301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: SETHER - Arbitrating Advertising on: May 21, 2018, 07:51:54 AM
All buyers are trying to buy as cheap as they can, but there are some. They're not just adding orders so it's not reflected as "support", because of that I think the amount ppl is willing to buy is way higher than our support lvl suggests, just imo

Do you think the price will  pick up for SETHER? Been a lot of waiting. Sad

It will rise eventually, when the platform will get more established.

303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | NEO Smart Economy⚡Now a Top 10 Cryptocurrency⚡| Official Thread |Updated Aug10 on: May 21, 2018, 07:44:14 AM
I'm considering dropping my NEO. I've already made a decent x off it because I've bought it with a private discount. To be honest, I'm failing to see further potential.  Seems like other projects are outperforming them regarding 3rd gen b lockchain? If there is anything I overlooked please let me know.

Do what you feel is better or what you feel to do as if you will do what others thinks and you'll end up loosing money than you'll get mad on yourself that you didn't listen to your instincts, is way less painful to accept that you were wrong than to accept others were wrong. My 2 cents!

Just my personal feeling about NEO is that even we don't see much development (development is the wrong term, as I can't find the right one, maybe "movement" in any direction, anyway you get the point) right now, I see it's potential as becoming a top 3 in terms of market cap, just because I see Da Hong Fei as a visionary like was Steve Jobs  for Apple. Also my 2 cents...
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: May 21, 2018, 07:34:27 AM
Vitalik refused to participate in the Consensus conference. I wonder how this will affect the market. Everybody is waiting for a pampus after the Consensus.

It won't affect the market at all, why would it? If it really had an effect it would show how premature crypto still is.

now public refusal:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/ethereum-stakeholders-meet-to-discuss-governance-without-vitalik-buterins-involvement

is there any reason for present markets' plunge ?

For how long have you been around in crypto? You call that market plunge? Check the history of Bitcoin and you will see what a market plunge can look like.

I think 40-60% drop in the crypto is just a blip. Not to be afraid of.

Agree, looking back a year we are very good in terms of value on all top 20 crypto.

When a big exchange?

We are working on it, but with no result so far, some big exchanges refused us in the first place, some don't lists new coins at this moment and some didn't answered to our request.
We will keep trying, until we will bring to you a top exchange, unfortunately we can't tell when this will happen.

Novaexchange:

"Finally we have tremendous news to share with you. On the 28th of May we will open the market for deposits in the following currencies:
- Bitcoin
- Litecoin
- Dogecoin

So, trading is open. Later on you will be welcome to make deposits in other currencies."

they are also delisting a bunch of coins, but xcn is not among them ;-)

These are the news I've waiting for a while. Cool stuff!
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Tattoocoin & Tattoocoin Ltd. Ed. - Running on Twin Chain - First Time Ever! on: May 18, 2018, 06:15:13 PM
Restore the network, someone has actual nodes, passed a month as sent a coin to cryptopia, written there is no connection.

Someone must take over and provide some nodes to cryptopia, before they will delist Tattoocoin.

Few posts above by Gawlea state that they're interested to take over. But as there were no further info since the post, I assume they can't reach to the dev which would imply that the dev team themselves are no longer active on cryptoworld

If i can get the source code, maybe we can bring this to life, but I don't know if the dev who developed the tattoo blockchain still have it, which is not "tattoodev". If I can get it we can start from there, also as I'm not a developer we will need one.

What are you talking about? Can you be more specific, please?

who would have a working conf file?

the cryptopia trade has stopped, you can only withdraw your coins.

Someone here might have it, who knows that they'll appear here in a few days ahead. Other option would be to sell them OTC? Place an offer on the marketplace

how can I sell the coins if there's no way to move them?

Cryptopia still allows withdrawal, right? Put your price, and if someone is interested enough, make a deal and withdraw those coin to his address while he send you the agreed amount of coin to your own wallet.

Whether he can move that coin or not is entirely up to him, you've get rid of those coin and earned the negotiated amount. Case clear for you. Although I doubt if that buyer wouldn't know what to do. If he's buying, then there's a high chance he has a place to keep those coin.

I think you can't withdrawal since there are no connections to the network.

Just found out about this project and glanced over it and it is very promising. I wanted try mining BIS but I am a CPU miner and based on network hashrate, it doesn't seem worth it. However I will try to buy some from Cryptopia and will set up the node.
Could you advise, how many BIS you have to have for running MN ?

