HOW TO STOP HACKERS TO HACK YOUR CRYPTO WALLET
Protect yourself from cyber criminals

Good day to all of you guys I am EdsnowAngel a programmer and a bit security tester in different platforms. Now I heard to my friends a lot of concerns saying "please help me my bitcoin wallet was hacked!!"
Ok ok first thing first when your bitcoin wallet gets compromised then your funds was send in different wallet then it is irreversible meaning no return of funds!! so I wanna tell everyone how to protect your bitcoin wallet from such kind of situation.

1st: Protect your GMAIL or EMAIL ACCOUNT

We all know we use GMAIL as our email provider for such accounts like blockchain then we can recover and approve login with email in some wallets, now when your email account was targeted and get compromised then say goodbye to your bitcoin. To secure your bitcoin wallet(ex: blockchain or other) go to your google account settings. and then turn on the 2FA(2nd factor authentication) here is the guide on how to do it: STEP BY STEP GUIDE

2nd: Use your own DEVICE or COMPUTER/PHONE

It's a very bad idea to use someones device(ex:from friend) to make a transaction in your bitcoin wallet why? because first you don't know what is the capability of that person regarding that matters and you don't know if that phone has a lot of malwares and spywares. So we cannot say that you are safe using someones device to make transactions.

3rd: Always backup you PK's or PRIVATE KEYS

This is the most important thing to remember for everyone using your ETH or BTC wallet without backing up your Private keys then you can't recover you wallet in case you forgot your wallet.PK's are very important but there are thing you should do first. Make sure you store your PK backup somewhere that you only know and not from your computer because there are some spyware that might inside of your computer that can steal that file so make sure you back it up print in a paper and hide it to the place where you only know.

4th: Don't open links from malicious emails

This method was called email phishing where an attacker will send the same email in thousands of random users once the victim will click the link in that email then his or her device was compromised to avoid this please do not click the links included in the email immediately please always have time to check who is the sender of that email and if that email is came from the site where it supposed to came from.

5th: Do not trust PUBLIC WIFI

It's quite good to have access with free wifi's but have you think this: IS THIS A SAFE NETWORK? without you knowing maybe some of the people connected to that same network may have idea and skill on how to sniff passwords and credentials this method was so called DNS SPOOFING or SNIFFING if you want to use public wifi then use it not just with your bitcoin transactions.

6th: Do not login on Suspicious links

This method is called PHISHING where an attacker  will send you a link to login with your bitcoin wallet luring you with the legitimate site example is:
the real site is: https://www.blockchain.info/
the fake site is: http://www.blockchain.ga/

then once you login to the fake site then the hacker or attacker will have now your credentials. Please always check for the green lock on the url bar and the word HTTPS in the link.

so this are some of the way to stop hackers to hack your bitcoin or crypto wallet. If you have other information then you can comment it down and lets help others.

This is a good a tips for everyone here, very informative about the attack of the hackers. In fact, the only things I knew about this was don't

just click at once in any malicious fishing site, whether in you personal email account or website wallet address like Myetherwallet or known as

MEW.
302  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be calm when the market falls on: August 19, 2018, 03:26:03 PM
since that we are in the field of trading business when the markets falls in red value, I think it is normal for the veterans traders. Which I think we don't need to be panic at all also, instead we as a traders we must take it as an opportunity then we must hold on to the coins were we knew that it has a potentials to increase its value again in the near future.

305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should continue join ico? on: July 14, 2018, 04:39:59 PM
There is an ico from the Krypital team: Merculet. The project of this team was quite successful before: Cybermiles, Arcblock. Do you think this is a good ico? Should continue to join ico in the moment?

Perhaps mate this would depend on your vibration or belief in the coins. And joining in the ICO will always depend on the individuals too.

Though, I still believed that there are ico here which is good to invest in and also good to partake too. If their team of each altcoins in the above

are always giving an updates and running in good progress , my tips is keep going to support it.
306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could the Bitcoin price by the end of 2018 only 4000$ - 6000$? on: July 14, 2018, 04:32:54 PM
It would be a terrible thing if the Bitcoin pattern is the same as in 2013-2015, it could be the end of 2018 is only about 4000 $ -6000 $, as I think if it might happen?

