3001  Economy / Economics / Re: People have learned about money printing on: December 31, 2022, 01:25:15 AM
I love your "becouse" expression. Grin

People don't care about money printing because they weren't taught to care about it by their families, school or the media. The truth is that most people don't know how the economy of a country works, they simply do their daily tasks, study and execute what they have learned for 4-5 years on the university for a living. Yes, graduated people don't know how economy works. If they have money on their pockets and if they can afford a confortable lifestyle it will be fine. If their wages aren't enough anymore, they will blame the government and politicians of the country, but never the economical measures adopted and practiced there.
3002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is your bitcoin balance at the end of the year? on: December 31, 2022, 12:38:36 AM
Bitcoin caaused alot of lost to people this year, so i believe that whoever that sell make gain in Bitcoin this year are are the people who buy and sell immediately without delay of selling it, fir the people who buy and save or store for long time are the people whom i believe that experience big lost, because this year taje off many profit in the market, which long term investors experience from my understanding of cryptocurrency.
I personally am in the second group in this case because really looking at the current conditions instead of having to sell I prefer to hold on to the end because there really isn't any benefit for me if I sell it now especially with the Bearish conditions still passing because if I really only want to get 5-10 I think this percent is too little for such a valuable asset so it's better to hold on longer than to profit a little by risking not being able to get back in.
Good idea. At the currently scenario the best you can do is to collect most satoshis as possible for the next bull run, so once bitcoin becomes bullish you are ready to collect the sweet fruits of your crops, that is: to sell your holdings and retrieve the investment made. For now, it's not advised to sell bitcoin, unless you need to do this for daily expenses or emergencies. It can be a tough challenge to hold bitcoin and resist the temptation of spending it, but I believe on long term it will worth the sacrifice and you will feel proud of what you have done on the present time.
3003  Economy / Economics / Re: Effect of the FIFA world cup on Qatar's economy on: December 30, 2022, 11:12:59 PM
We have to separate facts and reality from propaganda. The projections made regards Qatar growment on the upcoming years are theories. What I keep in mind is that every nations which host World Cup event use the same arguments to justify the astonishing and massive investments for the event, while basic areas of the country are precarious. I really don't buy the idea a World Cup benefits the host country on long term, and actually, FIFA doesn't give any importance to it. Their only concern is to profit more than on the last edition, what they achieved nicely in Qatar with a profit of 7,5$ billion dollars, superior to the russian edition in 2018, while the host country (or its citizens, to be more accurate) remains beyond with loans and debt to be paid.

For Qatar I think the only positive effect was to increase its awareness in the world. Many people didn't know about the existence of this country and now they know. Tongue
3004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would Satoshi Do (today) on: December 30, 2022, 10:23:06 PM
I think his vision would be still the original vision he had during bitcoin's development. Probably would be happy for bitcoin achievements, growing adoption, but not so satisfied with the centralized path crypto environment is taking. His vision seems to be more at the favour of p2p transactions, every adopter controlling his own coins and being independent from governments and middlemen, while what we see are centralized services growing in number, size and popularity. About the number of altcoins disponible I think he wouldn't bother, since he knows bitcoin is unique and original. Moreover, he seemed to be an enthusiast of freedom, so it's acceptable each person creates their own altcoin, if wished.
3005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing the big multipliers in soccer on: December 30, 2022, 09:24:44 PM
Bad luck this time, but keep trying and adjusting the strategy, at some point you will match the correct result. Next time i just think you should select more carefully which matches you are going to pick. The Porto and PSG ones were unnecessary. That is the kind of risk that doesn't worth to be taken, or maybe you could have placed a lower bet on those matches, so you didn't sacrifice your money too quickly persuing underdogs.
3006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2022 Crypto Dead Projects List on: December 30, 2022, 08:47:47 PM
97 projects 2022-10-27
This collection presents a list of cryptocurrency projects that failed in 2022, including those that announced closure, entered bankruptcy, or had websites that had been inactive for a long time. 26 of these projects had funding in the amount of above $3.6 billion.
Many projects went bankrupt due to the collapse of Terra and FTX
The sum of money scammed by these projects adds almost half of the total sum scammed by SBF/Alameda/FTX. That is a lot of money wasted by investors and that should be remembered side by side with all the big scams of 2022 and their respective stolen amounts. Imagine the difference this huge money could make in the world if used properly for legit causes. How many lives could be improved and how many people could be assisted if those projects had real purposes and impact in the reality. Instead of that, this money is going to pay bails, the wealthiest lawyers available in the market and the luxuous lives of the scammers behind the fraud. It's a shame!
3007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Fun - What Does This Mean To You? on: December 30, 2022, 08:14:18 PM
Gambling for fun means to be entertained during your game. It's similar to that adrenaline and excitement feelings of not knowing what will happen next, but that can be really good for you. We feel it in different situations in life and gambling is an activity which allow us to revive it more frequently, without having to wait for specific events that usually happen only once in a lifetime.

