3001  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS Bitcoins for PayPal. on: March 09, 2012, 04:29:43 PM
Do not buy from Dareq

He already took one payment (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=67901.0). Never sent the bitcoins, then his account was mysteriously locked (of course he now doesn't have the money to refund because he spent it). Now he claims to be "waiting for paypal" IE: Use the waiting time on the dispute to take more people's money.

Also I choose not to enforce your thread rules. Forum rules still apply.

3002  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dareq = Scammer on: March 09, 2012, 03:08:36 PM
So, do you think paypal is gonna give me the money back or do I have to call my bank ?

I had to file a dispute once (non bitcoin related), once it ended I got my money back, took like a month though.
3003  Other / Off-topic / Re: So you like my animated GIF avatars? on: March 09, 2012, 02:57:53 PM
Here's a good one, long but funny

3004  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama The Dictator: I don't need congressional approval to wage war. on: March 09, 2012, 01:02:05 PM
I expect calls for impeachment soon.

You're so naive, it's precious.
3005  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dareq = Scammer on: March 09, 2012, 07:11:31 AM
Why didn't you ban him then or delete his thread?

Can't ban/censor people just because they might be a scammer.
3006  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dareq = Scammer on: March 08, 2012, 06:23:36 PM
I'm sorry, that sucks. But why would you use someone who refuses to use escrow services, and refuses to trade with trusted people?
3007  Other / Off-topic / Re: A message in my vanitygen hash. on: March 08, 2012, 05:42:33 PM
There's a few ways to get some, here's a thread with some discussed.

This is the best one. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=54915.0
3009  Other / Off-topic / Re: IMPORTANT! BREAKING NEWS ABOUT MTGOX MERCHANT SYSTEM on: March 08, 2012, 05:15:59 PM

I liked it all. I was sold as soon as I saw the wallpaper.
3010  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie restrictions on: March 08, 2012, 05:08:20 PM
It takes up to 10 minutes, you're almost there  Wink

Have 4 hours in and few post. Still nothing unlocks?!

probably takes a while. I can't be of any help whatsoever, but making this post helps me and it means the admin has more posts on their site, so everyone's a winner Cheesy

(apart from you)

3011  Other / Meta / Re: [Split] Bitcoin press hits, comments on: March 08, 2012, 05:06:54 PM
Good ideas.

I don't know about having just a single thread for it, sticky or not. Will probably just get too cluttered and confusing. I like the subforum idea, have separate threads for the hits so people can talk about those articles in depth if they wish, instead of two pages on how someone totally got x wrong. Or perhaps a sticky in that subforum with news links, and people can create new topics for the ones they wish to discuss. Having a new thread for each one might be a little overkill. Then add a local mod to keep it in order (splitting discussions from the sticky mostly).

Do you guys think people would use it?
3012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [COMMENTS] Bitcoin press hits, notable sources on: March 08, 2012, 04:57:02 PM
Off topic split here
Let's keep it on topic

3013  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: IT Administrator Mining on: March 08, 2012, 04:50:15 PM
Gotta suck to be that guy, I'd hate to lose a job I've had for almost 4 years cause I bragged on the internet to some people I don't even know. Wonder if they'll press charges or just let him resign. If they press charges OP, good luck ever getting a good job. Or a job at all with the current unemployment rates.

Good example of why you don't post illegal activities. It's always gonna piss somebody off. Can't say you weren't warned either.

What your doing is flat out morally wrong, it's theft. And regardless of how you justify it, you're going to have to deal with the consequences when you eventually get caught and:
- You are fired from your job
- You are charged criminally
- You are no longer bondable destroying any longterm career prospects

3014  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Astana used stolen cedit cards? Maged can you back this up? on: March 08, 2012, 02:06:53 PM
Oh good you saved yourself for the moment i'll decide on you later. But not so fast. Those who snitched on me, who are hacking me i.e you absolute fucking  cowards & dogs are not forgiven. louscalet, gigavps, jackrabbit, & psy I want you to write full apoligies in a thread. Or I pull the trigger. 40 lawyers just licked their lips. Don't worry it's not about money, I could give two shits about money now. But what happened was dirty and downright disgusting.

3015  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Airsoft Guns. on: March 08, 2012, 01:18:19 PM
Trying to get your rep up with shady activities probably isn't the best way to go about it. I don't have a problem with it, just saying that people here tend to remember shady stuff because of the scammers we have to deal with.
3016  Other / Meta / Re: Ignored counter on: March 08, 2012, 01:11:14 PM
Should've added a poll, would probably be a lot more people willing to check a box than post.

As for my vote, I don't really have a preference, I'd just go with whatever the majority wants.

3017  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie restrictions on: March 08, 2012, 07:03:42 AM
This forum....as in the Newbie forum. I've been reading the main forums for a long time. I'd like to be contributing, but I can't.
You can read any forum for that, you aren't relegated to just reading the newbie section.
Huh Is there a language barrier here? Because I just said that I've been reading the main forums for a long time. I can't contribute there if I can't post there.

Your original post was talking about how reading the forum was a waste of time, then you clarified that to newbie forum, so I pointed out that you don't have to read just the newbie forum. Like I said, do what you want.  Wink
3018  Economy / Speculation / Re: This might be the end of the correction on: March 07, 2012, 03:30:32 PM
Speculators play a role, but to say it's dead just because speculators can't make easy money isn't a compelling argument.
well let look at numbers ? how much % of bitcoin daily trading/moving is NOT speculative ? nobody knows

That's the real issue right there, we don't know. I just don't think speculators are gonna go away, people only in for a quick buck might. Weak hands might get pushed out, but that's the way it goes.

It does look like its itching for a breakout though.
3019  Other / Meta / Re: We need a "No animated gif" policy... on: March 07, 2012, 02:48:12 PM
There are plenty of ways for you to block the images yourself, why should it be forced on everyone?
3020  Other / Meta / Re: Splitting topics on: March 07, 2012, 02:46:03 PM
I know. like I said, I consider what you did to be part of the game.
What I do not accept is that an admin uses his admin permissions to start a thread with me as the OP, because I would never have started such a pointless thread.

It isn't a "game". Psy, as the OP of that thread, has every right to expect the replies to be relevant to the topic.

And if you really think it's so pointless, then why post it in the first place?
