150 MH/s each, but with various wattage draws. Ranging from Quark as the lowest (~25W) to X15 as the highest (~48W), which is pretty much to be expected.

still ...

at 48w max ... its still a damned site better draw than most gpu cards out there ...

im convinced that they are a good investment for thefarm now ... ive contacted them earlier - but wanted real world stats ...

now to get the damned cash together - and spend it all on them ...

who wants to buy a car Wink ... hehehe ...

crysx probably dreams about those bitcoins masterscammer promised him.

Loyalty to people well known for no loyalty to anyone is something I am not able to understand.

my dreams have nothing to do with any of your petite little ideas of rich and i ...

i work completely on the premise that one good turn deserves another ... and that if a bad turn is dished your way - counter simply by not trusting again ...

when you burn your bridge with me - and i am disappointed in you - it is VERY hard to come back from that ... not impossible to come back from disappointment - but very very difficult ... if i were angry at you - that is a good thing ... it means i care enough to give a damn ... disappointment - well that is another animal altogether - and really disassociates me from any feeling ...

loyalty? ... ummm ... ok ...

when you watch people DIE for the right to live yours - then you will understand loyalty ...

but - ill let it be with you ...

First time being called a shill lmao! If u lost money too bad, move on. Are you going to cry forever over 1.3 btc?

yup - first time for me too ... EVER ...

TWAT - now there is a word that wouldnt be a first for either i would imagine ...

sheesh! ...

im off to bed ... im tired from REAL work on the vps solutions and integrations of the daemons for nodes that are supporting OTHER coins as well as this one ...

#crysx

crysx, relax man... It is sure pretty silly to call you a shill, but this BitBerau guy is new to this forum, and he is getting desperate to return the money he was robbed of.

If you read what he posted on his thread, you will clearly see he was scammed by this mtr guy. That is as clear as day (to anyone who took the time to familiarize himself with the topic), but other thing is also clear - he will not return his money, as the mtr guy has no integrity, but instead has strong ability to mislead people and skills to manipulate and hide the truth.

Its too often one could get disgusted reading this forum... Unfortunately too many people are attracted here by the smell of easy money, and they are ready to make money in any possible ways and methods, often without reservation Undecided

Alas... it is pity an honest guy like you supports that dishonest person. There is just one way to explain that phenomenon: I think you are too different from him, to understand how crooked he is in reality.

morning drays ...

as a respected member of most of the communities on here - your advice always seems logical and well thought ...

rich has never done ME wrong - and in a lot of ways - i do what i can to help those that seems to be doing the right thing ...

i dont have a bad thing to say about rich himself - what he does with that that is within in his power is entirely up to him and those that wish to deal with rich ... i still deal with rich - as like i mentioned - he has never shown any form of malice or 'scam' tendencies toward me - my team ( aka 'theteam' ) or toward the projects we have ( granite being the flagship of course ) ... i am not saying i agree with EVERYTHING rich has done - but that is entirely up to rich to do - as he ahs it all in his power to do ...

i feel for bitberau - as he feels like he has been scammed in to making false trades ... when i speak of due diligence - i speak generally and of what peopel should do in general - not targetted at bitbeurau or anyone specifically when i say EVERYONE needs to have their eyes open when ANYTHING is done off their own accord ...

i had respect for 8bit also - see that - HAD ... the past posts and comments prove how civil and concerned i was with his well being in this thread - and others ... BUT he became a complete imbecile in my eyes - and in the eyes of many - sue to his incessant bleating of repetitive statements made again rich ... which is his right to - as is richs right to respond or not ... but the moment he calls me a scammer as well - and now being called a shill - ill defend my position in every way i can ...

i have just finished a three month contract in the 'real world' which has enabled me to rebuild the infrastructure that i built from the ground up ... ME - all my decisions ... the pitfalls of taking advice from others and putting them into motion is MY decision only ... regardless of what advice i was given ... it was up to ME to do my due diligence and conceive a plan to grow the infrastructure AND code to where it is now ... dissecting the advice and rearranging and then discarding it or using in full or part thereof - is entirely a sole mechanism ...

