3001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOW MANY BITCOIN DID SATOSHI NAKAMOTO GATHERED ? on: January 09, 2022, 01:11:49 PM
Since Satoshi from the very beginning mined bitcoin, what's the total number of his bitcoin gathered ?
Do you think he's got the highest Bitcoin ? Can Bitcoin farm be generated in Africa ? If yes why? If no why ?!

As others have said, no one really knows how many Bitcoin Satoshi's owned.

Bitcoin can be generated anywhere, but the problem is that bitcoin mining takes a lot of electricity and infrastructure that I doubt that Africa is abundant specially electricity, so technically the answer is yes, but theoretically, it doesn't make any sense.
3002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When bear market? on: January 08, 2022, 05:04:44 AM
We are all waiting for the bear market, I think very soon. But while everything below there is an opportunity to buy. So many cool projects have appeared. My last choice is Centaurify, the first NFT eco-system built around musicians, fans concerts and digital merchandise
The Bear Market has arrived and there is no need to wait any longer for this, have you not seen the market all this time ? because some people are already expecting an increase in the market so they can't wait for the bear market conditions like now

Yes, it's already here. Now the question, is everyone really up to the challenge and face a long 2-3 years of bearish market? I know it's going to be tough for the majority here because I have seen it already.

I still remember back in the days of 2017, wherein there are a lot of newbies who quit their job and totally focus on crypto trading, but then again the bear market comes along and I really don't know if they were able to cope with the stress of seeing the market getting a nosedive and if they have money to bring food in the table.
3003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 08, 2022, 04:10:59 AM
I really do think he has the most punching power than Barrios even thought Mario Barrios has the height and reach advantage.

The boxer with the power will win the match and Thurman between the two has it, Barrios is a guy moving up and he is against a guy who has tasted punches coming from big punchers and he held, on compared to Barrios who fought a hard puncher in Gervonta and cannot keep up, I expect Thurman to knock Barrios because of his superiority in speed and power.

And also remember that Thurman is the natural welterweight here and Barrios is just going up in weight. So he hasn't been tested in this division and maybe he will not like it when he felt Thurman's power in this division.

Thurman though doesn't have the speed, I think I will get that to Barrios, but the power will be definitely on Keith here and possible that he can win by knock out.
3004  Economy / Speculation / Re: are we going to have "fear" months? on: January 08, 2022, 03:49:39 AM
Well it looks like we are going to be like that, however, for those who have been in the market and seen the ups and downs in 2017 and the eventually crypto winter after that, no need to panic and hopefully they learn their lessons to that long and bearish trend.

So personally, if the bears come early then we can't really stop it, but what we can do is to continue to accumulate as much as we can and have the mental toughness to HODL and then wait for another bull run.
3005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 08, 2022, 03:17:47 AM
I hate to say this, but I'm eager to see a Casimero vs Inoue fight and skip this fight instead lol.

As much as we want to witness it, not possible as many things happened by now. Right now, Casimero needs to finish all challenges on the way for a chance to have a bout against Inoue soon. He should also not release any ETA in advance to the public and let the organizers handle it. His camp should just be silent too whenever there's an ongoing negotiation on their target and just announce everything when all are officially settled. Basically, no spoiler alert lol.

We will soon this fight, that is if Casimero will beat Butler simply as that. So it's better for him to really concentrate on Butler first and not be affected by Inoue at the back of his mind as it might cause some distractions on him.

And once he win here, then he can go and tell the public that he wanted to fight Inoue. And it will be on Bob Arum's court to respond to him/them. So now yeah, no spoiler alert, finish his business first with Butler.
3006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: January 07, 2022, 05:57:08 PM

As far as previous updates are concerned about when is the reschedule date, no changes to the first date and it's still likely to be March or April.

However, the venue might be changed and that's what organizers are dealing with right now.

Regardless, I like the fight to be held on the original venue, Saitama Super Arena in Japan so that Murata will somehow have an advantage as fans watching live to support someone will boost a boxer's morale despite being an underdog on that match.
I also still like it to proceed on the same venue in Japan, at least we will see how GGG will respond to the crowd because for sure they are going to cheer for Murata here.

However, we've seen that GGG is not affected by it, I remember him fighting Kell Brook in O2 arena and it's pro-Brook crowd obviously. But it doesn't bother GGG a bit as he stop Brook and broke his orbital bone that fight.

I don't think GGG will be affected psychologically by the crowd, he has been a professional for many years and for sure has been in a hostile environment before, just like in the Canelo fight. I think in the US, it is still Canelo and we all know how the fight turns out to be specially in the first one wherein majority saw him winning but the judges think otherwise.

