301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: May 04, 2018, 05:27:09 PM
regardless, all antminers purchased can be resold on like ebay and such for higher than you paid if you buy batch 1

its almost no risk, if when received the profit has dropped off -> dump the miner to some idiot on ebay for more than you paid

So you really think people who follow crypto or BTC are idiots who show up only during a gold rush? there may be some ,but most of them does their homework before entering this market, whether for trading or mining. Don't let your prejudices fool you my friend. Earning BTC s not that easy.

302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Favourite coin to HODL right now ? on: May 04, 2018, 05:03:31 PM
The question says it all...what coin has the brightest future and is worth HODLing ?

I am also looking to invest in EOS for this crypto is very promising specially when we talk about transaction speed. I guess it will surpass Eth few years from now. It's just my opinion though.

I'm also suggesting IOST since its performance lately is very strong. This token has a lot of potential as well to increase its value by the end of the year.

Very true. I regret selling IOST which I have got from my sig campaign (had no choice but to sell to cover some expenses) , It have risen 150% over the last 30 days.

IOST is really looking strong with all the developments going on and around it. I would definitely HODL IOST long term.

While searching for details about the company Hashcore Mining and also Tronix, I have came across these information:

03 Apr 2018   First Gazette notice for voluntary strike-off   View PDF
21 Mar 2018   Application to strike the company off the register   View PDF

The First Gazette notice says:

"The Registrar of Companies gives notice that, unless cause is shown to the contrary, at the expiration of 2 months from the above date the name of

TRONIX LIMITED

Will be struck off the register and the company will be dissolved..."

Link to Company filing history from Companieshouse.gov.uk

Here is your website showing Company registration no:

I don't really understand why you would apply to strike off  the company from register and dissolve it, if you are planning to run miner hosting business? Kindly explain..

304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the start of the bull market this year? on: May 04, 2018, 04:26:42 PM
It's GREEN everywhere and most of them are looking really strong. for eg: IOSToken (which I am supporting with my sig), have risen over 150% within last 30 days - which is phenomenal. While I consider this a very bullish sign, I wouldn't however expect a bull run like what we saw last year. I hope I am wrong  Grin
305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to choose limit price (rate) for sell orders at crypto exchanges (Bittrex) on: May 04, 2018, 04:15:12 PM
I am not an expert on trading but I found this information over at a site dedicated to crypto/crypto trading.

How to set a limit order on Bittrex:

The main order type you’ll use on Bittrex is a limit order, to set a limit order use the buy form to set a “bid” price below the current “ask” price or use the sell form to set an “ask” price above the current “bid” price.

The bid price will be filled when there is a seller, the ask price will be filled when there is a buyer.

NOTE: If you set the “bid” above the current lowest ask, or the “ask” above the current lowest bid… then it’ll essentially result in a market order (use conditionals to set orders like this that you don’t want to fill right away).

TIP: Make sure to learn about the studies and the order book so you can better understand what orders are likely to fill. If you want to buy the market price, use a limit and follow the directions above.

I hope this helps, Good luck with your App.

Thanks for your reply. I am mining since around 1 year with NVIDIAs but lately I really like Monero since they will fork every 3-6 months to be ASIC resistant which is great for our mining community. My main question is;

Should I wait to buy some Vega GPUs since the Vega Nano is coming out around July/August or I buy some Vega's now? I can have them around 640 USD$/piece.

I had the rx 480 vs r9 nano when I was posting it. I can see that r9 nano (cryptonight) is around 800h/s. which is not near but almost near to rx 480. But, considering the price difference, I would go for the 480 and only consider nano if I am that restricted in space/cooling. Also must consider the big price difference.

Also, it is better to invest in mining before the rush happens.. then everything will go through the roof.

310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best exchange to trade alt coin on / The most selection and lowest on: May 03, 2018, 08:19:42 PM
I was hesitant and kind of skeptical about Binance, But they indeed prooved themselves to be kickass exchange. I used to trade on poloniex and bittrex, but now I kindof feel binance is great.

They also have no mandatory KYC if you don't need feel like submitting your docs, but the withdrawal is capped at 2BTC/Day, which I guess is pretty great for occasional traders like me. Another feature is that we can opt to pay the trading fees through BNB (Binance Coin) and would get a 50% off on fees , that is cool for people doing lots of trade. Another thing I liked about the exchange is that you can exchange all the "Dust" remaining from trades, like wheen you do ETH/BTC and you have 0.0000999 BTC left, you can exchange them to BNB which you can use to pay the exchange fees (which is great considering 50% off).

