Time to summarize what we saw in in first rounf of playoffs. There was some surprises - 2015 eurobasket vice-champions Lithuania and bronze medalists France already eliminated. Greece improved their game after group stage and Germany beat Francy after great 4th quarter. Russia smashed Croatia, Shved & co played amazing tonight. I expected more from Croatia, but as usual - they start to play terrible after group stage - we saw it in previous champs.
Quartefinals:
Germany - Spain, Slovenia - Latvia,
Greece - Russia, Italy - Serbia.
For me, most interesting game will be Slovenia vs Latvia.
Totally agreed. Match Slovenia- Latvia is finals before finals. It's impossible to predict a winner there. P.S. I have some feeling that I am only one who is talking here  |

I think the two teams had the same approach with only two shots of danger between them. But Atletico managed to keep pestering Barcelona and Real Madrid. And on the other hand Valencia aspiring to become great once again in the championship.

Real Madrid will face Levante Today at home venue.Real madrid will surely win as Levante is not so strong team as Real.Isco,asensio is on very good form so they will score for sure.Ramos will be back on the team.But ronaldo won't play today also.So,Bale,benzema and Lucas will be the striker for today's game.Lastly,I think there will be more than 3 goals from Real madrid.

Serbia is very close to the Russia! We had played with 10 players since 68. minute. I was literally shaking till the end. I am very happy now! We've won probably the most important match in our whole football history.

Definetely the most interesting match today is Del Potro-Thiem. Delpo hasn't lost any set so far. If he continue with play like that, I think he will be able to pull it through.
While Del Potro’s form over the last year has been good, he bombed out of both the French Open and Wimbledon early, and is out to make amends at a tournament he won in 2009. Even considering a relatively easy draw, he is yet to drop a set throughout the tournament. Thiem is already up 4-0 in the first set and could probably go 5-0. If Thiem wins the first set, this is the first time he will lost a set. Its still a long way to go, but it looks like the Thiem has already got the upper hand and the momentum. Let's just wait and watch for more action. Wow, what a match! Del Potro managed to save 2 match points and reverse the whole match while he was suffering from a cold! He showed a great performance and he reminded us on 2009. when he won US open. Thiem was also great, but simply Delpo was better. This is probably the best match I've watched this year. I hope he will have power for upcoming match against Federer too. |

Cilic lost today, Schwartzman was better in this match. It is big surprise for me, I saw him as one of five favorites for championship title. Argentinean shows once more that he is a real dynamite and that can beat almost everyone. Shapovalov is the youngest player ever that entered fourth round of GS. Edmund retired at the beginning of fourth set because of shoulder and back injury. But seriously, how far this young player can go? And bookies are pretty happy this days...so many favorite players finished their participation on the tournament Big suprise for me to see Čilić losing. Personaly, I expected him to reach at least semi-final, or even more... Shapovalov is showing his big potential. If he continue this way, he will surely be No.1 some day |
