3001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash stuck on 15 confirmations at Bittrex for most of the day? on: August 05, 2017, 06:26:00 PM
Bittrex require 20 confirmations to pay your Bitcoin Cash. I notice my deposit has been stuck on 15 confirmation all day. Anyone shed any light on this? Has the Bitcoin Cash network ground to a halt or something?
Not you again? Maybe you could just relax a bit an put your feet up? Once it's confirmed, it's confirmed.
3002  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Has anyone been able to send a transaction using Electrum/ Electron Cash so far? on: August 05, 2017, 06:12:30 PM
Also was having this error. Had a multisig and 2FA wallet.

This worked for me:

1. Sent my BTC to a different wallet.
2. With Electron Cash (version 2.9.2):
2.1 Entered a new name to create a new wallet.
2.2 Choose "Standard wallet".
2.3 Choose "I already have a seed".
2.4 Entered seed of my original (BTC) wallet.
2.5 Choose "Disable" (2FA).
2.6 Sent BCC to bittrex BCC address

This is what you need to do. Worked for me. Thanks.
3003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Gatecoin BCH Deposit Confimrations on: August 05, 2017, 06:10:55 PM
How many confimrations does Gatecoin require for a BCH deposit?
3004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reached 3.2K!! on: August 05, 2017, 05:11:08 PM
SegWit2x is being priced in. Keep calm.
3005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCC/BCH went missing on: August 05, 2017, 04:01:53 PM
In coinomi I must do a few steps, then they show up within seconds. I think it depends on history
But many users seem to have problems with electron cash..
On a Mac so that's not an option for me. Thanks anyway.
Maybe you know another Mac wallet for prince8 ...?
Nope. Otherwise I'd try that too.
3006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 05, 2017, 03:55:05 PM
Any special speculation threads for BCH please? I think I can't discuss them here.
Still if somebody could help, just tell me when the hell will this BullshitCash ever get pumped back? Now I am in a totally "fucked up" condition due to its price going 1/4th the price where I bought. Is it ever going to make that high or even my buy price (BTC0.21) back or is it a dream anyways?

If you bought BCC then I fear you will have to put the trade down as lost or at best wait a very very long time to recoup the losses.

Long time but till when? Can anyone speculate about that too?
I am scared myself why the hell did I even believe in this crap coin! I believe I did it just because it emerged from Bitcoin itself and is going to run with it hand in hand and seeing support of some big companies made me think that this will be something for at least a few days but it proved a nightmare for me.

If it were me I'd dump and move on but I have no patience and the sight of it going down lower each day would just make things worse.
Typically the moves I make are the wrong ones, so do the oppositte of what i would do would probably be your best choice.

That's what I would do too. Cut the losses and pump whatever cash you have left from the sell back into something more profitable - BTC, ETH, STRATIS, SC, or MAID.

Thanks!

Is it a forever fail?

The bcc have to be somewhere?
Imported private keys and bcc says 0???

I did this:

1. Had electrum wallet where i had bitcoin from 31st to 2nd
(electrum wallet with 2 factor authentification from trusted coin)

(exact times: put bitcoins in adress at 31.7    17:00h, put them out again at 2.8 11:00h) -> are the times right?
(sent the bitcoin to other adress)

2. In this wallet went to 'used addresses' in electrum and copy-pasted private keys - there were 2 of them,
always right click show private keys and had to give password every time

3. Uninstalled electrum cash (and moved the electrum folder in the roaming shared folder on c:)

4.  Installed electrum cash

5. chose 'manual server', took casharia

6. made new standard wallet

7. chose 'use public or private keys'

8. put in the 2 private keys in, each one in his own line (pressed 'enter' after first)

9. Expect bcc to show up but are not there
Bitdozer showed 0 bcc on this wallet
(also showed 0bcc on the adress of the bitcoin wallet in 1.)

I have the same issue.
3009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Not Use Electron Cash! on: August 05, 2017, 03:11:40 PM
I was able to deposit BCC and transfer it to do a BCCashout with no issues.
Did you import the private keys or the seed?