All these makes me think that it is a good exchange.
311  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise on my blog on: May 03, 2018, 08:00:01 PM
That's a great looking blog. I had a blog on philosophy once  Grin, and it was big deal to keep the blog looking neat - which your blog did an excellent job. I also like the design n style (simple and elegant).

I would suggest you contact campaign managers directly since they are very busy and I guess they would not have enough time to browse through the forums.

312  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Thoughts on DuckDuckGo? on: May 03, 2018, 07:32:35 PM
I use VPN and DuckDuckGo browser on phone whenever I browse, my fav feature is that there is a 'burn' button just near the address bar which can burn all the data and history in a single click. Pretty convenient
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW TO SPOT AN SCAM ICO on: May 03, 2018, 07:22:27 PM
Very much agree to these two:

2. VERY WEAK WHITEPAPER OR WEBSITE

3. LACK OF A CLEARLY LAID OUT ROADMAP

I remember reading the Ethereum yellow paper - Link Here. It really blew my mind seeing the sheer brilliance of that work. Also to mention the Real Deal - BTC whitepaper by Satoshi  Shocked Link here

Most of the whitepaper now seen on ICOs are just poorly made "Business Report", probably from some freelancer dude with "Crypto Background". Also the hyped and over-confident roadmaps.

I guess anyone wanting to invest in crypto in general must have a strong understanding of the underlying tech, or it is easy to get rekt by frauds like bitconnect and so on..

I would recommend everyone to read the above mentioned papers - even though they will fly above our heads.

314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Rx Vega - CryptonightV7 - mining rig on: May 03, 2018, 07:12:28 PM
Here you can see most of cards benchmarked on cryptonight algo (data may be outdated after the fork - but shouldnt have huge difference)

http://monerobenchmarks.info/

From my experience, there shouldn't really be any kind of extra ordinary difference b/w gens of graphics card as far as mining is concerned. You can check older cards and see for yourself, one major aspect is the power draw - which sometimes can get lower or higher (depending on specs), but I dont think it is much of an issue when considering the total performance h/s/w wise, also taking into consideration current price/difficutly etc..

If you are getting into mining game, make sure you are pretty sure and confident that it will give u the calculated ROI.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥[ANN][ICO] HeliosCoin - Solar Mining Cluster Technology🔥🔥🔥 on: May 02, 2018, 05:06:18 PM
how is this even technically feasible?

I mean, to even power up a single Antminer S9 or basically any miner (ASIC or GPU RIG), it would require around 1500$ worth panel and battery is sometimes not included. I don't understand how "Solar Power" can be used in such a scenario?

Kindly explain?
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any requirements for announcement threads? on: May 02, 2018, 02:41:23 PM
You can upgrade your account to be a Copper Member if you pay a fee, you can see that in the reply posted above. I guess that would be enough if you plan to use a dedicated account to manage your project here at the forum.

Good luck
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion poll. Girls are generally interested in cryptocurrency? Or on forum alon on: May 02, 2018, 02:32:54 PM
Opinion poll. Girls are generally interested in cryptocurrency? Or on forum alone guys?

Everyone gets interested in cryptocurrency when they see that others make a fortune. and most of them do the mistake of blindly investing and losing their money.

It doesn't really have to do with being a man or a woman. Everyone is equally greedy.

P.S. I didn't see no Poll here. I believe you know how to make a poll in the forum
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying cryptocurrency is speculation and gambling, not an investment? Your opini on: May 02, 2018, 02:30:49 PM
They spread FUD, crash the market when newbs panic sell and use that opportunity to buy. Investment is always a risk - there isn't ever a 100% foolproof investment in which you are guaranteed that you ll make a profit or break-even.

cryptocurrency market is very volatile for the fact that most of people who buys them are day traders and only plan to hold short term, along with people like buffet spreading fud - its easy to manipulate such a market.

Every investment needs speculation, research..even when you do that too - I think its still gambling, because no one can predict the future (not even those psychic astrologers  Grin)

How much would you charge to manage Bitcointalk Signature Bounty? $$$$

I don't think this is the proper way to address such a question, for one it isn't a general thing. You can try asking devs of project who already did campaigns in this forum.

I have no intent to spread any kind of FUD against EOS or any other token/coin. This is just me sharing something I found in reddit over here since I thought it was relevant.
