3001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling mistakes and amendment on: January 01, 2022, 09:11:27 AM
I guess my mistakes is not pulling the trigger early and then regretting it. So I've learn that whatever I want to bet, then I have to bet right away and not to wait anymore.

Yup, we shouldn't be addicted and hope that the new year will bring prosperity for us gamblers. Obviously, I want all gamblers to win big in 2022, so best of luck and remember not to commit the same mistakes.  Grin
3002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 01, 2022, 03:26:41 AM
That's great to hear that ioka win his fight against his fellow Japanese. I never seen the fight, but base on the score it is really close as Fukunaga might be thinking of pulling an upset against the champion.

Nevertheless, the last title fight for this year was expected as usual and there was no derail for a potential fight between Ancajas and Ioka. Maybe in the last quarter of the year, if they still wanted the fight to be held in Japan, this fight can push through.
3003  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going to $53k or down to $48k? (Bullish Scenario) on: December 31, 2021, 11:04:12 AM
The major resistance for now is $60k, because the resistance barrier $50k is crossed and if $53k is reached there is more chance of reaching the previous ATH by the days around Christmas. If this doesn't take place, then this year is gonna end on the bearish move. Because, more selling of bitcoin will take place during the year end than other months. This time the trend can change as there is better understanding and adoption of cryptocurrency.

Still $50,000 in my opinion, yes it was broken but we didn't sustained it and now we are below that price again. So for now forget about $60,000 that will be too big for us to even go as the sentiments have shift to being bearish or least in the middle grounds of it.

On the contrary, last year there's not much selling in December as the price keeps climbing up. But we are in a different scenario for this year and we have to accept that fact.
3004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 31, 2021, 10:25:17 AM
{..snip..}

I don't think he Spence is avoiding Crawford. Maybe it make sense to get the belt from Ugas first and then go after Crawford for the unification bout in mid or late 2022 that will put a lot of money in the table. Maybe Crawford can fight Thurman too if "One Time", can get over Barrios this February. So there's a lot of options still open for Crawford while waiting for Spence.

Or the schedule doesn't match the two, Crawford just won against Porter and then Spence trying to make a comeback so it's better for him to fight Ugas first as Crawford might not be available the soonest.

So once Spence take care of Ugas then maybe they sit down and talk. Forget about Thurman, he is not that active so he needs to climb back in the rankings. And he is fighting an overblown 140 lbs ex-champion so it doesn't really count.

But Thurman winning against a weak opponent in Barrios will put his name again. He was once considered the best in welterweight, until he gets injured and then beaten by Manny.

And yet all roads goes to Crawford or Spence, but it was the first time I've heard that Crawford is not going to fight in 2022? Is it because of contractual issues? I thought he didn't re-sign his contract with Bob Arum after his last fight with Top Rank. So he should be clear to fight anyone in 2022.
3005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez Feb 19, 2022 on: December 31, 2021, 09:49:38 AM
Yes it did turn out to inspire other filipino boxers to take the same path and now we are seeing those potential ones who could potentially go on the same step on that Pacquiao had achieved
even though its still too far to consider out but having these small steps would really progress out.

Maybe he is considering following the step of the champion legends who were defeating every champion in their respective weight division while climbing to the top just like Manny Pacquiao did when he started to beat Ledwaba in his first fight in the USA. Ancajas have some similarities with Pacquiao and if he trains hard and works for his new technique that would surprise his opponent and break their defense, he might become one of the great boxers in history. But that will require a massive amount of effort and dedication to making it come true.

Of course, every boxers from the Philippines uses Manny Pacquiao as their inspirations. How many Filipino boxers or at least how's the boxing community in the Philippines exploded after Pacquiao breaks into the scene? And up to know new boxers are looking at him because of his accomplishments. But this fight is really difficult for Ancajas but a win here will be really big for him career wise. He could really break in the US mainstream just like Manny did when he beat the champion Ledwaba.
3006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 31, 2021, 09:31:00 AM
I'm still a fan of Tsitsipas but as @Trofo as has said, he is out of form from last year and it was surprising to see that he still maintains this spot in the top 4.

And it will be interesting to see Thiem making a comeback and disrupting the momentum of Medvedev and Zverev in trying to catch up or challenge Djokovic every tournament.
You are forgetting first part of the season, actually clay part of the season (March-May) when he was playing his best tennis. Plenty of points to get nice ranking. Sorry if I got something wrong since it is mostly from the memory with a little help of google.
Acapulco final lost to Zverev
Monte Carlo winner
Barcelona final lost to Nadal
Lyon winner
RG final lost to Djoko

Both Tsitispas and Thiem will target their form/come back for clay season where they are strongest. If Tsitispas does not find the form on clay that will be the time when he will loose a lot of points. He has to defend all those titles/runner up positions and i expect he will not be able to do it that well. That will be the time for his ranking to take a hit. But it also works in opposite direction and he will have a lot of chances to get it back towards the end of season when he has no points to defend.