So I think this fight will still favored GGG even if the fight is going to be held in Japan and if they are going to help and cheer their very own against him.
3007  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to Hit $150,000 in 2022 on: January 07, 2022, 12:55:47 PM
most likely 2022 is the year of correction, and when that will happen, that means bitcoin might dump $30k to $20k

Writing not to say other things and then thinking that this is the most likely outcome without any reasoning's just... well. Not that I don't agree it's a possibility but it's hard to see "correction" and "dump" in the same sentence, and even suggesting $20k without reflecting on the consequence of impact.

Bitcoin has never, ever, reverted to an ATH from a previous cycle (I think I actually asked a few months ago and it was confirmed), so there would be deep panic levels if that were to happen. If dumping were to ensue, that would hardly be a correction.

Yeah, and I also won't call this a correction, maybe we are indeed in a bear market?

So from a new all time high to probably $20,000-$30,000 sell off, that is huge already, however, this is just a start and maybe it will be a slow grind for this year and it's going to be ugly and painful for the majority to see the price goes down that low. So just hold on anything right now, gonna be a bumpy road.
3008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 07, 2022, 12:28:51 PM
This match has been cancelled so I guess, locking this thread is necessary since many are already talking about Inoue and Casimero match, though I also want them to see fighting but I don’t see that this is the right thread for that.

There are lots of updates already posted here that the fight will push if you browse a few pages back. It's not canceled and Casimero retains the WBO Title after submitting the medical proofs stating that what happened to Casimero is valid. Inoue became a part of the discussion because they are linked with each other and it can't be avoided to not mention the monster's name here.

While the fight will now push through, there's still no official announcement of when the will be rescheduled date and that's what everyone is waiting for.

Yeah, maybe the promotions are looking for a good venue because this mandatory fights is supposed to happen on Butler's backyard. But due to Omicron and the cancellation, maybe the original venue is no longer available and they have to reserved it in advance if they want the fight to be still held on that place.

Nevertheless, this fight is really a go again and they should be training by now. We should just wait for the official announcement, and hopefully this month there will be some direction already.
3009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 07, 2022, 12:02:15 PM
It's the other way around, Russell should not underestimate Magsayo's capabilities because there is a good possibilities that he can pull an upset. And if he become the typical boxer who is truly believes in him as a champion to defeat anyone, then he could be wrong as Magsayo is a very dangerous opponent for him and shouldn't be taken lightly. And hopefully this fight will live up to it's expectation of one of the best fights in the lower division this year.

Never seen Magsayo getting dominated in a fight, he maybe not the champion now but he is a real deal with a great future. If he wins this fight, that will start the best days of his career and his promoter was never wrong in trusting him to become the champion. All these are just my speculation and expectation but it will only be possible if Magsayo will work hard for this fight and consider it as the biggest fight of his life.

His last fight with Ceja, in the scorecards he was behind so i think that was one instance that he was dominated in a fight but when Ceja was hit by that lethal blow, the outcome have changed.

I just do hope that Magsayo will be aggressive upon the opening bell to score some points in case he can't score a knockout, he still got a chance to get the judges nod.

With coach Freddie Roach in his corner, i think he is in good hands and come fight night, the Philippines will have a new champion in the Featherweight division.

Maybe it was ring rust that affected Magsayo?

And as you have said, he was really behind in the scorecard and luckily that power bail him out in one of the greatest comeback of his career.

But in this fight, he can't really be complacent, he needs to be aggressive and show Russell the power early so that the American will somewhat will have doubts in attacking and used his speed in the fight because he knows that if Magsayo lands that power on his chin, it might be over.

Nope, not ring rust because Magsayo have fought twice (if i'm correct) before he faced Ceja and all this time, he is in the US training in the Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach, he never went home to the Philippines to take a vacation so i think he is in tip-top shape on that fight.

Magsayo is a slow-starter, measuring his opponents in the first quarter of a fight and might give some rounds to the opponent but this time he can't afford to do that because Russell is smart and Magsayo might not came back from behind.

Ok now I remember, yeah, I think he didn't go home that's why he is mostly on the gym and honing his skills. Maybe he is a slow starter, but he can't against Russell because of the hand speed and he might be caught early.

And if allows Russell to be comfortable early and score points then it will be a difficult fight for him. And this time, he will not be lucky to win by a come from behind knockout.
3010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big Wins of 2021 ($550,000+) on: January 07, 2022, 11:41:34 AM
About a month ago I made a post about how I won $550,000 in one month with sports betting. I thought I'd share some betslips from 2021 which will hopefully inspire some of you. I do a lot of parlays and would love to see some of your big wins as well!

