3001  Local / India / Re: Increase crypto tax from 30% to 55% on: April 03, 2022, 12:00:47 PM
80% of Indian MPs are like this only, they have their decades-old educations (which too I doubt they have) and centuries-old hypotheses and moreover, they are rigid in their views and not ready to update themselves on upcoming innovation, It's all because of the bureaucrats that they have under them that the country is standing and still working if it was up to these people country would have duped a long time back.

The honorable SC of India itself stated that any activity can be declared as gambling only when the outcome is based upon sheer luck, while in cryptos you can see tons of people making money based on their skills. Moreover, if he is so confident why doesn't he file a writ into the HC saying that Crypto is gambling ban it. Because he knows he lacks the facts to do so. Apps like Dream11 have also now been stated as "Not Gambling" while this gentlemen thinks crypto is gambling.  Grin
MP's I understand but, what about the bureaucracy? They are the one who were supposed to understand and come up with a solution. What they did now in the form of tax is only destroying the community. Most have either offloaded their holdings and some are planning to in the coming days.
3002  Local / India / Re: India's Crypto Trading Volume Plummets After New Tax Rules on: April 03, 2022, 11:52:23 AM
This is just the beginning! In coming months there will be zero volume on many exchanges. The government has driven the community to an extent where people will now use illegal means to cash out. When that happens the government would be helpless in controling such situation and generating tax revenue from the cryptocurrency market.
3003  Other / Meta / Re: Would the IQ test have made the forum better? on: April 03, 2022, 07:00:02 AM
If you know how to search Google then you can easily crack the IQ test. Personally I feel once a while such events can be organised but you cannot implement it permanently to make the forum better. Implementing it permanently would discourage actual human being to join the forum. It will also increase the posting time and people after replying need to find correct answer and maintain a point of 120 or more.
3004  Economy / Exchanges / Re: On the Binance exchange, a complete instruction to peer to peer is available. on: April 02, 2022, 10:46:47 AM
I don't see any reason why people need to trade by P2P when you must complete your KYC. It's Peer to Peer where there's no one involved in this trade, but binance is actually take a control in this. For me the advantages of P2P is no KYC, that's why I trade on Bisq or Localcryptos.

Bisq is one of the best DEX for buying and selling Bitcoin. You can use it to buy Bitcoin worth $10 dollars too. But, you need to get a hang of it first. It is not that simple to use this exchange best option would be to refer to this guide. Zero KYC only happens if you are using the money order system. Zelle is another option but remeber the bank connected to it uses KYC.
3005  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are growing in numbers every day on Twitter, be careful out there on: April 02, 2022, 05:51:25 AM
There are so many different types of scams out there, that if we start jotting them all down then it might become a book and then someone can list that book on Amazon. We have discussed about different scams on this board and one thing that is common about all of them is that scammers are always looking out for greedy people who want to get rich quickly. To all newbies remember that nothing is free and earning money is not that easy as it looks through the internet.
3006  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How true is this ? on: April 02, 2022, 03:02:22 AM
Nope, pretty sure they will block/ban you in their social media since they don't want to let anyone know their shady project. Your valid/legit questions will become useless as your reply will be deleted, almost projects will do like this since they think you're FUD spreader/troll. But, you need to really understand the technical thing, if not you wouldn't have any idea how their coins work etc.

If you ask questions from their whitepaper then I do not think they will ban you or delete your question. If they do ban you then you know that the project is not good for investment. All questions should be related to the project and should be linked from the whitepaper, about the roadmap and about the team. If you ask anything else then they would term it as FUD and repeatedly asking the same thing will result in a ban or a temp mute on their social media channels.

I heard you can burst a project by asking questions, if they are hiding something they won't be able to answer all questions thrown at them, is this true? What questions can one ask a project dev or team to know if they are up to something good or bad?

To an extent, it is possible if your questions are related to the project. It is highly unlikely that they will not be able to answer your question if you stick to the project. If you start comparing it with other projects then they might term it as FUD. I have not seen anyone able to burst a project by asking questions. You can only find a flaw in a project if you read the whitepaper carefully and find more details about the team if they are not anoymous.
3007  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Not happy about my first hardware wallet purchase on: April 02, 2022, 12:56:13 AM
Trezor is the first open-source, noncustodial hardware wallet. The only disadvantage that I found out about Trezor is that it has a small display. Regarding the number of cryptocurrencies, it supports you need to check this list. You cannot expect them to support every shit coin that is listed on CMC. Even exchanges also follow the same method. Also, it would have been easier for everyone here to understand the reason for your rant if you had pointed out which cryptocurrency is not supported by the wallet.
3008  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Always go through CMC when trying to find info about a project, avoid fake links on: April 02, 2022, 12:48:11 AM
CMC can be a good source for a lot of information about different crypto projects but, it will be wise to also check the data available with its competitor Coingecko. I generally prefer using the latter as it is now controlled by an exchange or a cryptocurrency project. Another good source where you can check information related to blockchain games and NFT is dapp radar.