Yep, I know, Tsitsipas is a clay court player, (I wouldn't call him specialist yet).

But after the clay court season, it was really down hill for him, he should be at least consistent and try to really improved in grass and fast surface and be an all around player. That's how great tennis players are define in my opinion and not just focus on one type of court.
3007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A different December indeed on: December 31, 2021, 08:59:19 AM
Today is 31st of December and by now you should have know that 100btc in 2021 is impossible and also things is different this time around, December is always a good year for crypto most especially when bull season is still around but this December brakes that history and become something we haven't seen before, what have you learn here?

You mean the expected prediction of $100,000? Yeah, for obvious reasons it didn't happen. And agree, usually December is very bullish month, unfortunately, with the discovery of the new Covid-19 strain, somehow investors then to pull back and pour their money on the market.

I think the first thing that we've learn is that the market is really unpredictable, and what I mean is that there could be predictions, this and that, but we all know that they are just making a wild and educated guess like you and me.
3008  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you explain the October pump? on: December 31, 2021, 08:08:22 AM
we are all wanted increase , all our prayers are answered when 2021 arrived but not all  months brings us increasing part.

but what we are asking at least this December make another difference from the previous months.
That's an undeniable fact but we shouldn't expect that too much, well, on my own perspective I just HODL and if there's a budget I DCA may it be an up or down, no-brainer thing. You can't decide what the market may make but this is a waiting game and it requires everyone's patience and that never gets old here in crypto even other assets people invest in.

I guess for now we really have to understand how the market moves, it was just the FOMO that pushes the price to $69,000 and after that it's all downward spiral.

Nevertheless, those predictions of 6 digit is just arbitrary numbers to me, it could be a hit or miss. And chances are, it will be a miss just like we have seen at the end of 2021. No $100,000 for us, nevertheless this price could be hit but not this year.

Just because the top three may not be there or performing at their top doesnt mean
there wont be interesting matches. TBH I'll be looking forward to watching Sinner,
Zverev and Medvedev.

Thats some good analysis by Trofo, I think the title is looking good for Medvedev
or Zverev.

Yep, Medvedev and Zverev are now my best bet next year.

3010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 30, 2021, 03:52:54 AM

For sure Odds wont really be in huge gap for sure and lets see on how this one be tallied up.

I hope so, I like it that way so I can take Thurman with some good odds. I'm not underestimating the young boxer but I just believe that Thurman is more experience, smarter and even if he is not active but I'm pretty sure he does things to maintain his body to be ready anytime in a fight like this.

This would be an interesting fight for Thurman. But high likely that the odds will favor on him here. If he wins this, he may go after with the other champions and test once more his strength and power. This is like a warm up for him for the succeeding fights that he will have. With the last fight of him from Pacquiao, I believe, he already learned something from that loss. If he will continue to be a humble boxer, he will gain more followers.
But if he will finally decide to hang his gloves, being a boxing commentator is a very good job for him.

If you listen from his interviews after his fight he seems to learn his mistakes from the Pacquiao fight. And for sure it has put a dent on him because he step out of the game for so long. And maybe now he is over with it that's why he is making a comeback and seems to be rejuvenated already. Yes, he will be the odds favourite, no way that Barrios losing to Davis will make him the favourite. Thurman might go for a knock out too if presented.
Everyone do really learnt up from mistakes and i had remember on how trashtalker Thurman been beaten up by Pacquiao and ends up on that way on which he shouldnt really be having that kind of behavior.

You  wouldnt know that your opponent is much more better than you.Even this guy is been a while  havent some fights but getting back into shape wont really be that hard.
They could easily make their body go back as it used to be but this upcoming fight against Barrios wont be an easy one.

I think the keyword for Thurman on that Manny fight is too much confidence on his side.

But later he found it out the hard way, indeed Manny has the power on that left hand and the angles that he throws will make you off balance and go down. So that's a hard lesson for Thurman and maybe in those two years that he is not fighting, he has been thinking about it and not make the same mistakes about Barrios and train as hard as he can and bring his body to shape again.
3011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez Feb 19, 2022 on: December 30, 2021, 03:27:51 AM
Filipino boxers are starting to be popular like Mexican fighters, so this is good for us and thanks to Pacman who started it all and supporting the young boxers.
We are heading to that journey but Filipinos are normally smaller than Mexicans so we will just probably reight in a lighter division, only Pacman is an exemption because he is the only 8th division champion who beats the biggest Mexicans in boxing. I think it's already enough to see some Filipino champions reigning in different lighter divisions.

