301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing? on: May 14, 2017, 08:00:27 PM
XBY is blowing up at the moment in a similar way NXT did some years back. I haven't seen a community and coin develop as rapidly as this.

The don't miss the train clique is actually true for this one.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SERIOUSLY.......A bitcoin killer? on: May 14, 2017, 07:55:05 PM
I did tell you guys this one was going to blow up! Grin
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SERIOUSLY.......A bitcoin killer? on: May 13, 2017, 07:15:23 PM
look potential. Let me think about it. I will spend time to learn and read about its technology. It is very great if we can avoid attack 51%. But if it can not be mined, how can it be created?

It started in a really unusual way. There is a big back story to it but simply....There was a scam ICO on CCEX called BITMOX, people worked out it was a scam so among the people scammed was a developer and a marketing guy, they talked and decided to get CCEX to fork the coin and try to do something with the coin to salvage investors money. Well the story continues and in the end the developer realises the old coin is a mess and now is building a side coin. So before they really announced his ideas which supposedly he was fermenting for some time it sat on YOBIT for a week at less than 40 sats, then increased quite a bit in last couple of weeks.

Short answer its basically 100% distributed with 1 scam ICO and then sat on an exchange at very low prices for a week. lol

Ive never seen or invested in anything like it fro good or bad, in terms of tech or community creation. It deserves a look thats all I think.

304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Could this coin solve some of the problems Crypto has? on: May 13, 2017, 05:20:25 PM
No ICO, NO POW, NO PREMINE, NO POS.
Unlike any other blockchain. Uses static signed nodes and a CHORDS system to check consensus. Now this system solves any scalability issues, the 51% attack problem of POS, is more secure than any other blockchain as unlike others instead of chasing a random untested node checks across a selection of signed, trusted and static nodes using CHORDS. Its is also far more efficient that anything that has gone before. Also assuming the developer isn't lying they actually worked with Peter Szor a giant in the internet security industry who died a few years back.

Probably this is the easiest way to explain how CHORDS will work in theory.

*The project is only a few weeks old as they go live at 50k block, the community is exploding on slack mainly from only YOBIT (unfortunately) users hearing about it. The community is young and the logos etc are all shit......just accept it.

https://young-basin-20186.herokuapp.com
*You only have 24 hours to register a node, after that period you won't be able to register one of these special elite nodes (thats why I thought it was fair to tell others in the wider community so no one can say they didn't have a chance)
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoins do you want to hold in 2017? on: May 13, 2017, 08:49:23 AM
If you haven't heard about Xtrabytes yet then you will be very upset later this year. Complete revolution in how the blockchain works. There is NOTHING like it. Go research it that's all I'm saying.

But I will say its not POW or POS and actually solves the 51% percent attack problem of POS. Exactly! Unbelievable.

306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone think this coins tech will work? on: May 13, 2017, 05:59:07 AM
I got kicked off the slack so I'm not exactly too popular over there to discuss it haha.

But what do people think about XTraBYtes (XBY) tech? Will it work the whole Static nodes and using Chords to communicate consensus with the nodes?

I'm skeptical hence the banning but I don't want to miss out on something if it actually works. Got a bad case of FOMO basically so I want to run it past some smart guys who actually know something.

Thoughts?

You were kicked off because you were being abusive, you could of asked questions there but you chose to be an idiot.

Just like then this thread seems more about spreading FUD that finding out information. Its all on the thread. Though due to how young the project the visuals are bad and are just temporary placeholders but we have a pro designer making the logo and website right now, bear that in mind please. The developer actually worked with Peter Szor a giant in the internet security industry. He knows what he's doing. Amazing things are being done in this project which are going to turn a lot of things upside down,l like no POW, NO POS, more secure than any other chain, CHORDS is completely new to crypto, it makes for scalability, security,  and the most efficient safe quickest way to create consensus on the blockchain. You will hear a lot about this over the coming months mark my words. The only bad thing about XBY is its only sold on YOBIT right now which means most of early investors are in my opinion a bunch of scammers at least 30% are say, so there are some idiots on the slack. Hopefully more quality people will join.

Join the slack again under another name and maybe if you aren't abusive someone will answer your questions we have already approaching 300 people on the slack and we are only 2 weeks old.

This is the time to get out of big cap coins. I truest believe they are overbought right now. NEM worth 1 billion is a joke, who even uses it?

Small caps with lots of potential will weather any dump.

The Change-over to STaTiC Nodes

Above is an example of the Bitmox Genesis Hash, which is essentially the blockchain we have been working on all along with many changes having been made thus far.

Below you see an info graphic of the hash from the 25.000 to 50.000 blocks. The next step is something MUCH more complex and it will be done in a very special way. Major changes are actually going to occur and it is not normal to make these changes with a live blockchain. As you see, the code changed with the STaTiC registration feature being added. This is the simple way to see it.

As it stands, the current blockchain works, and it is secure like all other coins. Exchange sites accept it as is, but this is not really the XtraBYtes chain. During this changeover, there are going to be 2 chains and we will call them the Founders chain (current chain) and the STaTiC chain (future chain). No, this is not a fork as you will see after the explanation, it is best described as a REBUILD.

