301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Making it public: I have moved the disputed 643.2771 BTC into an escrow account on: June 21, 2011, 09:35:57 PM
You're a class act Kevin, you've been totally honest this whole time and now you've put this up to prove it. You're clearly ten times the man that MagicalTux is, the lying sack of shit who fucked us all over.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Full Disclosure] More likely MtGox Post-Mortem on: June 21, 2011, 09:30:12 PM

So according to MT:

1) Kevin logged in at 5:12, just a few minutes before the market started crashing (~5:15 onwards).
2) Since he bought at 0.01 he must have placed that large bid BEFORE the market crashed...thus implicating him (after all who would place a ~$3000 bid at 0.01 unless they knew it was comming).

According to MT this makes Kevin looks suspcious. But there is more useful info to consider:

4) When a BUY order is filled, the only log recorded is the time of the FILL and the time the order was PLACED gets wiped out completely. Thus Tux cannot be sure of anything really.

This proves that MagicalTux is not only incompetent, but an asshole.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm ALL in! on: June 20, 2011, 12:38:02 PM

Still not breaking a sweat yet triforce?

haha, how does it feel to be royally fucked in the ass?
I think you're missing the point.. I don't care what bitcoin does today or tomorrow, its about what it will be doing a year from now, or 10 years. The only thing that sucks right now is that I can't buy more while they're on sale, I don't have any more money Sad

You're a lunatic.
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MtGox UPDATE on: June 20, 2011, 12:13:57 AM
And what about the users who had their accounts compromised in the past few weeks or so?

Many were trolls who lied, IMO.
A password hash does not allow you to login. The mysterious big account might have had a virus/key-logger on his PC.
I have had $200 vanish from my account. I have turned my PC upside down, including manual analysis and found no malware of any kind. I had a 20 character alphanumeric mixed case KeePass-generated random password. I was not a victim of the CSRF exploit as I could not reach the Mt. Gox site (thus wasn't logged in) at the moment the funds were stolen. Someone could easily break such a password by using a service like Amazon AWS - and it would actually pay off as you are trying to compromise accounts on a financial service that holds money. Not to mention that miners have hardware that is specifically suited for hashcracking.

Now tell me with a straight face that this was not related to the database leak.

Lol at a guy who is in LulzSec complaining on here about losing $200.

To be honest I think you have bigger things to worry about than losing $200 Sven. You losing your money has given me much Lulz! I suppose you must approve of that! There will also be much Lulz when you are arrested by your local police force. Smiley

Yes, because everything you read on the internet is absolutely and completely true. Do some research before you claim things. I am not a part of Lulzsec, and I'm not involved in what they do. If you had actually read a bit *more* than just one single blog, you would have found that the supposed "Lulzsec channel" was not actually a Lulzsec channel, and that the dox and/or information on that site are grossly inaccurate (Barrett Brown a part of Lulzsec? REALLY?)

Get a clue before you shout.

I've read more than that blog, and I realise the logs weren't from the LulzSec channel. However, the logs show you assisting them, no matter what channel it's from. The dox on there might be bullshit (other than yours) but the logs are genuine, regardless of the channel. You might not be in the main crew, but you're in deep with those fucks.

You're a disgusting little cunt and I'm glad you've got even a tiny portion of what's coming for you. Your buddy Sabu hit the FBI. Do you know what that means? He's going to get caught. As soon as they catch him, the American's are going to try and extradite you under RICO laws. You've been seen on IRC handling their money and the Blockchain will confirm this. Under RICO legislation, that's enough to make you complicit.

You better hope and pray that the Dutch government doesn't roll over and extradite you. Either way you've got a tough autumn and winter coming up. You've bitten off more than you can chew here, son. I'd be very, very scared if I was you.

306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TradeHill - Who we are on: June 19, 2011, 11:19:47 PM
Finally, an exchange run by competent people instead of some Magic the Gathering idiot. BitCoin has come of age. Smiley

As long as Tradehill wasn't formerly "TradeMagicTheGatheringCardsHill" then I'm in  Wink
307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gmail unusual activity on: June 19, 2011, 11:09:19 PM
Hi guys,

The reason your Google accounts have been required to change the password is that you appeared in a list of public MtGox accounts. We do understand that you may not have been sharing your passwords, unfortunately as they were leaked in hashed form it is hard to know which ones will be found to be sharing passwords and which won't - this will be found out by brute forcers over the next 24-48 hours.