I think boxing has been in-grain in Filipino blood, we have been campaigning since the beginning of boxing, Filipino's like Pancho Villa and others and then we have Pacquiao. The difference is that Mexico has a good amateur boxing as compare to Filipinos that's why they produce a lot of champions.

In any case, still this is a big test for Ancajas as others have pointed out and he shouldn't overlook Martinez because he is undefeated with good KO percentage.

3013  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc ath february 2022 on: December 27, 2021, 02:37:54 AM
No one can control the bear market, I think, and as far as I know, the bear market is only influenced by external factors that come from various media, thus triggering a new polemic within the bear market itself. so we must be able to follow such information in order to follow the flow of the bitcoin market.
I didn't see that has happened that there's a bear market, isn't it?

I saw there's still a good market and yet we are still in a bull market compared to last year or the other year, it seems we're on a healthy market which is only had a short correction of the market price.  It's very common that the market was experienced a short correction right after a massive pump and as we can see, it was recovering right and reached again into $50k yesterday.

As I can see here, Bitcoin will not fall down furthermore, we have a lot of investors I have heard from individual to institutional investors and even there are few countries who started accepting Bitcoin and make it a legal tender.

We are still in the middle ground though, but fully in the bear market but the bulls are undecided at this point. So it might be 50:50 and we might see a break out run next year.

And hopefully we can maintain this levels, above $50,000 to be able to be above waters enter 2022. Because if we did go down to the low $40ish again, then it might signal that the bears have taken over the market and it might be the case next year.
3014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Ioka Dec 31 on: December 27, 2021, 02:09:28 AM

Yes, exactly, so the delays have a 50/50 effect on the boxers, just look at the Lopez vs Kambosos fight, the fight was delayed and then Kambosos was more resilent that's why he upsets Lopez by a big win.

Not saying the case will be the same here, but the delays will have a big psychological impact on this boxers because they have trained enough to peak for the schedule and then suddenly everything will change just like that.

The delays or the rescheduling of the fight gives a considerable amount of time to fighters to condition their body and mind on their upcoming fight but also at the same it reduces the momentum or the eagerness of the fighter to win the fight. As I have remembered most of the time once the fight is rescheduled or delayed it ended up canceled but I do hope this case will be just like the fight of GGG and Murata since this fight was also scheduled to be held in Japan but was rescheduled too because of covid.

I think still favors Jerwin here, I mean he doesn't need to get his body used to the cold December weather in Japan as this was raised earlier in the discussions.

If the fight is still going to be held in Japan but push back, then winter is over and Ancajas who is used to warm weather might not need to go to rigorous adjustments as the winter might be over when the fight is rescheduled for next year.

It's not a major factor for sure, his team knows the weather in Japan and they will be ready for that so Jerwin will not get affected by the weather, they will prepare him to be 100% during the fight as it's a very important fight for the Filipino Champion. Since it was postponed due to covid-19 restrictions, then he will get more time to train and get used his body with the weather condition.

Yeah, but since it will be reschedule I guess it won't be a factor now but if this fight happens in December wherein it is very cold, for me somehow Jerwin will have to double up because of the weather.

So let's just wait for any update on this fight, for sure Filipino fans are again very excited because one of their very own are in the headlines again and has a big chance to win against his opponent. And winning here means more fights in the future.
3015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 27, 2021, 01:49:22 AM
At the same time, he will make the Filipinos proud of his achievement and will be another Filipino world champion. There's a lot of stake in this fight, Magsayo's dream will be achieved if he wins this fight and I'm believing he can make it despite being an underdog. He just has to focus on this fight and win it, afterwards, the money will come and he'll enjoy being a champion.

Another title, another chance for a bigger ticket. Magsayo, if ever will win against Russel, will be in multiple title defense next and if successfully wins all of that, probably he can step up on another division and show his wildness there. A clean record in Featherweight is showing Magsayo's dominance in this division.

Here are the possible next opponents for Magsayo if he wins the WBC title from Russell:

Emanuel Navarrete
Mauricio Lara
Josh Warrington

These are the current Top 3 featherweight and Magsayo was just behind them.

Those names are really big in the featherweight division and if I'm not mistaken, Josh Warrington holds 2 belts already. And it's also possible that another Filipino will go up in weight, John Riel Casimero and go full featherweight as well.

