Bitcoin cash (BCH) is now available for trading in dozens of new physical locations across the US. The American ATM network Athena Bitcoin has added support for buying and selling the cryptocurrency for fiat cash on all its machines.

How about emc2 masternode plans?
Any update on this?

We are focused on algo change now, and we manage to replace Scrypt algo with ETHash algo on EMC2 and to mine first test block today!
A lot to be done still, but we are making a progress I am happy with. You can consider it as a good news if you want.

Lighting Network vs Master Nodes, let's start discussion on that. What do you think?

I am more for Lighting Network if it becomes certain. One way or another, EMC2 will have super fast transactions.

Why is every pump in this coin ends up with the same dump after? is this coin pursuing to get somewhere, or is it just to hype people in, and then drop their bags? are we going to continue with pointless pump and dumps, or are we gonna start go up cause it's about time definitely, and u can see that well in the 1day candles. i know bitcoin killed the pump earlier, but now after bitcoin got stable again, the dumping in the last 20 minutes is weird, and kind of smelly. i'm just saying if it keeps on being pump and dumps time after time, you'll find yourself pretty soon in the 1000 sats area, and everyone ended up with losses would hold on to your coin like glue which would make it way hard to pump in the future, but hey  - it's your project.
Who do you addressing to with your statement? The EMC2 community or dev team? What makes you think any p/d has anything to do with Einsteinium team? Are they capable to do such thing? Maybe, if they would use funds from the foundation wallet. But as far as I can see, funds in that wallet are still intact. Have you even remotely thought about the possibility that probably some miner('s) or even (more likely) some p&d group is responsible? Do I like it? No, I don't. Should I blame developers for anything regarding price movements?...

Saying such claims is either ignorance or deliberate false accusations. Ask yourself which one is your category.

It is so ridiculous to see the EMC2 team being blamed for pump & dump groups playing around with EMC2, just as they play around with every possible coin out there. Just look at the daily chart of Ripple right now, or NEM, to name two very big ones. This is just how it is in cryptos, we like it or not.

Not everyone is able to be rational when analyzing the activities on the market. Too many people can't detach themself from emotions.

LitecoinCash and EMC2 ...hmm a connection? :-D haha

3009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 18, 2018, 01:20:06 AM
Guys, there are quite a lot smart contract platforms on the market at the moment and new ones are coming. Do you think Ethereum will retain leadership among such a platforms forever? For me, it might be more profitable to invest in lower market cap platforms (Lisk, Qtum EOS, ..) ?

You're making the assumption those lower market cap platforms will see the same kind of attention Ethereum has, and increase in adoption/usage/value at a greater rate than Ethereum (otherwise, it would be by definition, less profitable)....it's a bold assumption Smiley

And do those platforms have a leader with an IQ of 257 like Vitalik Buterin when Albert Einstein and Bill Gates both had an identical IQs of 160? The saying goes whatever the other platforms can do we can do better, why bet on less intelligence?

Stephen Hawking (IQ score of 160).
Marilyn Vos Savant (IQ score of 228) ...
Christopher Hirata (IQ score of 225) ...
Kim Ung-Yong (IQ score of 210) ...
Edith Stern (IQ score of more than 200) ...
Christopher Michael Langan (IQ score between 190 and 210) ...
Garry Kasparov (IQ score of 194) ...
Philip Emeagwali (IQ score of 190)
Vitalik Buterin (IQ score of 257)

Do you see my point?
Get real, 257 my eye. He would be listed in guiness if he was even close to that. I bet I can beat him at chess

The real issue here is that IQ isn't a very good metric for intellectual capacity. It's just a widely known one :/

$ETC : Welcome to the Beginning >_> the ETC/ETH flippening!!  Cool  weeee

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=ETC_BTC

ETC is literally going nowhere Ethereum hasn't already been. Why do you always seem to shill the worst coins gembitz? I feel bad for your portfolio Cheesy

Even though I agree that Vitalik Buterin is pretty damn smart I am wondering where that number of 257 comes from? I am sure he didn't bring it up himself so who was it or who performed the actual test?

satoshi (IQ score 420)  Cool

3013  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2018, 06:24:44 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

It looks like we're winning the battle for 5 digits, albeit barely... currently $10862USD/$13641CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Hopefully we'll see some real upward movement soon.

What we today call a job is, effectively, slavery. Yes people can choose what kind of work they do, but they can't decide if they want to do it - they have to work.

Jordan Peterson said it perfectly. If you can't say no, you can't negotiate. And if you can't negotiate you are a slave. Jobs are slavery, even if we are determined not to think of them as such.

And it's not like I do nothing but sit around, now that I have the option to do so. I have been studying anthropology for the past... almost 7 years now, and see myself doing it for perhaps the rest of my life. It is endlessly fascinating and there is always more to learn, and it has practical utility. But it is not a job. It is something I choose to do, and for which I receive no direct compensation. And that makes all the difference. I could not do it to the same degree if I was saddled with a Job.

But what if you did receive direct compensation? Would that make it a "job" and thus a form of enslavement?

Mark twain once said that work was what a fellow was obliged to do. I agree. If you are doing it strictly for the money, it's work. If you are doing it for fun it's a hobby, paid or not.

A professional ballplayer may be paid millions of dollars a year but during a game he's playing, not working. Sure there may be lots of work involved.... dealing with agents, travel, workouts, etc., but ultimately it's a paid hobby. Maybe it's not having the option of a day off that makes it a job.

When I was getting paid good money for playing music in bars and living a life of partying, sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll, I never considered it as work. It was fun and I was being paid for it. Sure we had to deal with agents, loading equipment, traveling, and (gasp) rehearsing, but it was still just a paid hobby, not a "job".

What will happen to BCH when BTCP is released? Apparently, two forks from Bitcoin, but will BTCP have the strength to attract BCH investors? It will be an interesting duel! If new forks continue to exist and BCH does not show significant improvement or does not attract significant people, it will hardly have long life. Smiley
