3001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any information on "Magikarp"? on: March 22, 2021, 02:35:45 PM
Is this the one you are talking about, OP?

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/magikarp-finance

All I can see is a Pancake Swap for the coin. I don't see anything about it in my news feed though.
3002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Investing on: March 22, 2021, 09:53:09 AM
It's what I read recently. 1% could be any cryptocurrency. It's either you are saved from the magic printing effect of FIAT, and your one percent could make you more money, or you end up losing that 1% and still have that Fiat investment in your portfolio. I doubt it will happen sooner or later, but the inflation problem is real. It's best to diversify your portfolio everywhere, with the proper allocation.

I like the idea of having a 300% increase and just taking it out and making sure to lock in that profit. It's a great approach. I think the best thing to see on this is that it's still a win, whether it's small or not. The important thing about it is still not losing money.

Selling out completely would be understandable if you know when to take it out. Unfortunately, no one can predict that 100%.
3003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking is not for Muslims on: March 22, 2021, 06:26:50 AM
~snip
When I read the OP's post, I laughed for a while until I saw your post that interest is banned on them.
I don't know much about Muslims and how they do their finances thing but I just did a couple of searches as well just to understand what the OP is talking about. Most of the members rushed to the conclusion already and didn't ask the OP what he really meant or something.

Quote
Ijara or leasing: Instead of issuing a loan for a customer to buy a product like car, the bank buys the product and then leases it to the customer. The customer acquires the item at the end of the lease contract.
So technically, they don't own the car. Just temporarily. I think it's quite common to physical assets that are expensive but not so much for HODL-ing coins, don't you think?
3004  Economy / Economics / Re: OpenAI: Artificial Intelligence will generate wealth to pay each adult $13,500yr on: March 22, 2021, 04:47:31 AM
We can never escape the fact about jobs with this same circle that continuously rolls on with the exact cause and purpose. It's better to have an AI do that tedious task instead of relying on a person who gets bored and probably has been bored by doing the same damn thing every day. With AI, I believe it's more efficient that way, and owners will probably agree on the same thing.

Once we have actualized this, a better generation will focus on the right things, hopefully. Having dividends of that would be great for sure.
3005  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: very high fees on exodus when trying to send bitcoin on: March 22, 2021, 02:09:45 AM
Checking the latest unconfirmed transactions, it seems that the majority is still the low transaction fees.

https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,24h,weight

In the link below, it's indicated there that there's a possibility to have custom fees set. So you could put in a lower fee, but you have to sacrifice time and have to wait just to get your transactions confirmed.

This is the wallet, correct OP?

3008  Economy / Reputation / Re: Clarification (Yoshie). on: March 21, 2021, 05:02:43 PM
At least now there's a clarification on what happened to you. I think most of the posters in that thread are wishing you well, and now that you have clarified it, I'm pretty sure that a lot of members are relieved as well.

I'm pretty curious why people assumed that it's an issue (about the loan). I would believe it if shasan is the one who would post that (if there's an issue) but bringing it up while the user is inactive is not that ideal though.

Anyway, welcome back!
3009  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find when & how much bitcoin one has purchased. on: March 21, 2021, 03:07:22 PM
I was using coinbase, not coinbase pro.  I purchased both with credit cards (don't remember which ones) and also local currency.  I realize that I can go back through all my credit card statements for the last several years, and bank statements, but I was hoping there would be an easier way.
The tiring thing about that is going to be checking the statements and correlating the price on that current purchase. That's going to be troublesome especially if you are busy

How about contacting the support? Maybe they can help you faster with it.

3010  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find when & how much bitcoin one has purchased. on: March 21, 2021, 02:59:33 PM
Have you checked this yet? I'm not sure if this applies only to trading but it can be somehow related to this.

https://help.coinbase.com/en/pro/managing-my-account/account-information/account-history-and-reports

Anyways, how did you purchase the BTC? Like local currency? Credit Card? Etc.
3011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Assassin's Creed Publisher Is Making The Next Generation Of NFT Games on: March 21, 2021, 02:14:29 PM
I recently purchased their latest release of Assassin's Creed. The Viking-related storyline, Assassin's Creed Valhalla. It's a pretty fun game, and they have kept updating most of the content with bug-related stuff and improving it. I hope they would allow some trading system or collectible with the game itself. With rare finds that possibly lead to a trading space to be acquired or something and profit.

