3021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Cryptopia Exchange Safe and Legit? on: January 06, 2018, 06:15:35 AM
Do you guys send in verification documents before you use it?  How much can you withdraw per day without verification?
3022  Economy / Exchanges / Re: type of verification in hitbtc on: January 05, 2018, 04:53:50 AM
What is meant by fiat exactly?  Does it mean trading it for usdt tether like on bittrex or you  mean real usd where you could actually withdraw the money to your bank account.  Does hitbtc allow usd bank withdraws to us bank accounts?
3023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIFT 10x soon!! Here is why on: January 04, 2018, 04:01:38 AM
does anyone think shift price might go down?  wanted to get some of it when it was in the 1 dollar range but did not.  Now the price is so high where i think it would be hard for it to go up a lot.  But if it does go up, you can't 100x it like when it was 1 dollar.
3024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Pump & Dump Group on: January 04, 2018, 03:57:27 AM
Does anyone know how much profit was made in his last tweet if you are ready on your computer to buy the coin and then dump the coin?
3025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buying cheap altcoins on: January 04, 2018, 03:56:13 AM
Everyone talks about spectracoin.  Thoughts on it?
3026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that will make you RICH in 2018! on: January 04, 2018, 03:55:37 AM
Anyone think coins in the top 10 can still do it or not?
3027  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance on: January 04, 2018, 03:55:09 AM
Does anyone think it can go up to at least 50 percent?
3028  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin Taxes USA on: January 04, 2018, 03:54:28 AM
Isn't everyone going to basically record it incorrectly since you cannot do it accurately due to no set price on altcoins?  Which altcoin price are you suppose to use?  The one on bittrex?

The other thing is what about when you sell altcoin for btc.  How do you know the exact btc price then if you sell it?
3029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Create a Waves Platform Wallet.Lease your Tokens and get Rewarded.Trade on DEX. on: January 01, 2018, 04:05:37 PM
How much does it affect your rewards if you were to cancel a lease because you need to withdraw some waves and then you then you lease the waves again?  Also if you were to lease it for a few days and then cancel it, do you still get any rewards?

How much are wavesfullnode worth?
3030  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC vs Bittrex on: January 01, 2018, 12:08:00 AM
Withdraw limits with hitbtc without verification? What about with it?  Should you send in documents first before you use it?
3031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I hold BTC 0.05 for future ? on: January 01, 2018, 12:05:00 AM
Thoughts on selling that for altcoins?
3032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance non-verification question on: January 01, 2018, 12:02:33 AM
Is that 2 btc per day or total ever?  Im confused because i thought it was 2 btc daily?  That is enough for most ppl i believe.

Also what about if you are withdrawing other coins like eth or altcoins that are 1 dollar?  What are the limits with those altcoins then?  I assume around 2 btc equivalent?  Thus if you have a coin that is worth 1 dollar, you could withdraw over 20000 of it etc?
3033  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to buy X shares of coins on bittrex? on: December 31, 2017, 11:55:17 PM
Well say i want to buy 1000 shares of a coin that is 5 dollars.  On bittrex someone is selling at 5 dollars but only selling 50 shares.  The next seller is selling at 5.02 and selling 500 shares.  The next seller is selling at 5.03 and selling 800 shares.

So here let say im willing to buy it at 5.03.  If i put 1000 shares at 5.03... would bittrex and other exchanges automatically buy the 50 shares at 5 dollars and 500 shares at 5.02 first before buying the 450 shares at 5.03?
3034  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 2FA Wallet on: December 31, 2017, 11:28:41 PM
Hey all notice few threads about 2FA.  Can someone explain this very quickly?  When you set up electrum, they give you option for that?  I don't ever recall it.  Also do most people use 2FA on electrum or not?  Isn't just putting an encryption before you can check your balance good enough?

So if you put 2FA, which 2FA are you using?  Google authent, authy or something else?  So basically if you have 2FA on, that means a hacker cannot hack your wallet?
3035  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling Bitcoin Over Market Price? on: December 31, 2017, 10:03:25 PM
Are there really people that are paying 5 percent or more extra on top of the fees to buy btc on coinbase/gdax/gemini?

