Is anyone having trouble syncing the wallet? It's been stuck at 14 hours left (block 34369) for a long time even though it says 9 active connections. I've tried downloading the block chain again and it's still stalls at the same place. The wallet client version is v0.8.9.2-unk-beta.
**** EDIT Nevermind. I see the latest client is v0.9.0.0-unk-beta. I downloaded that and it works now.

It was supposed to launch originally on March 15, 12:00 AM PST, then it was changed to 12:00 AM PST on March 16. The dev made no announcement after it failed to launch at that time until 3 hours later. I suppose to give him more time to insta-mine his own shitcoin since he has made no statement regarding a pre-mine. |

A 500.000 pre-mine block 1 should only be for a trustworthy DEV (So not this DEV), who uses it for giveaways, pools, games, etc.

Since MINT is essentially a pure PoS stage going forward, the multi-pools will need to purchase large quantities of MINT in the open market to pay out miners. The increased buy volume should increase the price, though I would say with MINT's much higher total supply maybe not as concentrated an effect as with BC. |

My 2 cents. Mintcoin was\is a great idea. Still the best structure in my opinion. Blackcoin saw this was a great idea and copied it, so good for them.
Blackcoin then came up with a great idea of their own which is the multi-pool. Don't let the fact that BC is a Mint clone blind you to this fact. The multi-pool creates a constant buy pressure on the coin. Think of how much Bitcoin is bought by multi-pools selling alts on a daily basis. That's buy pressure!
Other alts will now build their own multi-pools. The sooner we add one the better.
Except the BC 1-week PoW, 5% PoS reward yield and total number of coins at 75,000,000 are nothing like MINT's. MINT is not the first PoW/PoS either, PeerCoin was. |
