seriously?
3002  Other / Meta / Tipsters are cancer to the Gambling sections (exceptions apply). on: July 16, 2016, 09:05:16 AM
So, I don't really know what you need to call yourself a "tipster", but frankly, I think my little niece could do the same job those guys do.

There's a huge amount of tipster threads currently clogging up the gambling sections and most of them (not all) are just cheap excuses to spead referral links.
Apparently, that's no problem with moderation.
Despite the fact, that referral links usually are a huge no-go, they seem to be acceptable for tipsters, if they just make up a reason why team X wins game Y.
Naturally I would be going by the (unofficial, I'm well aware of that) forum rules and just report most posts with a ref-link in them.

Forum rules
4. No referral code (ref link) spam. [1]
Some guidelines:
4. No referral code spam.
Previously, they all (or at least most) got deleted. With tipsters, this seems to be differently. Here, I disagree. I consider those tipsters and their threads mostly worthless, and as a result spam, even more ref-spam, if they include their reflinks like most do.

Let's have a look at some of the crowd. I'll be starting with Zilara12, a nitrogensports.eu affiliate.
The user currently runs 3 active threads in the gambling section, one for dota2, one for csgo and one for league of legends.
Despite the fact that these all violate the newly added marketplace rule in which reasonably similar offers have to be united in one thread (all are esports tips, that's rather close to each other, isn't it?), let us have a look at the content of these "tips" they share, take this one.

Code:

And now we'll single out the ref links

Code:
[url=https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/113683fbCtkSzQxZG9YejlUV25sa1RMaG9Ndz09/r/568750/]https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/113683fbCtkSzQxZG9YejlUV25sa1RMaG9Ndz09/r/568750/[/url] (<- here's the first one)

Help me out by using my referal link : [url=https://nitrogensports.eu/r/568750]https://nitrogensports.eu/r/568750[/url] (<- here's the third one)
[center][url=https://nitrogensports.eu/r/568750/] (<- here's the fourth and last one) [url=https://twitter.com/milos_zikic] (<- bonus: twitter feed full of ref links)
Now let's do the same again, just this time, let us search for acutal constructive content.

Code:
Match starts today (14th of July) at 5:10 PM CET TIME (<- we've got a date)
[img]https://i.gyazo.com/c3a596eb35d880262551320de5a4013e.png[/img] (<- here's our "tip")
B02s can be tricky, bet low. (<- and a "valuable" comment)
And that's it.

That post is mostly bullshit, either overloaded with ref-links, or with crossreferences with the other tipster thread by the same user, filled with the same ref-links.
Contentwise, that is very, very little. On top of it, the users craps on all marketplace rules, for example the 24 hours bump rule. I'm gonna use default forum time here and only focus on the LoL thread.

If we're talking about a spam problem this forum has, that right there is certainly a part of it.
"Tipsters" running 3 seperate threads full of ref links and bumping each of them almost twice as often as they'd be allowed.
3003  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is JETWIN.ps a complete joke? on: July 16, 2016, 08:02:02 AM
You guys should try jetwin.
Funny how in this case, the "guys" isn't just a collegial way of referring to a crowd in general,
it's actually guys guys, as in males.
3004  Other / Meta / Forum Ad breaking the space. on: July 16, 2016, 07:16:54 AM
Cross-posting this here, as it's rather off-topic in the current ad auction.

Not sure if it's a good place to post it but surely you wont miss it this way admin.
Magnification of the page is irrelevant, those pointed always stick out.
I'm with Firefox.
Look like you're missing the font being used in that ad, and the one it's being (automatically) replaced with needs more space, hence the ad breaks it's designated space.

For comparison, this is how the current adrotation looks to me:

3005  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is JETWIN.ps a complete joke? on: July 16, 2016, 07:07:27 AM
Dear Reymund
That's a male name, correct? Because jetwin.ps seems to have problems with the other gender.
3006  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTT] The Bitcoin Penny Company Doodle / Sketch Collection on: July 16, 2016, 06:57:52 AM
I'd love to do something like that! (I've been asked a few times for similar things, such as calendar, e-book, etc.) I'll definitely look into it soon.
A doodle a day keeps the doctor away!
3007  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase is silently tracking how you spend you coins on: July 16, 2016, 06:43:38 AM
You really think that if Bitcoin goes mainstream you'll be able to avoid regulations by using a local wallet? If the government gets involved in Bitcoin, and they will if Bitcoin becomes a legal currency, you can be sure that every single coin movement will be tracked. The blockchain makes it impossible for anyone to do anything without being noticed.
Bitcoin will stay pseudo anonymous no matter what, unless you're afraid of a change in code, that none would adopt to anyways.
That being said, no matter how many eyes are watching, being pseudo anonymous is perfectly fine for me, with a few additions here and there.
3008  Economy / Lending / Re: need a loan of 0.0472 on: July 16, 2016, 06:31:23 AM
don't seperate threads.
Don't you do it either then.

you're looking down on -0 trusted users
I'm looking down on everyone equally. Or looking up. Or straight forward. I'll now leave you this little ecard in an humorous attempt to increase your grammar knowledge.

i really don't know what your aim is
On this forum generally? Well, I have a lot of fun here, and I also try to help where I can.

are you trying to make me go away from bitcointalk.org because if you are im not going to fall for it your mistaken in the head
Didn't you say you'd leave in the other thread? Anyhow, I couldn't care less whether or not, how you proceed is your business, not mine.
3009  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should Lauda *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: July 16, 2016, 06:17:42 AM
I was understanding that you did not wish to discuss Lauda. What happened?
I didn't want to comment on, nor take sides in the conflict between Lauda and Defcon.
As this has clearly shifted to something else now, I don't see the need for me not to comment on it, if I feel like doing so.
I'm happy to comment on Lauda (as I did in this thread earlier aswell), it was the situation I was trying to stay out.