3011  Other / Meta / Re: Is the IQ test really necessary? on: April 01, 2022, 03:25:34 AM
I do not have an issue with the IQ test. This will remove a lot of active bots from the forum and also it will improve the level of posting. There are many who create unnecessary topics and post irrelevant answers that only increase the spam level. IQ test will stop those activities. I would say it is a great initiative by Theymos on 1st April.
3012  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be too greed for more gains.... on: April 01, 2022, 03:14:46 AM
NFT hype is slowly going down and in the coming days, the tokens related to those projects might well not be heard anymore as they won't have any value. If you had invested your time in acquiring Bitcoin then your greed would have been justified here. Anyways greed does cause a lot of problems such as scammers are always on the hunt of finding people who are greedy.
3013  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Gaming hack be warned ethereum (NFT/blockchain) on: April 01, 2022, 03:07:32 AM
This is the second biggest theft in the history of cryptocurrency hacks after Polynetwork. I did post a chart on this hack here. It is the biggest hack reported on a crypto bridge. I am not sure how the Axie Infinity team will be able to recover that amount. This is one of the main reasons why investors should focus primarily on Bitcoin.

3015  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Embed a Video. on: March 31, 2022, 10:46:35 AM
Well, you can use BBcode to embed a youtube video but as informed by other members Bitcointalk does not support embedded video(I am not sure why?). What you have shown in your post is basically linking a video that will take you to the platform where this video has been displayed. It is similar to linking a website url. This doesn't happen when you embed a video. If it was embedded then it will start instantly within the post.
Rather going through such complex linking you can link the video using text or you can display the video URL within the post by code.
3016  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about sharing merits on: March 31, 2022, 09:18:08 AM
From Jr member to Member, all thanks for those who rank me up, I want to ask a question about merits, as a member account owner is it proper to merit someone else? Or too early to be sending merits to others? Thanks.
Merits are not easy to get. If you have send able merits then only merit those post which you like the most. I would still recommend you to wait till you become full member and then start.
3017  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Livecasino.io - 🔥 Review Campaign 🔥 on: March 30, 2022, 06:56:20 AM
Review for LiveCasino.io
Mobile OS: Android
Browser: Brave Browser

For this review, I have used my mobile device. The sign-up process requires you to enter your DOB which according to me was unusual. Thankfully phone number was optional otherwise I would have skipped the sign-up.

By default Bitcoin wallet is activated but I wanted to activate the Tron wallet, which according to me was quite simple. While activating the Tron wallet the screen got stuck for a few seconds. I am not sure whether it happened only tome and if the same happens on the desktop too.

Stuck Screen

After Activation

I did not find any issue with depositing funds. It was fast and easy like other casinos. But, I found the website was lagging a bit.

The minimum amount required to deposit and play is mentioned but I was not able to find out what is the minimum amount required for withdrawal. Also it would be great if you guys add a FAQ page with all the important information. It is a pain to read all the information under the info tab. The home button appears as a white dot for me on the top left corner it should be displayed as a home icon. I am not sure whether the display issue was only for me or it is how you guys are displaying the home icon.

Another issue that I found out was that after my sign-up was done I did not receive the verification email. Later on I had to again request another one, eventually I did and verifed my email address.

Played a few slot games and what I did not like is that they displayed the amount in Euros. I was expecting it to be in dollars. Apart from that everything looks perfect.
3018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World map that shows location of Bitcoin ATMs and merchants on: March 30, 2022, 03:02:13 AM
Coinatmradar is another website that provides Bitcoin ATM locations across the globe but does not provide merchant details. I also do not think they are specifically targeting Bitcoin-based retailers as I also saw hardware wallet retailers being listed on it. This is a good initiative to help anyone who is looking for more than an ATM information.
3019  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About $600 millions hacked on Ronin Bridge 6 days ago on: March 30, 2022, 02:17:29 AM
Another reason why you should avoid investing in shitcoins and start investing in Bitcoin. This is the second biggest hack after Polynetwork as per Bloomberg.
3020  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 30, 2022, 02:12:44 AM
Those who are trying to create the Bitcoin Energy FUD, they should go through the Bitcoin carbon emission data for 2021 and stop this propaganda.
