301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ERC20 Wallet you use Other than MEW? on: April 25, 2018, 07:15:10 PM
You can also connect MEW with metamask to make it more secure. There are training videos on Youtube that can help.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ERC20 Wallet you use Other than MEW? on: April 24, 2018, 04:26:34 AM
Exodus allows you to hold quite a few ERC20 tokens. It is an amazing wallet.

Is there any way to make MEW more secure. Like adding any 2FA or any way to add 2nd level security to the wallet?

I understand that you can connect MEW with one of the hardware wallets and make it secure in that way.

304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) is going crazy. on: April 23, 2018, 05:58:16 AM
I find it difficult to believe that TRON would force us to put our holdings on an exchange when they should be providing a wallet for us that would allow us to change over to their new token system.  Please comment because maybe I am missing something here. Do I really have to move my TRON tokens to an exchange? Thanks.

Here is their latest announcement:

TRX Migration Notice

Dear supporters of TRX

Thank you all for your keen attention and support to Tron.

For the reason that Tron’s public blockchain main net will be launched shortly, the migration from ERC20 tokens to TRX, the cryptocurrency on Tron’s public blockchain, will begin on 2018, June 21,(GMT+8). We highly recommend exchange that all transactions be frozen from June 22 to June 23. After June 24, ERC20 will no longer be valid for transactions, for we will only support transactions with TRX on the public blockchain.

For token holders, with your ERC20 tokens saved to cryptocurrency exchanges (the only required operation on your part), further operations for token migration will be automatically completed for you in due time.

For exchanges, it is kindly requested that you post your notice of TRX migration as soon as possible, with the format of the technical transition file for TRX migration being git. Please check the link: https://github.com/tronprotocol/Documentation/tree/master/TRX

For further information or support, all exchanges are welcome to contact us at trx@tron.network.

305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: All The Hosting Companies / Farms For Mining Machines And The Very Best Ones on: April 20, 2018, 02:56:17 PM
Because of the efficiency of these D3s the profits went down in 9 months from $8,000 to break even. So it is not profitable to mine Dash coin, but if I could ship these machines to another hosting company that could tweak them to a different x11 algo pool coin (which is much more profitable), these Dash machines may then give me the profits I was looking for.

Anyone else would like to help?

Thank you
306  Bitcoin / Electrum / Obtaining The Private Key For Each Address In The Electrum Wallet on: April 18, 2018, 07:52:00 PM
Hello:

Let's say that three addresses are holding coins in my Electrum wallet.

Each of those addresses have their own private key.

How can I obtain the private key for each of those three addresses?

What are the ABC instructions for obtaining those private keys?

I know all about the seed word phrase and these questions are not about that.

Thank you,

G.P.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: All The Hosting Companies / Farms For Mining Machines And The Very Best Ones on: April 18, 2018, 07:30:24 PM
I am sorry about my lack of vocabulary knowledge for this niche field.

The mining machine is x11 algo.

I understand that the pool can be changed so that the machine can mine a different coin.

Do you know of any hosting companies that can do this?

Thank you
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / All The Hosting Companies / Farms For Mining Machines And The Very Best Ones on: April 17, 2018, 12:10:05 AM
I have one or two miners that are no longer profitable and I would like to send them to a hosting company / mining farm somewhere in the world that is very good. They can change the algorithm from the present crypto to another crypto so it can be mined.

Please list here on this thread all the reputable hosting companies /f arms in the world for miners.

Thank you,

StellarTerm wallet versus Stellar Desktop Client

Anyone like the StellarTerm wallet more than the Stellar Desktop Client wallet?

If so, why?

Those that like the Desktop client wallet....  Why?

Trying to decide between them.

I used to have the Desktop client on a different computer, but decided to move to my other computer and used the StellarTerm wallet instead.

But when I log off the StellarTerm wallet I get an error message that pops up.  Does not leave me feeling very comfortable.

Hope I can get my coins out of that StellarTerm wallet.

Thanks.

