Yes, bitcoinary is a great idea and implemented fairly well, however there is not a lot of activity on the site and there are a lot of bogus bids from people testing it out. I'm not a big fan of all the social media integration, but when you take VC money that is required because YOU, and and all of your info and connections become the product.
Generally the social media doesn't bother me... but to want to post tweets as me? eh, no thanks. It was supposed to be for identity verification. I think that "post as you" permission is so the bitcoinary API can post "EreBusBat just traded on Biconary!" to the Bitcoinary twitter stream. I use to follow Dwolla on twitter but the only thing in there stream (besides complaints of Support not getting back to people) were their incessant "Paid with Dwolla! tweets every time the dwolla staff bought a cup of coffee or ate a burrito. |

What do you mean by bogus? How is testing the water bogus. BTW Maria just listed a trade 10,000 BTC for 95,000 USD Cash Deposit Good point. I guess by bogus I mean that the bids were of no interest to me like .001 BTC for PPUSD or 100000 BTC for ________. Such that I actually no longer check the trade book. Maybe others are looking to trade 0.001. There is much more regular and serious trading activity here and on btc-otc. |

use the mtgox api to generate BTC prices based on the USD price.
Use the the blockchain.info api (in beta) t linked to a blockchain.info account to automatically generate a unique bitcoin addresses labeled with your unique order number for each bitcoin purchaser.
then before you ship you check your blockchain.info account for the order number, amount sent and number of confirmations (you could also do this programatically with the api as well).

And I think as long as everyone knows that TheBitMan is working towards that goal everyone is glad to continue to be patient. So any updates on progress from you, Patrick or TheBitMan would be appreciated.

Yes we do have his contact info which will be used for the sole purpose of filing the claim and will not be released here. As we have not heard any progress on the loan or any other recent communication from TheBitMan I think it may be time to file the claim. For those users who have not already done so, please PM a screen shot of the reversed charges from TheBitMan. This will be used to present evident of the amount owed and will also be used for redistribution of any funds.
