I am a believer of cryptocurrency. I always believe that Bitcoin/Crryptocurrency have a bright future. and I believe that saving money in bitcoin for my kids is really good things to do. but sometimes we have to be realistic, I will not save all my money in Bitcoin because that is really risky.
Yes you right, we can save some of your money in bitcoin but not all your money, because remember bitcoin is part of crypto currency and investing in crypto currency is very risky, but we can use it to earn more to have a good future for our kids if somebody have. it is true there will be a big risk when we decide to invest in bitcoin because the price is unstable and no one even knows what will happen next to the price of bitcoin in the future. But in my opinion, bitcoin will have good potential in the long run (maybe a few years) so there is nothing wrong if we save in a small portion of our money to bitcoin for the future. Again this is only my opinion. |

My main concern for bitcoin is when bitcoin has no more trust from investors and makes the price decrease day by day. Right now we have seen the decline occur day by day and I believe the market is starting to experience unusual panic.

All people talk about patient,, but i 'm sure a lot of people didn't have it, they will panic when watch the market red,, its about mentality and pschycology because patience is easy to say but hard to do,, but i believe people who can increase their patience in this situations will be the winner it is the nature of humans, how much we try to be patient but when everything moves beyond our expectations sometimes panic comes just like that. Predicting on any such coins would be harder because as you know that the market volatility is very high and nobody can say the exact coins that would going to pump during this next bull run. And bull run is not yet going to happen this year as i've seen the results of the market, bitcoin would have a hard time to recover this year.

If the btc will not hold or recover to 8k after the ETF it won't regain its momentum to up again to $20k until 2020. because more money is needed for that to happen. Even other markets are struggling right now.
Even BTC will reach again into $8k still there is no assurance that it will bring back its ATH shown last year for the next couples of years. The market seems to be hard for now and investors have lessen their interest on this form of investment due to losses they'll get from unexpected huge dump since January. Only a few investors have high confidence to stay in bitcoin or those who really are in the long run. And the rest? I'm sure many of those who are starting to despair even decide to withdraw from crypto. |

Looking to get some ideas from people so let me begin by explaining my situation:
- I initially invested around $3000 just over a year ago in crypto, which is now currently worth about $1000 (2/3rd loss). I've written this off/left it and am a firm believer the market will one day recover, be it short or long term.
- I then stopped investing early this year.
- I now have opportunity to save/invest $1000 each month (after all my bills and everything are paid for).
- I have $5000 saved in cash as emergency in case I need it.
How would you invest the $1000? Or would you just save it all, or only invest a bit of it each month based on market behaviour? What coins are good to look into investing slowly, with the belief they'll give the best returns if the market properly goes into a bull run?
Bitcoin is always the number one when it comes to this kind of situation.So I will advise you to invest your money in Bitcoin, cause when bull run comes, it is always sure for Bitcoin that the price will increase. Altcoins follows Bitcoin move and sometimes they don’t, and they might even continue to fall when Bitcoin is rising cause every investor will be focused on Bitcoin then, so invest maybe $1000 dollars in Bitcoin. Look at what we believe in, maybe that's what I can save for now by looking at the market conditions that are far from expectations. But if all you want is an extraordinary increase before the end of this year, then I feel doubtful. |

Yeah. I think I can confidently say that Bitcoin really has withstood the test of time. Bitcoin is almost a decade now and that new features is still being developed. I am very confident that Bitcoin will still grow no matter how hard it is in the future.
I agree with you, this year is not the only difficult time for Bitcoin in the last 10 years, but he has proven that Bitcoin has been able to survive. I am not sure of that, because some of the previous forks did not always end well at the price of even many who regretted taking the opportunity to get a free coin from a fork. But there is always the possibility to be able to get a profit, I suggest if you want to take part in it, then do research on potential in detail. |

In my own opinion, the more altcoins and erc20 tokens being released everyday in market, the more it affects Bitcoin or even Ethereum's price to go down.Since the volume of investors should be instead investing on btc and eth are now divided to altcoins.What do you think?
Don't forget too that invest in ICO need ETH too, it means investor will buy ETH first and then get their tokens, it is right if they profit they will sell their ETH, but i don't see it really affects on ETH price. When I was new in crypto, I feel really bad whenever I sell too early or too late. It is as if I missed an opportunity to sell at a better price. However, I realized that feeling bad about your decision in crypto will do you no good. Instead, I look for better opportunities that can possibly give me something good in the future.
It's normal if we feel bad for the first time, right? But, it's OK. Everything happened for a reason, so is a failure. We can learn from that and make ourselves better in the future. I've even been worse than that, when the coins I had started to decline I immediately panicked and sold all of my coins despite losing more than 60%. When prices began to rise again I experienced tremendous regret. And from that moment on I began to learn that panic would never end well. |