Some examples I could mention: to wait for a birthday, Christmas gift when you are child, to wait for polls' results, to win a competition, to receive your report card at school in the end of the year, to discover the gender of your baby... All these situations awake similar sensations in our bodies, which can be also triggered (maybe in minor scale) when gambling. And that is really rewarding for gamblers and I think that is what makes gambling so funny.
3008  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is cloud mining profitable in 2022? on: December 30, 2022, 07:28:29 PM
If we judge the reports on scam sections about all these cloud mining we can easily conclude that they are all just Ponzin schemes, cloud mining was good back 5 years ago when mining was still profitable and scammers have not found a way to make cloud mining into Ponzi scheme.
There are few good clouding mining sites but earning is not guaranteed because its hard to guaranty profit based on the volatility of the market.
Unfortunatelly cloud mining has never been a good deal for investors. The difference is that 5 years ago people were more naive about this kind of investment and some companies had reputation on this field, because their schemes weren't exposed yet. The concept of cloud mining is useless since the beginning, as you will never be able to retrieve the same sum of bitcoin you firstly invested. On the moment you start the investment, you are already losing money. Income generated decreases day by day until reaching to zero, as it happened to many investors from Genesis Mining on their "lifetime" package.
3009  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 30, 2022, 06:51:22 PM
The very idea of saving money is beautiful. But I could never set aside a certain amount of money for later. I can live on a limited amount of money just fine. But as soon as I manage to earn more, my expenses immediately increase, I stop counting my expenses and they increase exponentially. Although when difficulties with finances arise, I can easily save and reduce my material needs (this was often the case when I was a junior student).
it seems when you see your income has increased, you feel confortable in spending more money, so you have difficults saving funds when you have the option to do so. I believe you can control your desire for purchases in order to revert this reality. When you feel that urge for buying something, wait for a while, think again about what you are doing, ask yourself if you really need that product or service you are going to acquire or if it would be more worthful for you to save that money instead of spending it. Draw long term goals for your money and make it important for you, then the impulse for daily purchases will fade out within time.
3010  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 30, 2022, 05:31:58 PM
You are ignoring the WOF spins here, which is another important part of the premium membership. You will receive a lot of WOF spins by holding your FUN tokens for a long time. And the WOF spins will give you additional BTC, RP, Lottery tickets. There are few more special prizes in the WOF spin. I have decided to buy 50k FUN tokens in the next month and I will lock them for 1 year.
Yes, I'm talking about locking FUN tokens exclusively. You have access to the other benefits even if you don't lock FUN, just by holding.

You are also right in that but one would expect that the price would start climbing again. I think many expected more as the roadmap was promising so hopefully this will give a positive evolution to the price in 2023. In the meantime, just hold them to keep the benefits of the premium membership also.
Well, it would be great to see FUN rising, but I think once bitcoin becomes bullish, FUN token will get behind, because it doesn't have the potential to increase at the same rates of bitcoin. So for each FUN you have, you will sell it for less satoshis of btc.

