Are you guys ready for another 10-20% speed boost? Gtx 660Ti now reporting 180kHash (previously about 150)

Yes / No / Maybe

the nVidia cards have a texture cache, why not use it.

definately ready...bring it and we'll test it!

Here we go!! Finally I can post!!

i7 3770
H67
660Ti
16GB ram
Windows 7
Driver 314.22

no OS optimization (even Steam is running in background)
bad-bad-bad ventilation (Cooler Master Elite mini-itx)

with Stratum_Proxy feeding (everything seems smoother, highly recommended):

2013/04/10: 159.45 khash/s - conf 42x7
2013/04/09: 132.50 Khash/s - conf 147x2

Some hints I like to verify with you:
- I managed to get 24 khash extra using the CPU, forget the Hyperthreading and setup 3 threads (if you got 4 cores), I've no hints for dual cores. Sticking to 4 or 8 threads (full cpu load) dropped the GPU at about 100 Khash. Giving 7 threads (so using HT) had basically the same bad impact
- don't mess with the console window (drag, tab, scroll, etc), just scrolling dropped the rate of a chunk from 150 to 110. After the test (keep the mouse steady!) stick to your pool dashboard to see the results (in my case 147 over 30 jobs - test done today)

I'd like to test:
- vanilla desktop (no Aero interface)
- different set of drivers (in this case I should setup a dedicated partition and format everytime - I'm too lazy, I must admit it)
- Linux

...meanwhile I'm relocating to a new home, so I' really don't know when I'll be able to do that :-|

Two last words:
- it's an awesome work, I've mined only 0,2 LTC of which 0,1 was burned by the pool for the transfer to my wallet (damn testing!), otherwise you already had had a donation from me too
- the software is really SOLID. It ran almost 24 hours (from an itx computer!) without any hiccup. Meanwhile Minerd had two crashes!

since you have an i7, why not switch to the internal Intel HD graphics for your primary display and then let the nvidia cards run their thing in the background.  This will eliminate any drops you see from moving the mouse, scrolling, moving windows, etc.

...unless of course it's not a dedicated mining machine and you use it for games or other 3d work.  As for your loaded cpu dropping your gpu hashrate, I have no ideas as we have the same cpu and I don't experience that.

I've got the following and haven't experienced anything that you've mentioned (including the effects of a fully loaded cpu dropping your hashrate). - maybe it's because I'm using the intel hd graphics as my primary display.
i7-3770k @ 4.6Ghz
Z77 chipset
24GB ddr3 1800
2x GTX560SE
1 GT430
Windows 7 (Aero disabled)
driver 314.22

I get a total of ~240Kh/s from the gpu's.  43Kh/s from the CPU (6 threads).

CudaMiner 1st version GTX 295 75 khash/sec
CudaMiner 10/04 GTX 295 56 khash/sec
Sad

I concur, this is a step backwards. But on my GTX 260 I do not see the same regression. In fact the card is the same generation as yours. Strange.

I don't think my gtx260 saw a change either.  My fermi cards did though...a very nice change in fact.  ~30kh/s change.

I have been playing with options to improve system responsiveness. It involves choosing smaller launch configs and adding a few CPU sleep cycles before launching new CUDA work

Currently doing stratum mining for LTC on coinotron now, as wemineltc seems to have issues computing the correct payouts.

Would that slow down the hashrate?  If so, could you make that an option that could be disabled?

Right now I've got 3 of these nvidia cards in my system and it's completely responsive.  I'm using the onboard intel gpu for the primary display though so that may be why.  Once I switched to that, my gpu0 shot up another 10kh/s and was even with gpu2.

Anyone else run into problems when sli is enabled in the nvidia control panel?
On my setup when I launch cudaminer with sli enabled, it just sits there after it says starting 'x threads' and the whole system seems very sluggish (4.6Ghz i7-3770k w/24GB ram and ssd's....definately not used to sluggish)

If I disable SLI and then run cudaminer, it seems to work fine.

Is there any advantage to running in sli mode for mining?

This update is awesome!
I'm using 2 gtx560se's (fermi) and a gt430 (fermi)

gtx560se are each clocked at 962core/1924shader/2121mem

with cgminer I was topping out at 54kh/s
4/9/2013 build of cudaminer I was topping out at 76kh/s
4/10/2013 build of cuaminer I'm now topping out at 107kh/s

So all cards combined I'm cranking around 225kh/s with 2 x gtx560se and the gt430.  Never thought I'd see them become useful.

Your CPU can mine (look for pooler's cpuminer) ok but it's not really worth it since your hashrate will be so low.
I have an i7-3770k @ 4.6Ghz and get roughly 60kh/s (mining LTC).
I also have a mobile i7 @ 1.6ghz and get 16kh/s.

I assume your numbers will be in between there somewhere.

If you're mining LTC with an nvidia gpu you really need to use the newest cudaminer as it really seems to have given the nvidia gpus (fermi at least) a swift kick in the pants.
With cgminer I was getting 54kh/s tops.  With the 4-10-2013 release of cudaminer I get 107kh/s.  I'm using gtx560se's, so your gtx670 should get a good bit more.

Also, when using 1 core for CPU affinity, that core is at a constant 100%. Is this normal?

Sounds like you're CPU only. It was working before? Driver crashed?

1 core of my CPU only @ 135Mhash/s really doesn't happen. Also temps and load on GPU rise to max, so I doubt it. I have no idea why it is at 100% though.

The problem here is that I have to use OpenGL for my GTX570 and not CUDA, which should give me better performance Smiley

Get CUDAminer  I'm getting 165 on my 570 with it.

CUDAminer is definately the way to go for nvidia cards.  It boosted my speeds quite a bit over other miners.

Can cudaminer then also mine alternative coins like TRC or PPC?

another newbie....mining is addicting

I'm getting roughly 78kh/s on my gtx560se's.  Over 20kh/s higher than cgminer.
