303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Relationship Thread: G/F, Wife, Significant Other...etc... Tales... on: March 28, 2013, 05:51:08 AM
My GF bitched me out last night because she said I wouldn't stop talking about Bitcoin and I wasn't paying enough attention to her and all I did was watch stupid boring charts. Then she reiterated her point that BTC is illegal and will be shutdown eventually (ironic she says that because she is an attorney and has no freaking clue what BTC is).  Then she put her hands on her hips and told me if I was making so much money I needed to take her to a nice dinner or else there was no point being together! lol!

So I am thinking of dumping her? Anyone else ended a relationship over BTC? haha

 Grin Grin
Dump the bitch! lol  Shocked
304  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sending bitcoin using email instead of bitcoin address on: March 28, 2013, 05:42:48 AM
For example, link my email to a bitcoin address and then use that email instead. Is there any security reason so people don't use email to send or receive?

look at this service, could be right direction...

oh, FRGA, SgtSpike isn't the guy selling the gift cards. as such, why does his attitude have any bearing on the product at hand?

If he is not connected with Giftcoins, then his attitude have nothing to do with the product, and you may disregard last sentence.
However, other things I said still stands.

310  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 1st Bitcoin Gift card :) on: March 26, 2013, 06:51:19 PM
Well, I'm not after anything. I'm just stating my opinion as a potential customer of (your) product.

Quote from: SgtSpike
There's still the time lag between when you buy the gift card and when you receive the code,

This is irrelevant. I can buy a git card and hold it for a while.
But when I want to redeem it, I want to know the exchange rate. Don't we all?
Nobody said "it has to be fixed rate", but MtGox rate + 10 % must be stated on the site, so I (or any buyer) can see it. And then you can write: *due to lag, exchange rate could be slighty different

Furthermore, after buyer clicks Redeem, the website can check latest price at MtGox and Alert:
You are about to exchange 100$ for 0.91217 BTC. Proceed? Yes/No
This should not present any technical problem...

Quote from: SgtSpike
...then you might want to look elsewhere...

Last but not least, if you continue with that attitude I asure you that I'm not the only one who will "look elsewhere"...

311  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 1st Bitcoin Gift card :) on: March 26, 2013, 06:20:36 PM

And there really is a simple solution for it to prevent people from feeling like they are getting ripped off:

$100*

*To be redeemed at price equivalent to MtGox + 10%

Well, this is something. That should write on the site.
That, and MtGox exchange value:

MtGox:78.82 +10%

or even better, calculated price:

Our exchange rate is: 86.702

With those writing on the site, you are covered and users will know exactly how much BTC will get when redeem...

Sold on Jagoo?

yes, they sold out all cards in a day and they bought a lot of them!

Owner sent me email that new wire transfer for new codes is on the way and as soon as we receive it new codes will be on jagoo again.

Probably later today or tomorrow

Allright, thats great! I try to buy but was sold out...

and what about this?

Quote from: frga13
But one thing, you should put currency exchange on the site, so I can know how much BTC will get after I redeem card...

Or to rephrase:
If I have 100$ card, and Mtox BTC value is 100, will I got 1 BTC or 0.9something?

318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If a guy sells his house for bitcoins how is he going to be taxed? on: March 25, 2013, 06:59:00 PM
Who knows, Canada has no laws for digital currency.

It doesn't matter.
He can say that he sold a house for 1 $, so what then? Will he pay tax on 1$? Ofcourse not...
House price would be estimated by tax experts and he will pay tax according to that price.