That is just a theory, though. If FUN can follow bitcoin in price increasement percentage this issue won't exist. Let's say bitcoin rises 30%, then FUN also has to rise 30% to maintain the exchange rates the same.
3011  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 30, 2022, 04:48:14 PM
Congrats buddy. May I ask why are you keeping the FUN locked for only 90 day basis. I mean isn’t it would be even greater benefits if you keep them locked up for whole year. Since the APY is much more higher (25%). Anyways it’s worth it to keep receiving the WOF everyday all the time. I mean can Feel the premium feature already since it is my one and half year journey through premium membership. It has given me more than I could ever imagine I would have earned on freebitcoin. The longer you keep it the more benefits it gives us.
The 25% APY will be only worthful if the price of FUN continues stable in comparison to btc's price.

Today 1 FUN equals to 36 satoshis. Let's say the investment is locked for 1 year, but after that time 1 FUN equals to 27 satoshis. Although you earned 25% FUN interest, you will sell this FUN profit for btc with 25% fall in price (36 - 25% = 27). What means you didn't lose, but also didn't earn anything after one year.

So it may worth to take advantage of shorter locking periods.
3012  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin is King on: December 30, 2022, 04:21:16 PM
The picture representing "bitcoin as king" on this thread is the perfect example of why we, as investors, should always prioritize bitcoin as the main investment in crypto universe against any other altcoins' alternatives. When you look the history of cryptocurrency, there is no doubt only bitcoin is capable of delivering solid and lasting results to adopters.

Some feel tempted to invest in altcoins instead of bitcoin, because they believe financial returns are going to be much superior, but it ends that their choices fall in position and relevance in the market year after year, while those who weren't too greed and sticked to bitcoin, even knowing returns might not be so exorbitant like x10, x50, x100, are still making profit, slowly, but surely, cycle after cycle.
3013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BANKMAN-FRIED PANIC GAMBLES TO REPAY DEBT on: December 30, 2022, 03:55:22 PM
If this news is true, then I am afraid SBF needs to be admitted in a mental hospital if he thinks that gambling can recover his funds. I mean how on the earth is this possible?

No one is ever able to pay their debts with gambling, as gambling is not a source of income, it is just a time passing activity where earning money is just a bonus. Believe me, he will lose whatever is left with him if he decided to gamble the remaining funds.
That is an expected behavior from a sociopath. The guy has no respect and consideration for other people. Since it wasn't his own money he risked that large chunk of 100$ million in gambling. News like this make me more angry yet to see this guy isn't arrested and paying customers back, rather he is tranquil at home, going out, travelling, as nothing had happened, as is his girlfriend, because he had money from customers to pay for his bail. Now the mental disorder card must be the perfect excuse his lawyers will play in worst case, but I think that is a too mild conclusion for this case.
3014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Excessive greed is detrimental to investment on: December 30, 2022, 03:11:29 PM
A bull market will come sooner or later, the problem is that the altcoins invested by OP look shitcoins from pump and dump schemes which have their prices boosted artificially, so whales and developers can drop all their holdings on the market for fast profit, but consequently leading the tokens to instant devaluation with no recovery chances, because nobody in sane conscience is going to invest in such altcoins anymore.

As he said, the only way to make profit from these altcoins is to sell them fast, on the moment they present positive oscillation in price superior to the price you have bought. If you wait too long, you may never be able to sell them again, completely losing the investment.

To prevent this dangerous situation, investors should invest mainly in bitcoin, so they will be safe to hold on long run expecting price recoveries and new ATHs.
3015  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have dream This Chart On https://tradingview.com, Is This Correct? on: December 30, 2022, 03:03:43 PM
Hi guys according to me Bitcoin Is in a Bear market state and I thought maybe technical analysis could help. So I draw some charts and looking at it according to me there could be still More dump in coming days, my mean in Q1 2023.
Despite the charts, there could be indeed more dumps at the beginning of 2023. To make analyzes simpler, I prefer to take only most recent resistance and support levels values in consideration. At this moment the scenario should be considered relatively positive for bitcoin, because we left a support level of 15,700$ behind in November to reach a new support level of 16,400$ right now. It's an inoffensive advancement that must be followed on the next days and weeks, so we can conclude if it's a solid tendency or if it's just a temporary stability proportionated by the Holiday Season to be reverted as soon as the New Year comes in.
3016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We have been told: Invest only Extra money in bitcoin on: December 30, 2022, 02:01:03 PM
For me every spare money after all monthly expenses are paid with bills, food and basic needs in general, is "money I can afford to lose". If I'm not going to use it for btc investment, I'm going to "lose" it in another ways: I will buy clothes or acessories, eat out, gift someone...