Again, apologies for the inconvenience, we know that choosing new passwords is a pain. Requiring password rotations is not a decision we take lightly. However this is standard procedure for credentials leaks. It is to avoid accounts showing up in the black market for hacked passwords, as Gmail account access can be used to obtain access at other sites (PayPal, Facebook, etc).

thanks,

Mike
Google abuse/anti-hijack team

Thanks Mike! Really appreciate it. Maybe Google could set up a BitCoin exchange?

MagicalTux: You are an idiot son. You've gone from respected by the community to despised just because you're too stupid, or too lazy to secure your website. I sincerely hope Mt. Gox doesn't come back from this. It was so stupid to have so much trade centralised in a website that used to be for trading pieces of card to be used in a children's game.

Go back to trading Magic the Gathering Cards, you fucking amateur.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DIRECT DOWNLOAD LINK FOR LEAKED MT. GOX ACCOUNT DATABASE (CSV FILE) on: June 19, 2011, 09:23:37 PM
These fucking clowns should have stuck to selling magic the gathering cards.

Ah, the French dude! Tongue

Poirot is Belgian. Tongue

Clearly this guy was the one that stole the coins? : http://twitter.com/#!/Anonakomis

Well...maybe. This guy is also a known attention seeker. He might have seen the thief donate to LulzSec and decided it was a good opportunity to claim responsibility and increase his rep. Or maybe he's telling the truth and it was him.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just got hacked - any help is welcome! on: June 15, 2011, 10:44:53 PM
A newbie who can't post in this forum has identified that the address your coins went to is a donation receiving address of LulzSec:

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=17386.msg223015
It wasn't LulzSec. That press release was a fake copy.

Real press release:
http://pastebin.com/i5M0LB58
Fake:
http://pastebin.com/88nGp508

True, that press release is fake, but look at the thief's BlockExplorer record: http://blockexplorer.com/address/1KPTdMb6p7H3YCwsyFqrEmKGmsHqe1Q3jg

One of the sent transactions from this wallet goes to 176LRX4WRWD5LWDMbhr94ptb2MW9varCZP
And what is this wallet? The GENUINE LulzSec donation wallet.

So we can surmise that the thief is at least sympathetic to LulzSec if not directly linked, which would give weight to this guys claims: http://twitter.com/#!/Anonakomis . He is a guy affiliated with LulzSec. On this twitter account, he boasts about being responsible for the theft, and how he has donated a small amount from it to LulzSec.

Fuck, I feel like Poirot.

Journalists investigating Silk Road get in touch. I have a great scoop for you. It might not make your career but it will certainly be a VERY good day at the office.

I also have a few spare accounts and I'm happy to receive offers.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Can't find wallet.dat on Mac OS X on: May 19, 2011, 02:19:08 AM
Hi guys,

I did a search for the file "wallet.dat" and can't find anything. I know the default location is in the Bitcoin folder in app support, there is no Bitcoin folder there.

I'd really like to back up, it's making me tense!

Can someone help?
316  Economy / Goods / Re: Cuban Cigars for Bitcoins. on: April 26, 2011, 11:53:28 AM
My favourite cigars are Romeo Y Julieta Coronitos En Cedro, how much for a box of those bad boys?
317  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buy a mobile phone to your relative in Havana, Cuba on: April 21, 2011, 08:09:18 AM
Where can I get some cuban cigars for bitcoins ?

Now you're talking! Beautiful cigars are (comparatively) very cheap in Cuba.

anyways...if you wana make a thread about you're beliefs on CP then go ahead, lets stick to shit thats silk road related. there hasn't even been CP posted there, so lets worry about what is happening now and deal with that

Totally agree. I can't believe this thread derail. Completely ridiculous.
319  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [Selling] Copywriting Services on: April 20, 2011, 10:25:54 AM
Also, the price per word in the real word is normally around 5 cents, $50 for 1000 words. So 50BTC is a perfectly fine price. If the copy is good enough, it might be worth even more than that. (Not associated with the individual, just sick of seeing people price themselves too low in bitcoins. Myself included.)

Thanks man. I think it's a pretty fair price too. I'd never usually work for so little, but this is a community, plus I love the idea of Bitcoin. I'd be surprised to see myself doing volume here anyway, it's just for a little Bitcoin pocket money.

I should probably also mention that I won't be cashing out whatever Bitcoins I may get paid to fiat, I'll be spending them. They'll stay in the economy for one more transaction at least. Smiley
320  Other / Off-topic / Split from Silkroad topic on: April 20, 2011, 10:21:25 AM
How did this thread become a discussion about the rights and wrongs of child pornography? Talk about a derail!