Summa cume Lauda (sic) I vote remain - no Bitexit for Lauda
s/o for wordplays and brexit jokes. Thumbs up!
3010  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should Lauda *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: July 16, 2016, 06:12:15 AM
The user wasn't forcing Mitchell to do anything.  I don't see them talking about Mitchell.  I think they just meant anyone in general. Whether someone wants to give info on Lauda is their business. Although I don't understand the point of doxing because it should be illegal here.
OK, where do I start?
I've shipped stuff to Lauda in the past, I got stuff from Lauda.
Both times, the shipping was handled with Mitchell acting as halt in between.
From what I've gathered in chats/talks with Lauda, aswell as generally, that's the common way when dealing with them.
Anyone who would have shipped to Lauda would only be abled to provide Mitchells address as a result.
And the only person to provide the acutal dox is, correct, Mitchell.
3011  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should Lauda *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: July 16, 2016, 05:54:29 AM
If you have the DOX of Lauda please PM me.
Mitchell, DONT!

If you shipped to Lauda please PM me the address shipped to.
That's most probably Mitchell, in 99.99% of the cases.
Leave them out of this, they've got nothing to do with the conflict between you and Lauda.

I will verify with public sources and publish her DOX.
My guess is, you won't.

You also kinda destroyed all your credibility in this thread with that post up there.
Trying to dox lauda seems like a desperate last swing to me.
3012  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase is silently tracking how you spend you coins on: July 16, 2016, 05:48:31 AM
This is something people will have to get used to if we want Bitcoin to ever go mainstream one day.
Only as long as they opt to use shitty online wallets, may they be called coinbase, xapo, blockchain.info and whatever else.
If you'd use a properly set up local wallet (electrum, core, armory,...there's enough for everyone to find a favorite), that's a whole different story.
3013  Economy / Lending / Re: need a loan of 0.0472 on: July 16, 2016, 05:46:06 AM
its 3 months old and i don't see the point in lutpin being here he's messing my account up
There are several points for Lutpin being here, neither of them is of your concern.

he won't even allow me to sell it
I stated an obvious problem with your account sale that's only indirectly related to me myself.

if he wants to buy my account he can
I never did, nor will I any time traffick in accounts.
If it was up to me, accountsales would be banned on this forum and violaters would get their accounts closed as a concequence.
It's not up to me and I have to let you do your shady business, doesn't mean I get involved anyhow.

my trust is because of this thread and another one of me asking for 35.8btc i'm not a newbie so what is it

Your trust is because of your decisions and your posts/threads, it's called concequence of action.
3014  Economy / Reputation / Re: negative trust been mislead by lutpin on: July 16, 2016, 05:34:55 AM
I don't even have negs left to you, hell, go cry to the ones that do.
You've essentially failed to understand the bitcointalk trust system and you're barking up the wrong tree.
Go ahead and assemble all the guys being owned by me,
maybe the one that asked for a $6.6Million loan the other day will join you in your endeavor against the misleading lutpin guy.

you got no negative trust.
Coming from someone who knows a thing or two about negative (default) trust.
3015  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase is silently tracking how you spend you coins on: July 16, 2016, 04:54:12 AM
We've never heard of a bank that tells people what they can and can't do with their money.
Try using your credit card at an illegal (/unregulated) physical casino.

This has to do with basic US laws. Coinbase is a registered company and hence has to follow the laws they're under.
This means FinCEN having an eye or two on them, and in conclusion also all coinbase users.
Online Gambling is a big red flag in the US (or at least most states, I'm not an expert on their laws, rather sharing what I've come to know over the time),
there's a reason why Primedice and some other sites block users from the States.

My negative trust has been removed by lutpin
Someone called me?

@OP:
You've still got negative trust from whywefight, a user currently on DT3 backed through several ways (including me),
with the potential (regardless how small or big it might be) to reach DT2 or higher in the future,
resulting in your accounts trust status changing back to negative without any further action required.

This isn't something new, coinbase has been closing accounts over involvement with gambling providers for ages.

A report from December last year for example: Coinbase closed my account after 1 week!
A collection of links regarding the matter posted last month: Coinbase - Gambling

This is going as far back as to 2014, where NLN posted the following thread: Gamblers, be careful with Coinbase!

Of course. They are a regulated company following regulated rules. You shouldn't expect less.
Yep, indeed. This shouldn't be news to anyone, and it shouldn't be shocking either.

Anyhow, I'll catch up on that shortly, and we'll all meet again on the 31st, when we'll crown yet another Prediction King.
Don't miss to rank up your crypto-games accounts in the meantime,
I might increase the requirements for faucet ranks for the following months, just to keep up some competition Smiley