One of the major obstacles Borzalom has been planning around is the fact that it is impossible to make big changes to this blockchain. Any and all changes must be accepted by all clients and this was the challenge we faced last week when the exchanges were down for a day. That was a major change that had to be done in order to be able to BREAK the registered STaTiC nodes.

Major changes on a live chain create a highly insecure environment and it was indeed a stressful time when this change was being made. (Remember, this is all experimental… but as I said, Borzalom is ingenious, if not a genius in a full sense of the word. But he most certainly is unstoppable and like every other challenge I have seen him face in the last 3 months, he overcame this one also within a few hours).

When we updated the wallet, all the old wallets stopped working properly and the exchanges had to update their source code also. We do not want to have to deal with this and as you can probably imagine, there are MAJOR changes required to switch over to STaTiC. We also do not want to stop the blockchain and everything until now has been done live, but this STaTiC step requires another approach.

One of the major issues with the Bitmox chain is that it was a copycat chain that has over 13 different types of hashing algorithms that must be removed for proper function. This goes without mentioning the fast that they are not needed anymore with the STaTiC / PoSign system.

The important part to realize is that once these algorithms have been removed, the old block hashes will be understandable by all clients. So, all blocks need to be rebuilt and all blocks need to be accepted by the new STaTiC / PoSign algorithm.

To do this, we need a SPECIAL GENESIS BLOCK which will contain all registrations that have occurred within the 25.000 to 50.000 blocks where all the STaTiC registrations occur.

Some of these blocks are POW, some are PoSign… Some have registration data, some don’t. The genesis block needs to know all the registered STaTiC data and therefore after we close the registration at block 50.000, Borzalom must collect all this data and he will build the SPECIAL GENESIS BLOCK.

For example; if 25.600 and 32.200 and 38.800 and 43.600 blocks have STaTiC registrations then all this registration data will be collected and stored on the FIRST STaTiC+PoSign genesis block and this brings us to the reason why we will need 2 blockchains for a period of time.

As mentioned, this is not a fork. This is a mirror chain that is actually the REBUILD chain. In other words, it is the SAME chain with a NEW Genesis block.

The Founder chain will continue to operate as normal while Borzalom collects the data and once it is all loaded onto the SPECIAL GENESIS BLOCK, he will start up the STaTiC chain and extend it out to the same length as Founders chain with all transactions mirrored.

In doing this, what will occur temporarily is the old Founders chain will continue to work like it is now. It will not need to be updated, stopped or anything like that. It will just continue on while the big changes are occurring over on the STaTiC chain.

After all the STaTiC registration data has been stored on the genesis block all STaTiC nodes must sign the first block and at this point all the STaTiC nodes will be online and can begin to work. Their first task will be to build blocks; 2.3.4.5.......50.000+++ right to the end of the Founders chain.

During this transition period there will be a hierarchy between the two chains. At first the Founders chain will be the primary chain and the STaTiC chain will copy all transactions. All these transactions will be verified by the STaTiC nodes, which is a very good security feature with all transactions being double confirmed. No transaction ID’s or addresses will change and only the 1st block will be 100% rebuilt and changed. This will then convert all other 50.000+++ blocks to the new STaTiC / PoSign algorithm.

Once the entire Founders chain has been duplicated and verified, Borzalom will write a special script to change the hierarchy, making the STaTiC chain the primary chain, with the Founders chain being secondary. After this has been completed, the Founders chain will be retired and shut down forever.

Please note that we will use both chains, with the Founders chain being primary until the STaTiC chain is 100% completed. During this time (after the STaTiC chain has caught up to the Founders chain) the chains will be twins (mirrored). At this point, the STaTiC nodes will show their special powers because they will be running two different clients at the same time; one for the Founders chain and one for the STaTiC chain.

In other words, the two chains will communicate with each other through the STaTiC nodes until EVERYTHING is verified to be 100% accurate and 100% in working order.

After this, we will begin moving towards the NEXT milestone and YES, your STaTiC nodes will be paying you at this point. There are no deadlines here though. Borzalom works as fast as he can without jeopardizing XtraBYtes and all of our investments.

It is also important to make note to all FUDsters that we have always maintained that the STaTiC nodes would be turned on AFTER the 50.000 block. This has not changed… We have now been able to clarify things because as always mentioned, this is all experimental and it is NOT possible to plan so far ahead. Things have to be adjusted to make them work sometimes and now we know how this will be done and have revealed a more detailed description of what is happening to get the STaTiC nodes fired up.

Additionally, there are people who are waiting to start getting paid by the STaTiC nodes. We must be patient with this also… The main income coming from STaTiC nodes is from SERVICES, not transaction fees. The fees will be part of it of course, but the real earnings come with the services. The FIRST thing we need before the services come is a STABLE STaTiC network. There are MANY services planned for the future and storage is one of these. This is why the name is XtraBYtes, as opposed to something strictly storage related.