When i click to sweep on coinomi and add my private key, it says the wallet doest have any funds ("The private key does not contain any funds"). The funds still show on blockchair
That I correctly understand: Did you transfer your private key of BTC or BCH?

after i got my BCH in electron cash, i transfer BCH private keys to coinomi (and didnt work - "does not contain any funds")
No, try to transfer private key from bitcoin. In some wallets BCH disappear, when wallets are backuped and restored again. You must follow the steps once more as you did on gaining BCH from BTC. The important thing is your BTC history before split. If the step might be risky for you to transfer your btc key, just send your btc to another wallet you own. Then transfer  private key where you had your BTC to coinomi. There you should be able to gain your bch.

Coinomi gave me the same message ("The private key does not contain any funds") when i tried importing my BTC private keys into my coinomi BCH wallet.

ps: i had imported/sweep my BTC private key from exodus to electron cash with success already, but since the transfer from electron cash to an exchange gave en error, i tried with electron cash android app and it starts not showing funds or anything
ps2: the funds are showing on my wallet on blockchair
Does blockchair also have a wallet?

Does it take time after you import your private keys into Electron Cash for the BCC to show? Mine shows 0?

3013  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the current ATH price reflect Segwit? on: August 05, 2017, 01:47:06 PM
Or do you think it will go higher?

Or lower when whales buy bitcoin cash at bottom out prices?
Yes SegWit2x is currently being priced in by the market.
3014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anything I can do to speed up my BCC confirmations? on: August 05, 2017, 10:18:41 AM
Use the ViaBTC BCH accellerator.

I have used their Bitcoin transaction accelerator (and it works really fine, although it is a bit expensive). But this is the first time I am hearing about the Bitcoin Cash transaction accelerator from ViaBTC. Could you please provide me the URL?
Sorry I know for none, I was being sarcastic.
3015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So everyone tells you to take your Bitcoins off the exchange before the fork!! on: August 05, 2017, 10:14:21 AM
I know right!! I sold all my bitcoins before fork happened because i read some shit news about bitcoin fork and i'm afraid the bitcoin price will fall so hard. But yeah, shit way shit move, that makes me lose some money because i don't get bitcoin cash. Lesson learned though, don't trust only from 1 information.
The general advice here was not to listen to all the FUD and to simply ignore it, hodl, buy more, and keep your coins off the exchanges. This is gud solid advice for any genuine hodler. You fell for the FUD and we hear these types of story all the time. I guess you are new here?
3016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So everyone tells you to take your Bitcoins off the exchange before the fork!! on: August 05, 2017, 10:11:22 AM
This kind of thread is completely retarded, sorry for being straight.
People who had their Bitcoin stored in Coinbase are now yelling for not issuing their Bitcoin Cash, and planning to sue Coinbase for causing them an opportunity to sell BCH at peak price.

I'd recommend you to learn independence thinking, you can't blame everyone for everything. (Most people do not appreciate the advice that helped them but blame those which didn't.  Huh)

Not really blaming anyone - the purpose of the thread is to get discussion and thoughts of others - you can have healthy discussion without being condescending Smiley

So what, the general advice still stands - never keep your coins on an exchange. Take responsibility and control of your own money. You are simply criticising the advice because you are applying hindsight to it. Fact is no one knew what exactly would happen. We were in uncharted waters.

Mods it is really time to lock this thread.

3018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is BCH sometimes displayed as BCC? on: August 04, 2017, 09:51:06 PM
the confusion even produced XBH as a fork from Kraken's XBT ... honestly we need more letters as in ABCD coin. A namespace huge enough to carry 26^4 different Altcoins Cheesy

Can you deposit BCH to Kraken to sell?

Not in a timely fashion. 66 Blocks mined, to man confirmations required. In comparison BTC mined 456 blocks in the same timespan. Datasource: https://cash.coin.dance/blocks

Fun Facts: Block 478561 signaled for Segwit, block 478617 states "M6Y q$/Fuck BitcoinCash - bcc.suprnova.cc/"

On Kraken I cannot see any option to create a BCH address to deposit into though.

Why is BCH sometimes displayed as BCC?

I see at Kraken Echange it is called BCH and on Bittre Exchange it is called BCC.
Can you deposit BCH to Kraken to sell?