Let's look at the pattern in 2013-2015 below:

and this is the pattern from 2016 to the present:

What if it really happened, give your opinion? Cheesy

there's so many of you asked this question several times, and none of their opinion didn't meet the exact price value of what they've observed in

the chart. therefore, everything in the market are unpredictable were nobody can tell what would be the price value of bitcoin in the near future.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more on: July 14, 2018, 04:24:11 PM
I have already joined hundreds of airdrops but I got nothing until now. I will never join AirDrop programs any more.
- Each airdrop rewards only some token, that its value from $5 to $20 (calculated by the ICO price)
- Most of the token are dead now (just spammed projects or shit coins)
- Some tokens have been listed on Coinmarketcap now but the token price is terrible low. The value even equal to the transaction fee if I send the tokens to exchanges.

At least now you know that you've learned from your experienced dude, because in my experienced I never experience that before even up to

now because you are right, you could only get a few of token in the airdrops and worst like what you just said the mostly are already dead most

often happened.
308  Economy / Economics / Re: My Advice on Investing in Crypto on: July 14, 2018, 04:18:47 PM
Investing in cryptocurrency is a mechanism for building wealth, but it is not only for the wealthy. This is why our community is growing.  Anyone can get started investing in crypto, and various options (BTC, ALT Coins, ICO’s) make it easy to begin with small amounts of fiat and add to a build a portfolio. What differentiates investing in crypto from gambling is that it takes time!  There is not a get-rich-quick scheme.

The Definition of Investing is, “The act of committing money or capital to a venture with the expectation of obtaining an additional income or profit.”
Legendary investor Warren Buffett defines investing as “… the process of laying out money now to receive more money in the future.” The goal of investing is to put your money to work in one or more types of investment vehicles like cryptocurrency, in the hopes of growing your money over time.

Remember we invest so we can “work smarter and not harder.” If you are like me, you work hard at your job.  It doesn’t matter whether you work for a company or own your own business. We all work long hours which requires sacrifice and adds stress to our lives. Using some of our hard-earned money and investing for our future needs is the best way to make the most of what you earn.  Pay yourself first by investing.

Investing is also about setting priorities for your money. Spending is way too easy and provides instant gratification.  New clothes, exotic vacations, fancy dinners and flashy sportscars are wonderful and make life more enjoyable. However, investing requires prioritizing the needs of our financial futures over the wants of our present desires.  Investing in cryptocurrency is a way to set aside money and put that money to work for you so that you can reap the rewards of your discipline in the future. This is how you receive a solid future.

There are several different ways you can invest in cryptocurrency, including putting money into coins, tokens, ICO’s, Bounty Campaigns, etc. Every investment vehicle has its positives and negatives.  There are no guarantees of making money, but a little work on your part can increase your odds of being successful. Analysis, research and even just plain reading up on crypto can help.
No one investing strategy or approach fits all. Every investor has different reasons for investing, different goals, different time horizons and varying degrees of comfort with investing. It’s important to define and articulate your own parameters.

You must set goals.  What do you want to achieve for the money that you will be investing? Is safety of your investment with some level of return sufficient? Are you trying to grow your money for a longer-term goal? You will even have different types of investments for different goals. Before you decide to invest any money into cryptocurrency it is imperative that you understand why you are investing and the result that you desire.  Goals should never be created in a vacuum. You also need to know your risk tolerance and your time-line as part of the goal-setting process.
Risk can mean a lot of things.  Investing in cryptocurrency means you have a risk of losing money. Your money invested can decrease in value, possibly to zero.  ALL investing involves risk in one way or another. Stocks often can go down in value over periods of time, just like crypto.  Do you remember what happened in 2008?  The S&P 500 dropped by 37%. This decline in the stock market was one of the worst in history.  Severe market corrections are not uncommon, especially in cryptocurrency!

How much of a drop-in value for your investments can you tolerate? Your tolerance of this risk is a function of when you need the money.  This is your time horizon.  Usually, the younger you are the less thought you give to fluctuations in the value of your investments.  This is the volatility of an investment.  You should align your investments with your time horizon.
How long are you going stay in an investment?  Warren Buffett rarely sells a stock he owns and doesn’t get rattled by market fluctuations. This is generally known as a “buy-and-hold” strategy.  There are extreme traders who buy and sell cryptocurrency daily. This is fine if you are a professional but is rarely a good strategy for the average investor.  I am not saying that you need to hold an investment forever.  Things change, and you should analyze your individual holdings on a set schedule to ensure they are still appropriate for your situation.