What a fortune, I thought it was complicated to earn money in games of chance, especially sports, apparently I'm wrong.
My "problem" is that I make a lot of bets based on emotion and on the teams I most admire, and I often leave aside the technical analysis and probabilities that an "opponent" team would have to win the one I like the most.
If not for that, I think I might even have some good profit.

Well sometimes is we do some technical analysis we are still going to lose no matter what.

Maybe the OP is really very lucky and also have a lot of big capital that he is willing to lose. So as whales, it doesn't matter what they are going to bet, as long as the odds are good enough. In this case the OP is really looking for huge odds and then big capital that's why at the end he was able to win big.

And it is not for everyone here, but it's good to see that someone is really winning big from this community.

3012  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin first week price speculation on: January 06, 2022, 04:29:10 AM
I won't be surprised if the btc price dump more. I'm not excited about its speed. But one thing everyone has to accept is that it will never go the same way. Of course there can be some exceptions. However, my personal opinion is that it will not move much now. It could be Bull run in March.
what goes up, comes down and vice versa.
Bitcoin broke $45K support, it's causing an unevenness in the graph. we're heading either 42K or recover some liquidity at more significant levels in next couple of hours. Correction nothing wrong with it, more persistence implies more gain.
Maybe we will head over to the $40k-$42k range level if bitcoin can not hold the price not go down for more.
In this situation, we need to be ready for anything and prepare some money to buy back Bitcoin at a low price.
In the first week of this year, we see that bitcoin is still made a correction. Even the price is going down from the first day of the New Year.
But we do not have to feel bad because we already have this experience before knowing what we need to do.
Calm down, do not panic, and you will see something you can use for yourself.

It seems to be that way though, worst case is below $40,000 within the week, ouch.

But in any case, as you have said, for those who have been seen the worst, there's no need to panic. On the contrary, if you have extra funds, take this as an opportunity to accumulate more BTC in your wallet and look for the long term.

Of course we don't want to see a long bearish market that will last for years, however, it's inevitable, but what we can do is buy a lot of Bitcoin because it is going to be very cheap.
3013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 06, 2022, 04:04:57 AM
I applaud the Australian Government for their decision to deport Djokovic on Covid related issues (now the world knows him to be unvaccinated, it might discourage others from coming into close contact with that person).

And that's what we are talking and discussing about the Djokovic saga here, he shouldn't play if he is not vaccinated, period. not exceptions whatsoever. But maybe the Australian government really realized that they made a mistake of providing one for him. And there could be pressures within the government itself to revoke his exceptions that's they have to find a way, and that is to deport him.

Yes, for one I really believed that he hasn't taken a jab because of his belief (as against the majority who thinks a vaccine really does help).
3014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 06, 2022, 03:33:34 AM
he could have recovered already from that pain and could be looking to put his name again in the welterweight division.

The moment he decided to fight again, he already sealed that loss in history and now moving on.

It's not just about the loss against Manny Pacquiao why he became inactive for 29 months. Some reasons are; his injury, the pandemic, and the lack of a possible fight date at the end of 2021. He knows how to accept the defeat and won't cry like a baby for long before accepting his loss.

Keith Thurman is ready to become a major player in the welterweight division

This is what I admire about Thurman, just before that Pacquiao's fight, he was vowing that he will retire Pacquiao.
But it was the opposite that happened inside the ring. And after that, he accepted his loss and made good friends with Pac.

https://www.ringtv.com/564493-keith-thurman-vows-to-retire-manny-pacquiao-but-pacquiao-says-hes-far-from-done/

Now, it seems, he is ready for his comeback after long hiatus. Definitely, he will comeback in full strength here.
To prove that he has still the power in this division, he maybe planning to defeat one boxer after another and he will start with Barrios.
Hoping that he will have good training because of the covid restrictions. Well, everywhere now is starting to see the impact of this omicron variant.

He was a good sport and we should understand that he trash-talking before the fight was just part of the business. Thurman accepted his loss and respected the Pacman after the fight, with that he also gain the respect of the fans, especially the Filipino fans all over the world.

I'm not sure if they are good friends but I heard in the news that Pacman name his dog Thurman, that's crazy.   Grin

This guy is admirable, at first we hate him because he was trash-talking out one and only living legend but later he vow to give credit to the champion. He is humble in real life but is good in selling his fight, and that was great fight between him and Manny so we deserve to see another fight from Thurman and this time arond I l know he will win.

