None.
2782  Economy / Speculation / Re: With bitcoinica down what will happen during this weekend? on: May 12, 2012, 04:41:09 PM
Nah they are pretty stand up guys, they'll do the right thing.

Bitcoinica does need to step it up though, they've had big success but that just makes them a bigger target.
2783  Economy / Speculation / Re: With bitcoinica down what will happen during this weekend? on: May 12, 2012, 04:28:13 PM
Well bitcoinica is down anyway, so they will take everyones bitcoins, sell them, and then rebuy at a lower price run for the hills.
2784  Other / Meta / Re: You have exceeded the limit of 10 personal messages per hour. on: May 12, 2012, 01:51:43 PM

I admin a couple of my own SMF forums, it's changeable by default and with modification packages you can change it per user/group: (mods are also exempt by default)

2785  Other / Meta / Re: MiningBuddy needs a scammer tag, 1st scammer on bitcointalk staff on: May 12, 2012, 01:12:40 PM
Indeed, Bitscalper is the one who took your money. Miningbuddy was just trying to clean up his mess.

Looks more like Miningbuddy got suckered by bitscalper along with everybody else. Bitscalper himself said the funds were "stolen" a long time ago, after a month of inactivity.

I'm stuck now because all the funds left were stolen

Naive yes, scammer no.

what
2787  Other / Meta / Re: How does the klamm.us scammer spammer get out of newbie gaol? on: May 11, 2012, 10:58:23 PM
Maybe, it would explain why it seemed to stop after banning two of them in a row earlier after only making one or two posts. I'd like to think I pissed someone off.

Last time it happened they covered the loss, so they'll probably do that again. I can't imagine the PR nightmare they would face if they didn't.

Yeah I've tried the spread method before, had 80+ temps idle with a core2. Was terrible, really hard to avoid air bubbles that way. I went with the line after that and with a new cooler it brought it to 44-46 under full load.
2791  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's not just you! http://bitcoinica.com looks down from here. on: May 11, 2012, 08:54:11 PM
That's sooo 10 hours ago.

Perhaps while everyone is distracted with the bitcoinica debacle... Wink
What bitcoinica debacle?

Well here is a sample of the names from the ban list:
aiujiugioewg
aiuhshuewi
fdsafjiodjgew
HAIUUHGEWUI
fhiuwhgiuewhg
FDJSAJGOEW

And I'm guessing it's entirely automated cause it responded to bans regularly, not too fast not too slow. We have much more efficient ways to deal with it now, and it seems to have ceased so should be a lot better here on out.

Dang, good thing you were watching. Any idea how they got in?

He's confused or misinformed, they definitely do.

Even if thymos doesn't want to hand you a perma-banhammer, I would support a software change in the forum that allows global mods to temporarily ban a user (for an hour or so).

Something needs to be done, cause wasting a bunch of my time deleting spam posts and being annoyed isn't very productive.

hmm... sadly it seems people are giving him money so it wont end. crazy

I was just thinking the same thing, just proves to him it does work.

He's back, spamming the hell out of the german forum.

theymos should really lock the foreign language forums with a newbie jail also.

Back? He was never gone, you just happened to see one I hadn't gotten to yet.