This is all we can say about masternodes at this moment: https://github.com/EggPool/BismuthHowto/blob/master/Masternodes/masternode.MD
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀[ANN]|[BSX]Bitspace🚀|⚡| End of POW|⚡|POS 50% annually|⚡| Own exchange soon on: May 14, 2018, 08:26:48 AM
Summary after block 200 000

Transition to full POS went smooth.

POW is over. As expected. (Asics are gone)
We also noticed that POS is not 1000% anually as it shoud be. According to the latest data from the block explorer POS is still 50% annually. (max 2.5 bsx per block)

We need some time to decide how to proceed further.
(inflation will now be minimal..only around new 2000 - 4000  BSX will be generated every day)

Let it like it is, 50% annually is a good percentage, maybe in the future you can lower the % but for now is OK 50%. There are already 13 M coins in circulation. With 1000% will be too much inflation. My 2 cents.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 👽 [ANN][BIS]Bismuth - New Language, Free DAPPs, Cryptopia, HEAT on: May 12, 2018, 07:43:27 AM

Still doesn't work with the latest release downloaded and install after removing the previous install (just left the key in there which really should make zero difference).

Wallet says active version: 4.2.4.0 in red with latest version: 4.2.4.3  Huh

4.2.4.4 is a pre-release, as you can see on github, please use the previous one.

I can't "Send" coins now.

- unlocked the wallet
- hit "Send"
- dialog pops up, cannot edit any values

Am I missing something?

You need to edit the values before you click "Send"

How does one attempt to edit the values other than moving the cursor around in the pre-filled form and whitespace? It doesn't allow an insert or I'd change them and then click Send...... that's the problem.

Try to make a clean install of the wallet, with the latest 4.2.4.4 version, tested on windows 10 and I don't have your problem.

Thanks to Asics, now we have 1000% POS with Bitspace  Shocked

Better 1k POS than asic miners.

Thanks for the detailed explanation about the imputs!
I also agree. Asics are evil.
Time to split my coins into smaller inputs to catch as many POS blocks as possible.

You'll need to split them in few inputs, than will split in 2 when you'll hit a block.

...

We have this formula in POS reward

CoinAge * RewardCoinYear / 365 / COIN

Big inputs will not help you to get higher reward. There is no interest based on number of coins in reward function.
Coin age is important (number of coins will help you to hit more blocks faster, not to earn higher rewards).

Example.
If you will have 1 input = 100 000 BSX. You can hit only one block per day....means only one reward.
But if you will split your 100 000 into 100x 1000 (100 inputs). You can easily hit 100 blocks per day . (reward per block in not reflected by number of coins....only coin age matters)

if the amount of coins wont help you increase your rewards but smaller blocks will then you wont really achieve the stated amounts percentage wise and these APR's should be removed from the title and coin info pages.
What does COIN refer to in that function if not the amount of coins staked?
if you can't get pos to work at the APR you'd like with large inputs why not just implement a static block reward instead?

Amount of coins is reflected at function stake weight . High stake weight will help you to get POS block rewards more often .
We do not state that POS reward is 50% interest per year.... We state that POS reward is 50% annually.(since last fork)(and will be 1000% annually in 4 days, after block 200 000)
Our POS reward system is very similar to static block reward, there are only two differences.
First, we have radius (%) instead of static (function)....it will lead to lower total supply at the end of high staking rewards.
second one... smaller inputs are in advantage ...higher reward is for those who stake at optimal levels for best network performance...
There is nothing to change in here. These rules will remain unchanged in the longrun.

Thanks for the clarification dev!

I wanna ask, what is the best input amount to stake, is the 1000 BSX in your earlier example the best amount or is not such as "the best amount".

I can also confirm that with 94560 BSX today I've staked the amazing amount of 0.0008 BSX Cheesy Now I can afford to buy a new lambo, maybe the Urus one.

is it possible to have a BIS wallet without running a node? Light wallet download somewhere?

edit: have used the wallet.py download on github, but seems like problems. my virus scanner tells me there's viruses in wallet.exe and virustotal.com tell me the same. Any proof there is none?

In the upcoming version of the wallet you won't need the node running on your machine.

As for your virus alert, for sure is a false positive alert. Here is the virustotal scan 0/64: https://www.virustotal.com/ro/file/c85ad09115034cad4dffcc946d075b298f00832479095091d73c6898f261fa52/analysis/1525866474/

Just one little question:
If you'll take a snapshot of the ZOIN blockchain at a certain date in order to airdrop the NIX tokens, why do you need the addresses private keys for? Just asking..