I think Thurman really went over board with his trash talking to Pacquiao, or maybe that is not his personality after all, as he trash talk a legend and a non-American boxer that really put his image in the bad light. And then he losses that fight, LOL, that was the irony, he can't back up his talk, but Manny is just not responding to his trash talk but then knock him down in the first round. Maybe he will still trash talk, but not that like forced trash talking just to sell the fight.
3015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 06, 2022, 03:12:44 AM

I think this fight came from the mouth of Bob Arum when he says that it's better for Crawford to go down to 140 lbs again and fight Josh Taylor, well that's sounds to be good to be true specially that Bob doesn't promote Crawford anymore. Of course who wouldn't want to see this fight but I doubt that Crawford is going to do it because Josh is not a name fighter in the US. Big fight for Crawford is still Spence at 147 lbs.

It's more of a suggestion because Arum has no control now over who Crawford wants to face, it's not a bigger fight compared to the Spence fight, Taylor will be an underdog here, on the Spence fight, both fighters are very much even and they can finally resolve who really is the welterweight king I hope to see them negotiating and make this fight happen this 2022, both fighters are claiming they are the king and the other is ducking.

Yeah, and since that he no longer has managerial control of Crawford now, maybe he is voicing on what "he could have done" if he still has Spence in his stable.

Maybe after he faces Spence and win the fight just maybe he can entertain that kind of fight.

But even if he wins against Spence there are still a lot of good challenges in teh 147 lbs and that going back to 140 lbs might be a bad idea for him in the end.
3016  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the bitcoin market has been dumping so much for months on: January 03, 2022, 05:01:57 AM
And maybe beginner investors are afraid that the market may turn out red next year and as early as today, they are selling off to make profits still or just have some cash this holiday and be ready to buy when the market crashes and goes into bearish next year.

Everyone has his/her own reasons to dump in the last couple of months. But if you are a diamond hand, then for sure you will not be affected and won't simply sell your BTC at this price.
I think this is what it is happening, investors of all kind of levels of experience are afraid that we are going to see another massive crash and as such they do not want to invest in the market of cryptocurrencies at the moment, they are waiting to see if the crash will actually happen and once they see this is not going to be the case they are going to take action and will begin to invest in the market once again, and with the increase of the demand the price will go up once again.

So still, the game is really for everyone here, from retail investors like the majority of us to big whales who is changing the game. Unfortunately, average joe can only follow what this manipulators is setting up, it could be bear trap for us, or maybe we are really seeing a start of a bearish cycle this year that's why everyone is just jumping on the gun and selling to at least make a decent profit before the price really goes down hard in 2022.
3017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 03, 2022, 04:29:50 AM
^^ True, that's the nature of women's tennis in the last 5 years or at least 10 if my memory serves me right. Champions are very inconsistent, up to the level that there are a lot of upsets. And then this new names comes along, but they are not able to sustain it. And then obviously, injuries sets in, and when they come back, it's a total different player and probably this is what Pam is seeing at Emma right now, the inconsistencies and such.
3018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 03, 2022, 04:04:59 AM
Is the Josh Taylor vs Terrence Crawford confirmed already or just another speculation? Because that will be huge fight next year. Crawford was once the king of 140 lbs until he move up to the welterweight division because that's where the money is. And now seeing that he is going down (I believed that he can still make the 140 lbs with ease), then it will be his second tenure at 140 lbs if ever he beats the current undisputed Josh Taylor.
I think it's just speculation, for now, there's no official announcement yet that these two will fight, otherwise there's already a thread we will see on this particular fight. That would be a great fight, it's the fight between two undefeated fighters but I'd still bet on Crawford no matter what.

I think this fight came from the mouth of Bob Arum when he says that it's better for Crawford to go down to 140 lbs again and fight Josh Taylor, well that's sounds to be good to be true specially that Bob doesn't promote Crawford anymore. 3019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MUSK coins ,Scam or not? on: January 03, 2022, 03:31:24 AM
Well I haven't check everything about it, but this is what I can say:

[1] Anything that have Musk name in a coin should be considered as a hype, thus a meme coin
[2] We all know that meme coins are pump and dump scheme
[3] You should do your own investigation first before you buy it
[4] If you can't sold it then something is wrong with that project

So in my conclusion, I think it is obvious a scam project, sorry to burst the bubble for you.
3020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Annual January 3rd Proof of Keys Celebration of the Genesis Block on: January 03, 2022, 03:09:13 AM
I think this is the first year of it's celebration:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5092198.0

And as far as I can remember, it was conceptualized by Trace Mayer (https://twitter.com/tracemayer?lang=en). And his concept was for us to reclaim our "monetary autonomy".

Anyhow, I don't have BTC in any exchange though, it was not a good practice for me. And we know that it is really not advisable because of the risk involved.
