Ok I test the bootstrap.dat way once but it takes a long time to verify the data, so I cancel it.
What will you do if your harddisc will crash and you loose your whole blockchain?
Have you got a backup of it?

It really doesn't take that long, I actually have setup about 3 different bitcoind, 2 main network and 1 test network, and waiting a day, isn't too bad. So why back it up and waste that space.

why is the pic in black and white, very fish. I do want everyone to know SynOps has lied about having an LLC so be careful when dealing with him.

the paper is white, the silver is silver , the marker is also silver, and the desk is black....are you blind or just like to attack users?

and why are you attacking me anyways, I pay all my loans on time, and sometimes early, the thread you attacked me in , I paid all 3 of them their loans on time or early!

The LLC is legit, and I even posted our IRS EIN Paperwork in the (first) thread you attacked me in.

How am I attacking you? We have researched your EIN and paperwork it is false. You are lying about your LLC it doesn't exist and people need to know that before dealing with you.

Your just spreading lies that can hurt my business. My paperwork is completely fine and I confirmed that yesterday with the VA SCC and Spotylvania County. (I was on the phone so long and drove so much I wasn't even online yesterday!).

I have had my businesses for a while now, and I will not lie, You making the accusations that my paperwork was false made me instantly find out why my information was indeed not showing up online. I even searched a few business that my friends or family own and only 2 of 9 of them didnt show up. If I include mine not showing up, that would be 4/11 that did not show up online. I am 100% legitimate about the work I do and I have all my paperwork in order. I also have the paperwork ready to submit at the end of this month to pay the $100 fee to the VA SCC for 2013.

But it wasn't just your LLC your EIN doesn't come back to your company, and that is on a federal level. Also every LLC is listed online how else am I suppose to know you have an LLC. Otherwise everyone would be like I have an LLC and it just doesn't show up online. Come on you don't have an LLC just admit it.

hm, wouldn`t  the network know it if its altered? I understand it in this way, that the client
check the blockchain when it starts with the network and if there is a collision than he will
fix it?! Or is this wrong?

If not than there is a big problem in the future. If the blockchain reached 10 GB or more,
you can`t never start to download the whole blockchain from the network or it takes
2 month and more Smiley
Maybe you can take down the network to download the blockchain with many clients or
disturb the capacity?

hm, maybe a hash over the blk00x files will help to warrant that the file is ok if the bitcoin
guys post the hashes on there site?

It only validates it upon downloading the block, if it is already in the database it doesn't validate it. Size of the blockchain has been taken care of in the 0.8.0 Version which you can test right now.

A wiki? It looks like a company wide time machine back, I think that would be the most logical thing.

If you're an alpha male, show her and she'll come around...

This is so false, maybe in caveman days this is how it worked not today. I am not an alpha male yet I can pull some hots girl. Girls want three things, they want a person that will care for them, surprise them and someone who is funny.

And then when they finally find that they put that person in the friend zone while trying his patience constantly Tongue

I be honest, most girls from 18-25 really just want someone that is going to F them hard. But 26+ they want a real relationship.

honestly, tell me how to otc irc in three sentences consisting of less than 30 words each

Ok use ;;auth <username> command to login you get a challenge clearsign it then put it in pastebin, pass raw url using verify.
To rate use ;;rate <username> <rating> <reason>.

Those are really the only commands you need.
3013  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: December 10, 2012, 06:12:44 AM
There are scripts that make it easily I have one, that i use. But honestly if I had to do that manually each time it isn't that much harder, yes it is a lot of reading but it is teaching your a process that keeps your identity safe and secure.

If you can't use IRC then you shouldn't be using bitcoins

Tell your parents or your grandparents that if they can't use IRC and figure out how to use commandline interface to control OTC, then they should be able to take out loans for anything. Only a tiny fraction of the world are computer nerds.

It isn't rocket science, it is just GPG keys and really easy to setup, there even gui's and videos. IRC is not harder than aim or skype (which has a chat engine similar to IRC) and I see those videos all the time of old people using skype.

Not without giving your keys to BTCJam, which would defeat the purpose of being authenticated.

There's no need to give private keys, any more than the need to give it to IRC. I'm just suggesting a web interface that is actually plugged into IRC at all times, which lets you register and verify yourself using the same commands you would use on IRC, but disguised with pretty web entry text boxes with "Copy and paste the decrypted text here" instructions and such, with easy to follow ratings options after you have registered. Is that possible?

What makes this easier then logging on to IRC and following the same instructions they give you, it is legit the same thing.
3015  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: December 10, 2012, 05:19:45 AM
I meant that a lender can't rate someone using OTC through the BTCJam website. They have to go through IRC, which I'm guessing most people have no idea how to do. Not that OTC ratings aren't refreshed. Is it possible to somehow plug OTC things into the site, so that people can do all the registering and rating using simple menus?

If you can't use IRC then you shouldn't be using bitcoins

3018  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: December 10, 2012, 04:53:04 AM
I'm having an issue with creating/using a new address (version 0.86/Linux).  I have a wallet with two addresses (neither imported).  When I add a third address using Receive Bitcoins, everything seems to go fine and then I copy the address and close the wallet.  I sent some BTC to that address but didn't see any acknowledgement on the main screen.  I open the wallet again, and the address is gone!  It was definitely there on the third line when I closed the wallet.  So then I create a new address and it gives me the same address again!  Whew, I thought I lost those coins.  I then add the new address and see all three in the wallet again.  Just to be safe, I printed out all the individual keys.

Then I close the app and restart it.  The third key is gone again!  I tried to import the key from the backup, and it says the key is already in the wallet.  I click the Receive Bitcoins button and the same address reappears.  I close the wallet and reopen it, and the address is gone again.  Then, just as I am typing this, I see a transaction appear with that address on the main (Transactions) screen with one confirmation.  I look in the wallet and the address is there, hopefully for good. This is the first time I have seen this sort of behavior.

This only happens when armory is reading the blockchain and you try and add an address.