It wouldn't be a long time when they release something valuable to different players and the opportunity to earn while playing is the best IMO.
3012  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happened to Yoshie? on: March 19, 2021, 06:40:20 AM
Anyone knows? Did he left or got removed from BC?
He was probably removed from BestChange due to inactivity. It started at Week 59 in which he only posted 3 posts for that week and no post for the succeeding week. The campaign manager may have messaged him about his lack of posting and probably warned that if he didn't make the minimum post for the following week, he can get removed from the campaign. I bet that is what happened.

Anyway, I hope YOSHIE is okay.
3013  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start the trading and how to lean the tardine. on: March 19, 2021, 01:10:53 AM
I don't know what the OP is talking about. What the heck is tardine? Tardine project? Tardine process? I hope you make sense of your post. If you are talking about the "trading" process, then it makes more sense. What I don't get is that you can spell trading correctly but still insist on tardine. I'm quite amazed that there's no other member even bothered what Tardine is, lol.
3014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT blockchain on: March 18, 2021, 02:07:09 PM
Just imagine a unique identifier for your art. Making a limited edition that can be deemed valuable to another person could rake up some serious cash in NFT. If you are respected and see that you have great art skills, it would be great to auction it off.

It's like how traditional collecting works but digital. You invest the value you think a certain art has.
3015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Becoming a Store of Value on: March 18, 2021, 09:45:09 AM
The fees make it impossible to be used as a transaction coin. It's just so expensive now, knowing that you wouldn't want to transact anymore. Knowing that Mark has a technological background, he will indeed have a say on it, and being a rich person means he will not invest in ETH if he doesn't understand it. So I believe in what he said in the video and he seems to be prepared with how we will answer the questions too. Very thorough.
3016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Power consumption propaganda? on: March 18, 2021, 05:11:45 AM
This won't be a problem if the energy used in powering the Bitcoin mining farm is from renewable energy resources. The best approach for this is to go the renewable energy route entirely so there wouldn't be any more energy demand problems. It should be known that almost most of the power came from renewable energy as well.

As of this report, it is said that over 74% were using renewable energy back in 2019. I can't find any update for last year's consumption, but you can see that the majority is renewable.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/study-over-74-of-bitcoin-mining-is-powered-by-renewable-energy

I hope that there are more advances and developments for the energy sector to make renewable energy collection and storage efficient and cheaper for everyone.
3017  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: what can i do please help on: March 18, 2021, 03:17:14 AM
Is that your wallet? The transaction was in May 2017. Do you remember how you obtain the BTC there? Maybe we could find out and remember the steps you have taken and possibly utilize the balance it has. It's a great HODL for sure.  Smiley
3018  Other / Meta / Re: 🔴 Problem with an inappropriate attitude (racism) on Bitcointalk on: March 18, 2021, 01:17:41 AM
There's always going to be something like this everywhere, especially on the internet.  No one is saying that "that comment" is okay, but it's generally Cryptotourist's opinion on how that person looks. Knowing that Forums are for discussion, mostly, arguments would go against your view, and you might feel attacked on it. And again, there's no specific reason that it is a racist remark, but those who interpret it like that will think that it's a racist thing.

You can always report to the moderator if you feel like it needs to be deleted, but it would depend on the moderator whether or not he/she will delete it once reported.
3019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'The Simpsons' know who Satoshi Nakamoto is! on: March 18, 2021, 12:48:16 AM
It's fun to see and take what the Simpsons have done over the years. It's just unexplainable, but having accurate predictions multiple times has everyone thinking that he is a time traveler. I know that I shouldn't believe something like that, but is it always a coincidence? How lucky are they?

This is a link in which they have predicted something 18 times.

https://www.businessinsider.com/the-simpsons-is-good-at-predicting-the-future-2016-11

We will never know but the next correct one could be an asset's price like BTC on what it could become when Satoshi is known. It's always going to be a great topic to be conversed about.
3020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking is not for Muslims on: March 17, 2021, 10:56:28 PM
When I searched for this topic, I stumbled upon many articles and seen that interest is banned on their finance. So I'm not sure how banks operate in the major Muslim countries, but how do they make money?

Like the other members said, Staking and Lending are different features depending on the coin/token. Maybe specify a more specific scenario?
