Nadal won trophy in Montreal after defaeting young prospect Tsitsipas in two sets(6:2 7:6). Tsitsipas should not be sad about lose cause he played awesome whole tournament and reached his first Masters final.
And I am sure this is just start for him. Also, he will make big jump on ranking and will be 15th from Monday on.

To day is his birthday (only 20 wow) and this trophy would be perfect gift for him  Greece finally got their competitor in this sport! It is a nice win of Tsitsipas, but I think they are bigger talents than him. I saw 2 matches of Tsitsipas last week and I wasn't really impressed. But it is nice to see another young talent coming through and reaching the finals of an ATP tournament. You need to understand that he is just 20 years old. For now he is pretty good and he has enough time to improve his technique. And he is already in Top 30. Would you call that a luck? |

Is anyone else amazed at how much clubs are spending on players. I'm a big football fan but it blows my mind how people get paid tens of millions to kick a ball around while people are starving across the globe.
Anyways I always cheer for the underdog since a lot of matches are heavily one sided with the richer club always wins. I wish there was more parity in the EPL since its usually the same teams at the top every year (Chelsea, Arsenal, Man U, Man City)
Yeah, you are right. Every year there are same teams at the top. Only I would correct about one. Just switch Arsenal with Tottenham and other is good. Arsenal wasn't that good this years as Tottenham was. |

Lebron is named as the best player in the planet for a reason. The reason why the warriors dominated his team because it has a squad of a superstar players, Lebron take the cavaliers to the finals, that is a better achievement for me. Getting personal award is nothing compared to seeing same team winning NBA title over and over again without possibility to do something about that. |

Yeah, you are right. Bouchard is good example of that. But, to be honest, she was kinda too hot for tennis . And when she realised she could be model, her tennis downfall started. Well Olga is just 17, lets see what happens. I don't know about you guys, but when I encounter "hot" sportswomen, I almost automatically don't rate them too highly. I know it's sexist perhaps, but then if I consider that I also feel the exact same way about metrosexual footballers like Ronaldo, then perhaps it's just a prejudice I have against good looking people (being pretty fugly myself). I mean, if they're spending all that time looking good, they should be allowed to. But I'd back the consummate professional any day over someone with an eye on their looks. Oh and, lost my tennis bet today. Oliveira just gave the game away to Sousa so easily. They are allowed to choose their profession, of course. But, obviously, they need to sacrifice something. It is pretty clearly what sacrifice has she made. Eh, you should have made bet on Klizan. He was easy one today. And odd wasn't bad at all (@1.60). I think Martin Klizan is on fire and is producing magnificent performances lately. I was convinced about him when he was able to beat D. Thiem 4 days ago and i also missed the chance to bet yesterday as i was occupied all day. He has been unstable for his whole career. Although, he managed to play whole one tournament in constant shape. His final match was pretty easy to predict though. Too bad you didn't have time yesterday. Good opportunity wasted.  |

Olga Danilović managed to win her first title in professional tennis after win against Potapova 2:1. It was very tough match but Olga was more calm and finished that match. Olga became first player born in this century to win a title. Also, she became the youngest lady who won any title on WTA Tour. I might be boring with all this but I think we are witnessing a birth of a new star. Yes this is a huge achievement for someone so young to win their first title. She does look like she will be a top player but the question is can she continue to go on with it. We have seen so many players with talent winning great matches but can never go onto becoming that star player. One that comes to mind for me is Eugenie Bouchard who looked to become a star player but has since drop out of the top players in Women's tennis. I think if Olga can stay fit and healthy then she has a huge chance at being the best one day. Yeah, you are right. Bouchard is good example of that. I read somewhere that Anthony will be Rockets' third option in offense. How come he is better option in offense than Gordon lol? You can compare Gordon with him, Gordon is way over Carmelo's league.
Gordon is better in shooting but not an all around shooter, the length and the strength of melo is a difference maker. Well, we cannot conclude now, what I am saying is just based on their past performance, if Melo will step up, then for sure Rockets has a chance to be the number 1 in the west again. Melo is no longer a difference maker. And that is the truth. He became a Grant Hill like and Carter like player but he did not get injured badly. Shooting outside without inside moves anymore. Just doing perimeter shots and back down for 2 to 3 times for a fadeaway. This aint his game before. He might be getting old but so is Lebron and yet they are way different with the kind of games they play. The agility of Melo is not there anymore. That's true. Also, Melo looked kinda uninterested last two seasons. Let's see if the fact that he can finally fight for winning a title motivate him to push himself onto higher level. |