312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: April 14, 2018, 07:12:07 AM
A friend of mine who does not have an account here on bitcointalk wanted me to post this here to get an answer:

He has a wallet with Exodus and wants to know if Exodus will support the airdrop he needs to be ready for before April 15th to get the eosDAC tokens:

"Hello:

EOS is giving us another token through an air drop besides the token they are giving us after June. Exodus has the registration set up for the June one, but do they have anything set up for the one we need to register for before April 15th?  Here are the details:

If a person owns more than 100 EOS ... There is an AirDrop to these EOS Token Holders  All EOS token holders holding over 100 tokens* at the end of (April 15th 2018, 01:00:00 UTC) will receive 1 eosDAC token for each EOS token that they hold, these tokens will be transferred directly into their Ethereum (ERC20 compatible) wallet.. we need to register our EOS tokens before April 15th....

If I keep my EOS tokens inside of my Exodus wallet will I get the 1 eosDAC token for each EOS token that I hold? Is my EOS wallet in Exodus able to receive these?  Or, should I move them to a MEW wallet which is compatible to receive the eosDAC tokens?

Thank you for your help with knowing what to do. I do not want to lose out.

Verify what I said  here:  https://eosdac.io/tokens/ " unquote ( end of my friend's questions )

UPDATE:  He got a response from Exodus that said:

Unfortunately, Exodus will not be supporting the eosDAC airdrop directly. There are so many forks and airdrops occurring weekly it is not possible to keep up with all of them.

Having said that, you will receive the eosDAC token in your Exodus wallet if you have 100 EOS or more in your wallet at the time of the airdrop and your EOS address is registered. However, the eosDAC will not be directly available in your Exodus wallet; you will need to export your private keys to access the token, you can find more information here:
https://support.exodus.io/article/697-how-to-deal-with-airdropped-token-with-exodus

Please be very careful with your private key! It controls your ETH and all your ERC20 tokens. I recommend deleting the private key file from your computer and emptying your Recycle Bin after use, or else you risk your assets by someone copying the file.

I hope that helps. Do stay in touch and let me know if you have any more questions.

Why this pump ?

Yes, what was the news that caused this coin to go up so dramatically?
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: April 13, 2018, 01:16:08 AM
I set up a FACTOM enterprise secure wallet and was attempting to back up the wallet. I went through the steps but after I pressed the button saying I had copied the twelve word seed phrase, I got this message: "phrase does not match. please modify"

I am 100% sure that I copied the phrase down correctly and also that I inputed it correctly into the wallet back up system as I have checked it over and over again. Is there a glitch in the Factom Enterprise Wallet?  If that is so, I would be afraid to send my coins to it.

Maybe I did something wrong in the set up process and do not know what that is?

Hope someone can help.  Here is the wallet I am referring to:  https://www.factom.com/blog/encrypted-enterprise-wallet

Thanks

The problem was cleared up the next day when I turned the computer back on, and opened the wallet again, and the wallet worked like a charm.

So if anyone else has a problem, you may have to close down the wallet and open it up again or try it again the next day after you turn on your computer.

316  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Preparing For Bitcoin Cash Hard Fork Using Electron Wallet on: April 09, 2018, 09:18:48 PM
Yes, the fork that will happen next month is the one I was referring to....

I wish the developers of the Electron wallet would tell us their plans soon so we know if we should keep our Bitcoin Cash on the Electron wallet or move it somewhere else.

Thanks

318  Bitcoin / Electrum / Preparing For Bitcoin Cash Hard Fork Using Electron Wallet on: April 09, 2018, 04:01:59 PM
Anyone care to list the steps someone should take to prepare for the Bitcoin Cash hard fork using Electrum's Electron wallet?

Is this a good wallet for someone to hold their Bitcoin Cash in so that they can prepare for the hard fork?

This thread may also give some insight into working with Electron for Bitcoin Cash owners:

320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💥SOLARIS XLR💥Masternodes⚡Android wallet ⚡Zerocoin⚡txbit.io in development on: April 07, 2018, 06:28:29 AM
Solaris has plans for a cryptocurrency exchange in the future.

How about a privacy coin exchange? That would be a nice niche exchange.

Hope Solaris can also implement a decentralized exchange. These are greatly needed.

Thanks