which is what i was getting at - its bit beurau decision to move or not move - regardless of the advice given him by ANYONE ...

every decision has its consequence ... 8bit decides to become an incessantly bleating sheep - there are consequences for his actions ...

the same for me - you or anyone else - including rich ... no one is above that ...

i just woke anyway - slept in too long on a sunday morning ...

btw - all the seednodes will be changed to <coin>-seed<count>.chainworksindustries.com - as the nameservers and dns has propagated worldwide now - and all has been setup ... ie - mtr-seed01.chainworksindustries.com is the new seed ... discussion for the new systems that will be spread globally in different areas worldwide will be finalized soon also - which means the actual nodes will be redone - rebuilt - and spread worldwide in different datacenters around the world - with different ip ( c-class ) adresses ...

this is what is taking so long to do - which is delaying every project we have currently ... especially the migration of the seednodes ...

anyway - coffee and wake - and back to work ... which is somethign i will not be doing if i can help it on weekends from now on ... Tongue ...

#crysx
Crysx, please understand that MTR has completely lied to me and has scammed me, he has guaranteed that if we go on a loss, he will provide me a refund. I PAID .78 for rubbish advice which I LOST money on.

Now, you are not admitting this obvious fact, instead you are taking my words out of context and using that against me, insulting me and telling me to get lost and not try to resolve this issue..

Now imagine the person you made a contract with, fucked you over by not acting according to the agreements, will you sit on your hands like a dumbass or get your money back?
Exactly.

Now, in my and others eyes you are a complete shill, unless you admit the truth, instead of hiding it, like Master Trader.

And your coinfello friend, all he does is repeat what you say. LOL

The truth won't be hidden.

bitberau ...

in your eyes - is where the issue remains ...

i dont know the deal between you and rich ... nor do i know the context in which it was made - nor do i know whether you kept your side of the bargain - or he kept his ...

what i DO know ...

when you enter into an arrangement / agreement - and you feel like you have been misled or misdirected or ripped off - then agreed - you DO need to rectify it ...

but how do you rectify it? ... lets see - set up a scam thread - accuse and abuse - then call ME a shill in the name of respect? ... how do you intend on getting ANYTHING let alone respect - if you show none yourself? ...

even if all you say is true - and all rich says is false ... even if ... what do you achieve by bastardizing the guy you want the money back from - AND - continue with the degradation with someone like me? ... who will go out his way to help ...

the advice i have given - and will repeat for the last time - is simple ... DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE ...

i can promise anything that will make it look like the sun shines out your bum - and you send me btc on the promise that if you bend over and the sun DOESNT shine out your bum - then ill give you your money back ... if i dont refund you - then its expected that you will try and recover your monies anyway you can ... but what do you think this is when you call me a shill - a scammer - etc ... is there a governing entity that will force me to refund it - unless you actually consider yourself civil enough to contact me over and over and ask? ...

in your eyes - by abusing the person - you will get a positive result ... hehehe ... come on mate ...

luckily for me - i dont enter into these sorts of arrangements ...

and top complicate this further - its his word against yours - as there are way too many variables in this type of arrangement ... that one or the other can say - no you didnt do what i asked - or the other can say - yes i did do exactly as you asked ... what a mess! ...

but the point of all this is STILL that you need to be diligent - whether its rich or me or anyone ...

and yet this advice i freely give you - to learn and be diligent with who and what you spend your btc on - means im still a shill in your eyes ( and others as well ) ... pffft ... so be it mate ...

what i see in my eyes - and in the eyes of others - is a man that trusted another and feels like he has been jilted and ripped - but can do nothing else other than accuse and name call - to get a positive outcome from the guy he is accusing and abusing ...

that really doesnt make sense in anyones language ...

i DO understand where you are at - but you need to understand that in THIS industry - i have seen REAL rippoffs happen - so have the world ...

