Very nice. Good to see people doing more with bitcoin, may pick up a few.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is BTC-E down? on: March 06, 2013, 10:37:05 PM
It's works without problem, for now. If you can't connect now, this means that your IP got banned by Qrator filtration system. Write e-mail to support and he will add your IP into whitelist Smiley

LOL would have thought they would move the whitelist from cloudfare as support added me their. Ill shoot him a email if it plays up again thanks. And thanks jay Tongue

Two days ago AVG (Anti Virus Gold) updated and decided it should delete cgminer.exe and the zip file I got it from.

Grrr....

What is MSE?

AVG Free doesnt pick any of them up as a virus. For anyone using windows i reccomend Kaspersky has done so much good for every machine ive used it on. also doesent pick up the bitcoin stuff as viruses.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People acting like pooler? Selling Litecoinpool.org accounts? on: March 06, 2013, 10:13:37 AM
actually he started swearing and support banned him it was a funny night
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is BTC-E down? on: March 06, 2013, 10:00:14 AM
They switched back from CloudFlare to Qrator.net. Admin said that CloudFlare is shit and it can't do anything with attack. I agree with him, CloudFlare is nothing in comparison with Qrator Cheesy

agreed cloudfare was always down. but so is this new one its liek its being run on the back on a moving truck. up and down up and down so annoying lol
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is BTC-E down? on: March 06, 2013, 02:24:27 AM

307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is BTC-E down? on: March 05, 2013, 11:31:56 PM

All good keep at it. I can get on the site but withdrawals are disabled so i cant get my funds out of their either. Everyone is starting to get pissed because we have no status updates so we dont know what is going on.

Are people talking on the chat?

What is everyone saying?

By the way bitinstant is also COMPLETELY down.

just the normal stuff really apart from a few people who are annoyed which you can understand. Also last i heard bitinstant was gone? youll have to ask them or someone else to confirm that tho.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is BTC-E down? on: March 05, 2013, 11:19:51 PM
An official notice would help. It's an exchange, I think people are expecting at least a quick official "all is well don't panic" announcement at least. Instead of course we rightfully freak out. They should keep a twitter or a blogspot page just to keep up dated when the server is down.

i 100% agree with you. even a tiny notice at the top of the page or something. 5 seconds of HTML to do that. or an announcement on the troll box.

OK there was a 99 Billion dollor buy order for btc then suddenly the site 404's. Looks like they have been hacked.

What happens to people who had funds on there? :/

all good dev made an error and he corrected it. Nothing was hacked and nothing happened all is good

But the site is still down for me? How are you able to get the site to load please

Same 503 error for me since 1 hour

Could be because a while back i got support to add me to the whitelist. Also depends on your location sometimes. Give it some time trades are still down at the moment.

How can we trust you? Whitelist? This sounds fishy.

This was when they first went to cloudfare Supports words not mine. You dont have to believe me im jsut trying to help you figure out why you cant connect. I really dont see how it could sound "fishy"

Sorry just very upset because I had a big sum on there that I only bought this week and was going to cash out at the weekend but hadn't got around to it Sad

310  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the best Linux distros to use for mining? on: March 05, 2013, 10:59:07 PM
Ubunto and debian seem to work nice. Just be careful what drivers you use on your cards. trust me it makes a huge difference.
Ive actually found that windows works best cause the drivers and SDK are better. Im still messing around tho Smiley

No, don't even use Ubuntu. Unity is good, but it'll eat your resource (Unity is built in with compiz). But *buntu family like Xubuntu or Lubuntu is fine though.

being brutally honest. Windows is the best the drivers just are not as good on linux.

319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: March 04, 2013, 04:59:28 AM
not sure if its already been covered in here but.

In my experimentation on getting the highest hashes out of a stock 5970 here are the settings myself and multiple other people use.

BTC : cgminer -o pool -u worker -p password -i 9 -v 2 -w 256 -k diablo -g 1 -s 30 -E 60 (350 - 360 kh/s per GPU)
LTC : cgminer --scrypt -o pool -u worker -p password x --shaders 1600 --intensity 18 -worksize 128 -g 1 --no-submit-stale --expiry 10 (350 mh/s per GPU)

Parts in bold are optional they make no difference to hashes

This is using cgminer 2.10.5.
