I don't care about the scam accusation, but I want every reference to me being a pedophile removed. It really disturbs me. I'm tired of your accusations against me, because you know absolutely nothing about me. I anyway liquidated that as the behaivur of an envy coder for my age and for what I do.
How do I get a feedback from a moderator about this?
i do agree that unless he has proof you're a pedo, all of his posts should be deleted. it's libel and nothing more.

I thought that the maximum block size was one megabyte? It's about 250KB?
it can be bigger, but fees end up exponentially bigger as the blocks size increases. Shouldn't the default mining implementation fill the block with transactions paying the highest fee per kilobyte: sort all pending transactions by fee per kilobyte, descending, and take as many from the top that fit?
Isn't this the logical end-game for miners to maximize their return on block rewards? If mining clients don't already do this, won't they tend towards this model?
it's trivial to include another transaction, and there's less of a chance that a transaction that has been sitting around for a long time is spammy, so old transactions also get high priority.

So your $25 credit is transferable to other Amazon accounts by way of a code? Usually they don't let you transfer those, or buy gift cards with them. You may be able to buy some MP3s worth $25, gift them to someone, then that someone converts them into gift credit...
that seems more hassle than just having someone log into my account, and buying it. also, found someone

The windows setup.exe is signed, as is the Mac .app bundle. The executables inside them are not signed (I can't think of a good reason to sign them, it would not increase download security at all).
You can also still check the download packages using the SHASUMS.asc file, which is signed with my gpg key.
And if you are running Linux or Windows you could check all of the files in the installer against other core developer's keys.
If the code signing certificate was revoked then we would go back to just using gpg keys. The code signing certificate is great because Windows and OSX know how to check it automatically when the download happens.
I don't use the setup because I want to avoid going through tedious steps with the installer. most software makers sign both their installer AND their binary, so I don't see why bitcoin should be any different.

My big concern is that Mt.Gox (i have coins there) seems to have the majority of the trading market. I would love to see more competition. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) Sell on a smaller exchange. You can probably get a better price anyway the spread will be bigger, which means you will get a worse price, unless there was a large surge/crash and no one has caught on yet.

Mac and Windows binaries are signed with certificates owned by the Bitcoin Foundation, to be compatible with the new security features in OSX 10.8 and Windows 8.
are these signatures only visible in windows 8? because i'm looking at the binary and it does not have a digital signature.

It would be even better if it was a picture of some sort of physical bitcoin coin....wait....what is the current background again?
like i said, it's faintly visible, and it doesn't stand out at all. if someone looked at the image, and you asked them 30 sec later what symbol was on the coins, they would be clueless. infowars: do not want

I think it will look better (and more meme like) if you used the bitcoin logo with a pinwheel background. the current image doesn't really relate to bitcoins.
The current image doesn’t relate to bitcoins, in the sense that they are bitcoins. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) it's just a random guy with horrible facial hair, and some gold coins with a faint btc logo.

is the bitcoin.conf something I need to create or can it be found somewhere in the /program files/bitcoin folder?
create it in: %appdata%\bitcoin\ yes, it's a folder.

If your account has a $25 credit on it, then wouldn't you buy it with your own account, ship it to let's say, me, and then I give you the $20 code which you then give back to me? I don't understand. Also shouldn't this topic be moved to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0because i'll need a US credit card (billing address != shipping address makes cc company think it's fraud).