Some crypto-investment vehicles require sophisticated knowledge and monitoring.  Others are more set it and forget it. Your individual investment decisions should be based on your comfort level and your willingness to devote time to researching your choices.  An easy route is to choose a variety of cryptocurrencies.   A diverse portfolio of BTC, ETH, LTC, and BCH.  Crypto investors with more knowledge and experience might consider ICO’s.  It is important that you understand what you do know and don’t know. You should never be talked into something that you don’t understand or are uncomfortable with.

This is a very good tips to anyone here in the forum pal, some of your statement of advise was really quite good and I'm impressed so much about what you did. I will take note and save this this in terms of investing in crypto. God bless you Smiley
309  Economy / Economics / Re: Now I believe cryptocurrency may change the financial condition on: July 14, 2018, 03:51:48 PM
Eight months ago, my financial situation was not good at all,
I work that way, My income was about 45 to 50 dollars in the month,
I was disappointed with my income
Than a friend of mine suggested me to work with cryptocurrency. But I had no idea about cryptocurrency. Gradually, I learned to understand a lot about cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency gave me success in life, Now my income is 800 to 1500 dollars per month. Now I am very happy and now I believe cryptocurrency may change the financial condition

Its too easy to say a story here whether it is true or not telling the truth the person, unless they specify and explain how they do it to get that profit

every month, because there is no fix amount of income we could get in this field industry actually. And in your case or base on your story you didn't

explain the details how'd you do it step by step even for a summarize only so that other's may get inspire about your testimony.
310  Economy / Economics / Re: Where and How to Spend Your Bitcoins? on: July 14, 2018, 03:25:35 PM
A lot of people in recent days have started to look into digital currency, but here is the question — where and how can you possibly spend your bitcoins and altcoins?BTC

this is depend on the place you belong, you can only use Bitcoin to shop online, remittances from Bitcoin to fiat currency, or you can also save it

for awhile and keep it in your bitcoin wallet or any legit wallet in crypto, something like that.
311  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you approve this strategy: sell alts buy btc? on: July 14, 2018, 03:19:32 PM
I read this article, but I want to see opinions, would you sell all your alts to have only bitcoin now ? I don't think this is recommended

https://cointelegraph.com/news/buy-bitcoin-sell-your-altcoins-says-pioneering-wall-street-blockchain-analyst

No, I don't agree on the strategy, all of my profit since when I got started here was came all in altcoin not directly on bitcoin though every time I sold out my altcoins it automatic converted into bitcoin. Probably from sell Bitcoin to buy potentials altcoins is much more betterer, for sure.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many altcoins on: July 11, 2018, 02:42:16 PM
With the wide array of altcoins available in the crypto market, how do you choose which one to invest on, which one to buy and which of these altcoins worth holding?

Because of too many altcoins in the market, shit coins appeared then also. where some's are right, we don't on which of them now are good to hold in along term. Only few of them which I think is good to hold in a long term such as Ethereum, Waves, Neo, Etc, utk, and Kcs where all of them now are down their price value which is good chance for us to buy them then hold.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best ICO to invest ? on: July 07, 2018, 11:23:14 PM
Eligma, GIG9, Looix, there are so many ICOs these days ? Which ICO is good for investment ?

on this period of time Investing on Casper Api is one the great to invest in terms of ICO, because there project result was really good actually,

314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: July 07, 2018, 10:58:11 PM
I've been reading through this forums for the past few weeks and all I see is "this coin is dead" or "everything is a shit coin". Is there any alt coin with potential to invest in or is it only bitcoin? I don't mean like a few here and there, I mean over 100 coins.

Why don't you try to do some research first before you decide to invest in the coins, so that you may not be one of the victim for buying a shitcoins or dead coin. due to there are still out there which I could be say a potential coins. Because, for what I did now I bought altcoins which I knew it is a potential one then I hold in long terms or depending in the flow of their program.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Campaign are wastage of time? on: July 07, 2018, 10:46:27 PM
Guys do you think bounty are campaign wastage of time because of we take particiapate in bounty campaign it take 2 to 4 month time the end up and after end the bounty campain it would distribute the token after more 1 to 2 months.
So isn't wastage of time? After taking token you dont know what is the value of token or it is available in exchange or not.