Anyhow, Magsayo should look first on how to beat Russell because he will be the underdog in this fight. He has to deal with Russell's speed first and how to negate it with his power and counter punching.
3016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 26, 2021, 06:24:24 AM
From what we can read since this is just an exhibition fight, they can put any clause in a contract, besides Mike is old, he might not be able to absorb power punches from a young boxer.

That was already expected. It seems impossible to think that there's no plan agreement on the fight. Mike Tyson will not throw away his big reputation therefore, I believe the agreement will benefit him. As others said, the exhibition match between him and Logan Paul might end up in a no-winner decision to save both boxers' asses on their future match.

The fight will still gather good profit because it's Mike Tyson who will fight. Millenials didn't see Mike Tyson fighting before and the exhibition match is a good chance to see him fighting again.

Then that would still be an agreement, honestly, I find it boring when no winner is announce, I get that they want to protect the future of a certain boxer but that would not make this kind of fight entertaining as we already know what to expect if both popular fighters go against each other.

And that is what they call this boxing match, exhibitions, because they can totally rigged the results. But at the end of the day, still up to the fans whether they are going to support this kind of fights or not because it's not that exciting to watch to be honest. Mike Tyson's previous fight with Roy Jones was obviously rigged as well so I'm expecting the same here.
3017  Economy / Speculation / Re: TA shows potential bullish breakout - if history repeats on: December 26, 2021, 05:54:07 AM
Any part of history can repeat - but it's what part of history repeats that matters.

I personally think that a breakout is going to be almost impossible given the current circumstances.

The halving cycle is coming to an end as of currently while the Christmas rally has shown that $50k resistance is still quite strong. It'll take a lot to reverse this bearishness.

I'm not seeing any bullish break out, maybe few occasions this holiday but that's it for 2021. We should all look forward next year and see how it goes.

The thing is that if we look at the pattern, in 2017 we have a massive bullrun reaching new all time high. And the same happens this year, actually 2x we have a new all time high. And in 2018, it went downward spiral for us and it was the start of a bear run. So not saying that it could repeat in 2022, but if we are going to look at past history and says "history repeats" itself, then just be prepared for the worst.
3018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 26, 2021, 04:57:40 AM

Why would you lose? Its better for everyone that Novak Djokovic plays in this tournament. Who cares if he is vaccinated or not,it will make tennis much better on the tournament and much more intresting honestly. I dont really care if he is vacinated or not i want to see him play for few more years on as much as possible tournament before he retires.

I don't agree; nobody is above the law so everybody needs to follow the rules. I think a tournament without Djokovic can even be more interesting as the field will be more open. If Djokovic doesn't want to take the shot, I am not sure if he will get a medical exemption as it needs to be granted by an independent panel of experts...

I seconded this opinion, @Joca97 - you mean it is ok to play regardless if people around you comply with the law of getting fully vaccinated? So Djokovic can go around that rule, not only with the Tennis Federation but it was mandated by the Victorian government to get a jab before you can enter the any tournament for that matter in Australia.
3019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is my Bank on: December 26, 2021, 04:17:36 AM
bitcoin is a long-term investment that is very relevant, for us to save money and is very safe and controlled. we don't need to doubt about very good security, for example we save an emergency fund if we can't save in the bank
I'm quite amazed that you think bitcoin is safe and controlled, this is really a story that is completely opposite to my feelings, its value has never made me feel at peace every day and i admit i cant manage it, sometimes he will be a good boy but sometimes, he will be a stubborn boy. Bitcoin has privacy and safety standards but it doesn't add to the monthly interest and it is asking us to operate more independently without support from it, this bank is probably a spontaneous product and may pose a high risk to the user

Well if you are not at peace with the price then why you invest? And being a Bitcoin investors, it takes a lot of mental toughness and again, if you don't have that kind of attitude, it will be very difficult for you here. And I think majority here has learn it the hard way, and just like what the OP describe, he keeps everything on Bitcoin and today has make a lot of money for him.
3020  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise or fall. on: December 26, 2021, 03:43:01 AM
bitcoin is holding between $50k - $51k and has been spinning at the same rate for the past two days. We can see bitcoin's growth again after falling sharply yesterday and now it looks normal at the initial support price even though it has not been able to penetrate the previous high at least there is a bit of initial resistance in the bitcoin market price.

I don't think we can consider this normal, well this could be a 'normal Christmas pump'. But after this I'm seeing the price going down again to $48,000 for some time and it might trade sideways until we will see a good "New Year pump".

So the real price movement will be the start of next year, it will spell whether we are in the bullish or bearish trend so better watch early so that we can make our investment and trading adjustments.