If thats the case, couldn't someone just buy btc there... then sell it to the other person at the agreed upon price?  Like imagine a person says they are looking for btc and then you check the price.  Then the other person agrees to buy from you at a certain rate plus 5 percent.  You then immediately go and buy btc on coinbase/gdax/gemini.  Then they sell it to the other person at agreed upon price plus 5 percent or more.  Wouldn't this work?  And do this quite a bit then you make money off the percentage?  Say you buy 10k in btc on gdax.  Someone pays you 10500.  They deposit cash in your bank account or wire you the money etc.
3036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who believes WAVES can go $100 USD 2018? on: December 31, 2017, 09:49:06 PM
Does anyone here think waves could be top 5 coin?  I thought this was possible now so many coins are ahead of waves now.
3037  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Does Bittrex, Coinbase/Gdax, Gemini report to the IRS? on: December 31, 2017, 09:47:55 PM
You sure thats 20k in profits?  How would they even know the 20k you are cashing out is profits?  Or you mean if you cash out 20k using coinbase?  Someone that is cashing out 20k from coinbase could easily be down money on other exchanges etc.  So how would they base the 20k on?
3038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin correlate with ETH and Litecoin? on: December 31, 2017, 08:59:27 PM
Does btc correlate with altcoins or not?  Because that seems to be how it is right now.  Because if thats the case, why not buy altcoins instead since it goes up a higher percentage than btc?  I mean if you want btc to triple, thats going to take a while. Altcoin seem to triple a lot easier if it is say few dollars or under 1 dollar etc.
3039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Deep Onion Price Speculation on: December 31, 2017, 08:58:05 PM
What site are you guys buying it from?  The site i saw it on coinmarketcap seems to not have good reviews etc.
3040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IRS taxing cryptocurrency trades starting Jan. 1st. on: December 31, 2017, 08:56:47 PM
My accountant mentioned i believe not 100 percent sure but he said any trade whether altcoin to altcoin is taxable.  He said like exchanges doesn't apply.

The thing is even if bittrex gives out financial info, there is no usd being traded.  So if someone does a trade for 100 dollars profit and that person doesnt report capital gains or losses, then they would have issue?
The other issue if ppl could use other exchanges and have gains or losses there.  Like someone could profit 5k on bittrex but lose 5k or more on binance.  But you are telling me that person better have some number showing for capital gains then?

What about if you dont do any trading on that date and afterwards but have bitcoin and altcoins there and dont do any trading?  What about if you withdraw your btc or altcoins to your wallet etc.  Obviously that is nothing right since you arent trading it?

Yea the thing is if they do it where they actually send you a 1099 or whatever that is, then it would be very easy.  Thus here is your profit/loss statement.  The issue though here is this number wouldn't even be correct because when you sell the btc for altcoin and vice versa, they have no idea at what price you bought the btc you send them at.  So there would be no way to calculate it.  I think you could calculate profit loss on the site only but not the entire case because your btc could be bought at 1k or 5k or 10 etc.  It would be nice if these exchanges did everything in usd.  If that was it, its easy to calculate.

The issue is those ppl who do lot of trades.  Or those ppl who receive and send btc a lot but do tiny amounts like 10 dollars and below.  When you are using fifo, lifo or whatever method... that is a huge headache.  How can anyone even do this?  The other thing is what about fees you pay when trading?  Are those fees expenses?  Or are those fees like a 10 dollar fee... a fee that is from btc being bought at a certain price.  I mean imagine you get btc 30 times and got them at 30 different prices and these prices were between 1 dollar and 5 dollars.  You going to have to record not only every single transaction, but you need to deduct depending on fifo or lifo how much btc is left etc.  This is basically impossible for someone to do this if they receive btc or send btc many times with small amounts.  The only ppl that wont be affected by this are those ppl are just buy and hold or buy few times only.  When you sell, its a headache because what if during that time, you had friends sending you 5 dollars in btc several times etc.  Then you buy altcoin again.  Well you have to make sure that 5 dollar in btc from those friends of yours are the last one out or something.

Does anyone here get what im saying here?  Because this would be beyond ridiuclous to calculate.