I beg to disagreed that bounty campaign is a waste of time, because for you able ethereum, Doge, Hitbtc, Kucoin, Waves, Bitpay, Coinomi, xmg or

almost all altcoins where you see at the coinmarketcap was all started in the bounty campaign, though I cannot blame you that there are some of

the ico ended up in a bad result but still there are few bounty campaign that can be consider as a good one project.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should buy and hold NEO? on: July 07, 2018, 10:38:26 PM

In my opinion, NEO is a very potential project, the current price is around $ 36 has dropped quite a lot compared to previously up to more than $ 160. NEO technology is very much appreciated. The project runs on this platform and NEO also has a strong ecosystem. Should we buy NEO and keep it in the long run?

It is good to buy Neo now, Because I know it dropped their value. Then this token were according to what I heard this Neo is next into Ethereum

platform, meaning 2 to 3 years from now this token will become 0.02BTC up to 0.05BTC so better to buy now then hold in long term.
317  Other / Archival / Re: Is this the end for Altcoins? on: July 07, 2018, 10:31:18 PM
All Altcoins are in red. What causes this dump and does this mean that it's over for certain amount of Altcoins?

We are talking about more then -10% for a lot of coins: Charts

This question has been asked many times, we are in a stages of declining market or red market, also we are in trading business not all the time

price of each token we buy is always in increasing value. It is actually, moved their value upside down, and sometimes it happens that few of the

coins was doing pump and dump.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: shall i convert my bitcoins to ethereum? on: July 07, 2018, 10:08:00 PM
i was thinking to sell my bitcoins and buy ethereum what do you thinkl guys

You're in the world of Trading business dude, meaning that is possible you can sell your bitcoin to buy ethereum. In fact, you can actually do this to any altcoins in this industry. There traders who doing this most of often actually.
319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the useful tips for beginners? on: July 05, 2018, 05:26:41 PM
Hello guys and gals , it is certain that the field of trading is very profitable, but regrettably, I have seen many beginners start in this area without any knowledge of the basics. In fact, this class always fails and lose a lot of money because of their hastiness or rashness.

So, according to my experience, I want to give some useful tips, and hope they will help everyone, and will be as the following :

1- Read and learn the basics of trading:

-I think the best way to start understanding this field  is by reading books related to digital currencies,  but unfortunately, the issue that many people  read only the first pages of the book, then they stop.

"The more that you read the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you'll go "
                                                                                                                                                            -Dr. Seuss
I suggest some books, and they will be as the following :
Cryptocurrency: Beginners Bible:

Mastering Bitcoin for Dummies:

Cryptocurrency Trading & Investing

-Learn how to analyze and deal with different situations ( pump, dump ..) in a smart way. Plus,  try to help yourself  with yourself, Do not complain and ask for help from the others, because no one is in your place. And even if you fail in the first attempts and lose a lot of money, then It is not the end of the world.
Believe me, learning from failed experiences will help you in order to improve your next choices, and you may start to gain a significant proportion of money.

2-Stay away from media news:

Media are always manipulating traders through some false news and even the social media (Twitter, Facebook..), They may even control what happens in the market (crisis, jump), in order to achieve the interests of some (the capitalists) and regrettably, many believe the information and fake predictions.
" Do not be a sheep and act like a wolf "

3- Be patience  and  try to be brave , not afraid:
The field of trading is profitable when you are patient and not hasty like many, and of course you must take advantage of the opportunities intelligently.
Fear is one of the most important obstacles that lead to losses, especially in difficult situations (big crash), like, panic selling...

IMO, Courage is by taking the risk, especially when there is an unexpected event (Big drop).
"Big risk, Big gain."

Cheers,  Grin

This is nice, for sure it will give a big help to anyone here in the forum especially for the newbies also for the old members here too about to know everything in bitcoin and other altcoins as well. Very good advise of yours mate, thanks for this tips anyway.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: Wise thing to do with your savings. on: July 05, 2018, 05:06:49 PM
I see that many of you actually liked the concept of 20 % method wherein you allot 20% of your earnings to be saved as emergency fund.
So I was thinking, if that 20% allotted will be invested in a time deposit kind of account, will it still be possible to earn as much or invest it in cryptocurrency? Or maybe just let the money sleep until such time you will need it?
What will be a wise kove to do with the noney you have saved up?

When we say emergency funds, it means anytime you/we can withdraw or en-cash it anytime we want. Now if I am going to ask by someone, it

is much better to invest some of your savings into cryptocurrency then buy it to all potential coins out there in the platform where you are sure

that you can roll it up in doing trade. Just make sure you know what you are doing when you are in  the trading platform due to if not, you will

be wreck for sure or better not doing it, instead you blame yourself in the end.