And if I simply save that spare fiat on my banking account monthly, I will be literally losing money to inflation. So the truth is that for middle class and poor class, if you don't invest in bitcoin, you don't have any other worthful methods to invest or save your money.
3017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: December 30, 2022, 03:38:55 AM
The thing about movies like the whale is that acting is not just about being able to portray someone, it's about making the people believe that you are that person, and that's the hard part. This dude gained so much weight, and they still had to put so much prosthetics on him to make him look even fatter, and he did convinced everyone that he was having this trouble.

Let's realize for a moment that he was very fit, go back to the mummy and you will see how fit he was, so he had to gain some weight but he was already "not fit" before any of this as well, so he knows a bit about this pain. All of which combined with his acting skills made sure that he actually provided some amazing talent and skill to portray someone. Christian Bale is famous for this as well, losing and gaining weight is not simple, it's morphing your body to the role, it's an amazing dedication and definitely deserves awards.
I think Brendan Fraser is a good pick on this award, because besides the movie, his real life story is being shared intensily on the internet. I didn't go deeper, but I heard he had many difficults in his career and personal life during the last decades, after The Mummy movies. I believe he had or still has depression and fights against it with all his effort. I suppose they will give him the Best Actor Oscar because somehow he portrays the pain he felt in real life on this movie.
3018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the motives that drive you to gamble? on: December 30, 2022, 03:25:39 AM
I was firstly motivated into gambling for profit reasons. I believed it was possible to make decent profit wagering at dice game to grow my bitcoin holdings progressively. Tried several times with different configurations through the usage of bot, but ended losing my satoshis earned from faucets. After several attempts I realized I was seeing gambling in the wrong way and if profit was my goal I would have to find a different activity to fulfill my objectives, remaining gambling solely as entertainment to play from times to times at the company of friends and family, if possible.
If you want to gamble you can profit from it. But for that you have to bet there. You need to know about the things you bet on. Gambling is something that if you ever bet on something, you have to put your full faith in it. And if you accidentally lose, you lose all your money. So not only gambling, you can bet after the gambling you are good at, then you can definitely profit from gambling.
Maybe. It's an unpredictable situation. You can win or lose money, you never know. All you can do is to hope to be among the slight percentage of lucky gamblers who profit from a nice win streak or a big jackpot winning. But I can assure you it's not through dice that gamblers are going to make profit. It has to be on the lottery, slots' jackpot or sports betting. After all, to be good at gambling actually means you have to be lucky, that is all.
3019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: December 30, 2022, 02:18:34 AM
Some people are really just too much in a hurry when it comes to price movement which they do really believe that it would reach out on a certain point but you are that expecting much which would

result into that frustration and disappointment.Yes its true that we should not mind about 100k because breaking that all time high price is something that we cant break it too easily.
Lots of positive news that we are needing before we could able to see this situation.

Lots of recognition and lots of investors or simply demand which would drive out the price into those levels.
Bitcoin reaching 100,000$ will happen only when we enter a new bull run, what should happen in 2-3 years yet. By there, we can expect bitcoin price is going to remain stable or fall a little more to a new support level below 15,000$ or so. 2023 is a year of uncertainties for bitcoin. I believe the new year can be good for bitcoin only if it's a decisive year of punishment for scammers who created a lot of issues and losses for investors during 2022, and also if exchanges and online wallets become more transparent regard how much they are holding and what cryptocurrencies they are holding in real time.

If we have such good news, then there is some chance we see a glimpse of what could be a bull run still in 2023. However, to dream about 100,000$ seems too much in every cases. Once bitcoin hits at least 69,000$ again I will start thinking about it.
