Uh hi... You just registered today on the forum. MJ hasn't been here since 10/30? Why are you having users send monies to his BTC addy?   Huh

Edit - I think you need to adjust your template, otherwise someone else will get the raffle funds.... Roll Eyes

Edit 2 - Is there a box and COA as well? Thanks

Hi I'm interested but can't PM you b/c I'm a noob...  must say that navigating this Forum while noob status is a major pain in the a$$.  I'm guessing this serves to suppress prices because it effectively puts a major brake on impulse buying.

You can buy a "Copper" forum membership and you won't have the shitty posting limits and can post pics etc..

Edit - how did these ship? I have a LTC one, but it has no packaging or wrapper? Is that normal? Thanks - PS not highjacking your thread, I was just curious after seeing all of them! Tongue

I swear by my Trezors.  Didn't like the Ledger because I had to re-load software onto it to hold multiple coins.  I kept having this nervous feeling that I was losing my keys.  I'm guessing the newer Ledgers solved this?  But I'm too in love with my Trezors to switch at this point.

No, it's still the same, but I've never lost my keys by reloading/adding/removing any software. The only thing (IMO) better about Trezor than Ledger at this point is the ability to keep notes on transactions. Tongue

It's always a tough call - Buy bitcoin...? Or buy some new limited edition bitcoin swag? Such a tough call, and now I have to go track down a pizza edition FML!!!

Here ya go Panda!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5058938.0

Any way to tell if these "pizza" nano boxes are really new?  Its super easy to add shrink-wrap to open boxes.  I want to buy one but am unsure about this.

That guy's link above is a newbie. MrStacy is selling the real thing. I can and will vouch for him. Wink

I got a box at a UPS Store.  They said I can have packages sent to the box # without my name.  They also said that there is a law prohibiting them from giving out my personal info to anyone without my written consent.  (I actually had to sign a form acknowledging this law.)   This of course isn't fool-proof, but it's probably good for small-time buyers like me Smiley

This is actually even better IMO, good job.

I'm not sure if ALL USPS PO's allow a secondary name since I had tried to use my forum name and it got rejected (RTS).  From what I've read for my local PO, I could use a registered business name that I own, although I didn't see anything that would allow me to use my user name and PO mailing details.  Some PO's are different and allow aliases, not mine but aliases are allowed for home mailing addresses from my experience as well.

I agree with Krog's issues with Registered tracking, very odd how sometimes it seems like it's on time but it's actually delayed and no employee can find where it is.   Huh

Digi....ask them for a form to add another name to the PO BOX.  Thats all I had to do. They made me aware of it when i experimented withva diff name and the mail was returned. When i asked them why returned they said you need to fill out a form. Bingo!

Is it Form 1093? That's the one that requires any other names to have valid id's - at least in my state. .... Sad

No..that form is to apply for a po box. I dont recall the forms name as they just handed it to me ..i filled out right there and then and signed. Then all they told me was another name will be added to my box. That simple. Ask them to add another name and see what they say.  And no didn't have to show my forum name on an ID.

Pretty sure they'll hand me a paper 1093 - they already told me no aliases or fake names would not work, but I'll give it a try and let you all know

Same here Digi - I actually asked them if I could use another name on the PO box, but they said no, it has to be my name, not even initials will work. I think you are right, all po's are slightly different. I could probably use a business address as well if I desired, but having the convenience of picking up FedEx/UPS signed packed makes it worth it alone to me. As for the form to add people on "the form", they only allow REAL people who have ID if needed, even if it's a business Huh  ....

Yes I understand that and dont mind how slow it is..but when an item is said to be at my post office AND a notice is left IN my PO BOX AND cannot be found...THAT IS DISTURBING.

Oh I certainly agree there - I have had that happen as well, but I chalk it up to the 3 or 4 bumbling old fools running my local post office (rural)... I always got my packs though! Did they find yours ever? Tongue
3018  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Mailing without doxing on: October 26, 2018, 10:24:14 PM
To be honest...

For high valued items..i pick personally..no matter where they are. Would not trust ANY carrier.

For  medium valued items..especially overseas..I use Fedex next day.

For all others registered USPS. But I do have to say...the tracking sucks big time..i have had registered items stuck in sorting centers for up to three weeks while i tore my hair off trying to find it and spending hours on the phone with no luck. Nightmares really as i have had a reg item dissapear in an ISC facility and nobody giving a damn.

Another time it said it arrived in my po box...was also left a notice for pick up..then nobody could find it!  Roll Eyes

Thats my experience..perhaps others have had better luck.

No, I really think that is normal - Registered USPS is SLOW AF..... I was told by numerous USPS people it's because each registered mail package has to kept under lock and key the entire distance. So, assuming this is all MANUAL, that would account for the  tracking slowness....  Undecided

Edit - I have to assume it's some sort of internal "chain-of-custody" .....

I only use USPS since its my favorite branch of government, and they are the only ones who give a damn if your package goes missing. I have things delivered to people all of the time using names that aren't their's. I've sent packages to about 50 different Chiefs, various animals, and a few very smart babies. The only time that you need to show ID via USPS is if you elect to pick up the package from the post office rather than having it delivered. Maybe with registered mail as well, but first class/priority put whatever name you'd like.

Possible exception:

If packages are sent "Restricted Delivery", they require ID as it must be only delivered to the person on the package. (I had to show my ID to the local postman once when smoothie sent me coins). Tongue