DUE DILIGENCE ... remember and look up the meaning of these words ...

if i had an issue with rich - i deal with it directly with him ... and i have ... my mind is a stern place mate - and i speak it when necessary ... and because of that - there are no issues like this that arise from any type arrangement ... not with rich - or anyone else i deal with ... hence why my trust factor is what i gauge anyone or any company on ... because trust is earned - not taken ...

i certainly hope you resolve your issues with rich ... but even moreso - i hope you heed my advice to have your eyes opened and make the preventative research that you need to do - so you dont feel the way you are feeling now - in any future dealings with ANYONE ...

good luck mate ...

hi all ...

update ...

the chainworksindustries.com domain nameservers have been successfully changed - and the service has finished propagating worldwide ...
the chainworksindustries.com dns names have been assigned and is currently fully functional worldwide ...
the chainworksindustries.com website is currently being planned and designed ...
the granitecoin.com dns system will be slowly shutdown - but the domain itself will remain ...
the inhouse projects will be assigned separate pages within the website - and have already been assigned dedicated servers and systems for each project ...
the external projects that cwi support - will have their own area dedicated within the website also ...
my friend and business associate ( in fact - he and his brothers ) which takes care of the business matters - will be organizing all the business affairs from domain registrations to business registrations and payments to the upkeep of that side of this enterprise ... especially the money side ...

the entire infrastructure is being rebuild from the ground up ... especially - but not limited to - the granite seednodes and seednodes for the projects we support ...

the rebuild of the infrastructure requires a massive amount of effort - time - and a huge amount of money to under go the revamp ... so time and patience is what is asked ...

this will include 25 new seednode systems - distributed worldwide in various datacenters ...
the incorporation of the seednodes within the website ...
much more vps systems / nodes to cater for the growing size of the projects we are doing ...
the pool system ( already in alpha with currently the lodiff stratums active - about to go beta when the hidiff stratums are in place ) to be integrated into the web site ...
theshop will also be incorporated within the chainworks industries website - and is undergoing a full transformation - which should be in alpha to be tested in the coming months ...
thefarm undergoing a full revamp and complete upgrade - which will make it one of the larger gpu farms in the southern hemisphere ... this is an entity all its own ...

thefarm itself is a single working unit - but will soon comprise of segments of miners ...

these already include nvidia gpu - amd gpu ( will go live in the coming months ) ... but will also contain the asic range of miners - asic sha256 - asic scrypt ... and will have a dedicated segment to thefarm which will be primarily for the multialgo asic miners - currently the baikal miners ( and similar in the near furture ) - classed under the 'asic combo' miners x11 / x13 / x14 / x15 / quark / quibit ...

ALL these segments of thefarm will be running soon - while currently only the nvidia segment is functional and getting a full software / hardware revamp next month ... the complete nvidia gpu upgrade will not happen until the 1080ti and above is released ...

ultimately - we will be funneling these systems through a rental system - that the communities will have access to also ... and the ultimate goal of integrating it all - wallets sized and accessible anywhere via the wallets ...

we will cover a great deal more where and when we can ...

2016 was the base build - the foundation of the future of cwi ...
2017 will be the year that we start to build on that foundation - and make cwi a player on a global scale ...

much more work to be done - and theteam will not stop until we can get everything running and fully functional ...

i may even change the way i write to the formal grammatically correctness of the english format i normally have in the 'real life' world ... maybe Wink ...

The code on GitHub is updated to version 1.3 if anyone wants to compile it.

Compiled binaries will be released in the following days, I might change other things before I make an official release.

Current changes:
-remove Alert functionality (
-disconnect from nodes older than protocol 65005 (all pre-fork nodes)
-remove mining button (difficulty too high to be usable anymore, setgenerate still works)
-added additional seed nodes
-add checkpoints

It is not a mandatory update. If you want to use the gui mining button in the wallet keep using v1.2.3.

Baikal mini miner, mining Quark at ~151.8 MH/s using 24.9 W from the wall.
Temp of miner 26 C.

Time since restart, about 5 minutes.

awesome ...

how do the other algos compare? ...

my assumption that the similar hashrates will cause increases ( and decreases ) in power consumption depending on the algo used - may not be unfounded ...

do you mind testing the other algos for 7minutes at a time and taking measurements also? ...