This is a LONG TERM project and everyone who understands this will be patient and enjoy the long term benefits. Others will fall by the wayside and we understand that. Just keep in mind that we are building a corporation here, not a fast money return P&D coin. Once the services start coming online, this is when the STaTiCs will start to earn the REAL profits.

Life is about choices!

Thank you all for your patience, support and understanding Smiley

Do we know how this coin will work in term of anominity. Would it be possible to add that function later from other open source projects like DASH?  Should we use DASH code NOW to build upon?

Sounds like a change to a clean chain is probably in the long term a blessing in disguise. I was wondering a bit if we could swap away from the old chain from the old scam anyway. Building onto of a scam developers chain didn't seem ideal to me.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: May 12, 2017, 02:06:45 PM
I got all my XBY off YOBIT. Personally I feel very relieved. I stopped feeling like I could trust the site. Its seems to defend too many scammers there.

I won't ever go back to YOBIT.

We need to get onto Bittrex not to increase the price but for security of trading XBY.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: May 12, 2017, 12:43:12 PM
This is getting ridiculous. I created 2 nodes. 1 is working fine. 1 is not coming up as registered on http://borzalom.hu/static-list.html. I've been asking for help for days on the slack and in previously in this thread, and no one is responding. Who are the actual XBY reps that I can reach out to in order to get this resolved? Please message me as this is urgent and I want both nodes working before we hit the 50k block.

You can't register 2 nodes on same IP address. IF you are, I recommend you apologise for scatter attacking everyone for your own mistake, people have been told a MILLION times they can only register one per wallet.

On the slack or all I see is people helping others to set up nodes. If you are using a different PC then maybe you made a mistake so break the node and start again.

THIS IS A FAKE THREAD REBOOT ITS A SCAM TO PUMP AND DUMP THE COIN

Look at this. This is obviously a lie, why would a scam developer pass this one after one week to this guy, its fake.

Can we have some more work on this?

http://xbyblockchain.borzalom.hu/

How about online wallets?

You can't really demand work from people who are volunteering, one because they need to focus on Setting up nodes now and obviously as a community coin so no one is getting paid.

You know many people build stuff for coins if they are Paid. You could give a bit of your coins for somone to make a more developed Blockchain browser. Tons of people on here do it. Balls in your court I guess.

Whos demanding? I wasnt.
Do you know what demanding means?
I have coin, I choose when to donate and how much, not you my friend.
Please feel free to list all the causes you have donated to recently.

My point is you can't sit on the touch line requesting certain jobs are done (and yes you did request)

Advice or better way to do things but not requests and then not be willing do anything in your power.

So it was a request was it? Are you sure it wasnt a suggestion?

Can I have all your coins?

Is it true that we will not be able to register nodes after the 50k block?

No, you can..

Joined the Static node club by creating node successfully.

Do I need a virtual server or something to make a static node? Also I know it costs 510000 XBY or whatever to make it. So if I want to cash out, can I close my static and redeem those 510000 and sell them on yobit or something?

Look through the YouTube channel in the OP and you can see a step by step guide to setting up a node. Join slack and you can get more questions answered.

Yes of course you can break the static and sell the them at anytime. But later there will be demand for nodes so people will pay you to take it off you. There is no burden to have ing a node, it's a win win if you are holding enough coins.

Im not hyping, xby doesnt need hype. But i hoghly recommed you dont sell your coins. Reason is Borzalom has said to Ccrevolution he knew Peter Szor. now he could be lying to ccrevolution but assuming he isnt he is not only legit but must be a very talented guy. Peter Szor is a legend in online security and cryptography who worked for Mcafee very famous sadly he died of cancer quite recently.

i personly trust ccrevolutikn completely so unless borzalom is trying to trick him we have somone great behind this project.

Don't be impatient, XBY, will be listed on POLONIEX and bittrex.

This is indeed good news,Yobit has a habit of setting the wallet in the maintenance status even if the coin is very active so we should not rely on Yobit alone Bittrex and Poloniex are two good exchange and will pump the price once it entered there.

Why is everything a pump? Pump means something is pushed up artificially.

How about the market decides the price and if a good coin rises it's cause there is demand for it...and so the price has to rise. Its called price discovery and the free market....Pumps are what's scammers do.

In all seriousness that kind of stuff is good but maybe that's more slogans, this is more ANN language to explain what this is. You wouldn't nessecarily put it on a website. And actually that's the kind of thing slogans are like for example...

Money for the Next Millennium

Money but better.

Digital money, real lives.

Bitcoin reimagined

XtraBytes, I'm loving it!    Smiley

You know that kind of stuff that if you say out loud makes you kind of cringe. Smiley  but companies love to have.

Did you join the contest for the Slogan? You should have. Nice ideas. I thought the same, too corporative. But these were the final 5.

Honestly I thought it was just ANN description competition to kind of describe what the project was or a more technical description, you know like "Waves is a decentralised exchange platform". But a slogan like I said is more a cheesy tag line that companies use sometimes. Two different things really. The ANN I guess was important to communicate the focus of what XBY is. But a real "Slogan"..no one really cares.....haha.
